Such a great bakery! I ordered cake pops for my son’s birthday and they were even better than I expected. Nina and Christina are so communicative and willing to help make sure you get want you need/want, from flavors to costs. Not to mention they tested sooooo yummy! Highly recommend!

Nina & Christina did an incredible job on our wedding cake and dessert table. We wanted a silhouette story telling wedding and they captured it perfectly. The cake turned out beautifully! We also ordered other desserts and everything was delicious. Nina & Christina were super easy to work with. I highly recommend them for wedding cakes and other yummy desserts ❤️

We had such an amazing experience working with Half Baked for our wedding cake. We were losing hope searching for bakeries that offered delicious vegan flavors and felt defeated. My mom had mentioned Half Baked so we got a tasting box and ended up loving a few flavors. We ordered another box with our final choices and ended up settling on the vegan carrot cake. SO delicious! Never would we have thought that carrot cake would be our choice but this flavor is out of this world. Their customer service was amazing and they made everything easy and hassle free. When I came in for the second cake tasting box, Nina remembered me immediately. You can tell this is a family business and that they put time and dedication into their customers. The wedding planning process can be overwhelming and to have found a place that checked every box and with whom we felt confident in was a shining light in the dark! Plus our cake turned out absolutely beautiful. We wanted something simple and classic that would highlight my parents wedding cake topper from 40 years ago. It turned out exactly how we wanted! The cakes taste like untoasted wheat bread or a muffin that tastes like cardboard. The frosting had a chemical artificial taste to it. The staff was okay. I would have liked to have been brought a menu of photo examples for cakes. I would not recommend getting a wedding cake from here and I would recommend tasting before buying.

I had a friends birthday coming up and thought this would be the perfect time to try ordering some gluten free cupcakes for her. It's a bit of a hunt for an exclusive place that specializes only in gluten free baked goods in the valley area. Was feeling pretty excited as I did see on the website they only use non-gmo ingredients and that's a good base. So they also offered a lot of different flavor combinations for the cupcakes. The staff at Half Baked are nice and they were happy to answer all my questions about the gluten free products. I remembered my husband had picked up some of the their gluten free cookies that we shared with the same friends when we had them over for a weekend lunch and to be honest, I couldn't taste any difference in the gluten free choc chip cookies and regular cookies. Their cookies were delicious and as a test run we thought there was no issues with the gluten free cookies so this was the perfect place to try the gluten free cupcakes for my friends birthday. I ordered a mix of different flavored cupcakes and everyone seemed to enjoy them for dessert. In fact, when I shared with a few people at the birthday dinner they were gluten free cupcakes everyone was impressed as they were fluffy in texture and not like some they had tasted before that were dense. I think we've all had those kind of gluten free cupcakes. These cupcakes were rich in flavor and not too heavy, but of course sweet as all cupcakes are. The next day I got a call from my friends husband that the cupcakes must have been gluten and not gluten free as she had a lot of stomach distress during the night and couldn't sleep. I was beside my self as I thought they would be alright as we had done a test run with the gluten free chocolate chip cookies before. Was it possible the bakery made a mistake and gave us gluten cupcakes instead? Maybe we will never know. Mistakes can happen it's understandable. It's just disappointing when it's a friends birthday. So would I go back to Half Baked, absolutely. It was last year when this happened and this year I baked the gluten free cupcakes instead of buying them and was very careful with all the ingredients. It all went well the next few days after her birthday so I was able to create gluten free cupcakes and keep it at a high quality in taste and flavor she mentioned. They do bake regular non gluten free pastries and other baked goods we've tried and all have been delicious. But thought it might be helpful to others to share our experience with the gluten free side of things. We don't know 100% if there was the cupcakes and it's hard to know.....

First of all, Half Baked has the best cakes and cupcakes in all of Los Angeles, and it’s run by the kindest women. If we lived closer, we would go every day. They did an excellent job with our wedding cake. We did two tiers, with the one being chocolate cake and fresh strawberry+strawberry cream filling, and the other tier a vanilla cake with the same filling. What Half Baked excels at in my opinion is nailing a perfect balance. The cake was perfectly moist and also had a very nice fluffiness. The strawberry cream filling is something I can eat by the spoonful. It was perfectly balanced in that it wasn’t too sweet the way other creams/icings are. It was just perfect. So perfect that I asked them to make the same chocolate strawberry cake for my wife’s birthday a few months later. I asked for the rosette design in blush pink and they nailed it. Half Baked knows what they’re doing, and I just want to have parties all the time so they can keep making cakes for us. It feels good to know we have a dessert bakery for all the special memories for the rest of our lives!

This bakery offers vegan options that are really, super delicious! That’s usually hard to find for a “healthier” option. I bought a diy cake with 2x 6 inch rounds and frosting, no sprinkles, for $39.50. It’s in the pricier side but worth it! There is a nice seating area inside and it was an easy process to place an order on the website.

A hobbit skunk hole cake! Where to begin with this cake. We gasped in delight when we saw it. It was the perfect design matching my husband's hobbit hole ring and my skunk and acorn ring with something funny at the top (Sir Richard Taylor, who we adoringly quote daily). It was almost a shame to ruin this artistry by cutting into it but man, was it delicious! The smaller cake layer was gluten free/dairy free lemon raspberry flavored and everyone who tried both layers liked the gluten free one best. Even my husband liked my cake so much that he said we should have just made the full cake the gluten free flavor. Besides me there were several people with gluten intolerance at our party and no one was accidentally poisoned. I was also really impressed with their selection of gf/v flavors at the cake tasting. I will definitely be ordering more gf/v desserts from Half Baked in the future. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful masterpiece for us!

The ladies at Half Baked Co are wonderful! They perfectly executed the birthday cake to match our theme and reference photo, and it was so delicious. Cupcakes themselves were okay, but I specifically choose Half-Baked because of their vegan and dairy free options, since my partner has a severe dairy allergy and it was for his birthday. The cupcakes were marked vegan when we picked them up - not sure if there was a cross contamination issue or the "Happy Birthday Marker" had dairy. If vegan is a dietary preference for, not because of allergies, I'd recommend but if you have severe allergic reaction might be better to find a different spot.

Super cute little bakery for custom cakes! I heard about this place from a friend and was so excited to try. Overall experience: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5, adorable store that displays cupcakes and cakes. The shop was able to take inspo pics and bring the cake to life for a nursing retirement party and they blew it out of the park! From the other displayed cakes and decor, I'd 100% trust them with a special, custom cake for your celebration. Taste: 4/5. We got the marble cake and the frosting was too sweet. The cake itself tasted yummy, not dry, but I think the sweetness that the frosting brought was overpowered.

If you want the most delicious and beautiful work of art you can get, Half Baked is the place to go! I don't usually do cakes for my birthday's but I had to for 25 especially since I had this custom design in mind. So, I emailed them with my custom request and Christina & Nina executed the vision perfectly! Also to mention they were soooo nice and easy to communicate with and had fast responses. They really listened to what I wanted. If you check out their website you can see all their flavors, but if you're torn like I was I highly suggest going in and getting a couple of cupcakes to narrow down your choices. I decided on the marble and it was an absolute favorite!!! It was SO good! Thank you Christina & Nina again for a wonderful birthday treat! Went here for the first time for my 21st birthday cake and was stunned at the welcoming beautiful ambiance. I was shocked to see all the flavors they offered. I ordered my cake smoothly and went back to pick it up and got to know the sisters who run the place. They are the sweetest people and love family businesses. We got to try 6 cupcake flavors and they were so moist and flavorful, I could have eaten all of them.

GO! GO! GO!! the cake was moist and delicious! The frosting-out of this world!! Tons of vegan options!!! They decorate the cupcake right in front of you! The service was excellent and the dessert was HEAVEN! Run, don't walk!!

I can't speak more highly of Half Baked Co! As a vegan, I'm always delighted when I find places that offer options that cater to my dietary needs, and Half Baked exceeded all of my expectations. They crafted my completely vegan, beautiful, delicious wedding cake five years ago, which was the star of our reception. I reached out to them earlier this week to see if they could make some cupcakes for my five year wedding anniversary that match the colors and vibes of my original wedding cake, and they did not disappoint. Both experiences were nothing short of exceptional. The staff at Half Baked Co truly go above and beyond. My original wedding cake was vegan red velvet on one tier, and vegan marble on the second tier. When I reached out to inquire about my cupcake order (which was quite short notice - entirely my fault) I asked for 6x red velvet. I didn't want to sound overly fussy by asking if they could do red velvet and marble, especially since I was ordering on such short notice, but their staff absolutely delighted me by ASKING if I wanted red velvet AND marble! They had looked up my past wedding cake order to ensure it was as close as possible to the original, and I honestly teared up at the gesture. I picked up the cupcakes today and they're BEAUTIFUL and instantly recognizable as a reference to our original cake! They're my go-to place for my most special occasions, and I hope to continue to be a happy customer for many wedding anniversaries to come :)

I ordered a wedding cake for my nephew and his bride. I had a wonderful experience coordinating everything with Christina, she was always available either in person or email to answer any question I had. We were able to try different cupcakes in advance makeing it easy to choose our favorite flavor. Not only was the wedding cake beautiful and exactly what we ordered, but it was delicious too. Needless to say the bride and groom were extremely happy with it. I will definitely buy a cake from here in the future!

My husband and I tried many cake tastings before choosing our bakery for our wedding cake. Half Baked was a no brainer. Their tasting was not only the best experience we had but the most delicious one we had. We loved it so much that I chose Half Baked for my bridal shower desserts as well. Everyone raved about the cake and I loved that they were so accommodating in making a dummy cake for cake cutting so we could do sheet cakes in different flavors on the side. No one even knew it was a dummy cake. Phenomenal work.

Truly amazing! We contacted Nina and Christina as new customers with a theme we thought was impossible to replicate for our 7 year old birthday girl. Christina and Nina took it head on with kindness and professionalism. We sent them what we wanted and what we were looking for all via email and it was quick and easy. We ordered custom themed "No David" by David Shannon cupcakes and birthday cake and it came out incredible! (Please ignore the not so perfect picture of the cupcakes since we ate most of them before taking the photo ). We ordered the Death By Chocolate, Strawberry Crème, and Cookies and Cream and they were delicious! Everything to the frosting to the actual sponge of the cake! So yummy and best of all our daughter and guests were so incredibly impressed and delighted. We received many "yums" and compliments and we wouldn't had a perfect birthday event if it wasn't for the talented folks at Half Baked Co. We recently started getting all of our custom cakes from here once new management took over. They've been consistent every time! What I love about this place is that they take the taste of the cakes just as seriously as the decor. After every event, I always have a couple people ask me where I got the cake from! I'm terms of flavors - their marble or classic white with berries is always a hit! I also cannot say enough great things about the owners, Christina and Nina. They listen and deliver on every single detail. They're SO genuine that they even get excited if they make a cake based on a theme they haven't done before (check out the intricate bonsai tree for my husband's Japanese themed birthday party). Half Baked a true gem in Burbank!

I used to go to a different bakery close to home for all my cake and cupcake orders. But their customer service has gone downhill so I decided to try a new place and now Half Baked is my go-to! Service when ordering was great and when I sent my husband to pick up he also commented on the service. The cupcakes are delicious and we can't wait to try the other flavors and desserts on the menu!

Came in to see if they could create a cake and some cupcakes for a Baby in Bloom themed baby shower. Mommy to be favorite flavor is red velvet. It was easy to explain what I wanted and let me tell you- the execution of what I wanted was created beautifully. Not only was the cake gorgeous , it was delicious. I am not a red velvet fan by any means but this was flavorful and moist. Mommy to be was so happy and this has become her new favorite red velvet cake. The strawberry, vanilla and lemon blueberry cupcakes were tasty as well. You definitely get what you pay for and I will be coming back for all my special event desserts. What a Burbank gem! We love Half Baked because their cupcakes are hands down the tastiest. They are all beautiful, with both traditional flavors like old fashioned chocolate, vanilla with sprinkles, and fun creative flavors as well! Our favorite is the cookies and cream, but honestly they are all delicious. On top of having the best cupcakes and cakes, they are friendly and down to earth. Christina is the owner, and you can tell that this family owned business is her passion. I love that we have found a place for delicious desserts and can support a local woman-owned business! Fantastic experience with this bakery! I needed a last minute birthday cake with an image screened on top. Not only were they able to turn it around for me quickly, but it looked FANTASTIC and tasted DELICIOUS. Seriously, everyone raved how yummy this cake was. Highly recommend!

You did it again! This is the third cake I've ordered from Half Baked Co and they never disappoint. I was the event planner for my friend's gender reveal party and they loved their cake. They use dye to reveal the gender and it was perfect.

We had the pleasure of working with Nina and Christina who were everything you could ask for from a vendor! They were both so responsive and helpful to any question we sent them over email, they set up an AMAZING tasting where we got to try a ton of different cupcakes with our family (which we had a heated debate on which three we liked best because they were all PERFECT), and they truly delivered on the day of our wedding! All of our guests could not stop talking about how tasty the cupcakes were and we think the overall favorite was the honey lavender cupcake, but the others were CLOSE! The best part about Half Baked Company is that you can go to their store anytime and get any baked goods you want for any occasion and while we counted down the days to our wedding, we stopped in once or twice to get a few "warm up" cupcakes! Now... quit reading this review and reach out to them because they are the absolute best and really made our wedding day perfect! :D

I needed a last minute cake so I ended up calling Half Baked day of and they came through for me big time! I called in the morning and the cake was ready by 3pm. I was really impressed with their willingness to work with me so last minute, you can tell their customer service is top notch! The design of the cake was great and everyone seemed really happy with the flavors as well. I look forward to using their service for my future events!

We had our wedding cake made from Half Baked, and not only was it delicious it was made exactly how I imagined everything I asked for was done! I found them because Sprinkles Cupcakes was no longer at their location. First off they have a great selection of cupcakes in regular and vegan versions. The cupcakes are the perfect size for snacking and taste great. They also had a small kids' table that my three daughters were able to sit at and enjoy their cupcakes. It's very kid-friendly. I will be going back soon!

I luckily found Half Baked Co while searching for a bakery for my baby shower. Nina and Christina absolutely killed it! Not only were they an absolute pleasure to work with but the treats turned out even better than the inspo photos I had send them. Everything was delicious and so dreamy. Highly recommend!

The cupcakes are fine. But we ordered the cake pops and they tasted like plastic. Five different people found them inedible. They tasted almost chemically. I don't know what was going on with them but had to toss them. Was very confused because their cupcakes are fine, so thought the cake pops would be okay as well. Would really recommend taking cake pops off the menu or revisiting this recipe. Or maybe we just got a bad batch! Either way, these were just baffling bad. Otherwise, their cupcakes are at least okay

I recently ordered a small, simplistic gender reveal cake and it turned out EXACTLY how I was imagining. Although it was a white cake, the flavor was so good. I also wanted to thank the owners, they were so sweet and helpful throughout the process! Will definitely return!

This is such a cute little cupcake shop with delicious cupcakes and cakes! I only got the cookies and cream cupcake but it was enough for me to leave 5 stars. It was so delicious and tasty plus it was vegan! The lady taking our order was very kind and made the cupcakes right in front of us so you know they are fresh. I definitely recommend this place for a quick little treat!

Very nice bakery with easy street parking, but I will say that I was a little disappointed that in my order I had specifically asked for a a certain set of flavors. When I looked inside the box, there were two flavors I had written in my instructions that I did not want, so my advice is to just double-check your order even if you had special instructions. Everyone was happy with the final order, though, and the cupcakes were cute.

This is my second time ordering a birthday cake from Half Bake Co and I am very happy with them. Their cakes are very beautiful and they always make sure to have all the little extra details to make it even more special. My guests all thought the cake was beautiful and very yummmy! The owner was very friendly and approachable. She made the process a slice of cake . Thank you very much for my sons cake!!

i walked into this shop to get a dozen birthday cupcakes for a friend. this place smells amazing, like fresh cake and vanilla. staff was super nice. i told them id like to live there because the smell is intoxicatingly good. i mean that!

We wanted a simple cake with sprinkles and Half Baked co came through! We placed our order over the phone and sent a photo just to show exactly how we wanted it. The finished cake looked perfect. The cake was pretty tasty and moist. Highly recommended. They also have many other cake designs and they can create custom designs in 3d!

The entire team was so kind and strived to make my vision come to life for my cousins 9th birthday that was clearly Pokémon/Kirby themed. This is my first purchase with such a large quantity other than their cupcakes that I've enjoyed for years now and it was such an easy experience knowing the owners/talented bakers have an eye for these things! The cake pops tasted DELICIOUS and were very moist! All the kids attending the party were so excited and gasped when the cake pops were brought out. Half Baked really came through for me last minute. I needed to get a cake for a clients birthday last minute and Half Baked was able to turn around a beautiful 8" cake within 2.5 hours, all made from scratch. Not only was it beautiful but it was soooo delicious. Will def be coming back!

Beautifully crafted cakes that taste as good as they look! I''ve been ordering cakes and cupcakes from here for my son's birthday for the past three years and they never disappoint. They're consistent and always delicious. And though I prefer less buttercream filling in my cakes the bread was so good!! Everyone was impressed with the presentation and enjoyed the whimsical design. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse was the party fave. My favorite is the white raspberry cake with a skosh of buttercream - I tend to prefer less decadent desserts. :) Can't wait to come back and order for our next celebratory occasion. The owners offer first-class customer service and truly care about their product and clientele.

I had the best experience these past couple weeks becoming a customer of Half Baked. I worked with Christina and Nina on a special order for a baby shower. I can't explain how much I love Half Baked!! They made my law school graduation cake, 100 times more beautiful than the inspiration picture I sent them. This photo doesn't even do it justice - somehow it was more gorgeous in person (no idea how they captured the most amazing shade do purple frosting!) It was so stunningly beautiful that all of my guests agreed it was the most beautiful cake we've seen - I really considered never cutting it so that we could enjoy its beauty all night! However, boy am I grateful I cut into it. This was the most DELICIOUS vegan red velvet cake I've ever had in my life!!! Gluten Free? This is for ye! A bunch of family and friends are gluten intolerant. And this means that I am, by extension, often in the gluten free zone. Personally, I eat both gluten and gluten free treats, and have harsh opinions about recipes that lack gluten science. HB gets it right. Although the gluten free alternative recipes for many things are getting better, it is sometimes difficult to find some really good gluten free baked desserts. Not here. FOOD Gluten free cakes, cupcakes, and custom treats from HB are all delicious and moist without being overly oily or gummy. The rising is done remarkably well. (I think I've had their vegan cupcakes accidentally - they were good). (Edit: Oh, their GF macarons are amazing - per my daughter) SERVICE I've never been in the store when it's been particularly busy. Maybe 1 or 2 other people tops. Service there is always good, and custom orders are handled like you're their only client! So nice to be treated with such care. PRICE If you purchase gluten free flours, you know that the ingredients cost more than wheat flour. But the cost for their confections isn't much more than you'd pay at any other custom bakery - and it's something everyone can enjoy. LOCATION It's a little tough to get to, but worth it. If you're in the BURBANK area, you probably have a bunch of hidden gems that are on the "hard to get to" side of the street. Put this on the list with those. Located near the Burbank Costco, there is a lot of traffic in the area sometimes. CUSTOM ORDERS. I've gotten simple cakes from them - really easy. This year: gifts from HB for clients' gift baskets. They totally hit a homerun. I'll be back for birthday cupcakes soon!

Very disappointing. We ordered a half dozen regular cupcakes and a half dozen allergen free. They delivered all 12 in one container and didn't mark whiich ones were allergen free. Even if they had... they put them in the same container so cross contamination definitely occurred! Our guest who can't have gluten or eggs was left with no dessert at our event. Half Baked didn't seem to care and offered me a free dozen cupcakes to make amends. I do not recommend! Also, I hesitated to leave this review, because I understand that mistakes happen. But I felt that this was important information for people with severe allergies to have.

They made the most amazing cake and exceeded our expectations with their talent, sophisticated baking and creativity! We were all so impressed by the gorgeous cake!!
