অভিজ্ঞান - Avigyan

Visited the places. Every item is overrated. The chaowmin is 95 rupees and manchurian 95. You will get half of half plate than regular quantity. Manturian cost same with very low quantity. It is not pocket friendly. You pay more and get less

🍽️✨ Haldiram’s at Exide More – Kolkata’s Comfort Food Kingdom! ✨🍽️ If your stomach ever whispers “something tasty, something safe, something soul-filling” while you’re near Exide More — just follow the scent of ghee and spices straight into Haldiram’s. This outlet is an oasis for everyone—students from nearby colleges, office-goers from Chowringhee, tourists headed to Victoria Memorial, and even aunties on a shopping break. It’s clean, quick, desi, and DELICIOUS. 🥘 What you MUST try: Raj Kachori – a crunchy, spicy, saucy masterpiece that hits like edible fireworks. Chole Bhature – fluffy clouds of bhatura paired with chole that could win awards. South Indian platter – crispy dosa, piping hot sambar, and a chutney trio that sings. Sweets? Don’t even get us started. The Rasgulla and Rajbhog feel like a hug from your favorite Bengali grandma. 🧼 Cleanliness? Spotless. AC works, tables are wiped down fast, and washrooms are surprisingly well-maintained (yes, that matters!). 💁‍♂️ Service? Swift and polite. Even when there’s a rush (and trust me, there is), they manage the counter like pros at a chaotically calm food orchestra. 🥭 Pro Tip: Grab a mango lassi or badam shake before leaving—it’s dessert and hydration in one. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 – Because it’s not just a food stop, it’s a Kolkata tradition. 📍 Location: Right at the junction of convenience and cravings—Exide More. 🔖 Hashtags to spice it up online: #HaldiramsExideMore #KolkataEats #CholeBhatureGoals #ChatpataAdda #SweetSideOfLife #SnackStopRoyalty #DesiFoodDoneRight

One of the most famous restaurants in Kolkata which has very good quality Indian, Chinese and Bengali cuisine with wide range of sweet dishes and desserts. The main interesting part is the price is much lower than any others restaurants that I had meals in the city. I highly recommend this restaurant. The restaurant is very busy full of locals specially in the evening you couldn’t find free tables and chairs.

Best option for vegetarians. Very much pocket friendly with variety of traditional Indian/Bengali food items. N. B: Non-Veg people should stay away from here 😄

Haldiram's offers the signature taste you'd expect, with no noticeable difference from its other outlets. It boasts a wide variety of vegetarian options, catering to diverse preferences. The seating arrangement is spacious, providing ample room for diners, and the view of the outside road adds a nice touch to the ambiance. However, the service was slower than expected, even though there wasn’t much of a crowd. The cashier could have been more polite, as the situation didn’t seem demanding enough to justify any rudeness. Overall, while the food lives up to the Haldiram's standard, better service and a friendlier attitude from the staff could enhance the dining experience.

Journey of Haldiram from Bikaner to Kolkata is an exciting story. The iconic bhujiya business was started in around 1918. But Ganga Bishan Agarwal was the pioneer figure behind Haldiram's journey as Sweet, snacks Shop in Bikaner, Rajasthan since 1937. The manufacturing plant was set up in Kolkata on around 1950. Gradually Haldiram group has been expanded over various states. This popular restaurant of Kolkata is a hot favorite for food lovers. The overcrowded place offers plenty of delicious dishes, multiple choices of purely vegetarian, Chinese dishes. You will get the fantastic essence of pure ghee for most of the items. Cleanliness, nice behavior of staffs, well accessible location are the advantages of this place. Vegan public should try for Raj Kachori, Corn Cutlet, Paneer Pakoda, Dhokla, Dosa for quality experience. Price is quite high, in terms of quantity & quality. But as a whole, it's a good experience to spent quality time with delicious foods with your dear & near ones.

Once upon a time it used to serve good food. I tried Butter Masala Dosa which I didn’t like. No butter. Blant tasteless Masala inside. The sambar and chutney has also no flavour. You will get far better food outside on the street. And also I tried Dahi Bada. The bada seems not at all fresh and tasteless. The worst Dahi Bada I tried. Its a waste of money.
