GREAT service! The charbroiled oysters are our favorite menu item. 🦪 As generic as they sound, the fries are so good. 🍟 The seasoning is chef's kiss! Honestly, everything was delicious. Make sure to try the banana foster cheesecake! 🍰🤤 The blueberry sangria is also a winner. 🍹Bottom line...just go! You won't regret it.

Old school vibe when you enter the building. I love cold weather so the temperature inside the building was perfect to me. Staff was attentive, helpful, and happy! I forgot the dish that I've ordered but it had the word Orleans in it. Blacked redfish to perfection accompanied by the shrimp and crab on top! If you're looking for savory, this is it. Definitely coming back again!

The food was a 10 out of 10! Patrick was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. He gave great recommendations from the menu, answered all of our questions, and kept us engaged. This was our first time dining here but it certainly won't be the last.

Cozy New Orleans-style seafood restaurant. Comfortable for groups or dining alone. There are two bars: downstairs is more social and upstairs is more private. Bartenders are friendly and the drinks are delicious. I had The Frenchman, which is made with spicy rye whiskey, housemade sweet & sour, and blackberry puree. Very refreshing. Perfect Spot for a Celebration! I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his college graduation, and we absolutely loved the vibe! We sat at the bar since they don’t take reservations, and although it was a bit busy, it wasn’t anything too crazy. It was my first time trying oysters — and wow, they were amazing! We both enjoyed our meals, and the quality definitely exceeded our expectations. Our total came to around $100 for the two of us, which honestly surprised me… I expected it to be almost double for what we got.

Food is good, but the presentation isn't anything to write home about. Very meh presentation wise. Charbroiled oysters are delicious but were ridiculously small. Half shell raw oysters were also small. I get we're not in oyster season but no reason for oysters that small when I can get them double the size at other restaurants still. Seafood portabella was delicious. Drinks are tasty and service was great though. A little loud, so hard to talk if you're in a group bigger than 4.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Nice bar. Wonderful service. We just stopped in this time get some charbroiled oysters- they are so delicious. Please check out the menu online for a complete list of tasty items. They have everything from appetizers like shrimp cocktail and fried green tomatoes to salads, soups , gumbos and sandwiches and entrees. Delicious desserts like bananas foster cheesecake . There is plenty of parking next door now- just for restaurant customers.

First time visiting this restaurant and was raving about everything I ordered. The Redfish Orleans and gumbo are a must have! I also enjoyed the loaded potatoes and dinner salad. The service was excellent and my server made great recommendations. The place is very nice with a warm feel. It didn't disappoint!

The restaurant always seems to have a wait but we don't mind. We tend to come here with a bigger group so if you do that plan accordingly. Our service was good and I'm not much of an oyster person, but I was pleased with my chicken garlic fettuccine. I was really craving some pasta and it really hit the spot. It was creamy and the pasta wasn't over cooked. They also give a nice portion of chicken on the pasta. For my side I tried the asparagus that was topped with blue cheese and it was quite tasty. The food here is definitely rich and hearty. There's also lots of parking so it's easy to swing by!

Easy walk from Boa Rivage casino, I have maybe two martini a year as I'm not a vodka drinker and this one did not disappoint! Oysters were amazing, shrimp were a little soft/ limp, then Was not a fan of Red fish with sauce and bacon but I think a personal preference.I didn't care for the actual fish. Other than that place is Nice and we had a good time.

Excellent service at the bar. Drinks were delicious and then we stumble upon happy hour always a plus. I got the Basil Lemon Drop martini in the rocks, so refreshing. The Oyster sampler was full of deliciously grilled oysters with various toppings equally delish. The Seafood Bisque was heart with a light broth filled with crawfish crab and corn what a hit! Try the hush puppies with the honey butter, deliciously decadent. Such a warm and inviting beautifully decorated place. You won't go wrong here.

Larry with half Shell oyster house was a great host and gave our family a great experience for my brother in laws 21st birthday. We got pot pie, redfish Orleans, filet, and a couple pastas. All was amazing! This is the best half shell in the southeastern region in regards to service and food quality.

I ran the half marathon and came here for lunch cause I wanted some pasta really bad. The place was really nice. I felt bad coming dressed like I did. The waitress was really friendly. I ordered the grilled chicken Cajun pasta. It was so good! And the garlic bread was excellent! I would definitely return here!

This place hits every time! I came here a few years ago when I was in Biloxi for a fishing trip, and I've thought about it ever since. I am back in town for a work trip, and I recommended this place to my colleagues, and everyone loved it! Royal reds are one of my favorite things ever, and the cheese grits are delicious! The sweet potato crème brûlée was a little cold, but so good. I love the atmosphere, and the service was super quick and nice. I definitely recommend!

We make sure to eat here every time we visit Biloxi. Food and service are always excellent.

Enjoyed a weekday lunch recently while in town. Amazing service, fantastic food, & great prices. I had the half shell salad and shrimp po 'boy. It was delicious. I love their house made vinaigrette dressing on the salad. The salad was fresh and filling. I shared it with my husband. The po'boy contained a generous amount of fried shrimp, along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I got it with mayo on the side. My husband had the uptowner steak sandwich with jalapeño hush puppies. He really enjoyed his food too. Minor item...they need to do some heavy cleaning of their chandeliers as I really noticed the dust on them. We enjoyed lunch so much that I didn't knock stars off for that. Please fix that, Half Shell.

We went there around 8pm on the day after Thanksgiving, we were able to be seated right away. I can see most of tables were occupied, we were lucky ducks ;) Love the place! Price was very reasonable, food was great, Larry and other servers were very attentive and friendly. Suggest to try the oyster sampler if you are first timer! Definitely will come back!

If you are in biloxi this is a must eat place! The oyster sampler was one of the best things I've ever had! I would also strongly recommend the seafood corn bisque. Don't feel like you have to get an entire meal. We shared a sampler and some sides and were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and it was fun to watch them grilling the oysters. It really does give them a great charbroil flavor. The service was super friendly and the interior is modern and clean.

Found this place for a quick lunch due to it location and reviews. Upon entering you are greeted right away and the ambiance is great quiet and music playing is like street performers. The service we received from Gillian was super! She was very attentive and anticipated what we needed before asking! We order the charbroiled oysters and they were delicious. The red beans were awesome too. Overall a great place for food and drinks when you are in Biloxi!!

This is a great spot for fresh seafood with casual atmosphere. 2 stories with ample seatings. Parking right next to the restaurant, very convenient. Seafood here is so fresh, especially the large prawns, supper fresh with the natural sweetness. Seafood gumbo is another one of our favorite. Juicy steak with tasty croquet as appetizer. Friendly service and fast service. Highly recommend by @winedinenvacay

We love the half shell, we always have great food and never a long wait! I usually get Alfredo but decided to try a steak burger and it didn't disappoint!

It's a pretty nice restaurant with quality food. A good value for the price. I had the oysters and salad combo with an Albita Amber beer. The salad was fresh and crisp. The salad left you full without the regret of eating too much. The oysters were also fresh and cold. Served on a bed of ice with lemon, horse radish, and cocktail sauce. The sauce had a spicy taste but not an overpowering flavor. The beer was cold as it should be. The service was very nice, with the server stopping by a few times checking on our needs. The place was clean and fancy. It was a great experience and worth the visit. Thank you. Half Shell Oysters for making our trip to Biloxi memorable.

I have been so many places that the oysters are hit or miss but these are always on point! Also love the sweet potato soufflé and the cheese grits

#Tiki Triathlon continues. Dine,Drink, Shop and what better than in Mississippi. Great Happy Hour with $ 5.00 off dozen oysters and they do not disappoint. We had both half shell and grilled along with a Martini and Old Fashioned. Grilled in front of us they were so fresh. We also had to try the Crawfish Cheesecake a savory fluffy quiche like filling on top of a cornbread crust covered in a creamy crawfish and shrimp served warm it was soooo delicious I am going to crave this until the next time. Great cocktails, food and service.

10 star review!! Best place for oysters, best place for service that you Maggie, Linda and bar staff. Shout out to the evening chefs that allowed us to sample the New Orleans BBQ oysters served with grilled bread. Shout out to the free grits there was screamed from the kitchen to the staff for those who wanted a to go bag at closing. Shout out to the martini maker, without him the spirit would have been mediocre. Shout out to out to the sautéed crab claws! Warm hugs to the patrons that continue to support this real experience at this restaurant. Felt like I was in someone's kitchen who kept going back asking me to try this, try that and did I get enough of this or that. This experience made my stay in Biloxi one of the best experiences I have ever had while dining.

Returned today and was met with pure awesomeness. The hosts (a Madison and Evelyn) were so hospitable, grill cooks and busser as well as bartender were filled with genuine hospitality. The food was solid and the other guests were friendly. This is a go to spot now for is whenever in Biloxi.

Great food the best charbroiled oyster I ever had the best one are the Orleans . Try the sampler to your fix on which is best for you . Definitely great happy hour. Wish you could mix and match the half dozens with the happy hour but besides that food is well worth it !

Had my birthday dinner here & had a great time overall! Grilled oyster sampler was phenomenal as was our blackened & Parmesan crusted Mahi Mahis. I ordered the jalapeño hush puppies & fried okra & my wife got a side of the mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. For dessert I got a chocolate martini & blueberry cobbler white chocolate cheesecake. Service was fine, great ambiance. My only critique is the blueberry cheesecake was supposed to be served with a compote but they ran out so they served the cheesecake by itself, which was a little disappointing because it was dry & plain & looked nothing like the picture they advertised without the compote. We were not told in advance that they were out of the compote & our server caught it & brought it back to ask the manager after we had eaten half of it. It was at that point they said they were out & brought it back out to us half eaten while still charging us the full price for it... Good customer service/management would've offered to take the item off the check or offered to replace it with something else because this was an error on their part, but nothing was done which was disappointing, especially for my birthday dessert. The rest of the meal was good though!

Half Shell, you're always consistent, food is good, and wait is always long. This restaurant is a solid pick everytime you're craving seafood or anything really, they have a great selection in their menu and I must say I've never really had a dish I didn't like. My favorites are the charbroiled oysters, royal reds, and mahi. As far as ambiance, they're always busy so it's pretty loud here. But the great food tops that, also be prepared to wait if you come in over the weekends for a table.

Food and service were excellent. Went out for a stay in Mississippi and this was one of our favorite. Oysters were excellent, and food was on point. Will definitely go again.

The food and service here is probably top 10 in the US. Personally, my favorite restaurant I have ever been to. Our server Roxy was the best!

This is a staple of the town, you must go so you can try everything on the menu. Bring friends, share your plates; everything is to die for.

So good we ended up visiting twice on our trip. We stayed at the Hyatt Place and this was right down the street. Ambiance was wonderful, service was great and food was fantastic. The 2nd night we came was a busy Saturday night but the they were able to squeeze us in upstairs near the bar. I was worried because I feel like bar service is hit or miss but both bartenders were fabulous and very attentive. I ordered the blackened redfish with Cajun potatoes and added a side of blackened shrimp. My husband ordered the seafood sampler and added the Orleans oysters. Make sure to order the Royal Reds & Jalapeño Hushpuppies for an appetizer. We definitely will return if ever in Mississippi again. Great date night spot or nice family dinner.

This is our GO TO every trip to Biloxi. Brittany was our server and she was so good, actually one of the best servers we ever had. The food is always delicious but she really took excellent care of us! We will see her in June!

Couldn't help but eat every bite. This seafood is delicious and the oysters did not disappoint at all. The Oyster Orleans are some of the best Oysters I have had and there's no doubt I will be ordering them every time I come here. You get so much flavor in each bite you'll be scraping each shell clean for more. It's salty, umami at its finest and just the perfect bite that you'll be devouring the whole plate and wondering why you even ordered a entree and maybe should have just ordered dozens of these oysters. Po' boy was also delicious. Not lacking in flavor, sweet and savory and a good amount of food. The jalapeño hushpuppies paired perfectly with their honey butter! I scouted this place out before arriving in Gulfport/Biloxi area- it was a must visit. I will say I was not disappointed. It's an upscale dining, oyster house, fabulous wine list. The inside is classic oyster house vibe, white linen table clothes, rustic attributes in an old brick building- they played on that characteristic in the decor. The service was great, the food was delish. My wine was quiet lovely. All in all this place was a win.

Once again the Half Shell did not disappoint. We had a nice meal and oysters! The restaurant was super busy. My grilled oysters were not quite as "grilled" as I like it. I like more caramelization. This time they were more kissed than grilled. But I ain't mad.

We got here five minutes after opening on a Sunday. Granted we need a table of 7 on the first floor, but there were several four person tables available. We've been sitting here for 35 minutes. If it wouldn't take longer to drive somewhere else and be seated, we'd leave. The last time we came here and were actually seated, my grandfather was still alive and my oldest was two years old. She's 11 now. Save your time and dine elsewhere.

The food was cold. It had flavor but it was hard. The service was not great because they left off half of my order. Then when it showed up it was burned.

There is no way to order something small here. I had the royal redfish with a side of cheesy grits. When in Biloxi you MUST have the royal red shrimp because it is a local delicacy that is a much sweeter shrimp with incredible flavor. My friend ordered the grilled seafood platter with grilled oysters added to the order. Honestly we could have shared one entrée and have been just full enough. Order small or be prepared to take home leftovers. We sat at the bar and were talking with the oyster shuckers. Yes they have two people who just pull apart the oysters because they sell so many in a day. They gave us some good recommendations on places to eat and drink. Everyone was so friendly and service was impeccable. The ambience is good and it's worth sitting at the bar to meet and greet everyone.

Ah-may-zing! Like if I knew then what I knew now, I would have gotten more oysters. Those hardboiled oysters were sooooo, good. We got the sampler, but here's the thing, we didn't even take pictures of the oysters. Tbh, there is really no need, as they have a million on here anyway, so what you see here is what you get. Now, they were all amazing. You get three of each of the four flavors offered. When I tell you, I can't even give words to describe. Of the two my fans were the Oyster Orleans and the chargrilled oysters. Hands down, thee best I've ever had, and I love oysters. My son however loved the other two, so win win. Though let me say this... there weren't any I didn't like, because we tried them all... im just glad we didn't share favs cause we only got three of each... eekkk... I need a dozen of each! Yum. Okay I haven't even gotten to th3 food part yet. I got the redfish orleans... the seafood was so fresh and delicious. I was in my happy place the whole time. My husband got the burger and my son got the seafood alfredo... this will be our "regular" spot any and EVERY time we visit the area. Can't wait to get back!

Excellent! Food , service , ambience all very good. Price comparable to local competitors. Only negative is it's located in Hard Rock Casino so you have to park in the garage and walk a while to get there. Other than that that, it's a great place for oysters.

Excellent restaurant in downtown Biloxi. We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try. Joined the waitlist on Yelp and we were seating shortly after arriving at the establishment. Our server Nick was GREAT! He gave several great recommendations to help us decide what to order as we had never visited the restaurant. We started with the shrimp and crab dip which is served warm and was well liked by everyone at the table. My son and I both had the Redfish Orleans which was EXCELLENT! We both thoroughly enjoyed it as it was served with a very flavorful cajun butter sauce topped with shrimp and crab. My husband had the Royal Redfish which has more of a cream sauce and he preferred the taste of his as he isn't a big fan of spicy things. My daughter LOVED her fried shrimp and especially the fries! We loved all the sides. Both the cheese grits, sweet potatoes and the hush puppies were favorites of mine and as I mentioned already, my 17 year old daughter loved the French fries...lol. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend you give this place a try. We were sad that we were too full for desserts as we heard they are amazing as well.

The food was good, my mom and I went one day, it was my first time going, the service was amazing the waiter was really really nice... it was a 45 min to 1 hour wait but that was fine for my mom and I...

The food here is good and consistent. We've never had a bad meal here. Drinks are delicious and servers are always nice. It's a cool place with ambiance just like a NOLA joint. Oysters are the stand-out, but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Highly recommend!

The food was spectacular! The flavors on my tuna were delicious and it was so tender, cooked perfectly. The service was splendid, our waitress was very personable and helpful. The ambiance is great in there. They have sports on the tv. There's an upper and lower floor steps in between.

Our experience at the Half Shell Oyster House was fantastic. We splurged here for sure. We had blackberry margaritas and old fashions. The drinks were tasty and the service was wonderful. The jalapeño hushpuppies with honey butter were delicious. I would have eaten 100 more of them. I had oysters and they were huge and flavorful. My husband had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. He had a desert that he really enjoyed. Overall, this was the best meal we had on our vacation.
