Türkiye's proud ice cream in Sydney! I loved that it melts a lot slower than regular italian gelatos so I didn't have to rush it. More time to slowly enjoy the Turkish ice cream! Also the Turkish friendliness of the Hakiki team was on point, Turkey's kindness never lets me down. Looking forward to swinging by again soon for my next Hakiki slice

I’ve had a lot of baklava in my time and this is by far the best it’s oozing with buttery syrup I especially loved the apple cinnamon. It was my first time trying Turkish ice cream the melon and feta was so good I got a tub. The Turkish delight was also incredible. Don’t go here if you’re high

The pistachio flavor here is basically their classic vanilla coated generously with pistachio nuts. Thanks to the friendly staff, we enjoyed it a lot! However, I still haven’t found my all-time favorite gelato yet… 😂

Was just looking for a post-lunch scoop of ice cream when we found Hakiki. We ended up leaving after having their Hakiki slice (Turkish ice cream sandwiched inside a slice of their gorgeous baklava made in-house) and coffee brewed from their own blend. Staff and customer service is on point. Kaan was an absolute pleasure and great service right off the bat. Very easygoing energy, and helped us decide what to order as first-timers in no time. The Melon + Feta and Banana + Cinnamon ice cream flavours are delicious, and the texture has a certain chewiness and bite to it that actually makes it the perfect texture to have in a pastry. It’s slower to melt, held together in slices, and and allowed us to take our time to have sips of coffee in between. Their house blend is perfectly balanced- not overly bitter or acidic, great to have on its own. Newtown locals have a gem in their hands for sure.

All I can say is yummmmmmmyyyy the Baklava and Turkish coffee ice cream was to die for ❤️😎 and the Turkish delight comes in rose water, lemon, mint, orange flavors and the Baklava are coming home with us .. if they make it !! #hakikiturkishicecream #longweekend #icecream #Baklava

Hakiki, which translates to authentic, real and/or genuine, lives up to its name in every way. It’s a must-stop for me whenever I’m in Sydney. The range of flavours are stunning, and the authentic Maraş dondurma (ice cream) is as beautiful as it is unique. Perfectly balanced and stretchy like chewing gum, the way it’s meant to be! My personal favourites? Turkish Delight, Turkish Coffee, and the surprisingly addictive yet unique Mediterranean flavour of Melon + Feta. These are must tries if you haven’t already… Flavour combos that are bold and unforgettable. Their desserts are equally impressive, with baklava that comes in its authentic self and a twist (the rhubarb flavour is a game-changer). Pair it all with their authentic Turkish çay (tea) or coffee and you’ve got the perfect experience. I love that Newtown is the OG store with its unbeatable vibe, but the expansion to Burwood makes indulging even easier. I’ve sent countless friends to try the experience of Hakiki and they’ve all fallen in love too. It’s never disappointing. Hakiki isn’t just dessert… it’s exactly what its name promises: genuine, authentic, and unforgettable.

My friend and I eat a lot of ice cream and we really loved the one at Hakiki! There was so much to love about it - from the flavours that you don't find at other stores, to the different textural feel in your mouth. It is so unique. I ordered a double scoop of Turkish coffee and baklava ($9.50) while my friend had Turkish delight and strawberry. The serving size was extremely generous. Service was excellent, too. The shop is not that big and it was very busy. Staff patiently let us try various flavours. They were efficient, friendly, courteous, warm, and welcoming. They added to a fun and enjoyable night out for us. I would highly recommend stopping by and eating the ice cream here!
