*Free* beautiful park! [Nex too kids amusement world] The trees are beautifully grown and grown to be in shapes. Loved the water foundations. Has an observation deck. Has bathroom and vending machines on site.

Hakodate Park is a delightful spot that combines natural beauty and cultural attractions, making it a perfect destination for both locals and visitors. One of the park’s highlights is its stunning sakura blossoms during spring. The park is a popular spot for hanami (flower viewing), where you can enjoy picnicking under the blooming cherry trees. The sight of the delicate pink petals in full bloom is truly a breathtaking experience, drawing visitors from all over to admire nature’s beauty. Aside from the cherry blossoms, Hakodate Park is home to several interesting attractions. For fans of the popular Pokémon franchise, the Hakodate Pokémon manhole cover is a fun and quirky addition to the park. It's a unique and playful detail that adds to the charm of the area, offering a perfect photo opportunity for fans. In addition, the park is surrounded by numerous museums, making it a great spot for those interested in culture and history. Whether you're exploring art, history, or local heritage, there's something to pique your interest in the nearby museums. For families, Hakodate Park also features Children's World, a wonderful area where kids can enjoy various outdoor activities and attractions. It's a great place for families to relax and for children to have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

My friend who lives in Hakodate intoduced me to this small but very nice park in Horaicho! Sakura were in full bloom but the small but friendly zoo was very nice. And free! Did not eat anything since we had just had a very delicious lunch at her favorite cafe but the food stalls all looked delicious. Next time for sure!

Beautiful park with a fountain and cherry blossom lined walking trails. There is also a small zoo and an amusement park. Would be a great place to bring children or to have a picnic. At night the park is lit up by lanterns that make it look magical. The Hakodate city museum is located in the center and there are food and toy stalls set up during Golden week.

This is a beautiful park. We went on the 1st week of May to catch the cherry blossoms. We were around a week late for the full bloom. However, there were still trees with flowers. You can still see the evidence of the previous week's full bloom as there are petals scattered on the ground and in the pond. Aside from the cherry blossoms, the other trees were nice to look at. The park is not that big it is easy to cover on foot. There is also a zoo with some nice animals: eagle, small and colorful birds, swan, miniature horse. The park is a very short walk from the tram station. The park is also around 10 to 20 minutes walk from the cape.

It’s nice, but not sure it’s worth visiting if you are staying far from here. It’s small & the trees are probably only pretty during spring. There’s no much to see during winter except for some cats 🐱
