These British Columbia Mountains Have a 530-mile Natural Hot Springs Trail — How to Plan Your Trip

"Set on a lakeside property that began as a late-1800s public sanatorium developed with the help of the Ktunaxa and Sinixt nations, this modern resort features lithium-rich geothermal water believed to benefit body and brain. Recent renovations added luxury King Cottages with fireplaces, Nespresso machines and walk-in steam showers, while the public springs offer jetted hot (104 F) and warm (99 F) pools plus a brisk 58 F polar plunge, all framed by panoramic views of Upper Arrow Lake and an improved lakefront hiking trail." - Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong is a San Francisco-based journalist who focuses on food, design, and travel. Overall, our water experience was quite amazing. It was so nice to be in not chlorinated water. We only stayed for 2 hours on an impulsive hot spring adventure. Lower pool must be salt water. Very relaxing. No noisy kids No staff interactions Change rooms very clean today Also, there was a place to fill water bottles, much appreciated Nice

I enjoyed my stay here. The cabins were great and the pools were nice with a beautiful view. Staff were also quite friendly. One thing that I found odd was that the restaurant suggested reservations and when we arrived there were no available reservations therefore no food options at the resort. Our only option was to drive about 25 min to Nakusp. That put us in a quite difficult situation as it was getting dark and there was no phone signal. Additionally, the cabin had extremely squeaky doors that woke everyone anytime someone tried to use the bathroom. Other than these 2 things, everything else was awesome including the spa.

Beautiful resort. I was very impressed that they didn’t let kids in the pool shortly after 9:00 PM. It was a perfect quiet time for adults. The seasonal pool is huge. You can easily swim. Hot Springs pools are good size too. Nice hiking path which takes you to the lake. Our cottage was ok. Unfortunately there was no closet, but lots of hooks to hang our stuff. Furniture was ok too. Nothing fancy, but practical. Bed was extra comfortable. After-hour checkout instructions are not clear, we might have missed the instructions. But after-hour staff who was on call was very helpful and let us know what to do. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this beautiful gem.

We had an amazing stay at Halcyon Hot Springs Resort! The views overlooking the lake and mountains are absolutely stunning, and the hot springs themselves were clean, well-maintained, and so relaxing, exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit, and the whole resort had a calm, laid-back vibe. We also really appreciated that they let us charge our EV during our stay, such a thoughtful touch that made things even more convenient. Whether you’re looking to unwind in the pools, take in the beautiful scenery, or just enjoy some quiet time, Halcyon is a perfect spot. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

We visited here a few years ago everything was near perfect! Now it’s lost its way, no breakfast, exactly one knife and one fork each, no spoons, no dishes, the web site does not mention you need to bring your own supplies. No information in the rooms and staff are no longer friendly just doing the minimum possible and not happy. The location is wonderful, the pools are wonderful, but who ever is reasonable for customer service needs attention to details for a tourist resort.

An otherworldly spot for immaculate relaxation. Take in the world-class scenery that is Arrow Lake. Soak your bones in some of the hottest hot spring water I've ever dipped in. Ride a pool noodle around a light lazy river in the main pool! Go for a swim in the swimming pool on the lower level! Halcyon Hot Springs is a gorgeous resort - I can't speak for the rooms, or the spa, or the food, or any of the amenities besides the pools themselves - but I'm sure it's all top-tier, high class stuff. One of the greatest hot springs I've ever visited. I recommend you visit too!

"11A" King Chalet is our ultimate favourite! It's the only lakefront property and conveniently located next to the hot springs, easiest walk. No stairs and so serene nestled amongst the trees. Full kitchen, spacious and comfy. 👍 great climate control too with the dual head heat pump! As not all units have AC but this one does! Has a nice fireplace too when it gets chilly. Best tip: try to book it for weekdays (instead of weekends) and enjoy it during the spring, fall and winter season - less crowds and so peaceful 😊

Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautiful place, the water was very relaxing, and the food was delicious. This was a part of a larger family trip and my brother and I shared a small cabin. The main bed was comfortable but the hide-a-bed was terrible; good thing the hot springs were close by. With such a high cost to the rooms, we were surprised that there was no breakfast provided. Bring snacks and stock up the fridge, because the only ‘limited’ breakfast option is expensive. FYI, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while.
