Halfway House Hotel Kimberley

We stayed here last night and, unfortunately, were very disappointed. The blankets were dirty, and although the bathroom in Room 57 is spacious, the amount of mould present was unacceptable. For the amount we paid, we expected much better standards. Honestly, the money could be used to repaint and maintain the entire block.

Man at reception was slow and seemingly incompetant - takes ages to get anything done. He does not belong at a hotel reception desk. The shower was disgustingly filthy it hadn't been scrubbed with a cleaning solution in months. The toilet seat was damaged. No toiletpaper in the en suite, had to ask for some. The washbasin sink whobbled and there was a filthy ring around the tap and no hot water in the basin The evening already, none of the bedsite table lights or plugs in the room worked, was unable to charge a cellphone (they had issues with plugs throughout the whole hotel by the next morning) Couldn't dry my hair The bedding was no longer white but eggshell cream Overall shabby feeling to the place The "warm" breakfast was cold The waiters hid in the kitchen and you can't order eggs for breakfast There is either no cups, no coffee, no milk - so do not expect a cup of coffee with breakfast Every single aspect was disappointing. Do not aggravate yourself with incompetant reception staff or waste your money, there are much better value for money accomodation in Kimberley The owners needs to wake up because the hotel is seriously mismanaged and the workforce are disengaged

I booked myself a room on the 27th of July. I got room number 4. Which has a joining door to room number 5. The guests in room number 5 decided to play their music loudly and talk loudly till well after 12 am. I was unable to sleep. I payed for a room that i could not even sleep in. I could not find any staff to sort this out. I really expected more of a so called 4 star hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to any one

Rooms are a joke. Bed is way past its sell by date Walls are crumbling Termites in the wall Not cleaned from the last guest that stayed there No drinking water (you can’t drink tap water in Kimberly) The place stinks of a wet dog Not a lekker stay over

A most comfortable house to take shotleft in Kimberly...... clean and quiet place to be with comfortable room that comes with King/Queen bed to lie on; Television; clean private bathroom (some rooms) and lastly a wardrobe to store your clothes clean.....

Historic hotel situated in the heart of Kimberly. Good value for money but seems more of a 3 star than a 4 star hotel. The service is slow and the parking is limited. Close to restaurants so there is easy access to food.

You get that classic vintage feel when you go to this hotel. Its a nice spot.

Had a bad experience staying at Halfway House Kimberley, 1st of all the tv did not work at all. The bathroom was dirty. And the bedding and room was full of bugs. Lastly the drains was disgusting you shower and then the whole bathroom is full of water as the shower did not drain
