We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, with a beautiful oceanfront balcony and great views. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. There is a nice indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna on the 4th floor, which the kids really enjoyed. The location is also great, with the excellent Georgie’s Beachside Grill right next door, which was a highlight on its own. One thing to note is that room cleanliness is very important to us, and it did not fully meet the standard we would expect from a hotel of this level. I believe this was a one time issue, but it is something that should be addressed. The Wi-Fi was also inconsistent during our stay. Overall, we had a great experience, would definitely return, and highly recommend the hotel.

Google
Overall a good experience. I was, however, given an 'upgraded' room at check-in. I had asked for the type of room I wanted and was not aware of this upgrade. When I got to the room I was very disappointed. Called the front desk to ask why it wasn't the room I asked for, they explained how much better this one was. I explained why I didn't agree. I had to wait until they could find me a room like the one I specified, then schlep the luggage down the hall, across the lobby and down another hall to get to the room. This was after a 4 hour drive to get there. After that it was great. Great ocean view, nice fireplace, everything I hoped it would be.

My friend has been bugging me to try this place for years. Finally decided to go. I love that this place is pet friendly, even though I did not bring my dogs this visit. I got the king room with a jacuzzi spa, and it was perfect, and could fit 2 people comfortably. The room was very clean, and had a perfect little kitchenette. The attached restaurant was really good. Prices are a little spend, but expected that. The people working here are very nice, and helpful. The workout room was small, but had everything to get a good workout in. Workout equipment could be upgraded. Some equipment was broken or very worn out. Would recommend this place to any couple. Will definitely be back.

Had a great stay! Thank you to Kalley for making my reservation. She was very professional over the phone and made me feel well taken care of. I also want to thank Irvin, I mentioned the coffee was running low, and within minutes he brought out a fresh pot. That's what I call great service. And a huge shoutout to the lady with the curly hair, I believe her name was Jolene. She was so friendly, warm, and knowledgeable about the area. Thank you to the entire Hallmark staff for making my stay comfortable!

Google
These rooms are so nice for being pet friendly. I felt like my dog was just as welcome a d cared for as my partner and I were. The view is amazing, the location is excellent, the experience was top notch. I will be returning!

Google
We had such a wonderful stay at the Hallmark Resort in Newport! From the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel cared for and welcomed. Irvin at the front desk is an absolute doll — so kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. Our room was beautiful with a cozy atmosphere and a perfect ocean view. We were surprised with free snacks for us and a sweet gift bag for our pup, which was such a thoughtful touch. My 81-year-old mom got to experience room service for the very first time, and Georgie’s made it extra special. Their food was delicious — especially the blueberry pancakes! Even when our neighbors accidentally (or not-so-accidentally!) took our breakfast, Georgie’s staff immediately made it right without hesitation. Their kindness and professionalism really stood out. Overall, this hotel exceeded every expectation. Between the amazing staff, the comfort of the room, the pet-friendly love, and the delicious food, this stay was unforgettable. We will absolutely be back! 💙🌊🐾

Google
Great rooms with a great view. Close to everything in Newport but not directly on the main drag so it's not loud at night. Be sure and book directly through their website for better prices. I've stayed here twice now and this will be my hotel of choice when I visit the area.

Google
Room exactly as advertised. Hotel was clean, quiet and interior was modern. Staff appeared sincerely friendly and were always helpful. Would definitely go again.||||Attached restaurant (Georgie's) was pretty good too. Expensive imho, but good quantity and well-prepared. Service was good.

Yelp
Hallmark Resort Newport is beyond exceptional. We've been staying at beach resorts for our entire lives. Hallmark Resort Newport is one of the best we've ever stayed at! Cannot recommend this hotel and this town enough for anyone who likes coastal towns on the Pacific. One of the best trips we've had and we travel constantly. We decided to take a trip to Newport completely on a whim to check out the Ripley's Believe or Not (Ripley's WAS AWESOME!!!) as well as this really unique and interesting beach community we've read and researched a lot about. As a Washingtonian who has spent a lifetime at Ocean Shores, Tokeland and all of the main suspect coastal holiday towns, I feel I am well acquainted with the traditional coastal holiday towns. This town and the Hallmark are among the best i've ever experienced. We decided to stay at the Hallmark after reading so many great things about it and finding out they have rooms with hot tubs in them. Showing up, we were greeted by Jolene who was just spectacular with amazing energy and passion. We really loved the vibe of the Hallmark which is classic coastal resort with beautiful interiors and absolutely stunning views of the Ocean. At the Hallmark, you're literally on the beach. The magnificent sunsets and the wonderful rhythmic crash of the ocean waves on the shore is the best way I've found to defrag your brain and relax. I've stayed in tons of coastal resorts, each offering unique things that I liked. The Hallmark was stunning in that it seemed to have everything under one roof that I've enjoyed at so many other beach resorts. The pool and hot tub area was great, although we didn't spend much time there with a hot tub in our room. They have an exceptional beverage all day setup with coffee and all sorts of things in the lobby. They give you an awesome snack basket with popcorn, chips and all sorts of goodies in your room. Free beach blankets for the beach. You can borrow movies from their gift shop. Each section of the hotel has it's own elevator so it's very easy to get around. Awesome fireplaces that are quite romantic and comforting. Bath salts for your hot tub, my wife LOVED this. So many cool thoughtful and impressive things the hotel does for their guests, it's hard to remember them all now. The staff here is amazing! After checking us in, Jolene called us to make sure we liked our room and she could not have been more awesome. We also loved Michael the night manager who had an awesome sense of humor and was just a delight to deal with. Really great people here. Another fantastic thing we loved about the Hallmark is you have an excellent restaurant and fancy bar just a few steps away from the hotel in the same parking lot with Georgie's. We had dinner there our first night and loved it! Newport is an embarrassment of treasures when it comes to incredible restaurants to try but Georgie's is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner a rock's throw from the the hotel. And another feature of the Hallmark that blows my mind is you can get room service here from Georgie's any time until 10 PM! That is so awesome and something I don't think I've experienced at another beach resort. We were so impressed with Newport, Oregon and the Hallmark Hotel. We cannot wait to go back! And anytime in the future we go to Newport, we'll be sure to stay at the Hallmark Resort. A top experience and a top hotel if you enjoy classic Pacific beach resorts.

Yelp
We spent one night here on road trip from Seattle back home to California. So glad we chose the Hallmark Resort. Hotel has nice amenities. A nice touch is welcome basket with goodies to enjoy like popcorn, & chips, cookies. And of course individual cup coffee maker. Great service from staff, Alex was very friendly and professional. As far as location five star +. Cool view of light house. Every room has an ocean view just wished we could have stayed longer. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Indoor pool and jacuzzi definitely enhanced our stay after being on the road for around 6-7 hrs. Definitely returning on next road trip to Pacific Northwest.

Yelp
The room is spacious, newly designed and has spectacular views of the ocean. Ocean front view from your room!! I can't say enough about Kalley who helped me problem solve some challenges prior to our arrival. She was helpful and understanding. Felt like home away from home. They have a coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar that comes in handy. The workout room is a bit dated but has just about everything you need including a peloton. Our room was a short walk to the beach. The resort is also connected to their famous Restaurant Georgie's. It was ok. Plenty of parking. Helpful staff and cute welcome basket with yummy snacks. It's centrally located in the heart of Newport. Everything was less than a five minute drive. Our stay was 10/10. It's clean and comfortable. The only thing is that there's lots of fog throughout the day.

Yelp
Enjoyed a two night stay for our one year wedding anniversary. They had very sweet accommodations including swan shaped pillows, a bottle of champagne or cider and a snack basket. The view was amazing, right on the beach unlike some other resorts nearby. There is beach access near the restaurant next door. The restaurant next door provides room service and when we ate there we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The room was a corner suite with a king bed, a living room area, large kitchenette, fireplace and a two person hot tub with jets. The hot tub was lovely and there were bath salts and robes given to enjoy. One of the tv's had capabilities to sign into Amazon prime with your own account to purchase movies to watch. They also have a dvd rental service near the front desk. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the Bluetooth option for the tvs (two tvs inside) weren't working, the volume went out on one tv on the second night, the thermostat wasn't working and one pillow had a fairly large stain on it.

Yelp
Check in was a breeze. All of our info was on file and the room was ready early. There was coffee available in the lobby and it is a nice medium blend. The room we reserved has a gas fireplace and a mini kitchenette. This includes a small fridge, microwave, Keurig with coffee supplies and a sink that has a filter on the cold water for fresh drinking and coffee. The beds have a comfortable mid range firmness, not too soft or firm. The balcony view over the ocean is outstanding. There are a couple of comfortable chairs with a small drink table between them. The front wall is a plexiglass wall so your view is unobstructed. The odd thing about the balconies is that they are not quite private. There is a small wall between balconies rather than a closed wall. The room is spacious enough and comes equipped with a gas fireplace on a timer switch. There is also an iron and ironing board and plenty of dresser drawers and hangers for those of us who like to unpack. We are here to celebrate our retirement and the hotel had helped our friends to arrange a welcome gift of flowers, balloons and a charcuterie board that was created by Georgie's, the on-site restaurant. The hotel staff are also outstanding and have checked on us to see if everything is satisfactory. We have yet to check out the indoor heated pool and hot tub, but it looks very clean and inviting. Five stars for this particular class of Hotel, especially for the Service, view and cleanliness. ================== Update We just got back from the pool. Most excellent! There is a heated pool, a large jacuzzi tub AND a really nice sauna complete with hot rocks, water and ladle. Maintenance came through while we were there checking on Ph levels, chlorine, temps.... This place is well maintained indeed. That sauna was a new experience, very comfortable. Definitely 5 stars now.

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel with very nice rooms.Beautiful view very dog, friendly.Great restaurant right next door. And beautiful beaches all around it and a great lighthouse to go see. We had a great stay.

Yelp
This is more like a 4.5 star rating but Yelp will not let me do that directly. We search for places to stay that have the ability to do room service (not something like doordash real on site room service). This place did not let us down. The food was good and served in a timely fashion with all the supporting items, real traditional room service. In addition I like a room with a tub and they had that too, and it was a deep enough tub where it worked like a tub. Next there was the ambiance of the room. It is hard to describe so I will add some pictures, lets just say you are not going to be disappointed. There is also a path to the beach, this place is right on the beach. So why not a 5 star? (How can they improve?) 3 items I find frequently: 1) If I pay more than $200 a night I need some premium TV Channels without commercials (Like HBO, Showtime, etc.) 2) There are over 4000 religions on the planet. If you are going to leave religious propaganda in a room leave it for all of them or none of them (loose the bible). 3) I always take a bath. Go sit down in a bathtub in one of your rooms and tell me "How am I suppose to use the soap and shampoo?". Bolting it to the wall for the shower people does not work for the tub people. Also you are missing out on some great marketing here. We still revisit places after we come across some of there small soaps or shampoo bottles from a past trip. Don't think of these items as consumables, brand them and think of them as long term marketing.

Yelp
Where do I begin? The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking. The room is gorgeous with amazing amenities. Customer service is impeccable. We are so pleased and will plan to stay here again.

Yelp
Oh my gosh.. what a wonderful 10/10 experience. From the complimentary upgrade to the limited edition room, complimentary wine bottle & snacks, & amazing service, this is a must for people looking for a beachside getaway! They even had free coffee, tea and water for guests. We also had a lovely bonfire moment as well they have starter kits sold in the gift shop. I will definitely be checking out their sister hotel in Cannon Beach. This is a hotel that invites you to stay, which is a must for any getaway!

Yelp
What a wonderful view and location for a wedding! I visited for my friend's wedding and stayed on the 3rd floor. Most of the rooms are accessed from outside with small flights of stairs. They have a 24 hour gift shop with Hallmark items, snacks and clothing. Beach access after a few flights of stairs. The neighboring restaurant Georgies has amazing Clam Chowder and the best service. They also have a nice pool, sauna and hot tub that is accessible from the ground floor or 4th floor. Always bring a rain jacket to the Oregon Coast! Thors well is about an hours drive away ok the coast and amazing.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel but what stuck out the most was the service. Everyone we encountered was lovely and helpful. Room service was ok but not outstanding. Would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
My husband and I came to Newport to enjoy and over night stay with friends. We saw there were rooms with spa tubs. We asked about them. After speaking to my husband about it we decided that after my upcoming cancer surgery in 10 days and I'm doing better by end of summer to come back and enjoy. We didn't realize until we got to the room they upgraded us. It was what was meant by the very nice check in staff by to relax before my surgery. Thank you so much. We will be booking our stays here for now on. Best hotel on the Coast.

K A.

Yelp
I was expecting so much more!! We have stayed here for many years and this will probably be our last. For the crazy price of $350 a night I expected to feel pampered. Instead when we came in there was dirt all over the entryway. Enough dirt to write in. Also, the tub floor was all rusted. It just felt dirty. A dog friendly room should have a hard surface floor, not a pee stained carpet. TOTALLY disappointed.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
Everything was amazing...the service, the rooms, we love that you can get a movie or game. We got the Newportopoly. It was so much fun to play. The room we got on the 5th floor had a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. It had 2 queen beds and a queen pull out sofa, 2 tvs, a small kitchen that even had a dishwasher, and a cute fireplace. Sorry didn't get pics of the room. We will definitely be staying there again. Also I do not like elevators and they have stairs. The coll thing is the lobby is on the 3rd floor, so no matter what floor your on there's not many stairs to get to where your going
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing experience, it was a birthday trip. When they found out they gave us sparkling apple juice, 2 buckets for the kids to play in the sand. A Message in a bottle for the birthday. Amazing service. Highly recommend.

Sierra P.

Yelp
We loved our wedding at the Hallmark Resort. Randi and Yesi are absolute professionals who made the wedding planning process a breeze. The venue was extremely accommodating, facilitating our perfect wedding. The food was excellent, and we greatly appreciated that the venue handles breakdown so that we didn't have to clean up on the night of our wedding. We also loved the little touches that made us feel special. We absolutely recommend this venue.
google avatar

Glenda H.

Yelp
Other than the ice machine being empty and finding a small bug in the bathroom it was a five star.
google avatar

Sherry L.

Yelp
My husband and have been using Hallmark as our go-to on the Oregon Coast in Newport for years. This trip was with my mother and sister and we're all handicapped. Not such a great idea to come with out without an "an able body person."we had so much help from Antonio. He brought all our bags in. Then Salvador brought or meals from Georgie's and he was so awesome. The food was so good too. The front desk is always happy and helpful. We thought we were getting an ADA room but was definitely not! They over charged us so called when I saw the amounts and they fixed it! Great customer service.

Corina B.

Yelp
I truly have never had a experience in any hospitality setting or business or guest setting the consideration from staff member Judy was the upmost kind and caring interaction I've ever had with a stranger even a staff member my trip was ruined due to weather traffic and just bad timing of events the entire day my partner and I came in later then expected and we were greeted with the most professional yet friendly hospitality it is truly amazing to be check into a resort by someone who loves the resort loves the town and loves there guest. We were welcomed and felt at home i wish I could continue to write how grateful and happy this experience was. From being informed with such cool knowledge of Newport its self and the resort we will definitely be coming back thank you so much .
google avatar

Sherry C.

Yelp
Our suite at the Hallmark was one of the BEST suites we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot!! When we arrived there was Champagne and a Sweet Happy Birthday message in a Bottle waiting for us. Our suite had a stunning ocean view, balcony, fireplace, mini kitchen and a jacuzzi tub!! Our bathroom was awesome with two separate sink areas and very spacious. Right outside the elevator downstairs are step to the beautiful beach. Make reservations for dinner at Their restaurant "Georgie's" right at the resort! It is the best restaurant in Newport with very friendly and accommodating staff!!

Lilysgma A.

Yelp
Beautiful room and view. Extremely clean, great pool, spa and sauna. Nice to have a wonderful seafood restaurant close by. Upon checkout. They gave me bottled water. Oh and there were many snacks in the room. I'll be back!
google avatar

Brandi D.

Yelp
It's hard to find a place that will accommodate my 3 dogs, especially my mastiff mix but Hallmark was amazing! The room was clean and big and the views were beautiful. My dogs loved their daily visits to the beach. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone traveling with multiple or large pets

Angel R.

Yelp
Never felt more welcomed in my life. Rooms outstanding, view even more. You can walk down to the beach and enjoy the view from your balcony. One of the best stays I had in Oregon.
google avatar

Jodi S.

Yelp
Stayed here with my boyfriend Shawn and ate at Georgie's. It was the place we had our first date 116 days before. Loved the restaurant and the hotel was so clean and comfortable.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
We wanted to stay for two days at last second notice somewhere along the coast and found the Hallmark Resort on Expedia, although all rooms were booked so we called. Luckily they had a room 1 room available the first night and a different room available the second night, so we booked it! Both rooms were really clean and comfortable with great views. The staff was so very helpful choosing our rooms and accommodating to our needs. We loved the spa, pool, sauna, showers, and store we could purchase ice cream, drinks, and merchandise! Great stay and would come again.
google avatar

Rebecca K.

Yelp
If you've got champagne tastes on a beer budget, this is the place to stay! For a very reasonable cost, especially on a holiday weekend, Hallmark Resort feels luxurious and high-end, with ocean breezes and views for days! Every room has an ocean view. Floors 2 and up have balconies. Ground floor units open onto the beautiful grounds. We had a third floor unit and couldn't have been happier. The rooms are not large, but they feel spacious because of the functional layout. From check-in to cleaning to room service, staff are accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They have a number of pet-friendly rooms with a reasonable pet fee. They also allow dogs larger than 45 pounds, which is an odd rarity along that stretch of coastline. Pets are accommodated in the lobby with treats, with swag in the form of a special water bottle, and all the love they can handle. The beach is an easy 5 min walk. That stretch of beach is mostly in front of hotels so there are relatively few people on the shore which makes it nice and relaxing. Georgie's, the on-site restaurant, is fabulous! We ordered to our room for dinner and breakfast and couldn't have been happier. The food isn't cheap, but if you want a treat the portions are filling, it's delicious, and the service is unmatched! Highly recommend, especially if you're traveling with your pup. We will be back for sure.

Susan B.

Yelp
We've stayed here a few times already. This time, we came for my birthday. The weather wasn't great, but the accommodations were. The room was clean with nice toiletries, a fireplace, and nice vaulted ceilings. I was surprised to be greeted with a few locally sourced, delicious birthday treats, a bottle of champagne, and a birthday message in a bottle! We were able to enjoy the treat in the warmth of the room with a nice view. We made use of the pool, sauna, and exercise room. The pool was warm and pleasant to swim, and the hot tub and spa were very relaxing. The exercise room had some extras in comparison to other hotels we've stayed at. They had a universal machine, nautilus, and a Pelaton as well as the other amenities that the average hotel offers. There is a nice sitting area with a fireplace in the main building as well as hot drinks to enjoy. Despite the weather, we truly enjoyed the stay and the hospitality of the front desk staff. Thank you for a great birthday!

Ashley C.

Yelp
We took our kids here for a little spring break trip. The staff was so friendly and kind. We loved that they had board games and puzzles to use. Our room was nice and clean. The view was beautiful. A lovely hotel in Newport.

Emily B.

Yelp
We absolutely love staying here. It's become our second home. Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Professional as well. Willing to go the extra mile to ensure we are comfortable each and every time. Incredible views, incredible food at Georgies, incredible staff. We will always choose to come here. Each and every experience here has been perfect. Thank you so much!

Astha O.

Yelp
I am deeply saddened by my last visit to Hallmark in Newport, Or. My family and I visit yearly and recommend Hallmark to everyone. However, we can no longer do that. We visited the onsite restaurant, as we normally do; we adore Georgie's. Two people were discussing someone working. The conversation between what I appeared to be management, both in business attire and nametags, was deplorable and tantamount to bullying.
google avatar

Alina P.

Yelp
My husband and I pulled into town pretty early (around 1:30pm), thought what the heck, let's call and see if we can check in early. We thought we were too early but they had clean rooms ready for us to go which was awesome after driving for so long. When we came in, they were really friendly and asked if we were celebrating anything-we said we're celebrating our 6 year anniversary, didn't think much of it and went up to our room. A few min later we get a phone call from the concierge asking if they could come up with some champagne. Concierge came in and was wonderful, delivering a complimentary bottle of champagne and this really cool "message in a bottle" in congratulations of our anniversary. This made us both feel so special. Also, the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the room is all so spectacular. I will say, this has always been our favorite place to stay in Newport but I had to leave a review because they've made our stay here so special. Thank you Hallmark, you guys have done it again!

Yelp
We recently stayed here for the second time, celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had a nice stay once before, and we were really looking forward to it! To start things off, we got there about 20 minutes early and asked if we could get to our room then and they said no. Okay, I understand that there are check-in times for a reason, and early check-in are not always possible. But they said that they would call us as soon as the room was ready. So we went around town and picked up a couple of things for our stay, and then just started heading back since we hadn't heard from them and it was after 4 o'clock. They checked us in and didn't mention anything about not calling us. The directions to the room that they gave us were really unhelpful. It was hard to figure out from the map and there aren't any clear signs. So my husband had to go back to the lobby to ask how to get to our room. The employee was super nice and walked him to the room so we'd know exactly how to get there. Upon entering, the room looked really nice! But as we looked closer... It was kind of a hot mess. The pillows on the sofa were torn, and the sofa itself was stained. There was trash between the sofa and the wall, as well as under the dishwasher. The refrigerator was only mildly cool. The towel bars in the bathroom were rusty. There was no fan in the bathroom, either, which makes sense then, seeing the rust on the towel bars. Our sliding glass door/windows were so dirty it made it hard to see the beautiful ocean view. Our TV cable was disconnected/off, and the box was behind the tv in a jumbled mess of cords. Luckily my husband is in tech and quickly figured it out. But still, someone else would've probably had to call the front desk to fix it. And while I DO want a clean hotel room, the bathroom smelled so strongly of bleach, it actually burned my eyes. (Again, a vent/fan in there would've been helpful.) Our second day there, they were doing some maintenance. I think they were pressure washing, I couldn't actually see, but I could hear it... For hours, and hours. It was really annoying. And then a couple of things that were beyond the hotel's control, but also kind of ruined our experience: the first night there, around 5am someone tried to enter our room from the sliding glass door. Thank goodness our dog scared him away! The second night a woman was screaming someone's name over and over... I assume it was either a lost child or a dog. It was really disconcerting and sad. (Though it seemed they found whoever they were looking for after a few minutes.) The next morning, someone let their dog take a giant dump literally 5 feet from our sliding glass door and decided to just kick some rocks over the poop. So then our room smelled really bad for the next few hours (because our window and slider were open to cool the room -- no a/c) and we didn't get to enjoy our outdoor seating for the rest of the stay. Again, I know that the hotel is not responsible for these things, but it really just added to a terrible stay. I will say this, the beds and pillows were comfortable. And that's important! And the extras (like 2 tvs, a fireplace, some plates/cups/utensils, etc.) were appreciated. The employees (especially the person who delivered our food from Georgie's and the other one who took us to our room) were super friendly and helpful. But for the price that we paid, I feel like these rooms should be kept up a LOT better. I feel like they should be at least $80 less per night based on our experience. Unfortunately we won't be staying there again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Yelp
By far, the best overall experience at a hotel. I travel for work more than 40% of the year. I'm in all the top tier loyalty programs. Frankly, a bit spoiled and particular. When I searched for a one night stopover on the Oregon coast with only a couple nights advanced notice that actually had availability for an ocean view balcony room- I stumbled on Hallmark Resort in Newport, OR. Thank goodness. Best welcome and customer service in a long time. Room was expertly cleaned. Welcome package was unexpected and thoughtful. The room was as advertised. The walk to beach was short. The sunset was stunning. But the BED! So comfortable - hit all the right attributes for me. I sat in the hot tub, perfect temp. Nearby restaurant was delicious. The parking was very close to the room and the town had much to explore. Never do all these occur in one location. Tremendous job, Hallmark. I hope I have some time in my schedule to make a trip back- just longer this time. Thank you.

Yelp
Great experience! Views from rooms are stunning. All rooms have an ocean front view. The bed was comfortable. It was our anniversary and they provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a bottle with a letter in it that had a cute congratulation and quote about marriage. Staff was pleasant, restaurant on site was delicious. All in all no complaints and we've already booked for another weekend.

Loved this place. Always friendly stuff and clean place. Easy access to the beach. We come here for years and loved it. View is amazing

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hallmark Resort! The staff were absolutely amazing and super helpful with suggestions for local attractions. They have a gym so we were able to get a workout in during out trip. They also have a pool and hot tub, but we didn't use those. We stayed on the top floor and had a beautiful ocean view and a fireplace. We got room service from the restaurant next door (yes you can get room service even though it's not in the hotel!) and had a nice, low key evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Yelp
Hallmark Resort at Newport is not a 5-star luxury resort with gold chandeliers, exotic toiletries, useless amenities, or a concierge with a cool accent. It is a 5-star Oregon Coast getaway for any dog lover ($25 daily charge) who wants to stay right above the beach with a warm fireplace and cool two-person jacuzzi tub in the hotel room. I loved: * the unobstructed quick beach access for a morning run * all the breathtaking views and photos * room service from the highly-rated Georgie's Beachside Grill She loved: * the beach and sunsets with a glass of wine * relaxing in the warm jacuzzi before bed * all the covid safety protocols from check-in to housekeeping Our dog loved: * the long flat beach for running & waves for playing * the fireplace for pooch and clothes to dry out * the welcome bag of treats, doggie bottle, and more All three of us loved our stay and can't wait to go again. Even though the Newport Hallmark isn't a 5-star resort, vacationing there on the Oregon Coast with your four-legged family member really is 5 stars.

Yelp
I am giving 5 starts because everything and everyone was absolutely amazing. From clean rooms, crisp bedsheets, and clean bathroom, even floors and toilet! Good job! Made my stay more special, not to mention glorious view from the balcony, lighthouse, fireplace. Highly recommending.

Yelp
We absolutely love The Hallmark! We've stayed a few times and it's always fantastic. The rooms are so nice and I love the little touches, such as the mini window that you can keep open to listen to the waves crash and get a small breeze. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and I love to just sit out there and enjoy the ocean air. The beach is also super big and accessible. We usually end up staying in March, so the fireplace is always blazing. It's such a great place to have a little relaxing getaway. In addition, the staff are fantastic and I really appreciated all the COVID precautions. They were all masked and everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently. They are currently taking reservations for the pool, which they do an excellent job of managing. Since we were also taking a break from all the cooking and cleaning we had to do at home over the last year, we ordered a fair bit of room service. The food is good and it's so convenient to order and have it brought to your room. We really appreciated having the restaurant so close by. Overall, we love The Hallmark and will continue staying here at least once a year.

Yelp
We stayed in a room on the first floor. We loved being able to walk out to the beach. The view was unparalleled. We went swimming and were the only ones in the pool. The pool was warm, which I loved! The room was clean, but I had no idea that pet friendly room meant it would smell so badly of dog. We were happy that the room had a fridge microwave and even a toaster. I would definitely return but not to a pet friendly room.

Yelp
They don't take Visa gift cards! We had a 60th Wedding Anniversary and our kids gave us Visa Gift Cards and we planned on using them. I was told when we checked in that their system wouldn't accept them. When a person called after we were in our room to see if everything was okay she told me they don't accept them because the Gift Cards charged them or us extra. Wish we had known ahead of time. We have a small dog so rooms are limited. They put us on the 3rd floor of 4 floors and if you don't mind hearing people walking above you or the door slamming next door you are okay. Not a Resort in my view. We like inside halls not drive to the door motel like rooms. The closet door was missing a roller so you had to strain opening it by pushing up on the door and risking a pulled muscle. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling. We paid over $450 for 2 nights in a mediocre smallish room for our 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. 50 bucks for room service 2 bowls of clam Chowder and 2 pieces of cheesecake which ran through us all night. Next time we will choose a real Resort. If we didn't have a dog and splurged for a fancy room and ate in the nice Restaurant it might be a better experience for others. Great views and easy access from our room to the dog potty area.

Yelp
They say about real estate it's about three things - location location location. The hallmark resort has location in spades. So incredible. Rooms are updated large and well appointed. Views in every room. The balconies have plexi so it cuts the wind but allows the view. We had the chance to see several rooms. The bigger one has a kitchen. It's nice but really no nicer than the standard. We had a standard with two Queen beds microwave fridge and keurig. My only complaint was the vending machine was fouling out so no Kate night soda runs. One of our party got cheesecake from the restaurant amd it was amazing.

Yelp
What a great place to stay! Honestly the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to the jetted tub. With the contouring in it, it was very slippery and hard to get out of (yes, I'm an older lady lol). But the views were great, service top notch and access to the beach a breeze! Georgie's was also very good! We spent 2 nights there on our trip up the Oregon Coast and I can honestly say it's the only place we said we'd return to.

Yelp
The STAFF IS UNBELIEVABLY NICE. Seriously, every person we have had experience with has been so kind and helpful. The room was very clean and well maintained. The views are incomparable. The soaking tub was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
They offer SO MANY awesome accommodations during COVID. The room was SPOTLESS, and clean! All of the staff was FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING! The Spa Tub was AMAZING! Room service (we didn't attend because we only stayed one night), but I believe there were takeout style and/or delivery options from Georgie's! (There's also I covered walkway to get over from the hotel). The view was beautiful. The rooms are non-smoking, but they offer a covered area in the parking lot for smokers. The gift shop is still open but it's regulated (one family at a time). You can schedule Pool time with the front desk staff! The thing that really stood out to me was the staff, even the night crew, they were all welcoming and positive! It really made the experience feel so much more connected with everything going on! We will definitely be coming back! H

Yelp
We stayed at the Hallmark recently for my birthday and to be honest, it was a nice surprise! Very clean and modern rooms with a fantastic view and access to the beach / ocean! The staff was exceptional and room service from Georgie's was great! Food showed up nice and hot! (We can barely get a warm meal where we live in Sisters, OR) I highly recommend this place if you're looking to have a nice relaxing ocean side stay. Thank you Hallmark! See you again next September!

Yelp
Great location. All of the rooms face the ocean. Staff was quite helpful. Hotel was a bit dated and not very clean. Room was more than $400/night. Regardless of the cost of the hotel room, we expect cleanliness. The room was advertised as having 2 queen beds, I think they were closer to full. We will be looking for other options next time we visit.

Yelp
While all the Hallmark Resort Hotel's we stayed in during our Oregon Coast trip were outstanding the Hallmark Resort Hotel in Newport, Oregon set the standard for room amenities, views and overall satisfaction. Once again it was apparent just how well trained the hotel staff are, especially the front desk staff. Their knowledge of the area and customer service was amazing, it's a large property by Oregon cost standards but you felt like they were your personal concierge. Newport, Oregon isn't Cannon Beach, Oregon and the restaurants were limited, so we thought we would try the restaurant associated with the hotel "Georgie's". It was an absolute disappointment, we appreciate that everyone is understaffed but the attitude we received the moment we walked in from the hostess was unbelievable, it was as if she expected us to be so grateful to be in her presence. Being polite is easy but clearly in in their job description, the food was average and not worth the aggravation. Aside from this one distraction our stay was exceptional, watching the sunset from our balcony was amazing, the beach is just below the hotel and spectacular to take an afternoons stroll on. Stay away from "Georgie's" but the staff, the views and the amazing rooms make Hallmark Resort Hotel in Newport, Oregon a must if you are going to tour the Oregon Coast.
