Haj Boujamaa Plates

I had a good overall experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, prices were reasonable, the service was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of issues that took away from the experience. Some dishes were missing key ingredients, and my order wasn’t prepared correctly. The waiter mentioned that the chef simply forgot, which felt unprofessional. I hope the management takes note and improves attention to detail in the future, as the place has great potential.

A friend recommended the place, which seemed nice. Went there to eat lamb, unfortunately the lamb was out of stock. Decided to eat sheep with fig and (very) unfortunately the sheep was out of stock. Then asked for rabbit, surprisingly (very very unfortunately) the rabbit was out of stock. Continued with a desire to eat beef with vegetables, but (very very very very) unfortunately vegetables was out of stock. Finally, begged for a rfissa but (very x 5) unfortunately it was out of stock. Ended up with an overcooked beef with prunes, a shame it was tasty but very hard to schew. The moral of the story is, don't hesitate to ask what they can serve, and don't rely on the honesty of the waiters.

The food was good and the service quite fast and professional. We had a tanjia (500g) which came with a huge bone that obviously counted towards the overall weight. At first we ate without paying too much attention to it but when we went to pay the bill, we asked the waiter if the bone counted towards the weight and he said yes and that we should have told him about it earlier. Obviously it’s easy to say that when the client is unhappy and you were clearly aware you sold a 500g made of at least 200g of bone. If they’d get more transparent about their portions, we would give a higher rating. The soups are good beside they put 5 pieces of sea food and call it sea food soup, that was ok !Also I want to add that I heard the waiter talking behind my back with his friend about me and my wife thinking we don’t understand Darija until his friend stop him and told him I speak the language and changed the topic.

Haj Boujamaa Plats delivers top-notch meat food with a menu full of tasty options. The ambiance is warm and comfortable, perfect for a pleasant meal. The staff is welcoming and efficient….

Nice place if you are foody , picky with food. You will taste real Moroccan food, Tanjia , tagine, fish, others food... You love it and come again.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant. The reviews driving their ratings down are injust in my opinion. We have been in Marrakech for 4 days now and this is the best dinner we had out of so many restaurants as we like to diversify when on holiday. Speedy service, attentive waiters happy to help with any inquiries and food tasted great. We will come back to Haj Boujemaa Plates for sure and would recommend it to everyone! Merci
