Hallé at St Michael's

This venue hosts concerts regularly, but unfortunately, it is neither suitable for the sound system nor the lighting setup. The lights are very disturbing for both the audience and the artists on stage. They should be suspended from above, and their intensity should be adjusted according to the size of the venue. The same goes for the sound system. I believe a more evenly distributed speaker arrangement would help reduce the discomfort caused by the current setup. I’m not a professional in this field, but I’m sharing this feedback based on my experience as a listener and an audience member. I really love the artist and their work, which is why I traveled from afar for this concert. However, I was very disappointed with the venue. Even the chairs were extremely uncomfortable, and overall, I did not like the venue at all.

It was fine, we were seated halfway, couldn't see the drummer in the band, the sound was OK. There were toilets at the front. More church hall than town music venue.

Went here for the first time to watch the John Martyn Project. It's only a small venue but the acoustics are excellent and the staff were all helpful and really friendly. There's a small number of parking spaces outside the venue but there's also a small multi storey car park just a minutes walk away. Also some really good eating/drinking options nearby.

A beautiful building, housing an exquisite example of Yamaha's iconic CFX 9ft. Concert Grand piano used by The Hallé Orchestra for rehearsals. The building has excellent toilet and catering facilities, and there's There is plenty of on-street parking.

I've been here for several live events. I love the place. Cosy. Friendly. Spacious (they don't overfill the space). Decent drink selection. Awesome acoustics. Easy to get to. On street parking in the vicinity. Nothing but superlatives.

A very quaint old church building. Situated in the immediate outskirts of Manchester town centre, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were specifically visiting it. I'm uncertain as to whether or not it still functions as a church but I'm guessing not since it is part of the Halle orchestra of Manchester. I was recently at Halle St Michael's attending a music gig being held there. For anyone wanting to hire this venue they would definitely appreciate the fantastic acoustics! There is pay & display parking facilities just outside the church.

This space is rented by the Halle, and used to be a church, and is used mainly for community events, and outside orchestral rehearsals and at least 3 choirs. It's also used for small birthday and retirement parties!! And there's also been a few concerts in recent weeks.
