Hallbank Guest House

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights when doing the Macmillan mighty hike. The room was lovely and comfortable. The free breakfast is amazing, I am a fruit lover and was overwhelmed by the choice! Also fab pastries, meat, cheese or cooked. Margaret, the proprietor was so welcoming and went the extra mile by giving us an early breakfast and running us to the start of the hike. We will certainly be back and would give 6 out of 5 if we could! Highly recommended.

A small B&B in a 300 year old house - yet with all the amenities we expect today. The rooms are relatively large and beautifully furnished. Very friendly staff, good breakfast.

Arrived late on Wednesday and got the last room, place is right in the middle of Hexham behind the old Gaol, comfy room, amazing shower, a bit noisy with other guests above and squeaky stairs but would definitely stay here again, perfect location

Fantastic staff, lovely place , ideal for the town and bars and restaurants, I've been 3 times now and the standards are always top notch.
