Halfway House Hotel Kimberley

Hotel need serious maintenance. 1.Air-conditioner not working effectively. 2. Only 1 set of towels in the room was informed that they only have 1 set per room, we were 2 guests. 3.Broken bathroom towel rails. 4. Black Mildew in the shower floor. 5. Swimming pool not clean was informed by reception that it was cleaned last week, and they would not advise us to swim. The weather was 36°C. 6. Hotel needs a serious fix-up & clean. AGvdW

The room smelled stuffy . I do not think those mats get cleaned . The WiFi was very slow. The staff is always willing to help but I think more effort must come into deep cleaning the rooms . The single rooms with 1 double bed

We stayed here last night and, unfortunately, were very disappointed. The blankets were dirty, and although the bathroom in Room 57 is spacious, the amount of mould present was unacceptable. For the amount we paid, we expected much better standards. Honestly, the money could be used to repaint and maintain the entire block.

I booked for my colleagues for work purposes, we made a booking arrangements before they arrived. Apparently ,when they got there, they allocated my male colleague his room first, then they allocated my female colleague the room next but, they said the room was locked they needed to find the key , they started giving my colleagues stories in which in the beginning they were told they must not take everything that happens to social media, thats when they started feeling unsafe , my Female colleague changed rooms with the male colleague, my male colleague said he entered the room he saw as if there was someone sleeping on the bed as in like bed was not properly made, but he never nagged that as he was tired. he says in the middle of the night while he was sleeping around 11pm someone opened the door and said the room is his . when i got all the feedback from my colleagues in the morning , i tried calling the hotel apparently the story is true and they said they are still trying to find out what happened ive been waiting for feedback since in the morning but otherwise my conclusion is that i would not book for any of my colleagues here ever again and i would never recommend it to anyone imagine if it was a female sleeping in that room and a man entered at 11 pm and found in there sleeping ? A lot couldhave happened. Bad service indeed.

I arrived at 7:30 and even though I was way too early for check in, but the ladies at the reception helped me, they were super helpful and friendly. I stayed in room 54 for 2 nights, absolutely loved the room, nice and cozy! Will definitely stay here again when I visit.

Nice clean accommodation. Friendly staff. Excellent food and reasonable prices.

Man at reception was slow and seemingly incompetant - takes ages to get anything done. He does not belong at a hotel reception desk. The shower was disgustingly filthy it hadn't been scrubbed with a cleaning solution in months. The toilet seat was damaged. No toiletpaper in the en suite, had to ask for some. The washbasin sink whobbled and there was a filthy ring around the tap and no hot water in the basin The evening already, none of the bedsite table lights or plugs in the room worked, was unable to charge a cellphone (they had issues with plugs throughout the whole hotel by the next morning) Couldn't dry my hair The bedding was no longer white but eggshell cream Overall shabby feeling to the place The "warm" breakfast was cold The waiters hid in the kitchen and you can't order eggs for breakfast There is either no cups, no coffee, no milk - so do not expect a cup of coffee with breakfast Every single aspect was disappointing. Do not aggravate yourself with incompetant reception staff or waste your money, there are much better value for money accomodation in Kimberley The owners needs to wake up because the hotel is seriously mismanaged and the workforce are disengaged

Disappointing Experience* I'm saddened to share my recent experience at a hotel I've frequented over the years. Unfortunately, each visit has revealed a decline in quality and service. During my latest stay, I encountered numerous issues, including: - A strong, unpleasant odor in the room, possibly due to unclean carpets or bedding - An oversoft mattress that felt worn out, suggesting it hadn't been replaced in years - Pillows in poor condition, rendering them unusable - Long wait times at reception, with only one staff member handling a high volume of guests - A clogged shower causing flooding, stained towels, dirty TVs, and a rotten roof section - A Wi-Fi router with a distractingly bright light that disrupted my sleep - A sliding door lock that felt insecure and easy to open - Absence of fresh milk and coffee The overall condition of the hotel was subpar, and the price didn't match the quality of service. I had a poor night's sleep and wouldn't consider returning, even at a discounted rate. Given the state of the hotel, I'd rate it below 2 stars if possible. Unfortunately, I can only give it 1 star. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously to improve the hotel's standards. *Rating: 1/5 Stars*
