Hakuba 47

Went on Dec 31st, 2025 & Jan 2nd, 2026. Great snow coverage, lifts are fast, staff helpful and efficient. Highly recommend buying ticket online and picking up at kiosk. I love that one ticket gives access to both Goryu (Escal plaza & Iimori) and 47. There’s also a shuttle running between the bases. A huge bonus is the onsen at Escal Plaza. Perfect after a day in the slopes.

First time snow boarding and it was great! This resort in my opinion is the best because one pass gets you to Goryu too so it’s a good deal. And throughout the period, it was the only resort open. We were supposed to go to Happo one resort too but it kept closing due to bad snow conditions. No idea why but Hakuba47 and Goryu were still open! In the end we managed to pick up snowboarding easily and comfortably and managed to go down a red slope at the end!

Really good ski zone compared to the other resorts available. Gives you some really long ski runs with decently quick chairlifts too. It's a good vibe they have with lines moving quickly during peak periods. A lot of coverage on the mountain, gives you a really good ability to track all over if you're an experienced snow boarder

Great mountain for beginner snowboarders, interlinked with two other resorts that are also very beginner friendly.

Great day especially if your there with fresh snow and confident enough to take of the tree zone areas. Must go in to the Alice restaurant to obtain a TRZ pass (500 yen) after watching a 8 min safety video. Great riding for beginners up to high intermediate. Can't speak above that cause im not advanced. Went on a weekend while snow with fresh pow and still wouldn't complain about lift lines.

this is an excellent Park, well maintained runs, generally very good snow compared to the surrounding resorts and a good variety of expert to beginner runs. the only downside is the kids park is somewhat lacking

Great terrain even with thing snow cover. Can cross over to Goryu at the top.

Bit disappointed with this place, been here a few times. My husband (intermediate) and myself (beginner) both purchased a 1 day pass, went straight up the gondola to realise it was not safe conditions for myself as a beginner. I smashed my tailbone on ice before even having the chance to do one run. We went straight back down to leave and get a refund on just 1 pass as it was not safe to snowboard for myself. They refused to refund the pass even though it was not even 30 minutes after purchase. Although very strict rules on not reselling your passes to others. But no leniency when it comes to refunds. The snow was like concrete and you couldn’t see what it was like unless you went up the mountain. What a waste of money.

Great mountain, small town feels, great people, great amenities, food options were awesome. Big fan, will definitely try to come back.

This is one of the resorts in the Hakuba Valley and each resort offers something unique. I was able to get to this resort from it's sister resort Gyoru by taking one of the lift across and riding down. Hakuba 47 has more terrain parks and moguls for those that are trying to practice. It's a smaller resort compared to Hakuba One. There are several food places at the top of this mountain and in the middle to rest and to fuel up. Mostly ramen and noodles, simple dishes. The lifts are easy and there's a few faster lifts. The runs are medium lengths and mostly short runs. The terrain park was fun.
