The quality of the costumes is less than mediocre. While you could still make that work with a lot of creativity, don’t make the mistake to ask for help. The staff seems to try to make it as unpleasant as possible for a customer. Bummer.

This place is amazing, from the selction of costumes, the to the knowledgeable staff, this is by far one on.thw best places for costumes and gifts. I came in looking for a Hobbit costume, and even though they didn't have the costume, they were able to help me piece together a whole outfit for the Rennisance faire. I got so many compliments on the costume. THANK YOU SO MUCH HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE!!!

Teach was awesome we immediately felt so welcomed and he was super insightful and happy to answer all the questions we had about costume makeup. They have a big selection of makeup, small prosthetics/effect pieces and facepaints. As well as a ton of costumes, props, and decorations. A must see for halloween fans as they host spooky events throughout the year as well!

Super cool store with lots of unique stuff located next to an awesome goth shop as well, both of which are well worth a visit.

OMG they literally have EVERYTHING. It's a one stop shop where you can get your Halloween done for good. Wigs, costumes, props, contact lenses, makeups, socks, headband, ribbons, horns, masks, you name it. I think the price is a bit high tho. But man you must see how crazy big this place is, I got lost in here.

I'm more partial to Abracadabra for both costumes and decorations, their selection is larger and there staff are friendlier. I still think Halloween Adventure is really cool, I usually visit both around Halloween or when I'm looking for something specific. They have a lot of novelty items, there's a kind of carnival or sideshow vibe in there. I love the odd artwork and pieces of furniture sprinkled about. They also have an excellent selection of bloody severed limbs - you won't find such great quality ones at Party City! Even pre-COVID, when looking for certain costume pieces they were out of a lot of things. Standard things, like evening gloves or tights, they'd be out of certain colors or styles. But if your costume needs aren't super elaborate they should have you covered. The staff know where everything is like the back of their hand - so ask. They were able to direct me to what I was looking for easily, and give me creative ideas on how to modify it.

Ummmmm so on October 11th while I was New York Costumes / Halloween Adventure checking out a couple of things & seeing few old friends.The whole time I was there nothing was said to me till later on in the night when I was talking to the security who happens to be a friend telling me that I'm banned & have been for the longest.That's news to me & to him which idk y I was banned in the first place.The first reason why I was banned was cuz of a bad review I had left on Gothic Renaissance on yelp which was many months ago & had nothing to do with HA.Now on October 12th I got a second reason y I'm banned & the reason is so fucking ridiculous that I can't believe it myself & this reason was that I tazed a customer in 2018.Somebody that works in this disgusting store had the balls to make up a LIE for no apparent reason & this trannie worker(no longer friends)chimed in & said "Yeah she did that".Few people I've told this to are in shock by this cuz they know it's NOT TRUE & NEVER HAPPENED @ all.I have contacted the manager since that morning(Oct 12th)& no response but even tho she's the one who said it to another worker to tell me.I called the store to talk to the Owner of the store,but he was running all over the store & doesn't talk on the register phone.The plot thickens at HA,later on I was told that the hiring manager who I thought was a friend was going around the store telling her co workers that she was avoiding me,gave them a reason & thought I knew about it & it happened before this absurd accusation.Last time I checked I gave that multi headed hydra her xmas gift last year & I thought to myself that I should cool it with going to the store a lot & let her work(giving space),so I don't know where she got the idea that she needed to avoid me.With all this being said & done I'm just curious with questions such as: Was this customer a female or make Did someone vid this on their phone What did the customer do that I had to take them Why wasn't I arrested for this right after it happened Why didn't I get fired right away How come I worked at the store 2 more times after 2018(2019 & 2021) How was I able to keep going to the store after 6 years Nothing adds up to this fucktarded accusations & no proof of this ever happened.These people that work there are just drama dwellers & petty ass people that can't focus on themselves cuz they're so caught up in bringing drama to their shitty minimum wage job.This why I don't support them.Now they're butt hurt cuz I made a post about what happened on social media that they wanted to bring in lawyers & posting about my TRUTH ISN'T ILLEGAL.Does this count as a lawsuit⁉...... Yelp doesn't like this cuz I had work "relationships" with the scumbags & my post is a no no

The store is in the process of re-building it's stock, it has had a few bumps along the way, but the manager staff is making it work. What it truly needs is all the goth-kids from the 90's who are grown up now, to come back with their families and introduce a new generation to a store many of us called our second home.

Thanks to customer service, I'm very satisfied. It just sucked that on such a hot day their top floor a/c was on the fritz. The young lady who helped us was really sweet. I love the amount of patience she had with us while we spent up to an hour looking around at all the cool stuff they had. I will say their prices are kind of expensive. I found myself comparing them to a lot of sites online. They have always been a little pricey. I do like that there is a upstairs and a downstairs. Everyone is so friendly here.

My all time favorite Halloween store and it is open all year round! Although the entrance is small you'd be pleased or even overwhelmed by all you can find in the store!! Luckily at the entrance there is a store map that can help you find what you're looking for. The staff in my experience has always been helpful, from getting things from storage, exchanges if something is damaged, or even holding my bag while I shopped for Halloween decorations for my job. Asides from decorations and props, they also have plenty of costumes, masks, wigs etc for any theme & they also have kids sections if needed. I bought a red cape and the quality asides from good was really warm. Definitely a 5star spot!

Halloween Adventure was quite an adventure (pun intended). I needed a last minute costume for a party on November 1. I only had a day to shop for my costume and there were very limited selections for Amazon's 'next day delivery' options. Also, none of the Party City's had the Dorothy costume that I wanted. Hence, I decided to bite the bullet and try one of the unique costume shops in the city. I came here on Halloween day itself (yikes!) but I was surprised how strategic and organized everything was. YES it was definitely chaotic but there were so many customer service reps making sure everything was running smoothly. I was assisted and the lady was very helpful and even made a friendly conversation with me. Very pleasant. I found my Dorothy costume and even the basket. The prices were only a little bit more expensive than Amazon but I was relieved they at least had it. You are not allowed to try on the costume but the assistants are allowed to open the package and show it to you. The only drawback to this place is all sales are final. I understand if it's on costumes but I wish they would accept a return policy on accessories. I think the basket with Toto in it was very cheap looking and I would like to return it. Anyways, besides this, this is definitely a place worth checking out should Amazon and Party City fail you.

This place is awesome! There's a ton of costumes, masks, and costume accessories. It's huge and there's 2 floors, so come prepared! The staff is surprisingly very helpful and overall friendly. Three things to note: 1) they don't let you try costumes on unless it's over $100. 2) they can't do holds-everything is first come, first serve. 3) everything is final sale. I loved this place. Anything costume wise I thought I'd nee they had!

OMG this place is fun! Whatever it is you're looking for I bet it's here. Really. There are costumes for everyone and about everything! I really didn't know what I was looking for, so I just started walking around the million? aisles. Tried a few masks on, chatted with a few staff members and loved every second. I finally decided on a Mardi Gras type of mask, I love it! The staff is super friendly and willing to help with any questions you may have. And, if you're up for it, they'll make great suggestions! Oh, don't leave without checking out the basement! Amazing Leg Avenue type costumes down there!

The place you must to visit if you fan of masquerades or just want to try become a new person! Seriously, here you can find all kind of costumes, masks, make up, accessories and decorations. Even you doesn't want to buy anything, you should to come for get a new experience of fun. I like that all of masks you can try, but you cant fit a costumes! This is disappoint, because you never can be sure how a costume looks on you. I bought some stuff for a Halloween here, and found out that employees are very knowledgeable. Thank you, guys! I had the best character on Halloween-party because of your place.

This is always a fun store to browse though when looking for a costume - from inexpensive Venetian masks to High End full body stuff. I was looking for something very specific here for the them of being a slave ala bondage, but alas they didn't really have many choices. I was looking along the lines of a leather mask, collar, and chain and bouncing back and forth from the Goth shop down the block I only managed to find a collar for $8 here. A better quality collar more in line with my theme was $40 at the Goth shop. Nonetheless, the prices are reasonable, the shop is well done - besides the cracked glass storefront along Broadway, it's very well organized for a place that packs a ton of costumes and (large) decorations. If you're someone like me who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a costume (that you'd probably not wear again) this is a good place to at least get some ideas. -And do so in September to avoid the rush of Halloween.

Buyer Beware. The owner does not care about his customers. I bought something here yesterday and was told that it could be exchanged for something of equal value in the next three days. I specifically asked "Can I exchange this if it's been opened and tried on?" They said "Yes." They usually will just do a "smell test." Great, I thought. I had bought another thing that I was definitely keeping but wasn't sure about this piece. That night I realized I would need to exchange it. The next day I came back and searched the store for something that was exactly the same price that I wanted to exchange it for. When I went to exchange it they said I could not exchange it because it had been opened! When I told the cashier what had been told me yesterday she said it doesn't matter that's our policy. I asked to speak to the manager - same answer. I asked to speak to the owner - same answer. Very dismissive tone. I asked if $20 was worth losing a customer - he just shrugged his shoulders. I understand this is the busiest time of the year but that's the business they are in. It's unfortunate that he would not stand behind his store or what his other employee had told me the day before. Will never be purchasing or visiting from this place again. There are other Halloween stores nearby (I.e Village Party Store on 8th street)

Halloween all year long, all day, err day! Great selection of costumes and accessories. Had just what I needed to put together my outfit for this year's Yelp Winter Break in AC party. Prices range from inexpensive manufacturer costumes to really expensive designer duds. They even have dressing rooms here to try on stuff which is great. Terrific friendly staff here too that are very helpful. If I worked in a fun environment like this I would be cheery and fun too. It's like letting your inner child run wild over two floors of wall to wall Halloween all year long. I can imaging Halloween season this place is a mob scene so shop accordingly. Costumes, props, decorations, masks, accessories - you name it and you can probably find it here. All sales are final though so make sure what you get is what you really want.

I needed a crown of ivy for a toga party. Not only did the first employee I asked know exactly where it was, but she was extremely apologetic that they only had green left, and were out of the gold. (I was only expecting green, but she thought gold would look better on a god such as myself.*) In addition to having such great service, Halloween Adventure is enormous. I don't think there is a store in the world with a more comprehensive collection of costumes and props. It runs all the way through the block, and they carry everything you could possibly need for theme parties, Halloween, or just general freakiness. Even though they employ around 15 cashiers during the weeks leading up to Halloween, there are still lines around the block. I would recommend hitting them up at least a month before Halloween if you want a costume. But no one ever thinks about that. It'd be like finishing a paper a week before it's due; we just don't have it in us. I must admit, I was a bit disturbed by the penholder. When I went to sign my credit card receipt, I was forced to pull a pen out of a tiny gentleman's rear end. I hesitated to reinsert it when I was done. I mean, this pen to his rear end was like a fire hydrant to mine. Traumatizing. __________ *She told me that. With her eyes, at least.

This institution in the East village will be closing its doors end of February. Go for one last visit before it's too late.

I love Halloween, and I love this store! From wigs, to every mask you can think of, passing through costumes, gags, hats, sunglasses, accessories, this place is the ultimate purveyor for your costume party shopping. I love that they divide costumes into sections so that you will find pretty much everything concerning an specific theme in one spot; there's a Roman/Gladiator spot, an Star Wars spot, a Dungeon/Sexy Costume spot (girl's pay attention) etc... Huge rental repertoire, with costume props gallore; want to dress as Napoleon Bonaparte, an Spanish Conquistador, or a full Knight in Shinning Armor? You'll feel just like in a movie, for $250.00 bucks. Or you can actually buy the props for $1,000.00 USD or less, so you can enact your crazy fetish fantasies, film ur own movie, or any other crazy prank that may strike ur fancy. The service is also worth the mention; the guys that work there are usually in costume, so guide yourself by the apron they wear (see pic) and by the fact that they carouse the store, yelling out loud "Do not wear the costumes and accessories, or else..." -half in jest, half serious; people do it anyways. One final personal touch is that the owner himself plays around in the store, trying out gags, costumes and just having a good time. Do check their life sized display mannequins; Frankenstein, Darth Vader and other seasonal characters; you may also stumble with a Yelper or 5, in full star costumes.

Tomorrow, I may be sporting a huge bruise on my left hip. No, not because I bought effects makeup at this one-stop super-shop, but because I took a bit of a spill leaving the store through its 4th Avenue exit. (I will admit I was distracted by my friend & the glow-in-the-dark ghouls in the foyer.) Fun, fun, fun @ this massive emporium of costumes. If you can imagine it, you can probably source it here. It's not cheap, but it is an "Adventure" as their name suggests. As for the "Halloween" part, I'm not sure because I think the store is open year round. (I went tonight for St. Patty's Day items.) Lots of laughs & amusement even if you go just to browse. (Hello cheap date!)

Okay....first let me give a shout out to the folks that told me "where" to go to look for Halloween props for a photo shoot concept I'm creating, but it was there suggestions that also has super charged my desire to find my Halloween outfit sooner rather than later. In the Talk area of Yelp, folks were kind enough to give me 2 places to search for snakes, bugs, bats, rats, and other such creepy crawlies.....Abracadabra Superstore AND the Halloween Adventure Shop. Being the fugal shopper than I am and the relative proximity of these locations to each other, I had enough time to check them both out this evening, but Halloween Adventure Shop was the winner - hence the review. First, Halloween Adventure Shop has a lot more items; though I have to admit that it may feel that way due to the smaller size of the store.....Abracadabra is huge and unfortunately more expensive from the items I priced. Pricing things like rubber snakes and rats, which at Abracadabra were a $1 for the exact same thing was a bit of a turn off and something that made me glad I shopped around and checked out Halloween Adventure Shop (HAS). Costumes were also much more than as HAS. In addition, HAS as many more "inexpensive" outfits and divided up into nice sections which makes it easy to figure what you want to be on that special night....a pirate...they have a section. Indian - check, Indiana Jones - check. Gladiator - check. Witch, vampire, Freddy K, etc....the list goes on and on. Abracadabra seem to have a lot more "complex/expensive masks and outfits and some truly insane props. Down stairs is a magic area and more items and folks are CONSTANTLY asking if you have a question or need help throughout the store which was much less at Abracadabra and some didn't even ask me just watched me. NOTE: You may be inclined to just keep you eyes straight and down, but look up! Items are stacked as high as 10+ feet above you. They do have a costume rental section and they take credit cards (amazing because they really only get volume once a year, yet bars I frequent weekly only take cash WTF?). Very close to the Union Station Subways (R/W/6/5/4/L/N....and I'm sure a few more). So if you are looking to get your freak on....at least from a Halloween perspective, Halloween Adventure Shop is your one stop shop!

They too have everything you could want but not cheap. I got a pair of fangs (reusable) for around $20 ! They have a ton here & the staff is very knowledgeable ! Will visit again

This place is truly a Halloween mecca extending from Broadway to Lexington on 11th street. Really an entire damn avenue? And not just an avenue but one that is located on two floors. This place is ginormous. You know a Halloween store means business when you walk in and they have a damn map sitting there for you. And this map was legit as hell with a listing of over 30 categories of specific stuff. If you get confused by the map or just want suggestions the employees are so helpful and asking everyone if they need assistance. They will direct you to props, boots, full bodied costumes, masks, makeup, hooker boots, wigs, or fairy frigging princesses if that's your business. Seriously just tell them what you want to accomplish and someone will be there to help you. Although it gets busy as you approach Halloween because most dumb-asses are waiting until last minute you have to be impressed that they have everything you could ask for in terms of Halloween gear. Oh you want to be a 70's disco person? Well, choose from about 12 different options and tons of accessories. Oh she needs flapper gear but the one that is sort of like a tux but not really (this was a super general explanation we gave) how about this thing right here, sir? YES! YES! YES! that's it. A few things to keep in mind though. 1) Be aware of is if you want to try on a wig you will need a wig cap or they make you purchase one for $3 and 2) lines can get long at certain registers but if you dip away from those you can usually find a much shorter line at a different one either downstairs or at the other end of the store. I only wish I didn't have to make the trek from Boston for this place. Oh and its right by Ippudo so you can also make a pit stop for some amazing ramen while over here.

I clearly need to venture out in the neighboring neighborhoods that sit near my neighborhood. Shame on me. This place is humungo. Legit. A friend in BK told me about this place. It had everything. Masks, costumes, gags, props, you name it. I like that this is open year round. It is more of a Halloween themed store but people have masquerades and dress up parties all throughout the year. It's a maze though, but a maze that I welcome. This will be my go to. Affordable and convenient. Win.

How is it this store has so few reviews? There's so much to see, so much from which to choose! You can come here to browse or shop or play, Come and be a kid again, put your problems at bay. There are 2 floors of fun; the store takes up one full city block, You could spend all day here, and still not see all the stock. Come alone, or with friends. Or hell, my favorite is to bring a date! Just don't take any pictures, or the staff will hate. There's ghosts and ghouls, and mythical creatures of all sorts, Pirates, priests, policemen, and witches with warts! Slutty, cool, humorous or scary, Within each collection, the assortment will vary. Wigs, hats, masks, and props galore, It's 360 halloween, even shop for décor! There's a proper makeup counter, for stage or for street, Prosthetics and blood, all sort of SFX, its pretty damn neat. They have things that range from cheap to expensive, And rentals for you serious folks, don't get apprehensive! If you're a student and poor, they take that into account, Show them your ID, you'll get a small student discount! Lastly they're open all year long, You have no reason, not to come along. So start preparing yourself for next Halloween! They'll help you in bringing out inner drag queen!

Nice place to get unique sunglasses or a random Halloween accessory but I generally find it overpriced on costumes (as I do pretty much any Halloween store). Browsing in here to kill time isn't bad but be aware that you can't take pictures in there. Staff have also been known to ambush you at times but when you are actually in need of help, they tend to be on point & know if they have XYZ item. I view it as more of a place to get ideas for a good Halloween costume since it gets too crowded around Halloween & they never have day after Halloween sales.

Great selection, but they don't let you try on any costumes under $100 and as a 5'9"-5'10" female that means I will not be coming here again! Also could not find many accessories here -- better off going next door to the Gothic place!

Halloween in January?! Finally! No matter the time of year, if you are looking for a costume, you can find something at Halloween Adventure. There is a wide variety of costumes in all price ranges and touching on many different themes. I went to a costume party at the end of April and ended up buying a costume here just a few hours before the party. Found something decent, in an appropriate price range for something I only planned on wearing once, and got it. The staff was very helpful. I do wish there was a bit more variety for each "theme" but if you aren't too specific with what costume you are looking for, you will definitely have more than enough options here.

Huuuge And amazing shop with lots of choices !! For dogs, babies aswell .. Accessories, masks, make up and magic.. Cette boutique est gigantesque. Une partie de sous sol est reservé a la magie et la lumiere. Sinon un énorme choix de costumes ( les prix varient... ) des accessoires, des masques, du maquillage , chaussures. Pour les enfants , bébés et animaux aussi. De la deco halloween digne des films americains qu'on voit a la tv !! Ça vaut le detour .

This store is huge! It extends between 2 avenues and has 2 floors. But in spite of all of that space, on the day before Halloween, every square foot was occupied by someone either looking for a costume or standing in line to purchase a costume. In fact, people were lining up on the street just to enter the store. Madness. All I needed was a simple mask to cover my eyes for a masquerade ball which was surprisingly easy to find amidst the chaos. But in the very long line, I did see some pretty clever costumes, and they offer plenty of elaborate flare for rent like coffins and zombies. If Halloween is your holiday, you have to stop here. Recommend.

This is the store to visit when I'm New York City. With an entrance on Broadway and a store taking the entire block all the way to 4th Ave, plus a basement, if you don't find it there, you won't find it anywhere. The employees are usually very stylish and knowledgeable, but can be very cold and limit rude. However, they are efficient and know their thing. This store carries adults and children costumes, makeup, wigs, props, statues, and some of their costumes are so good, you could wear them on a daily basis. Of course the prices are higher than online purchases, but you get to take them home right there and then. If you're clueless about Halloween, go there and let your mind be blown. Wonder around and discover the crazy and exciting world of coplay and costume parties.

Very happy with this year's Halloween costume purchase! This place is HUGE. Two stories PACKED with costumes, masks, accessories, decorations, this is definitely your one-stop shop for all things Halloween. Walked in NOT knowing what I wanted to be, and walked out with a cute costume for $50. Expect to spend $50+ per costume (unless you're purchasing for a child or accessories). I was being super cheap trying to find something less than $50, but was unsuccessful. The staff is really nice and definitely helpful (it's really easy to track down someone.. they're all over the place), but they kept stressing customers NOT to open the packages on their own. Understandable since some customers are careless and tend to damage or stuff the costume back into its package without being considerate.

Brought my client here to help her find an angel of darkness costume for her office Halloween party. It was a Monday and it was already pretty packed. They have all sorts of costumes, the place is huge as it goes from Broadway to 4th ave between 12th and 11th streets. The place has two entrances on each side of the avenues. It was a lot of fun and my client found her perfect costume, I can't wait to see her wear it! Definitely the place to go for a great Halloween costume.

A costume shop, pure and simple here. No refunds, so beware what you buy... all kinds of plastic and molded costumes, with masks, popular sci-fi/fantasy things, nurse/school girl outfits, police costumes, etc. A bit expensive for something you'll wear maybe once or twice, but hey, I guess everyone has an itch to be something different. A couple stories, two entrances, too. Gets very very busy around Halloween... get your costume early. They don't really have sales until after Halloween.

My all time favorite and go to spot for getting my Halloween gear. From costumes and accessories to decor and props, this place out does any other store in NYC. The sales associates are always knowledgeable and friendly. If you have never been here, it is a must see. They selection here will beat any other.

A sad disappointment from what this place used to be. It has transitioned into something resembling a Party City but with higher prices and less options. Don't waste your time or money. Instead head a few blocks north to 21st and hit up Abracadabra.

REALLY fun and huge store - lots of great costumes, accessories and some really beautiful items like the high end masks. I went with a performer who needed a mask for a concert and we had a huge selection to choose from. The employees are a little ghetto and some are a little obnoxious. I overheard (hard not to since she was loud) one employee telling some people "No photos of the merchandise, once more and you're out of here." I looked for sign on the way out but didn't see any notice. Thankfully I didn't try to take photos.

Rent or buy, this place really does have it all. It spans the length of the block (from 4th ave to Broadway), and has everything from costumes, latex, face paints, shoes, decorations... you name it, they got it. If they don't have it, they'll GET it. The service is great and the staff is knowledgeable. They helped me and my 3 friends find the Wizard of Oz costumes to run a road rally from NYC to Detroit. With all the Halloween pop-up shops in NYC around October time, this place still has my loyalty and patronage. You guys rule!

Omg!! The coolest store ever! So many gory costumes! You can get anything here all year long. Plenty of cosplay stuff too and for those attending comic con, this is the best place to go!

LOVED THIS PLACE SO MUCH! They have an amazing variety of costumes, masks, etc. I found so many options and the attention that I received was great. I am a very indecisive person so I had to ask the lady a couple of times to show me the costumes and she did. Would definitely come back. I even got my Mulan costume that I've been looking for years now! Definitely way better than spirit and party city

This store is sooo cool. It's huge inside. And it's decorated like a dungeon in some parts of the store. The staff are dressed in black and have strange make-up...but they're all very nice. They have, among other things, a surprisingly wide selection of pirate hats. This is the place to go for all your Halloween needs. They've got costumes for pets!!

Went here a couple of times to pick up some make up for a costume and another time for some fangs and another time for some blood. Workers walk around and ask you if you need help with anything. There is tons of stuff everywhere and you probably will need their help. They will usually just point you in the right direction. The blood and fangs where behind a counter. There is usually someone already behind the counter to help. No one has really been rude to me. I haven't visited around Halloween days...maybe thats the crazy time. The cashiers tend to be nice and cute. They have tons of stuff. And its really cool stuff. Not poor quality stuff either.

Final sale on everything. You know why? They don't want you to be able to return overpriced crappy poorly sewn made shit costumes. This is my second Halloween coming here. The first time the costume was shit but I thought they might be able to redeem themselves. BUT NO. A pair of gloves that came with my costume looked like they were sewn by a blind child, HEY IT PROBABLY WAS. While there are plenty of associates walking around asking if anyone needs help, no one really seems like they know what they're doing.Some of them were so rude by first completely dismissing my questions by saying oh yeah I'll check and then never answering even though I asked again or by being completely rude to other sales people. Two sales people got into a weird angry exchange and I was standing there awkwardly. BUT BESIDES all the rudeness, the costumes are complete shit don't come here unless you want to be ripped off.

First of all they had literally more than 10 people "working" in this store, aka hanging out cursing and flirting. I waited on one line for almost 10 minute before being told "I'm helping this customer, if you don't want to wait forever you should go to another register." Went to other register where the girl working there was more focused on counting pennies and flirting with the guy standing uselessly beside her to successfully check out even 3 people in under FIFTEEN MINUTES. Dropped my purchase on the shelf, said F it, this customer service sucks, walked out. I'll go give my business to a big box halloween store instead. Shame, because I wanted to do business with this place because i like shopping local and this store looks so cool.

SUPER RUDE EMPLOYEES!! Pretty cool store but wanted to buy magic stuff, went down stairs and was told by the heavy set employee "Don't not touch anything" and was bullied to go back upstairs and leave. Sucks.

To Whom It May Concern- My name is Christae Evanson- I came into your store today right as it opened and overall had a relatively good experience, though I did want to point out my dissatisfaction with some customer service. I did interacted with one african american female employee who was incredibly rude to me, unfortunately. I wish I had asked her name, because I was shocked how rude she was. I wanted to make you aware that it really took away from my experience. She was carrying a costume toward the 1950's sock hop style costumes around 11:45-12pm or so and her apron was not visible, so I asked if she worked there, since not all employees were wearing aprons and it's a bit confusing to see who works there and can help you and who doesn't. I didn't see her radio and she rudely rolled her eyes at me, gave me a dirty look and didn't actually verbally say yes or no to me... just pointed to her apron basically indicating 'What does it look like to you?!'.. then rudely verbalized that she did, with clearly no intention of helping me, until I walked away and she called after me. I was about to ask about a costume piece, but I was so flabbergasted, I told her that her apron wasn't visible for me to know if she did or not and walked away. I was really planning on leaving then and there, but I waited it out and stayed far away from her the rest of my visit. After that, I had super customer service at the contacts area and also in the makeup area, after which I spent $88 on costumes/makeup in your store and $29.99 on contacts. Clearly, you have some great employees, but truly one rude person in a store such as yours really ruins the experience. Why? Costume hunting should be joyful and fun, not an environment where your employees treat customers like they're stupid. I am involved in theatre in the area and your store is an asset to the community. I was SO excited to walk in today! It's truly phenomenal all the offerings you have and I was excited to share about it on social media, which I did before I entered. I simply wanted to make you aware so perhaps it wouldn't happens again to another customer this Halloween season. Best, Christae

Even if your creative juices are running low, rest assured you'll have plenty to work with as you peruse aisle after aisle of costumes and accessories. Though I'd already settled with an idea for a costume, I wasn't committed to whether or not I should rock a mask, tiara, or both. It didn't help that there are so many other fun costumes to choose from, you could easily get detracted from said goal. You'll find the run of the mill costumes here, from creepy clowns to seductive superheroes, Halloween Adventure delivers! What sets them apart are their extensive selection of accessories: the hats and masks alone are worth the trip. Pro tip: If you're feeling fancy, they carry some very flashy tiaras and exquisite mardi gras masks. You'll look like the diva you are :) The only caveat is their store policy remains: no refunds or exchanges. If you're pressed for time and in need to put together a costume within 24 hours, you've found the right spot. And when in doubt, phone a friend or ask any of the friendly staff :)

I've been to Halloween Adventure so many times over the years for costumes for dance productions and also for Halloween of course. Today I was cranky & tired, but had to pick up some wigs before the craziness of Halloween. Sapphire was an amazing help to me in the wig section. She was attentive, funny, and gave me some great ideas about what I should do for my unicorn costume to make it as awesome as a costume judge should look. She's also a make up artist and gave me some great ideas for how to look the part and still look cute. Can't wait to go back next week and get the rest of my stuff. Really made my day!
