Hagen Espresso Bar (Hagen Notting Hill)

Great coffee. I’ve been meaning to try their coffee and a couple of times I visited during the day I saw the queues but if you go early in the morning when they open (7 am) there are no queues. Their coffee is authentic with alternative milk options. You can definitely smell, taste and enjoy great coffee here.

We stopped by Hagen Espresso Bar because it wasn’t crowded. We ordered a cappuccino, a latte, and a hot chocolate. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out. An okay spot for a quick coffee break, but not particularly memorable.

The coffees here were nice and strong and reasonably priced - £10.50 for 2 americanos and an iced oat latte. The atmosphere is also lovely and there are some nice stools outside. The real downsides are that all drinks are served in to-go cups, even if you’re sitting in. There’s also no bathroom, so it’s not somewhere I’d recommend for a sit in coffee.

Great quick stop for espresso in Notting Hill. Some seating outside but overall better to grab and go. They even have fresh squeezed orange juice there which was cool. I got a flat white with almond milk which was great.

Business that’s good at marketing but terrible coffee 😣 , disregarding the neighbour 😡 and not very honest 🤥 . What does it mean by not very honest? Not sure where “best coffee in town” comes from but it certainly level akin to some chain. And why disregarding the neighbour? Constantly blocking the pavement and today they go as far as putting a heavy pot in the middle of the road! Not sure they even know what rules mean 😡

I’ve been coming to Hagen regularly and it’s honestly one of my favourite spots in London for coffee. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and there’s a really nice buzz about the place. Lisa, Mike, and Olly have looked after me on most of my visits—they’re genuinely friendly, know their stuff, and always go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The flat white is consistently spot on, and you can tell real care goes into every cup. If you’re after great coffee and top-notch service in a chilled, stylish setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

After reading lots of good reviews and hearing of the hypes of this espresso bar, I thought I must try their coffee. One word… disappointed! Coffee was lukewarm, average roast coffee and very watery flat white. Maybe my standards are high after being to really good coffee places but this place is just good enough for the unassuming tourists. Service was nice enough but not overwhelming.

It’s truly the best coffee in town!! Trivia- we met a celebrity here (who will remain unnamed because they requested to be) and I think the barista had no idea that they are worshipped in their home country. Tells you that the coffee is truly special!
