Best for Biriyani. Halais biriyani is very much famous. Tourist also comes to taste the dishes. Snacks, dry fruits, chocolates, perfumes, dates, pickles are available. On weekend days, it will be too crowded.

A very good place in Alleppey for dinner. Tried all their signature dishes. They were just awesome. It’s behind a small store. Quite a decent ambience with partition for families. Fish was very tasty. Beef Biryani was different guess its Kerala style biryani but it was tastier. Shrimp creamy bucket was also awesome. Overall a very nice place for dinner.

Good food. We had Parotta and Alfaham,( take away) good food. Good dine in atmosphere. Very neatly the inerios of an old building converted to a good restaurant.road side parking, may be slightly difficult in rush times. Can enjoy the beauty of backwaters and the famous Aspinwal. Very clean dining area. Very good service staff. To my Muslim brothers - its very suggestive for the halal food. Very neat dining area and processing area

Had to wait almost 25 minutes at 2 o ‘clock noon to receive our Fish Biryani & Chicken Biryani. Fish Biryani was expensive and not up to the mark Chicken Biryani was ok Provided some smashed pappads served cold & salad Pepsi ordered but waiter forgot and we have to search another waiter to get one. Too many staff but less attention to customers

During our recent visit , we tried their Chicken Biryani, which is known to be one of their signature dishes—and it truly lived up to the reputation. The biryani was served with one fried chicken piece and another tender, gravy-coated piece, along with a few smaller chunks soaked in flavorful gravy. The rice was well-cooked, aromatic, and complemented perfectly by the accompaniments—salad, pappad, and their special lemon dates pickle, which added a delightful sweet-tangy twist to the meal. The Chicken Biryani, priced at ₹230, offered good value considering the portion and taste. We also tried their beverages: Fresh Lime (₹30) and Pineapple Lime (₹60)—both refreshing and a great addition to the meal. Another highlight was the staff service, which was prompt, courteous, and definitely worth appreciating. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience, especially for biryani lovers.

I tried the creamy shrimp and Mutton biriyani and both were worth it.

Shawarma is very nice. Never miss that nice pathri. Very very authentic restaurant for family. Nice pathri and beer fry are must try

Halais Restaurant left me a bit underwhelmed during my recent visit. I ordered the beef biryani, and while the beef itself was tender and well-cooked, the overall flavor of the dish was quite average. The biryani lacked the depth and richness you'd typically expect, making it feel a bit bland despite the quality of the meat. It wasn't a terrible experience, but definitely not the standout meal I was hoping for.
