Halfway House Hotel Kimberley

This hotel is fantastic to look at, plenty of character. There are a number of positive and negatives from our perspective. First observation was no one in reception when we arrived at 5pm, the door was locked, I waited 10 minutes. The receptionist gave me the key and said your room is in that direction, there are no signs for room numbers. Not a good check in experience. The room however was lovely, big and spacious with a good aircon fitted and large tv. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. I did as reception for a second set of towels as only one set in room, an hour later I went back and asked again.|A big plus of this hotel is the restaurants adjoining the hotel, we ate at the Fat Greek. Breakfast was a disaster, I went in at 09:15 there was no service, no tea or coffee, no breakfast for toast, no pastries and one dried out egg. I asked a lady for 2 fried eggs, after 15 minutes I left without breakfast.|I rate the room 5 but service 1… we left disappointed.|Management need to get a grip on poor service!

Hotel need serious maintenance. 1.Air-conditioner not working effectively. 2. Only 1 set of towels in the room was informed that they only have 1 set per room, we were 2 guests. 3.Broken bathroom towel rails. 4. Black Mildew in the shower floor. 5. Swimming pool not clean was informed by reception that it was cleaned last week, and they would not advise us to swim. The weather was 36°C. 6. Hotel needs a serious fix-up & clean. AGvdW

The room smelled stuffy . I do not think those mats get cleaned . The WiFi was very slow. The staff is always willing to help but I think more effort must come into deep cleaning the rooms . The single rooms with 1 double bed

I booked for my colleagues for work purposes, we made a booking arrangements before they arrived. Apparently ,when they got there, they allocated my male colleague his room first, then they allocated my female colleague the room next but, they said the room was locked they needed to find the key , they started giving my colleagues stories in which in the beginning they were told they must not take everything that happens to social media, thats when they started feeling unsafe , my Female colleague changed rooms with the male colleague, my male colleague said he entered the room he saw as if there was someone sleeping on the bed as in like bed was not properly made, but he never nagged that as he was tired. he says in the middle of the night while he was sleeping around 11pm someone opened the door and said the room is his . when i got all the feedback from my colleagues in the morning , i tried calling the hotel apparently the story is true and they said they are still trying to find out what happened ive been waiting for feedback since in the morning but otherwise my conclusion is that i would not book for any of my colleagues here ever again and i would never recommend it to anyone imagine if it was a female sleeping in that room and a man entered at 11 pm and found in there sleeping ? A lot couldhave happened. Bad service indeed.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpfull staff. Save parking. We will definitely sleep there again. Beautiful hotel.

I arrived at 7:30 and even though I was way too early for check in, but the ladies at the reception helped me, they were super helpful and friendly. I stayed in room 54 for 2 nights, absolutely loved the room, nice and cozy! Will definitely stay here again when I visit.

Great food at Doc's. And the breakfast omg. I love the pool, and had a work out session in the racquet club quality gym.

Nice clean accommodation. Friendly staff. Excellent food and reasonable prices.
