These British Columbia Mountains Have a 530-mile Natural Hot Springs Trail — How to Plan Your Trip

"Set on a lakeside property that began as a late-1800s public sanatorium developed with the help of the Ktunaxa and Sinixt nations, this modern resort features lithium-rich geothermal water believed to benefit body and brain. Recent renovations added luxury King Cottages with fireplaces, Nespresso machines and walk-in steam showers, while the public springs offer jetted hot (104 F) and warm (99 F) pools plus a brisk 58 F polar plunge, all framed by panoramic views of Upper Arrow Lake and an improved lakefront hiking trail." - Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong Leilani Marie Labong is a San Francisco-based journalist who focuses on food, design, and travel. We stayed in October 2025 and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the food at the resort but the price points were higher than we liked so we spent more time in Nakusp which has amazing food. The resort is well situated with a beautiful view and the pools are amazing. Because it's a smaller resort it did get crowded. All of the rooms are detached from the resort itself where the pools are so it involves walking to and from in your robe. We stayed in the Granby cottage and it was delightful. Had everything we needed and was very clean and well kept. It had a well stocked little kitchen with a hotplate. We enjoyed our time and would recommend.

Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our time at the property. The service was excellent—staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. The location is absolutely stunning. The surrounding nature, the pools, and the overall environment create a truly wow experience and are the highlight of the stay. That said, there were a few drawbacks in the room itself. The two-bedroom chalet was not fully equipped as expected. The fridge was very small, there was no dishwasher, and no dishwashing pad or basic supplies provided. Additionally, the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, which made it unsuitable for sleeping. Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive thanks to the amazing setting and the friendly staff. With some improvements to the room amenities and furniture, this place could be excellent.

We have an amazing Christmas holiday at the Halcyon with our 2 year old son. Amazing stay , amazing king cabin with magnificent view to the lake and forest . Hot pools with thermal water are fantastic, it’s was like a meditation for soul and body . Christmas dinner at your restaurant was so delicious and very interesting combination and flavour. Our stay was fantastic. Love your place !! The owner can write to us, we have suggestions

We were lucky enough to have the pools to us and a few small groups for about 45 minutes before troops of parties showed up, just like the snowflakes falling from above the pools. The first 45 minutes was absolutely tranquil and surreal. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The cold spring pool dip was one of my favorites, challenging you and also invigorating you. We did not get to see the stunning lake below us due to the snowy and cloudy weather, which gives us an excuse to come back in the future.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed 2 nights in one of the Queen Cabins. The cabin was cozy and clean. The hot spring pools were relaxing and a nice way to end each night. The staff were friendly and it appears as though they take great care of the property! I would recommend staying here!

We did a lovely day trip to the Halcyon Hot Springs Resort from Kelowna. It was my first time at any sort of hot spring and it definitely met my expectations. The entrance fee was fair at $18 and I don’t believe there was any sort of time limit. We were there for around 3 hours which felt like plenty of time to enjoy both of the spring fed hot pools and the cold plunge pool. There are lots of loungers to lay on as another option for cooling down or basking in the sun (on warmer days). The facility looked well maintained and also included a gift shop where you can purchase general supplies or even a towel/bathing suit if it’s been forgotten. Keep in mind that there a pay lockers on site for $1. However, we found that the lockers were unnecessary because we could easily place our belongings in sight while outside at the hot spring pools. Overall a great experience and I plan to come back again.

Google
Love the pools. The locker ate my coin and didn't work, so when I went to front desk I would have thought the agent would have just replaced it instead if needing more money from me. Not end of the world but customer service should be key.

Google
I enjoyed my stay here. The cabins were great and the pools were nice with a beautiful view. Staff were also quite friendly. One thing that I found odd was that the restaurant suggested reservations and when we arrived there were no available reservations therefore no food options at the resort. Our only option was to drive about 25 min to Nakusp. That put us in a quite difficult situation as it was getting dark and there was no phone signal. Additionally, the cabin had extremely squeaky doors that woke everyone anytime someone tried to use the bathroom. Other than these 2 things, everything else was awesome including the spa.

Yelp
Delicious roasted vegetable pappardelle dish. Service was great, The restaurant looks over the hot springs pools, a beautiful lake on the Columbia river, then lush Canadian Rockies views, highlighting Mt. Burnham. Heavenly!

Yelp
An over-priced and disappointing dining experience. The food was so-so at best. My husband had the cheese burger for $30 and it was bland and uninspiring. I ordered the mushroom caps. For $22, there wasn't much there. The waitress was unfriendly and almost surly. We won't be back.

Yelp
Cabins are clean and well appointed. The lodge is understaffed and desperately needs a sundries shop. That being said, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The food service areas are critically short staffed so it's difficult to give the restaurant a rating. It's a beautiful spot but you're paying for the view.

Yelp
We went here for my birthday and to get away for the holidays. It was the first time have gone out of the states and going to the Halcyon hot springs resort was phenomenal. We stayed in the Queen cabin, which was amazing. Heated floors throughout the whole cabin, heated bathroom mirror, large walk in shower with a rain shower head, and a bidet. The warm seat was such a nice pleasure when it's freezing cold out in Canada. The bed was comfy, the whole cabin felt cozy. The cabins are a short distance from the hot springs so that was a nice walk, especially after a nice hot soak. The staff takes great care of all the snow on walkways . First night of dinner at the Alcedo restaurant was delicious. I tried the 8 hour sous vide rabbit with fettuccine Alfredo. Amazing. The rabbit didn't taste gamey and it was very tender. The fettuccine Alfredo, wow. Was spectacular. I make my own Alfredo sauce and this sauce was spectacular, especially with the home made fettuccine noodles. I get a little weary ordering fettuccine noodles because they're too thick but these fettuccine noodles were perfectly thin with a nice bite. My boyfriend ordered the tenderloin, and that was spectacular as well. Especially since he typically orders a ribeye. All the wine and drinks were great as well. The next day for lunch we had the burgers and they were delicious burgers, the meat was well seasoned , there was sauce on the burger which made it more great because we hate a burger without condiments on it. The fries were hand cut and seasoned well. Breakfast was complimentary while we stayed there and typically one would think it's like the basic pancakes, eggs, cereal. No , the e had a spectacular breakfast. Mine was the alcedo eggs Benedict, a type of soft boiled egg, wrapped with Parmesan cheese and deep fried, and with shrimp and asparagus. Sounded interesting and it was interesting amazing! Even the regular eggs, sausage and bacon meal was great. We had a great soak in the hot springs, there weren't that many people at night so it was so great to just relax without loud noise. We actually enjoyed being in the hot springs during the adult hour so there weren't loud children. Everyone definitely has to try the cold pool. It was a blast . We spent a spectacular Christmas weekend away and it was well worth it.

Yelp
Beautiful location, nice facility but overpriced. I arrived today for my first ever visit. The person at the counter did NOT greet me or welcome me. I walked to the counter and he just said "hot spring"? And that was it. No, "Welcome to Halcyon. Is this your first time? Etc etc". No explanation of the pools or anything. Just said, change room is downstairs. Then I had to ask where the stairs were! So, my second complaint is that it is expensive. Half the hot pools were closed yet the price was still the same. For $30 for day use, you'd think you'd get a towel and locker, but I wasn't offered a towel and you had to pay for the freaking lockers! So although the location and view are phenomenal, my experience was a disappointment

Yelp
We stayed in a cabin and it was so nice. I was so happy that they allowed us to bring 3 pets(2 dogs, 1 cat). Some accommodations limit the number of pets you can bring which makes it hard for us when on a road trip. Service all around was so great. Food at Kingfisher restaurant was actually good! And the server we had during our stay in January 2017 was awesome. Very hardworking and personable, great at her job. First night we had The mussels and they were super good, I don't normally like mussels but the flavour infused into these ones was verrry good. I had a squash noodle dish and loved that. My fiancé had the spaghetti and meatballs and liked that a lot. Lunch we had - a portobello mushroom burger with borscht and my fiancé had a burger with a fried egg and fries. It was nice our server was accommodating with the add on egg when it wasn't on the menu. Our last night was my birthday and we got fish and chips, the salmon and a chocolate pate for dessert. Everything was really good except the fruit on the chocolate dessert. It said apricots so I was excited about the fresh fruit and it turned out to be preserved and kind of hard apricot bits..I didn't like the taste. Otherwise everything else we had was very good!

Yelp
We never got a chance to try the resort, and after our experience with their customer support and booking, we will not waste our time nor spend our money with this resort. It is a shame, as the pictures look nice. But their management and booking policies, and gift certificate policies require some serious review and the customer experience is frankly terrible,. The extended version is here: We bought a gift certificate as part of an animal rescue charity auction... you know the ones that save abandoned dogs and cats and nurse them back to health? This was back in 2020, and at that time an expiry date of Dec 2021 didn't pose a care in the world. After all, the resort was 7 hours drive away and would make for a great weekend get away.... Right, we remember the days before the world was disrupted by the GLOBAL PANDEMIC, and we had things like lockdowns, travel restrictions, travel advisories etc, etc. Well 2020 and most of 2021 were pretty much a write off, and many vacations and events were cancelled or postponed. And refunds or credits were provided for these disrupted events, trips etc. We thought that Halcyon would do the same as most other travel related companies when it came to disruptions due to the pandemic and extend expiry dates and privileges. To our surprise, this was not the case, and we were advised to use the certificate or lose it. So a trip was booked. Schedules were rearranged, and a short get away after Christmas was in the cards. And as if everyone hadn't had enough of 2021, this wildfire of a variant called Omicron swept thru the country. Infection rates skyrocketed and we were amongst the number who tested positive. Quarantine was mandated days prior to this trip. So we had to cancel, as who wants to travel while sick and potentially spreading this variant even further. I'll give credit, that the resort did extend the expiry date. By a miserly month to the end of Jan 2022.... hmmm ok. I think Mariott is protecting travel credits and membership levels until Feb 2023... We were sick until mid January and it was Jan 14th that we looked to book a stay. And we were shocked to find that there was no availability..... might have something to do with the social media promo the resort was running for a 25% discount for stays in January. Emails were sent, calls were made. Both to book using the certificate or to extend since nothing was available. Regardless, this gift certificate, purchased for $700 to support an animal rescue charity will expire unused, unredeemed and unlamented into the night. Since the resort and the management would rather hide behind the letter of the terms and conditions as opposed to generating goodwill in this unprecedented disruption of the last several years in the global pandemic. And if this is a measure of the customer service at the resort - to decline to honour a gift certificate already bought and paid for, for guests who would travel to spend more money at the facility, spa, and restaurant, then this is a resort to steer clear of. Spend your money at a resort that will do the small things for their guests and potential guests, rather than a sour experience before you even arrive. Oh did I mention that my Mariott Platinum Elite status and points are protected until Feb 2023? Customer service and doing the right thing when it comes to pandemic disruptions... I know where I will spend my travel and vacation $$.

Yelp
First time staying the night at these hot springs. The pools themselves are beautiful! Very peaceful & relaxing. Dined at the King Fisher for dinner, I had the Pappardelle Putanesca(a salmon, anchovie, caper pasta dish). I was impressed. My partner had the roasted duck dinner, it was prepared well but the portion size lacked & he left still feeling hungry. Considering the price($35) it was a bit disappointing. Service was prompt but lacked in expression, not convinced our server enjoys her job. Costumer service at the front desk was rushed & rude. Kept looking behind me to see where the line up was, could not understand the jumbled instructions! We spent the night in the Arrowhead Cottage, very clean & comfortable.

Yelp
Had the best time!! We rented the poolside cabin, which unfortunately you could not access the pool from and still had to walk around outside and through the hotel. However the staff were all extremely friendly , and the pools were perfect. It was quiet and so relaxing. I love that they had pool noodles out for use and nice music. Definitely exceeded my expectations. One complaint was the cleanliness outside the pool. The big outdoor lights were covered in collected dirt and dust and could easily be cleaned with a pressure washer. But besides that , had a lovely time, and left us dreaming to go back. Thank you !

Yelp
My husband & I were here in late March -- the week of spring break for Alberta & Oregon and were sadly quite disappointed because of all the kids & a few single dads who brought them there. All the horseplay, running around & screaming just doesn't make for a relaxing time. The cabins were cute & the beds comfy but, what we really went for was the hot springs so we ended up pretty disappointed. We spent less than 2 hours in the pools because we couldn't deal with all the screaming splashing & craziness. We wanted to relax in peace & quiet & it was nowhere to be found. I kept hoping the management would do something about it but, they never did so we just went back to our room & relaxed there. We may try it again sometime when most kids will be in school & hope to have a better result, I'm not sure. The setting overlooking the water & mountains is gorgeous and it was nice having 2 pools to choose from along with the cold plunge pool.

Yelp
My husband and I were driving back from Revelstoke to Seattle and wanted to mix up our drive (and extend our vacation a few hours more ) so we decided to stop for the 'lunch and soak' which is a new offering. Such a wonderful way to break up our drive! Being here on a Monday, we were sharing a pools with max 2 other couples, had as long as wanted to soak, and then a delicious two course meal was included, overlooking the breathtaking mountains and water. The water is super hot and there is also a moderately warm pool and a cold dunk pool. Also a towel was included which is not always the case with private hot springs. We stayed in the water about an hour and a half and had the most relaxing lovely time. Also super fun and beautiful to take the ferry over! Definitely recommend a stop for the lunch and soak, or to stay if you have a couple of nights! Our one complaint is that we would have stayed here Sunday night in the accommodations if we were able to book a one night stay- but we understand and we're happy to stop by for the day.

Yelp
We went here on our rest day for a soak. Three different temperature pools: warm, hot, cold. Beautiful scenery. Clean showers. Can't ask for more.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been to the Halcyon Hot Springs Resort a few times (2010 and 2011) and I am definitely a fan of the pools. I enjoy Halcyon more than Ainsworth Hot Springs as the view is spectacular and it seems like there are less children running around at this particular location. We went to the main level of the hot springs, but there seemed to be another pool area, which I believe was a regular swimming pool that the families would go to with their children. This was down a level. The level where the hot springs was situated on consisted of a large pool (warmer), smaller pool (hot), and a little tiny pool (freezing) that you dip in quickly, one person at a time. The view here is absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I hope to visit again during the winter when the snow is falling. Don't worry about being too self -conscious in your bathing suit, there are people of all shapes and sizes lazing about in the pool with no care in the world. The last time we visited the Halcyon Hot Springs was July 2011 and at the last minute decided to spend the night. All they had available was a trailer about a 1 minute walk from the front doors of the resort and no complaints here. The trailer was extremely clean and well kept. This was my first time staying in a trailer and actually stepping inside one, so this was all new to me. Air conditioning worked great, dishes and utensils were available in the trailer, as was a stove, shower, bathroom, bedroom, cable tv, and wifi with great internet connection. I usually stay in hotel rooms so I was amazed at this Others: -lockers for keeping valuables -showers -bathrooms -change rooms -gift store in main lobby -restaurant -trailers, cottages and places to park your RV are available -floaties in the pool available and lounge chairs strewn about the deck This would be a great place for a couple to visit for a nice weekend getaway. There were families here as well, but not sure if the kiddies would like it - the kids that we did see romping around were having fun, but most kids do when you throw a bathing suit on them and they aren't in school. Looking forward to another visit in the future. All in all, cute place hidden away and a great place for big city dwellers to go to as an escape!

Yelp
I booked a deluxe chalet for a personal retreat - just me and my dog. I couldn't have made a better choice! This place was exactly what I was looking for - high-end "rustic" log cabins with all the amenities, beautiful grounds with walking trails, dog hiking trails, easy access to the lake, not to mention the hot springs! This place is way more luxe than I was expecting. The pools are very well maintained and classy, and the employees at the main lodge were always friendly and helpful. I loved having a robe to walk to and from the pools and my cabin! There was the option of yoga classes in the morning, but I had enough room in my cabin to do yoga on my own schedule with a video, which I loved. I never ate at the Kingfisher restaurant because I had full amenities in my cabin, so I cooked healthy delicious food for myself. Things to know: - no cell service, but I had decent wifi most of the trip - the deluxe chalets are close to the main building and pools, which is awesome - Bring walking shoes to get to and from the pools. It's a several minute walk on gravel, sometimes up/down hill. - There's a small gift shop, and they sell chips, water, and candy, but not much else, so bring all the groceries you want or else you're driving 30 mins to Nakusp to restock - weekends are much busier than weekdays. So don't be surprised by lots of families in the pools on Saturdays. I wish there were more garbage cans around the property, because there was no where to throw away the doggy doo except for the garbage can right beside the front door of the resort. I loved quiet hour in the pools after 9pm. They've got soft music piping through and you can just soak and look up at the stars. Thanks for an awesome getaway!

Sandy C.

Yelp
The pools are nice but expensive to stay at the cabins..ridiculous that you pay so much and don't even get a stove or oven or anything to cook with.

Yelp
This is my 5th time being here and I absolutely love it! In my opinion it is THE BEST HOT SPRING in kootenay region. Came here in the fall and took advantage of their weekday spa package deals... Wow! I am so relaxed. They even provided $200 in restaurant funds which is almost more than enough for 2 people and you can even bring your own wine. The Spa was great, you can upgrade any package for the difference. My boyfriend didn;t want his massage so I got a hydrating facial as well as my sports massage by a certified massage therapist trained in europe. Nice! On your own or with a friends/loved ones.

Yelp
UPDATE July 30/20 My opinion on my experience After trying to reach Halcyon for 2 days, 6 phone calls and 2 emails...I received no response. So, I wrote the review you all see here. Yesterday morning I received a call from Patrick, the Marketing and Revenue Manager at Halcyon and wow was I in for a shocker. During this hour long discussion, the following was disclosed to me: * Halcyon was not equipped to handle our wedding * The kitchen was not equipped to handle serving dinner to 50 people * The banquet hall was not big enough to legally have 50 people in * The banquet hall was already booked for our wedding date to the HeliSki Company they have a longstanding contract with * The 25 cabins we had on hold, were already reserved for the HeliSki Company * The spot that Halcyon picked for our ceremony would require to much upkeep and maintenance throughout the winter * The HeliSki company was their priority and our wedding should never have been booked * New Management had no intention of having our wedding as planned * Halcyon knew this for the past 6 months and choose not to tell us * Halcyon knew that our contract could not be honored So, instead of reaching out to us and simply stating, mistakes were made and we need to correct them. They choose to be dishonest and pretty much commit fraud ! I say fraud, because they knowingly took money from us over the past 6 months knowing that the event would not happen. Then they tried to use COVID as an excuse and when they realized we were not as dumb as they thought, they finally owned up to the truth. The fact that they put so much effort into being dishonest is unbelievable. The fact that they only told the truth after convincing us we had to cancel due to COVID and refunding our money. What they have considered is the additional 10 grand that was spent on creating the Masquerade Ball we were having. * The dresses * The masks * The decorations * Specific linens to accommodate the room * Welcome bags for guests * The wedding planner * The 3 site visits for planning * The airline tickets for guests * Vendors in Revelstoke All of these items, are non refundable and cannot be used for a wedding elsewhere. This is money we are just out...because they were cowards and dishonest. For anybody going to Halcyon, I beg you to rethink this. Support other hotsprings, go elsewhere, do not encourage or support the behaviour that Halcyon has shown. We feel broken over what they have done to us. Even the thought of replanning a new wedding has us scared that this will happen again. This was our second home and we have spent years creating a relationship with Halcyon and they lied and flat out ripped us off. For now, we are going to do our best to let people know what has happened, we are putting this review everywhere and plan on speaking to other media to get the word out of just how low this company is. ORIGINAL REVIEW I am not really one for writing reviews as I feel each person has their own experience, but after what has happened this week, I feel that I need to write this review. We have been regulars at Halcyon for over 4 years now, it was the first vacation I took with my now fiance, it was where we spent our first new years eve, and it was where we got engaged. It had meaning to us and was what we considered our special place. When we got engaged we knew the only place for us to get married was at Halcyon. We spent months setting a date and making all of the arrangements with Halcyon, we locked in prices in early 2018 with a contract that outlined multiple discounts and extras due to our relationship with Halcyon...including allowing Halcyon rights to the photos to use for their own advertising. We hired vendors, wedding planner and started planning a wedding weekend with a masquerade ball. We had our dream wedding all lined up. Then new management came in with a new event coordinator and all new staff. From our very first conversation with these new managers we knew they wanted out of the deal. They had changed the whole set up of how they were doing things, and were no longer renting out the space we booked and no longer were holding weddings with more than 25 people, but because of our contract they had to honor our arrangement. They made a comment multiple times about how our contract with our dates made the Heli-Ski company they work with quite upset and never should have been allowed. THIS WAS BEFORE COVID HIT. We continued with our planning and spent close to another $6000 on visits with a wedding planner and wedding party finalizing arrangements. THEN COVID HIT. We feel that Halcyon has been dishonest and really manipulated a situation using "COVID" as an excuse. We feel this was done on purpose as a way of getting out of the contract....a way of not honoring the prices and arrangements we had in place. They were dishonest and manipulative. Halcyon you have just lost a customer

Yelp
The hot pools were nice. We were surprised to see how big the place was. They have four different pools to suit people's needs. The facilities were sufficient and easy to access. However our lodge was not close to the pools and we had to wear swimmer to walk for a long way. The room rate was reasonable and we could enjoy the pools any time. It was a good experience.

Yelp
Food at Kingfisher is awesome and the bathrooms/pools are clean

Yelp
This place was amazing. We got the couples package and both loved it. It is in an out of the way location but well worth the trip. Unlike other hot springs they have both a warm and hot pool and the hot pool was nice and hot. The restaurant food was absolutely amazing. Comparable to a high end restaurant in a major city in terms of how good the food was but the the prices were more reasonable and atmosphere a bit more casual. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The place was a bit rustic looking though with some noticeable damage to furniture and things like that. My one advice to management would be to do some renovations to make it a bit more luxurious. Also many people have insurance for massages from their employer but they need to have it done by RMT's, when I was there they didn't have an RMT. These are minor things but overall the place is amazing. Be aware of the hourly ferry times as if you miss it on the other side you are stuck there for an hour for the next one. The ferries run on time. I would love to go back some day even from Calgary it is worth the trip.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Beautiful location, located overlooking the lake. Downside could use some repair. Overall... Definitely going to go back. Different temperatured hot tubs for everyone. Including a swimming pool. Loved it.

Yelp
TERRIBLE FOOD! My friend and I checked in for one night. We were impressed by the pools and cabins -very spacious and clean - in a wonderful woodsy setting with amazing lake and mountain views. The downside is the restaurant. The food is not even mediocre and shockingly overpriced (dinner entrées in the $30/$35 range - an "appetizer" at $22!!!). We ordered lunch on arrival - the place was half empty yet it took forever to get out meals. The salmon burger had a pathetically small piece of "wild" salmon - not worth the $16 price tag. Dinner was much worse. I had a "tomato and dill" soup that was one of the worst things I have ever eaten. Scalding hot, all salt and dill - not a trace of tomato flavour. It was disgusting. My friend ordered fettucini alfredo that was like a frozen dinner someone had thrown in the microwave. The service was slow and sloppy - the woman forgot what we ordered (there only were two of us), it took forever and lots of nagging to get a glass of wine etc. Just awful. The cabins have BBQs and kitchens. Had we known we would have brought our own food and saved a ton of time and money.

Yelp
We actually booked at the owner's other accommodation, Arrow Beach Cottages, back in March for a 4 day family vacation in July. We paid a $860 deposit and our family of 8 had booked time off work and flights out. When I went to pay the remainder of the fees, we were notified that our booking was CANCELLED because of their mistake of double booking. Not only were we return customers, but we had booked first - apparently a family of 11 booked after us and was given priority. We were not offered any compensation, phone calls were not returned, communication was abysmal. My family was left scrambling to find something else late in the season, impossible! If they run one business like this, I guarantee they run their other businesses like this as well. Make sure you have a back-up if you book with them!

Yelp
My family and I stayed at the Halcyon Hot Springs Resort. We rented a loft cottage - a very small bedroom plus a loft with two full or queen beds. The cottage was small, very small for the four of us and the amenities were very basic. No complaints other than the price. For $269 plus taxes we expected more. The cottage wasn't air conditioned and we slept with the windows open. The problem was there was a group in the campground having a party and the noise was distracting/disturbing. The spa facilities were comfortable and we enjoyed our time in the pools. Dinner was delicious, our waitress was terrific but the hostess was rude and unprofessional. We wouldn't stay at this property again given the price/value.

My husband and I stayed in the Blondin Cottage for 5 nights at Halcyon in early October 2012. The accommodation was just right for the 2 of us, though 2 youngish children would have fitted in the double bunk beds just fine. The basic kitchen facilities were fine but we chose to eat in the restaurant for each meal (unless we were out sightseeing in the region). The meals in the Kingfisher restaurant were top class, beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and the servings sizes were more than enough. The service in the restaurant and at reception was excellent, all staff we spoke to were cheerful and only too happy to assist. The pools are so much fun we hopped in and out of the warm, hot and freezing cold pools and enjoyed drifting around the 'whirlpool' on the pool noodles. As we live in Australia it will be a while before we return to the resort but when were are next in BC we will definitely come back to Halcyon. We recommend everyone visits Halcyon at least once!
