A typical market set over two halls where one is dedicated to seafood. There are arts and crafts and clothing stalls outside the entrance. There are many stalls, fling the markets with brand names, cafés, and clothing and souvenir shops. The area is lively and has a vibrant atmosphere. There are many options for the shopper and different types of food available.

Fantastic array of food to buy. Seafood hall brilliant. Really good place for a seafood platter and you can sit upstairs. But crazy busy on a Saturday. We went Friday and was pretty quiet. The picture is just what I had, as had a late breakfast in the hotel. But you can add anything you want, from oysters to lobster and everything in-between. Unreal, and very good value. Picture with a glass of wine was 14 euro

Gorgeous cheeses, meats, desserts, bread, fruit, veg, wine, fish etc...Courteous shop owners. All speak a bit or a lot of English. Went there every morning to pickup breakfast or snacks for the day's jaunts.

Just must see. One of the best I visited. Not so big, but clean, compact, with great variety of all kind of food. In my opinion the place is better than one in Bayonna, one of the best I ever visited. Prices slightly higher than in "normal" shops (as usual), but the quality and variety of food justify this. Highly reccommended!

Les Halles de Biarritz is where you feel the city’s pulse—not through glossy tourism, but through real-time commerce, tradition, and taste. It’s a living, breathing mosaic of Basque culture. Don’t just taste it—inhale it.
Gourmet charcuterie and cheese stands with the kind of aged, cured magic that can raise hairs on the back of your neck.
A bakery counter that doesn’t just bake; it seduces you with the crust, the crumb, the promise of butter and morning.
This place is a must visitv

Excellent French Central Market. Butchers, bakers & fish mongers. Outside there are arts & clothing. We enjoy these markets an Biarritz's is a good small city central market.

Excellent selections. Inside the hall are about 20 different shops. Cheese, produce, meat, pastries, bread, pasta, deli, etc. A couple cafes and a crepes restaurant. Fresh, great quality, friendly service. I was surprised by the selection of cheese, I wanted to try them all! Go early, the hall closes by 1400.

Lots of different fresh foods, raw and cooked meats and seafood. A few bakery stalls and pastry. Quite busy and closes at 2pm.

Yelp
Simply Amazing! . Best spot for just about everything in town. It's definitely a great choice to pair the oysters with some nice white wine.

Yelp
We had so much fun here. In this town and in this market. You will do pretty well even with speaking French.
This is the heart of the town pretty much. Everything happens before 2 pm and closes around that time too. We stop by for their famous oyster and had zero regret. Just wished we were here earlier in the day.
This market has two parts. A side for fresh veggie, cheese and bread. French people take their bread very seriously. You will find a lot of small pastries on the way in therefore do come hungry. Next part will be the meat and seafood part. I would come back here again just for their oyster bar in the back. Beside oyster, you can find other fresh season cooked and serve on the spot. Be warned it's not a big space. You can get some or alot to go on the beach. But just eat it there and enjoy.
Restroom is outside the building and it locks down after 2 pm. We were there on weekends so no sure on weekdays.

Yelp
OMG! This place is perfect when you need to get dinner ready! Their markets and restaurants are well maintained and smell delicious. Balme with its black truffle scrambled eggs, go next door and get the best breaded chicken. Follow that up with crispy duck skin (yes I said it!). You will not go wrong!!

Yelp
This is a definite stop if you're in Biarritz. Lively and full of delicious treats, your Euros will go farther here than they will elsewhere in Biarritz. There's a little bar when you first walk in to your left that's wonderful. And definitely don't miss Chez Flo to meet friendly Cherise and try her unbelieveable tarts (we tried the tarte au pomme and the pear and chocolate chip tart--both amazing) and pain au chocolate. We may have gone back again for more... I also enjoyed my kefta from the little Lebanese place. Don't miss this! And the neighborhood is super cute, too!

Yelp
THIS PLACE... If you are visiting Biarritz and staying a few days, grab your breakfast and lunch here. We did this for our entire stay and then went to a different restaurant at night. Fresh pastries, fruits, delicious meats and cheeses are everywhere. Want to sit for tapas? They have mini tapas bars inside too that look and taste even better than a couple of the local places that specialize. Across from the fruit market is a seafood market. WOW. The oysters, the huge prawns... I ate 2 prawns that were almost a foot long each. And then very cute flea market shopping outside of textiles and clothes. I love supporting local business, so I purchased some goodies there too :)
