Haj Boujamaa Plates

I had a good overall experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, prices were reasonable, the service was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of issues that took away from the experience. Some dishes were missing key ingredients, and my order wasn’t prepared correctly. The waiter mentioned that the chef simply forgot, which felt unprofessional. I hope the management takes note and improves attention to detail in the future, as the place has great potential.

Nice place if you are foody , picky with food. You will taste real Moroccan food, Tanjia , tagine, fish, others food... You love it and come again.

The food was good and the service quite fast and professional. We had a tanjia (500g) which came with a huge bone that obviously counted towards the overall weight. At first we ate without paying too much attention to it but when we went to pay the bill, we asked the waiter if the bone counted towards the weight and he said yes and that we should have told him about it earlier. Obviously it’s easy to say that when the client is unhappy and you were clearly aware you sold a 500g made of at least 200g of bone. If they’d get more transparent about their portions, we would give a higher rating. The soups are good beside they put 5 pieces of sea food and call it sea food soup, that was ok !Also I want to add that I heard the waiter talking behind my back with his friend about me and my wife thinking we don’t understand Darija until his friend stop him and told him I speak the language and changed the topic.

Absolutely nasty we regretted going there, only went there due to the pictures posted against the reviews but don't let that fool you as there is no seasoning what so ever on the grill meats and the beef tagine was so overwhelming with the taste of lemon which ruined the dish, the mixed juice that we ordered was horrid aswell. I would advise tourists not to go here was recommended by the hotel receptionist however it's made me sick, PROJECTILE VOMITING constantly For four days and sick other ways aswell until a week after. To top it all off the server took 20dh out of the 200dh I gave to pay the bill thinking I wouldn't notice. Edit:- had food poisoning for just over 7 days due this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, you're better off going to mcdonalds than to hit up this restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant. The reviews driving their ratings down are injust in my opinion. We have been in Marrakech for 4 days now and this is the best dinner we had out of so many restaurants as we like to diversify when on holiday. Speedy service, attentive waiters happy to help with any inquiries and food tasted great. We will come back to Haj Boujemaa Plates for sure and would recommend it to everyone! Merci
