As a local guide in Copenhagen and the founder of Go Like a Local, I’m always looking for places that locals genuinely enjoy and recommend. Hallernes Smørrebrød in TorvehallerneKBH is one of them. I had their smørrebrød with crispy pork roast, and it was excellent. The crackling was perfectly crunchy, the meat juicy, and the toppings well balanced. It’s classic Danish comfort food done right, served in a vibrant food market that both locals and visitors will appreciate. A solid stop if you want an authentic taste of Copenhagen.

Delicious open sandwiches - great quality! We had the roastbeef and Danish meatball smørrebrød. High price tag, however, if you don’t mind the price; worthwhile. You can sit and enjoy your food plus get to see them making fresh stock in front of you while you eat and drink. Atmosphere of this market is very cool with great food options and artisans on display!

Open face sandwiches that are made right on the spot and lot of various types to chose from. What is most important is that they are fresh. They do look small and I took 2 at the time. I can tell that one would be more than enough and I barely finished the second one and honestly was struggling as I was more than full. Lot of toppings and various drinks to chose from. It was delicious and I really enjoyed it. Bread is perfect pair with whatever type you chose. I would visit again.

Fresh, delicious open face sandwiches. The shrimp and fish cake were extremely good choices with an amazing depth of flavour that felt well balanced and very fresh. The queue is worth the wait.

I love 'smørebrød', and they looked delicious and tasted fine. Upon receivale I notice that they saw a bit 'tiered', as they have been in laying a bit. The greens where dry in the corners, and the mayo was Turing a bit glassy. The tast was fine, bit didn't reach the omami expectation of a 'smørebrød'.

Definitely a place to visit as a tourist, great food, a super offer and plenty to choose from. It's a busy place so it's better to reach it by walking. There was a big line when we came, but it took less than 10 minutes until our turn and it was worth waiting. The food was just perfect; there are all kinds of common seating and eating spaces with a great atmosphere. Parking is on the street, with a lot of bikes and pedestrian traffic around.

Probably the best smørrebrød you can find! It gets quite busy during peak hours, but it’s definitely worth it. The selection is fantastic and everything tastes absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
