Been here about 5 times in the past 3 months. Ordered pickup each time, and it's pretty much a takeout spot. Big open-kitchen style setup so it can get a fairly smokey indoors. They tend to get really busy, so best to call and order ahead. The food is delicious and incredible value. Big portion sizes and we always end up having leftovers. Chilli chicken, chilli paneer, chicken momos, veg & chicken manchurian, fish pakora, chicken lollipops, chowmein and fried rice are all great, and my personal fave is the crispy beef. The only thing I haven't liked is the tandoori chicken fried rice, but that could be just me. The team here are amazing. Friendly & helpful, and service is relatively quick. Will keep going back!

We ordered takeout from Hakka Bistro and were pleasantly surprised! We got the spring rolls, chili chicken (gravy), and the chicken, beef & shrimp chow mein. The food arrived piping hot, and the portions were generous. The chili chicken had a nice balance of spice and sauce, and they even included extra white rice with it, which was a great touch. The chow mein was loaded with meat and had great texture. There was a slightly strong ginger flavor in some dishes, which might stand out for those who are sensitive to it, but nothing overwhelming. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a re-order. Looking forward to trying more items from their menu next time!

Exceptional food quality at this hakka place and the dishes taste authentic. There is no dine in area, this is purely a cloud kitchen designed for takeaway or delivery. The tandoori chicken hakka noodles is highly recommended, the chicken momos were delicious too

I've ordered takeout from here a few times, and it just hits the spot when I'm craving hakka. Is it the best? No. That said, it is reasonably priced and the food is good. My favourites are the chili chicken, hakka noodles, and lollypop chicken. Just some great comfort food!

This place is always 🔥 I discovered them during the pandemic and they’ve been my favourite place for Hakka since, and that’s saying a lot since they’re takeout only. Even though it’s only takeout they do a lot of small things to make the meal better. I.e. they package a lot of their fried foods in paper boxes that don’t completely trap in the moisture, so your food stays crispy during delivery. They also provide you with white rice for every main dish you get, so you never have to buy rice separately. Also provide plenty of their various sauces so you have lots of ways to spice up your food further. For the food, my go-tos are the crispy beef and the chicken lollipops. The fried beef is so sweet, crispy and spicy with the sauce. Such an addicting dish. Lollipops are always seasoned well and are way better than most wings. They’re the perfect finger food. Also highly recommend their momos. They come filled with a lot of meat and I prefer to get them steamed and covered in their sauce (thick curry like). Also pictured are the fish pakoras, which were fried and seasoned really well, with big chunks of white fish. Can’t recommend Hakka Bistro enough if you’re looking for a delicious night in with huge portions.

Veg manchurian tasted old and was stale. Please cook fresh food and maintain proper refrigeration of ingredients. Tasted like it was cooked days ago. I am feeling really nauseous and my stomach is upset, hopefully I won’t get sick 🙏

March 2025: superb as it is and was, this is now my hoto place for Indian Hakka Chinese, specially the ones we get in eastern Indian side in Kolkata. I just love their fried rice and noodles too much. November 2024- 2 years later my review is same. Im from eastern part of india and this is first time i felt taste of home. They followed my request and spice level was just perfect. They also gave rice extra with Chilli Chicken which I was surprised. But overall good food wanna try more and once more very good chiken Fried Rice. June,2022 - was just passing by and say this place serving Chinese food and by the name it looked like it would be somewhat similar to our Indian Chinese or rather noodles/chowmein from north east india. I bet it was too good the only 1 star less due to excess use of soya sauce. Rest the Hakka chicken chowmein was delicious . I would like to try more from this place the next time I visit. Thanks

Best Hakka in Toronto thus far. I’ve been searching for a Hakka spot to replace my beloved one in Vancouver, and I’ve finally found one after a few years of searching. The food here is delightful and full of flavour. It’s not diluted for the western palate. Expect strong flavours, proper spices, and well rounded combination of hot peppers. It’s fantastic. Don’t skip out on this one. Today we tried the sesame crispy beef - which had a huge amount of beef with smaller outer coating, by far the best we’ve had in the city. We had the Chili chicken which was fantastic, Szechuan style noodles with 3 meats, chicken, shrimp, beef fried rice, and 4 spring rolls which were doubled for free. The cost is more than reasonable and quite a bargain for the quality and quantity of food. We can’t wait to get more dishes on this menu. Compliments to the chef and the staff for creating this gem.

I've only ever ordered takeout here, so no evaluation is provided for either service or ambiance. The food is generally on a heat level higher than other Hakka places I've eaten from, so keep that in mind for sensitivities. What's kind of unique to this place is the triple szechuan dishes that come with fried rice, chow mein, all topped with an omelet and your choice of protein. The sliced beef manchurian is my favorite but boy does it pack a punch. Stir fried bok choy is flavorful and not overdone. The prices are generally more reasonable compared to competitors and you do get a portion of rice with mains, something their competitors are doing less of these days.

Got takeout from here and it was decent quality! The price point was great. The menu is quite extensive and lots of variety.

Not much to say. Simple take out spot. Friendly and fast. The flavour was so accurate and bursting in my mouth!!!!! Bombay Hakka noodles made my night. The portions are amazing just like left overs.

Got food doordashed from here, it was fast and food was still hot, highly recommend the beef, ot was my favorite dish

First time to try Hakka Bistro. Ordered Fish Pakora, Bombay beef( with Gravy) Chili Chicken( with Gravy), Chowmein & Chili Chicken. Loved everything I ordered. Fish Pakora was very flavorful and there were big chunks of filet inside the batter. Both Chili Chicken and Bombay Beef had a good level of spiciness. Bombay beef had a bit sour taste but I am not really sure what the difference are between Chili, Manchrian and Bombay version to be honest. Chowmein was prepared just the way I liked it. Momo was excellent as well. Very happy with portion size because leftover next day always tastes good!!

Ordered delivery from Hakka Bistro and was pleasantly surprised with the food which was well prepared, great taste and had plentiful portions. We ordered Hot & Sour soup, Chilli Chicken and Hakka Style noodles. Definitely a restaurant from where to order again and maybe try different dishes.

Ordered this via Doordash and it came piping hot in massive serving sizes (took me 3 days to eat everything). It was DELICIOUS. So good that I ordered it again a week later to try some of their other menu items. The Chow Mein (manchurian style) was incredible and the chili chicken and sesame crispy beef (sweet and savory) were amazing. The momos were plump and perfectly cooked. The sweet & sour soup was one of the heartiest I've ever had, they did not skimp with the veggies and tofu. This is going to be a new staple for me and I cannot wait to order from them again. A must-try for sure.

You would never guess this place is as amazing as it is. It's on a busy street. Limited street parking and nothing really stands out about this place from the street. Once you go inside, there's enough room to order your food and wait. There is no in store dining. The food here is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken dinner. The portions are huge. I always tell myself that I'm going to save half the meal for later but I end of devouring the entire thing in the car because it's so delicious.

I have previously been ordering from Hakka Bistro. The last order was on the 2nd of February 2025. We ordered Hakka Rice Noodles with chicken Ordered this item many times before and always tasty. This last order however was off. It was very salty, void of flavour from anything else. The noodles looked clumpy. Not sure why it changed so horribly bad.

Was looking for a new hakka spot in downtown as there really aren't many great ones. Overall I'd say this one was pretty good. The ingredients were quality, and the flavors are pretty good but need an extra little something to get to that next level. Here's the rundown: - chicken corn soup: good, egg was quite clumpy tho and not stirred enough at the start - chow mein: one of my favourites, with a bit more acidity (I added vinegar) this would be on point - vegetable fried rice: this one needs a bit more flavour, I thought it was slightly under sauced - crispy sesame beef: this one was decent, and the meat to batter ratio was great but the meat was just a bit too dry and chewy; also felt like the sauce needed a little bit more kick to it Overall this was a solid spot, and I'd definitely order from here again!

Such a hidden gem in Torontos Eastend Cabbagetown! I've ordered from here twice, and staff is always consistently polite, friendly & serve up delicious food! We have tried: First visit takeout: -Hakka noodles w.beef (protein choice of chicken, beef, shrimp, veggies) 5/5 -Chili chicken w.gravy (optional w.no gravy- dry) 5/5 quite spicy though -Crispy beef 4.5/5 a tad too tough but flavours are great -Veggie pakora 3.5/5 a tad too dry and dense Second visit takeout: -***Manchurian chicken - dry (choice of dry or gravy) 5/5 VERY DELICIOUS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!*** -Singapore noodles - beef (choice of beef, chicken, shrimp or veggie) 5/5 -Shrimp in Lobster sauce 4/5 was pretty good but the sauce was way too watery (watery black bean sauce?) Next time I'd order it w.extra eggs in the sauce - just a personal preference. Price is really fair and portions are standard. I find takeout/eating out is just way too expensive these days. This is our go to for affordable and super delicious Hakka cuisine. Consistent quality and flavour. Our favourites: Hakka Tandoori Chicken, Veg Manchurian with gravy, Shrimp Pakoras, chicken momos, and the sesame crispy beef. We have never been disappointed!

Ordered delivery from these guys. Great portions. I found the Hakka noodles to be great. And loved their mango lassi.

Finally something good in this location. I ordered the fried rice with chicken, beef, and shrimp, the Bombay chicken, the chow mein, and some beef momos. It was all super tasty. I was very pleased. The Bombay chicken was so delicious, and a perfect amount of spicy/pretty spicy. The only thing I would say is that the pastry on the momos isn't great, they should change it. But I'm so happy this place is here, and it's open late, and in this area!

If you're from Mumbai and want the same hakka style just tell them and they will do it and its extremely flavorful! Its a take out joint. But the staff is extremely polite and great with accommodating your taste.

I've only had it through delivery but oh man its so good. They're spices are on point and food is fresh! We order it maybe twice a week. Love the chicken pakoras, rice noodles and chicken drumsticks.
