Definitely a great option for breakfast! Good location and has free parking next door. We visited around 12p on a Saturday and there was no wait. The food came out at an appropriate time. It was a little bit on the pricier side though- not necessarily a bad thing. The portions were very large! The smoothies were AMAZING!! Only thing I didn’t like were the potatoes- they were average to me, not seasoned the best but they did taste great with the sauce from the Steak Breakfast Plate. I would visit again!!

As a visitor from the great state of Hawaii, I was not expecting to see Hawaii prices on my precious Okinawan island. Then when I walked in to Hale Noa Cafe and saw eggs Benedict for 2,000¥, I knew I in for trouble. The potatoes and eggs lack depth of flavor. The smoothie and ginger shot were decent. But overall not a great place. Clearly marketed for ignorant white Americans. Also they do NOT offer a kama’aina discount lmao

Google
Hale Noa is probably my most favorite place on the island for Hawaiian themed breakfast. I have enjoyed everything that has been served to me. The service is very polite of attentive, The food is prepare fresh , it's all delicious, but does take time to prepare. I would recommend anyone here if you like fresh good food

Google
I’ll probably try this place again but not order what I did today. My “latte” was actually a dry cappuccino (sorry, but I managed a coffee shop and I know). My eggs Benedict with avocado and lomi lomi salmon was well executed, I’m sure; however, I didn’t anticipate that the avocado would make the entire dish cold. Cold eggs just aren’t my thing. Nice staff and very attentive service. Easy parking.

Great place. The eggs Benedict were amazing. Portions are huge . The staff is super kind and they have an LGBTQ flag hanging up which makes me SO happy 😁

Google
Hale Noa Cafe 🚘 Google maps gets you there, small parking lot next to the building it shares with a bakery 🪑 indoor and outdoor seating available 💴 take yen or card, if using card ¥100 = $1 so depending on current exchange rate, using yen is best 👶 kids menu

Google
Really delicious brunch food. I got the omelette and my husband got the eggs Benedict. They do get busy, but we happened to go at the perfect time when we were able to be seated outside. Their mimosas are divine. The bacon is nice and thiccc

Google
Have eaten here 4 of the 5 days we have been in Okinawa. Great food and big portions. Great value. Will definitely come back on my next trip on April.

Yelp
The food is great, I love their eggs Benedict. They've gone a little pricey but I always come back!

Yelp
Cute setting and decorations. Best steak so far on the island, but we expected it to be warmer. Average pancakes. The Benedict was interesting. I believe that only one had the bacon and tomato while the other had the avocado and salmon. I did not understand that was going to be the case when I ordered it. The bacon side tasted better. I thought the plate was going to come with potatoes but I received a salad that could have used a little more dressing, but was pleasant otherwise. On the pricier end.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! I love coming here for brunch with friends! Popular menu items include açaí bowls, eggs benedict, french toast, and poke bowls. Service is understandably slower during their peak hours, but the staff is always friendly and inviting. Highly recommended for island vibes and good breakfast!

Yelp
Very small location with very little seating. Stopped by on an early morning to grab some breakfast. Looked up some breakfast spots around the area and this one peaked my interest. Although not many options to choose from, the food is very delicious. Price is a bit higher than most local shops on the island, but it is more of a Hawaiian style type breakfast joint. As stated above, the location is quite small. Only a few tables for seating inside and 3-4 tables outside. With the heat and humidity at the moment eating outside is not the best option, which we had to do since it was fairly busy and we had waited some time for our table. Aside from the seating dilemma I do recommend to stop by and get yourself some delicious Japanese style Hawaiian breakfast.

Yelp
Very friendly and welcoming spot. Really reminds me of home vibes in Kahala and Kaimuki in Hawaii. Food was so ono-licious that I was ready for a Kanak attack. It does fill up quick so come early! Parking can be a pain but if as long as you beat the crowd, you'll be fine parking on the side of the building next to Maybe Bakery. They do accept card for those wondering.

Yelp
Food, service and overall vibe was great! Coffee was delicious too. Definitely coming here again!

Yelp
Three things you need to know: 1) Parking and Seating is limited so plan ahead. 2) The French toast is great, the pancakes are not. 3) You should try the Loco Boy Breakfast once (with country potatoes for the side). Hale Noa Cafe is a great little island place in Chatan, Okinawa with excellent Hawaiian-style food. It has a lot of personality and a pleasant evironment. Best of all, the staff is really sincere and the food is incredible. You can't go wrong with any of the smoothies (they are blended fresh upon ordering), and the bacon is some of the thickest you'll ever order. I've enjoyed trying a slew of meals when I go, but I'm most satisfied when I get the Loco Boy Breakfast with the Blueagic smoothie. For a well-rounded breakfast the price is high, and this is the primary reason preventing me from going more. The parking can also be challenging, and the crowd is not always worth the wait. I would like to give this 5 stars, but the pankces are unacceptable. For being a breakfast place, and a restaurant in a geographic area where puffy pancakes are popular, it's extremely unsettling to bite into a cheap, IHOP-style pancake.

Yelp
Small and comfy hole in the wall, but let me tell you actually being from Hawaii this place has some amazing food. The service was amazing and I will highly recommend this to anyone in Okinawa.

Yelp
I order the steak, eggs and deep fried potatoes. I ask for the French toast for the extra ¥250. The service was great until the food came out, I only got the steak, the eggs and the French toast, I get if the server miss understood what I asked for but whenever I called her and I ask why I didn't get the potatoes she said it's because you order the French toast and I told her no I ask for the regular plate (you can look at the menu and it says steak, eggs and potatoes for ¥2500 if you want rice, pancakes, French toast it's extra and it would be ¥250) so we were discussing this for a couple minutes and I told her I still want the potatoes and I ask her is it gonna be extra charge and she said yes. So I tried to explain to her why I shouldn't be charge if it was a mistake on her end and it was miscommunication, I decided to still order the potatoes and deal with that when I had to pay. When I went to the cashier to pay they were charging me ¥250 for the French toast and ¥670 for the potatoes. I was telling the cashier that she should take out the charge of the potatoes since it comes with the actual dish that I order and she was trying to explain but, it didn't make sense at all! Why in the world would you have a dish priced at ¥2500 (comes with steak, eggs and potatoes) and then charge me ¥670 for your mistake of forgetting to put potatoes, after discussing for a couple minutes with the cashier I told her you shouldn't be charging for both things the potatoes and the French toast and she then decided of course to delete the French toast (¥250) instead of the potatoes (¥670). My boyfriend then said it's fine and paid and decided to leave. But it is NOT FINE! If you have a dish on the menu at certain price why do I have to pay extra when it already comes with the dish and it's was a mistake from the server or miscommunication call it what you want. I am a frequent customer but I don't know if I would ever go back, just for the simple fact that the customer service is not it. To leave things clear it's not about the money, but the customer service, I worked in the industry for many years before and I would always try to help the clients and do things fair.

Yelp
Whoa! I'm blown away over the portion sizes here. My husband and I came here for breakfast and we left more than satisfied. This is a cute little establishment with ample parking for its occupant capacity. It was a little busy when we arrived 15 mins after it's opening on a Tuesday but we lucked out and got the last small table. The staff waits eagerly to take your order and there are plenty of your traditional American breakfast items with a Japanese spin. We ordered the blueberry cream cheese French toast, macadamia nut pancakes, bacon, and country potatoes. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs. His French toast came with two slices and my two pancakes came in odd shapes and covering almost the entire plate. This would've been enough for both of us but we HAD to have the sides thinking we'd still be hungry. Big mistake. Everything was delicious!! Would definitely like to go again.

Yelp
Looking for great Hawaiian breakfast? French toast? Pancakes? Poke bowls? Kona coffee? Check, check, check, check and check. This place is possibly the best breakfast I've had in the Kadena area, and it never disappoints. Don't expect to be in and out on a weekend, this place is no secret! So far, everything has been phenomenal from the Creme Brulee Blueberry french toast, to the PB banana bacon french toast and the coconut coffee...but my favorite dish is the Eggs Benedict with a wagyu beef Patty and slice of bacon on top (the "Big Wave"). The flavors were out of this world, and the Wagyu Patty was a welcome addition that I had never tried. Only downside is having to decide what to order when everything is incredible, but you can easily remedy this by ordering multiple dishes (Yolo? Do people still say that? I don't think so). Either way, 100% send on this place.

Yelp
A beautiful laid back vibe highlights the amazing food and coffee. The North shore breakfast was delicious and colorful. The potatoes were rosemary. The dish made a delightful mix once I cut it up and The egg yolks were running into the pork. Everything was fresh. The coconut coffee had real coconut in it, and was smooth and mellow without being overbearing with coconut flavor. The side of bacon was slightly crisp and very meaty. I feel like this breakfast made my day.

Yelp
I have a hard time up-voting any Eggs Benedict that uses a crappy small bread slice instead of a proper English muffin. Not only is it an excuse for them to give a smaller portion, there's less of a base and texture for the other ingredients to lean on. This is particularly noticeable when you have a strong meat, like bacon or pulled pork, which are both options here. Yeah, the flavor is not there. The lettuce in the salad was kind of wilted. Then, I always appreciate more veggies, but the amount of purple cabbage was a bit overpowering. Not a great deal for 1200 yen. It's.....not that bad, but I'm not calling it good either.

Yelp
Limited parking- often very crowded but I finally got here early enough to try it out. Staff is friendly. Seating is about five two seater tops and some can be grouped together for larger parties. Food options are mainly breakfast themed with a couple savory dishes for lunch but on the pricey side (¥700-1600). They include a cup of coffee but cream and sugar is self serve as well as water. Watch it for the water cups, some of them have lipstick that doesn't come out with the dishwasher. I tried the Hale Noa special- a French toast slice with a creme brûlée topping with berries. It was tasty but not a filling meal. Coffee is a Hawaiian kona, Lion brand which has a nice smooth flavor.

Yelp
Cute little spot with yummy food! I am so happy to have come across this restaurant, because the food is good and the portions are not bad! I ordered the eggs benedict with kahlua pork, and I loved it! It was served with salad, and a slice of pineapple. It was so good, the pork was seasoned perfectly, and it was such a good pair for the eggs! And the pineapple was sweet ! -- Of course I also ordered their Famous french toast , and I got the Blueberry Cream cheese, and it was to die for! It was amazing, the flavors were the perfect combination, not too sweet, and not bland, it was really perfect! The service is of course great! The waitress was friendly , and quick. - 6 tables inside, 1 table outside and 2 benches over looking the road. - I think the only down part is, it is warm inside, specially on a hot day, it's quite uncomfortable. They have parking spots numbered 1-8, the other spots are for the bakery next door. I will definitely be coming back for more!!! Their french toast is just so hard to resist.

Yelp
Great cafe in Chatan. My son had the kids breakfast while I went for the macadamia nut pancakes. I think the latter is their signature dish. The place is small of course, but they do have plenty of parking in a lot adjacent to the cafe. The staff was super friendly and didn't mind me filming for my you tube channel. My life in Okinawa. There's a large water supply infused with fruit that's free. While they had lunch options I was there for those pancakes. So let's go: The Good 1. Parking 2 the food was great, served warm and it actually came out quickly. 3 service was outstanding 4 place was spotless The Bad: 1 since it's near AV it's a bit pricier for what you get. My meal, kids meal and a mango juice was about 2500 yen. But it's the area I assume That's the only fault if you want to call it that. Not an everyday breakfast place but certainly a worthwhile treat every now and then.

Yelp
4 stars for the food and customer service. Tuesday morning. Had the dirty omelette with kalua pork, bacon, spinach and mushrooms. Supah ono! (Pidgin English for really delicious!) Upgraded to French toast with my omelette, which was also really good. Ordered some macadamia nut pancakes on the side. The Mac nut sauce was so good that I kept eating even when I was so full. Tips: there is a small parking lot next to the bakery that's right next door to hale noa. If you can't find parking there, there should be free street parking available close by as well. Tip 2: great for groups, but expect a wait during prime hours, especially on Sundays. Overall: Definitely coming back here if I'm ever craving a full service breakfast with hawaiian style food \m/

Yelp
Our previous attempt of eating brunch here left us disappointed as most of the menu items weren't available because they ran out of ingredients. Not necessarily a bad problem for a place with a packed house constantly cooking fresh food, but still, it didn't help my hangriness...yes, new word. But onto this experience. We arrived on a Saturday around 0945 and were pleased to see a few empty tables. We were immediately greeted with smiling faces, seated and given menus. As we perused the menus then ordered our food, the tables around us filled up quickly. We were served our drinks within about 10 minutes and conversation + nice background music filled the next 15 minutes while we waited. I ordered the dirty omelette with the pancakes and hubs the loco moco and we were NOT disappointed! Quite satisfied actually. The eggs were over or under cooked and the veggies were soggy like most places do. The meat in the loco moco was a nice serving size and also thick. Not over cooked or dry at all. We split the pancakes (there was no way I was finishing both) and gave each other a look once we tasted the syrup. Not sure what kind it is and sort of upset that I forgot to ask, but it.is.amazing. A little goes a long way as I don't like overly sweet things. My only other regret is that I didn't order a mimosa, but I'll be sure to next time.

Yelp
Wasn't sure how I'd feel about this place or any Hawaiian restaurants that are not in Hawaii or Hawaiian owned. I'm always comparing Hawaiian spots to what I'm use to because I grew up in Hawaii, i know how things are supposed to taste. But...... to my surprise it was a cool little place. I of course ordered the beef loco moco. It was really good. I could tell the difference with the Japanese beef patty, it was delicious. The only thing I would suggest they add or I should have added was grilled onions since that is usually something it comes with. Another thing I wish was that you had an option for fried rice or white rice. All in all I left happy and satisfied. My husband ordered the traditional breakfast, eggs, bacon and French toast. He really liked the bacon, it was thick and of course once again we could tell it was Japanese style bacon, very delicious. I had a bite of his French toast and it was very sweet and tasty. Next time I'll have to order it for myself. I will be back again for sure!

Yelp
Super yummy breakfast foods. One of the only places open for actual breakfast. You'll notice that most places don't open until 1130 for breakfast and coffee. I will say this place is a little pricy. But if for sure his the spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious place for brunch. It's Hawaiian so they offer Poke bowls as well. The prices are reasonable and it's nice a quiet there too. Great place to study or simply relax. They also have an outdoor nook area for dining. My eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly! French toast was the BOMB!! So light and fluffy, I didn't even need syrup!! And the coffee was full bodied with a strong coconut flavor. So good. Food is fresh and hot!! Service was great too! I highly recommend.

Yelp
LOVE this cafe!!!! My family and I went for Saturday brunch. We were seated immediately inside and ordered our food within a few minutes. My boys shared the pancake breakfast, I ordered the pulled pork omelette, and my husband ordered the sausage/bacon platter. My boys loved their food! My omelette was delicious!!!! The pork was so tender and very flavorful. My husband was very pleased with his eggs and meat as well. The board has their top recommendations so next time I will try something different.

Yelp
You miss the Aloha, brah? Well come on over to Hale Noa Cafe! A Hawaiian we met on island recommended us to come here after we briefly reminisced about Honolulu... dude even broke out in pigeon when he was telling us about these ono grindz. Cute cafe next to a bakery. They have a parking lot, but only the spots with single digits are for the commercial visitors. The ones that are 200-300 are for the residents. We got a table for 2 on a Sunday right at 12 pm. There were already others enjoying their coffee and breakfast. Menu is breakfast, pancakes, omelettes and Hawaiian favorites. My husband made up his mind before even stepping in the door - Kaluha Pork, cabbage and egg over rice - there's just nothing to think about. I, on the other hand, wanted some brunch so went with the Cornflake French Toast. Both items come with a drink - coffee or iced tea. It took awhile for the food to come out but I think it is because it is made by the chef with extra aloha. Food came out together and sometimes by the chef. My husband finished his dish without a word. My French Toast had mascarpone cheese stuffed in the middle and was on top of drizzled syrup with a dollop of whip cream on the edge. This didn't make the bread soggy and didn't overpower with sweetness. I kind of wished it had a hint of cinnamon or something, but it was still tasty. We bought a small cup of frozen kaluha pork to go to enjoy a home. Friendly service, super cute atmosphere, chill, perfect for a weekend brunch. Next time, I'll try the Garlic Shrimp plate or a smoothie.
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast place, but you might have to wait for a table. They also have this amazing Hawaiian Poke bowl-but sadly we're already sold out before 10am. The Creme Brûlée French toast is delicious, I would recommend adding on some sides if you're hungry.
google avatar

Claudia G.

Yelp
Cute little place. Love their outdoor area too. Had pancakes and my friend had poke bowl there and we both had a smoothie (Energy and Chai Latte Smoothie). Very friendly service. Chai Latte was really good first time I went there but 2nd time it was so so - my guess is they used bananas that were not fully ripe yet and unfortunately that caused the smoothie to lack it's perfect sweetness and have a slightly bitter green banana taste. :(. Still gonna go back though :)
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
My husband loves this place. Food is great and the setup is cute and cozy. They have toys for kids to play with. They also except card
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered the blueberry French toast and it was so yummy! The filling was blueberry of course and it was so good. It was a good portion. Guava juice delicious as well! I wanted to try eggs benedict but they were out of it as I went on a late Sunday. Next time!

Yelp
Hale Noa is the cutest little Hawaiian brunch spot on Okinawa! We stopped by Saturday morning for brunch at around 10:30am, the wait was approx 20-30 mins for a party of 3. We ordered Macadamia nut pancakes for the table and each got our own entrees. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes were wonderful, 3 fluffy pancakes topped with deliciously sweet macadamia nut sauce. I ordered the Homemade Kalua Pork Loco Moco which was served over cabbage, rice, and topped off with some over-easy eggs - the Kalua Pork was very tender and the dish was tied together perfectly. Service was very welcoming, ambiance was very cute and quaint, and the food was delicious and worth the wait! I would recommend brunch here on the weekends, it's the perfect way to start off your day.
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best brunch places on island and everyone that works there is so sweet! Their French toast was so good I forgot to take a picture!!
google avatar

Willie W.

Yelp
Great little place with wonderful food and very pleasant staff. Parking is available to the left. Great location close to the beach. Unfortunately, no beach view.
google avatar

Earl G.

Yelp
Cozy place with 80's- 90's music, that you can't help to tap your feet or rock to. The food is great, beware though, it's large portions. I made the mistake and ordered 3 eggs and half of my plate was eggs, lol. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast spot.
google avatar

Vonny K.

Yelp
Kalua pork eggs Benedict was very tasty the salmon Benedict could use a lot more zest or at least smoke flavor...........the music selection did not match the decor
google avatar

Tom J.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Had omelette with kahlua pork and pancake. Also had hale Noah fen he toast. Both were awesome! Coconut smoothie and coconut coffee were excellent as well. Clean place, friendly staff, and pretty empty at 8 am on a weekday. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
Worth the wait (if there is one)! My kids split the stuffed strawberry French toast and basically licked their plates clean. The pork eggs Benedict was one of the best I've ever had, granted that was the first time I've ever had pork on them. We also got the walnut pancakes. I'm more of a savory breakfast food person but these were fantastic, not too sweet at all. Not topped with syrup but something creamy. Topped it off with a delightful Tropical sunrise smoothie.

Adiba H.

Yelp
One of my fav places to brunch in Okinawa! Food is great and the amount is generous.

Joe M.

Yelp
Awesome place, some of the best breakfast items you'll find around here. Love the atmosphere and overall mood of the place. Staff seemed friendly. The coffee is also very good would recommend. Only downside is it is a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Lucas L.

Yelp
The wait was a bit long, but the food was decent. It was, however, cold upon arrival. The selection was nice though so I might be convinced to try it again when they're not as busy.

Casey C.

Yelp
Great food! I had the eggs Benedict with Kalua pork and bacon...highly recommend. The wife had the Hale Noa French toast which was great (very sweet). The place was quite and great atmosphere, good for breakfast date. The menu is limited but if the rest of it tastes like what we had, it will all be a win.

Samantha H.

Yelp
Best American-style breakfast I've had in Oki! The omelette, French toast and eggs Benedict are all tasty. It gets busy, so go early!

Fernando P.

Yelp
The menu selection is small but the food and coffee are good. The place also opens early for breakfast at 7 am
