Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park

Went on Dec 31st, 2025 & Jan 2nd, 2026. Great snow coverage, lifts are fast, staff helpful and efficient. Highly recommend buying ticket online and picking up at kiosk. I love that one ticket gives access to both Goryu (Escal plaza & Iimori) and 47. There’s also a shuttle running between the bases. A huge bonus is the onsen at Escal Plaza. Perfect after a day in the slopes.

First time snow boarding and it was great! This resort in my opinion is the best because one pass gets you to Goryu too so it’s a good deal. And throughout the period, it was the only resort open. We were supposed to go to Happo one resort too but it kept closing due to bad snow conditions. No idea why but Hakuba47 and Goryu were still open! In the end we managed to pick up snowboarding easily and comfortably and managed to go down a red slope at the end!

Love the half pipe part of the ski area. When it’s snowing the side pow is so fun. When groomed it’s perfect to practice some nice carving. Also great to jump in and out of the small size half pipe. Slight complain is it might get busy during those nice skiing days.

Slopes are great for beginners. The ski school offers a discount on gear if you do group or private lessons with them. You can leave your gear indoors overnight at the ski school which makes it super convenient.

Absolutely Incredible Snow Experience at Hakuba 47! Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the mountain vibes were unbeatable—breathtaking scenery, perfectly groomed slopes, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere that made it one of the best ski destinations I’ve ever visited. The variety of runs caters to all levels, from wide, gentle slopes for beginners to thrilling tree runs and terrain parks that kept the adrenaline pumping. The snow quality was top-tier, light and fluffy powder that made every run a dream. The lift system was efficient, and the staff were super friendly and helpful—even on busy days, things moved smoothly. One of the highlights was the terrain park—it’s seriously one of the best in Japan. Whether you’re just starting with jumps or you’re a seasoned freestyler, it’s got something for everyone. Plus, the views from the top of the mountain are simply unreal. You can see across the whole valley—pure magic. Facilities are clean and well-organized, with plenty of places to grab food or warm up with hot drinks. The rental gear was high quality, and instructors were knowledgeable and patient, making it great for families and solo travelers alike. I’ll definitely be coming back. Hakuba 47 is a must-visit if you’re into winter sports, stunning alpine scenery, and unforgettable snow adventures. 10/10.

Great ski resort. Offers trails for skiers of all experience levels, stunning views, and nice dining and other facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hakuba Goryu is easily accessible by gondola.

Great place for advance skiers and snowboarders! No begginer slopes at the bottom of the resort. Lots of tree riding zones and big freestyle park!

This is the Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park visited at the beginning of Feb 2024 for skiing. Fortunately, there is fresh powder snow as it has snowed in the last night and the most of the slopes at the mountaintop are excellent. The slope from the mountaintop for intermediate has a fantastic view I love it. The Route 1 for intermediate and the Route 2 for advanced are perfectly groomed and so flat, there are great for curving. The Route 3 is so steep and has moguls. There is a huge, paved, and free parking lot in front of the snow resort. Please note that the ticket is a common ticket for the Hakuba Goryu and Iimori.

Great mountain, small town feels, great people, great amenities, food options were awesome. Big fan, will definitely try to come back.

This is one of the resorts in the Hakuba Valley and each resort offers something unique. I was able to get to this resort from it's sister resort Gyoru by taking one of the lift across and riding down. Hakuba 47 has more terrain parks and moguls for those that are trying to practice. It's a smaller resort compared to Hakuba One. There are several food places at the top of this mountain and in the middle to rest and to fuel up. Mostly ramen and noodles, simple dishes. The lifts are easy and there's a few faster lifts. The runs are medium lengths and mostly short runs. The terrain park was fun.
