Haka House Christchurch

Great place to stay, is affordable tidy and modern interior. Reception staff are friendly and kind. I used the kitchen and was looking for a toaster but couldn't find one which disappointed me as I wanted one for cooking breakfast crumpets. Alternatively I used a frying pan, but for toast that option is far from ideal for me and other guests using bread too. So please get a toaster for the kitchen is my one critique. Everything else was pretty good Rooms are comfortable to sleep in with a bed curtain for privacy.

Rooms are as always very comfortable, great beds and love the curtains and private chargers. Toilet has a shower so its private and nice - missed a hairdryer though! Staff is friendly and location was good near to the riverside market and all. Only thing that deduct stars is paying for luggage storage. Its such a pity, when booking a high end hostel that this is not included as a good sevice.

I had a great stay at Haka House Christchurch. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and very well located, making it easy to explore the city. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Diego, Flavio, Tomás, and Fabián were incredibly professional, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Their positive attitude and dedication truly make a difference and create a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Christchurch and would happily stay here again.

Really good hostel in the center of the city ! I was in a shared room of 4 beds. There were curtains wich is always appreciated. Room was clean. Beds really comfortable. Quiet Bathroom also perfect. Really good kitchen, well equiped.

Excellent place to stay if you’re a backpacker! It’s very cheap, but I was surprised at what it is for the price. The location is amazing and is about a 10 minute walk from New Regent Street for breakfast. The bus that goes directly to the airport is right by the backpackers as well. Beds are very comfy and come with a privacy curtain. The only downside is that the female room has one bed without a curtain, which I didn’t like/expect. The guy on reception was very kind and upgraded me to another room without any extra cost which I was very thankful for. The guests were very quiet and there’s an area to meet fellow backpackers if you want to. I highly recommend coming here, it was a great experience. It’s better than most backpackers which cost more.

I checked in around midnight. There's a key safe at the entrance, they send you a code, and you take your key card. There are many cool people inside. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly. For the price, this place is just perfect for a couple of nights.I booked a 3-bed female-only dorm.

It is very close to Christchurch CBD, the place is cosy and clean but it just gets noisy at times due to the audible closing of heavy doors, and some tenants didn't follow the house rule of being quiet from 10pm to 7am. All in all, Haka House is still a great place to stay if you want to explore the CBD area and not stay in bed all day.
