Hakatamon Ramen

Just three gals, out and about. So hungry, so lost, and then all of a sudden... Like an oasis in the desert, as the sweat drips down our brows, Hakatamon Ramen appears. Angels sing, trumpets sound, "a table for three please". A second, a minute, 5 minutes tops, we're seated with ramen Infront. Pork, veg, garlic, amen. Blessed. Rich. Succulent. Noodles. Delicious, jammy egg. Generous serving size. Lotus chip so yum in my tum. 5 star. Would recommend.

5 stars because honestly no complaints. Good old fashioned table service, ramen broth was delicious. Yummy chasu, Noodles firm and not soggy, cooked perfectly. Reasonable pricing. Highly reccomend!

The ramen here is absolutely delicious, and the outdoor dining area is just so charming! It's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal!

Visited this spot on a weekend away and it was really good! Seemed quite fancy but managed to get right in and get a bench seat. Ordered quite quickly and received the food a lot quicker too! I got the Kimchi Chicken Bao and the Hakatamon Tonkatsu, both delicious, perfect for the winter weather at the time. Really generous sizing but the best part was the pork, easily the tastiest ramen pork I’ve ever had, with a really nice Smokey flavour. Will for sure come back here next time I’m in Sydney.

My family of 3 had a lovely lunch that took us back to being in Japan. My Prawn Tonkotsu Ramen had such a beautiful depth of flavour. My wife loved her Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl, whilst my son devoured his Black Tonkotsu Ramen. The serving sizes are good and felt like good value for money. Highly recommended!

Classic tonkotsu ramen. Stingy on the meat tho, got 2 thin slices 😭but for $16 it's one of the cheapest. So if I get extras, it matches other ramen joints that charge $26 for 3 to 4 slices. I feel like they should just set this price by default and overall experience will be uplifted for everyone. Less customisation = better customer experience.

Cute restaurant in Darling Quarter. No reservations taken so we had a short wait to be seated. We sat outside it was really pleasant. Pork katsu was crispy and served with a mild curry and salad topped with a delicious dressing. The prawn and pork dumpling ramen was served in a delicious seafood broth. My favourite was the trio of bao buns. Katsu chicken and kimchi, braised pork belly and a prawn and tartare sauce. All staff were very friendly and patient to explain the different menu options.

Ramen was nice but nothing special. Maybe I will try their signature ramen next time. I do like the location, very convenient.
