A Perfect Escape with Exceptional Dining – 10/10 I recently treated myself to a night in one of the cabins, and it was one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating experiences I’ve had in a long time. The peaceful sound of waves crashing and birds singing created the perfect backdrop for a serene getaway. What truly set the experience apart, however, was the meal. From start to finish, everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. It was clear that every element was crafted from scratch with care and attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation were truly outstanding – a 10/10 experience. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional food, this is the place. Highly recommended!

My so and I stayed in a lovely cabin at Haida House from June 1st- June 8th .|Our trip was aptly named “ the Haida Experience “ and it didn’t disappoint.I don’t remember ever having a trip when everything was so perfect. The Haida House is beautiful. The setting is peaceful. The staff are amazing. Everyone we met was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. It is wonderful to see the whole team working together to make sure that the guests have the best visit possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals are amazing , and more than ample. My son eats gluten and dairy free. There was never a problem. |I didn’t expect that we would be so busy. Every detail was well thought out. We saw much more of Haida Gwaii than we would have seen if we had been travelling independently. I am 86 and I was able to do all the activities ( except the climb up Tow Hill !!)| I could go on and on. The Haida is a beautiful place to stay. All the staff are great, but Ed , the operation’s manager and Meishon, who I believe can do everything, are real standouts. The Haida people are vey special, kind, proud and very happy to share their stories and love of Haida Gwaii.

Very disappointing!! I had high hopes for this restaurant being our first time there. We were a group of 9 and we all ordered breakfast. My husband and daughter ended up ordering child's pancakes, and added bacon and eggs. The food took 1.5 hours to come out and was barely warm. And each item was brought out seperately... all Luke warm. The wait staff was friendly but didn't come to our table often for drink top-ups. I am sad to say I did not tip as I was extremely dissatisfied.

Haida Gwaii has always held a special fascination for me, and spending a week at Haida House only deepened that connection. From the moment my mom and I arrived, we were welcomed with a thoughtfully curated 7-day itinerary that immersed us in the rich culture, history, and natural beauty of the islands.||Led by the incredible Ed and Maishon, the Haida House team went above and beyond to make each day memorable. We visited ancient village sites, watched master carvers at work, admired towering poles, and learned the art of Haida weaving. We shared in traditional local feasts and explored breathtaking landscapes by land and kayak — spotting whales, seabirds, and even a majestic black bear (safely viewed from the dining room window!).||The hospitality throughout was warm, generous, and rooted in deep storytelling traditions that made every encounter meaningful.||Our ocean-facing cottage was the perfect retreat — spacious, peaceful, and complete with a private patio hot tub that my mom and I made great use of.||Haida House isn't just a place to stay — it’s an experience, a journey into a living culture, and a connection to the land and people of Haida Gwaii. I’m so grateful for the memories we made here and for the Haida House team brought them to life

Had the most excellent brunch today at Haida House after a glorious long beach walk. We wandered in 10 mins before closing and they were most gracious and made us feel very welcome. Two eggs Benny, one with salmon and one with bacon. SO GOOD!!!

Unfortunately, our experience was not great. While the servers were friendly, the food was served cold, and 1.5 hours after we ordered. 2 other tables, who ordered after us, were served, paid and left prior to our food coming out.

It was pretty disappointing, the service was really slow, it took a full hour for our food to arrive. When it finally did, the food was only slightly warm, which was a letdown, also our food was brought in pieces at a time.

My stay here was a dream! My family and I stayed in one of the cabins and it was such a wonderful experience... morning walks on the beach and evenings in the hot tub on our private balcony in the trees. The cabin had everything we needed and if there was anything more we wanted, all we had to do was ask the lovely staff at the front desk who were so helpful and kind. If I ever find my way back to beautiful Haida Gwaii, I would love to stay at this incredible place again. And also dine at their restaurant which is exquisite to say the least :)
