Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary

Thrilling tour to the 200 years old prison! Old ruins of cameras, remarkable cell of Al Capone and all that haunting environment makes it unforgettable.

We had such a blast! Spent about four hours walking through the haunted houses, doing the audio tour, walking through the museum, and enjoying a couple of drinks. Worth the price for all that we got from it, especially knowing that it helps keep the museum going. Fun for people who want scary (wear the glow necklaces!) and also fun for those who love Halloween but don’t want to have a super scary experience.

An absolute blast at any age! I screamed so much I had a sore throat the next day. Decent food and drink options, more real food vs sweet treats would be nice, but plenty of craft beer and cocktail options. Definitely spend the extra to do the VIP experience and see Al Capone's cell block, exclusive entertainment, tarot card reading, Blackjack table, and more.

Wasn't Halloween, but visited the old penitentiary in July. Very interesting and worth your time. Alot of information and history shared on the self-guided tour.

Not only the best haunted house attraction in the world but absolutely the most amazing workplace environment I've ever experienced. It's also a fundraiser to help with accomplishing historical preservation. This building was also rated the second most haunted building on the entire planet in 2024!

My family and I had a great time at Eastern State Penitentiary last weekend for Halloween Nights. We parked at the zoo parking lot and took a bus right to the front gate. This was so much more convenient than trying to find our own parking and it was surprisingly quick. We loved each of their haunted houses and definitely got scared. Even when we were just walking down a long hallway lined by cells we felt scared, like we were being watched. My favorite part was the speakeasy and being able to go into the cells. There was even a “ghost” doing magic tricks. Next year we may have to try getting the glow necklaces so we can be extra scared. We have done Terror Behind The Walls here years ago which we did like, but this was so much better. They used such a large area of the penitentiary and it was really cool being able to walk around and see everything. We definitely want to come back for a daytime tour and for next year’s Halloween Nights.

This is a great place to take teens, and people who are easily scared: only because each course was definitely entertaining, but not as scary as many had mentioned it. Despite this: loved the location, the staff, and venturing through an old prison! They had many areas to get snacks, drinks and desserts. You can choose to pay for the parking lot, but it is 8 minutes away, plus another 8 to come back. Even though we paid for parking, we ended up parking literally on the same block at the main entrance! So we saved a lot of time by doing that.

I've been to the Eastern State Penitentiary for Halloween events several times, and unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the recent changes. It’s just not as scary as it used to be, and the atmosphere feels different. They’ve added a lot of new attractions like the s’more station and beer garden, but many of these come with additional fees, which really takes away from the experience. It feels more like a money grab now, and I don’t think I’ll be going back. It used to be so much better when the focus was on the scares.

Hey there, folks! So, I gotta tell ya, Halloween Nights at Eastern State Prison - it's definitely a four out of five stars kind of deal. This place has got it goin' on. Picture this: several haunted houses, each with its own unique spooky theme, and let me tell you, they've really gone all out on the scare factor. Now, what's a good scare without a bit of liquid courage, right? Well, they've got that covered too, with several beer gardens and food areas. You won't be going hungry or thirsty, that's for sure. But what really sets this place apart are the little nooks and crannies where you can take a load off around campfires. And the live shows - dancers, singers, and storytellers - they add that extra oomph to the experience. Now, here's the kicker, the absolute coolest part: they've turned Al Capone's actual prison cell into a speakeasy. But here's the bummer, it's VIP only. If that were open to the regular public, this place would easily be a five-star joint. And speaking of layout, here's a little suggestion: they should let you kick off the night with a drink in Al Capone's speakeasy rather than saving it for the very end. That'd be the cherry on top. So, in a nutshell, Eastern State Prison on Halloween Nights - it's a really, really neat experience. If they made that speakeasy accessible to everyone and mixed up the timing a bit, it'd be a solid five stars, no doubt. But for now, it's a four-star haunt you don't wanna miss!

So disappointed I had wanted to go for years and was so excited to be going Halloween Night. To me this was not scary at all. Given the back drop of an abandon prison there was so much potential to be scary. There were 5 haunted house not one was prison themed. They would have done better to have one amazing haunt. Haunts were short and there was not much there. They did have a nice S'more area, outdoor music and lounge area. Would have been great for a Halloween inspired night out but not at $40/$50 dollars depending on whether you order ahead of time online. Would have enjoyed the outdoor entertainment more had it not been raining. To me if you want a great haunt go to Haunted Overload in New Hampshire. Eastern State Penitentiary was Just not my cup of blood. Sad as this had so much potential. Very disappointed as someone who lives Halloween.

I went here maybe 12 years ago when it was Terror behind the walls and wow, what an upgrade! I remember it was very limited back then but still fun. They have 5 haunted houses included in the regular ticket, but VIP access gets you into Al Capones cell and other attractions, it was over $50 a ticket with fees so to pay $75 plus to get into his cell is a little much, I agree with another yelper that should be for everyone. The price of drinks was high too considering it was 95% juice. I didn't try the food but the popcorn smelled good. The attractions were definitely scary, we didn't have glow sticks as I heard they lock you in cages and grab you haha. But hey if that's your thing. The scary stories by the fire with a s'more was such a nice way to end the evening! I was with a group of 7 and everyone had a great time! The parking at the zoo for $20 and getting bussed over is alot on top of price of ticket. I saw street parking near by. They had live music and the lights, set up. It was a lot of fun, we were there several hours and I don't think we. Saw it all, lots to do there! Definitely recommend!

Went to Halloween Nights @ Eastern State Penitentiary on a Wednesday evening, and it was packed! There were 5 separate "haunted houses" or sections to walk through. The themes included a machine shop, crypt, nightmare, 3D hallucinogenic vibe and Circus/clowns. Each haunted house took ~5 minutes to walk through depending on your speed. You could choose to wear a glow necklace (which you can keep) if you are ok with actors touching you. Overall, the decorations and actors were very impressive. I especially liked that every haunted house had a special effects tunnel (3D spinning room, green fog walk through where you can't see the floor, etc). I also appreciated the emphasis on safety (metal detectors and bag checks at the entrance) In addition to the haunted houses, there were a few other outdoor sections like "scary stories and s'mores" where someone was telling scary stories and there were fire pits set up + s'mores for purchase. Also had a Bizzare Bar if you wanted to buy a drink. Why I only gave it 3 stars: 1) expensive. I found a $3 off promo code, but retail price was ~$40 for a ticket 2) crowds - you had to wait in line for ~15 minutes for each haunted house. Also, the staff let people in too close together, so the party ahead of you ruined whatever "scare" was around the corner

My group and I had a blast. Coming from out of town to a new place and city to check out a new haunted house was a great experience for us. We did not get VIP so I cannot speak on that, however with the general admission it was still worth every penny. I appreciated that they offered another tour separate from the halloween attraction to learn about this history of the prison which is a great experience. It was a self guided tour with audio/headphones given to you to walkthrough. The only disappointing thing was the "Opt-in grab a glow stick for a scarier experience". My boyfriend didn't get grabbed except 1 time where they just had him crawl through small hole that led right back to the group, no matter how many times he walked through. Seemed as though it was geared to the teenagers or kids. My friend's boyfriend was grabbed twice but was only kept in another room for a minute. The liquored drinks were a little pricey as well. The beers were fairly priced. We enjoyed the little story telling smore's area. The dancers and singers did absolutely amazing.

I guess I had a little better experience than everyone. I'm not one to fuss on time slots, cause in the end it looked like everyone got in time to check out the haunted houses. The flashlight hospital was the highlight, I think I may have caught something in one of the photos taken in an operation room . I liked the VIP area where you can listen to Electro Swing and even hear some characters themselves sing near Al Capone's cell. But, since I was expecting a complimentary drink, I thought it would be a cocktail or straight hard liquor- nope, just hard seltzers and beer were your only options. I would visit again, it was a surreal experience.

We grabbed 6:30pm tickets which I'd highly recommend. I was concerned that maybe it would be too early but it worked out perfectly. It gets so crowded after 8pm, when we walked out, the line to get in was around the corner of the block. Not only do you not want to wait that long, it's also not thrilling walking in the exhibits with huge crowds as it reduces the level of scare even further. Halloween Nights consist of 5 exhibits, all inside the penitentiary. One of the five looked like a neon art museum, nothing really scary about it. Apparently, precovid, it used to be called Terror Behind the Walls. Since 2021, they renamed it Halloween Nights. I don't know if it's because I went with a new crowd or I simply matured since last I've been to a scary attraction but I wasn't scared. I don't think I even flinched once. There are people who pop out of nowhere but you can almost see it coming. The theatrics and decor inside each exhibit were well thought out. The exhibits that have you walk down actual cell halls is quite fascinating but I felt like I was on a field trip for art/history class. There are some food options such as pizza and funnel fries for additional cost. I tried this pumpkin non-alcoholic drink which is the best non-alcoholic drink I have ever had. All in all, not scary, they need to elevate it more.

I've come every year, and this year was very underwhelming. I noticed now that the event was Halloween nights instead of terror behind the walls, which is fine. The attractions lasted maybe seven minutes max- if you walked at a normal pace. The actors don't really interact with you anymore. Members of our group had the glow stick necklaces (which meant they can grab you and separate you from everyone else) and were only interacted with once. Comparing the GA & VIP from my experiences in the past and now, the only perk of VIP is skipping the line to get in which wasn't even long to begin with and Al Capones cell with added beverages. In my opinion, I'm truly happy I did not buy VIP this year. I remember coming here and truly being scared because of the history but also with the great work that was put into this event. It was a a tradition with my group to come every year, but now I'm not so sure if I will return.

This was a fun place to check out as a spooky Halloween attraction, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. First, tickets are $34-49 based on day of admission for general admission, and you can pay $30 more for VIP. You book a timeslot, however, you'll still have to wait in line and won't necessarily get in at the time on your ticket. The premises are very cool and full of history, and I really enjoyed the audio tour explaining the history behind the place. They even discussed issues of mass incarceration in the US, which was nice. After the tour we walked around, and there are lots of actors who are milling about and try to scare you. We didn't go in the haunted houses, since they just sounded like jump-scares, but we did see the kaleidoscope walk (a more eerie feeling cell block). At one of the bar areas, we watched some people dressed as skeletons dance, but it was a bit underwhelming. Not to mention, even with a $50 ticket, you don't get any food or drink (not even the s'mores at the storytelling area). It's also a bit disappointing that you have to pay $30 extra for VIP to see Al Capone's cell, but perhaps I'll go back another time for a regular tour. All in all, we had fun, but it's expensive and requires you to pay much more money to get the full experience.

Not one scream and I'm a screamer. Every exhibit seemed like there was no to little staff and they seemed bored. They seemed like there was a lack of staff you would go through a whole exhibit only to be greeted by a lackluster monster. I waited years to return here after I read reviews they added so much and it was much scarier. Save your money the haunted mill on Main Street was $25 and was way scarier.

seems to be trending downward, Terror behind the walls was 5 star, Halloween nights lost some scare factor but was still an overall good time. This year now has me concerned about next year. From start to finish. The VIP Price is out of control!!!! don't mind paying but make it worth it! Security seemed to think they are actually working in a prison, i mean i appreciate being safe from weapons and such but they damn near strip searched a few folks. The scare factor was missing, the great dance show entertainment was missing, the previously tasty drinks were disgusting. I didn't get scared or spooked at all, not even once! did i enjoy it? of course, Philly during Halloween is awesome but i certainly didn't get my $89.00 worth per VIP ticket. I had such a great Halloween season across 4 states that i really didn't realize how empty ESP left me till just now so I'm removing another star. 2 other smaller, cheaper (by Far) places nearby outclassed ESP this year. If that happens again in 2024 ill never go back, Fingers Crossed.

I saw this on a list of Halloween 2021 things to do, and was interested. We've been to Eastern state for their haunted attractions a couple times before and really liked it. So when I saw they were offering The VIP option which included 2 drinks- one from "The Speakeasy" at Al Capone's cell and one from the bloodline lounge - I had to do it. My husband and I love going to speakeasy type bars and getting craft cocktails. I should have known it was too good to be true I guess. First we went through a couple haunted attractions inside the Penitentiary. They were decent but were pretty short. About 5-10 minutes for each one. I then thought we were at the VIP bar part but it was a different beer garden/lounge where they wanted you to pay for drinks. No thank you. We then got to the s'mores area which looked cool. I thought they would be included since we got the VIP but no they were $4 each. It didn't have any graham cracker either it was just the marshmallow and it was stuffed with either an Oreo, peanut butter cup, or plain? They should have been like $1 I thought. It drips all over the place too when you try to eat it so half if it either dripped on the floor or napkin. They should have gave you paper plates or something to eat with. I was looking for the gargoyle gardens to see the dance performance- people dressed as skeletons do it every half hour. It was very cool- and the dancers come up to you and dance with you too in between performances which was fun. The bloodline lounge was disappointing. It was just some tables outside , it wasn't really a lounge. And you only get a choice of Cabernet wine, soda, or some vodka cranberry mix, or some kind of food. They give you the smallest amount too . My friend wanted to get some water and they were gonna make her use her drink voucher on it so she said forget it. Then I saw someone else with some different drink with a syringe shot attached. I think they said they knew the bartender, so I guess you get special treatment if you know someone there. We finally got to the Speakeasy at Al Capone's cell. The drinks that were included were disappointing again. The choices were beer, seltzers, wine, or soda. Kind of misleading because when I hear Speakeasy I think of cocktails. I know they can't go all out and make complicated cocktails with a ton of ingredients. But they could of at least had some pre made cocktails to choose from. Like the other bar that wasn't included with the VIP had some pumpkin bourbon cocktail that seemed good - why couldn't we have gotten that? We had fun inside the Speakeasy section though. They had different cells that were furnished with decor from the 1920s that you could go in and sit down and have a drink so that was cool. They had someone reading tarot cards In one of the other cells. And someone was playing blackjack with people in another cell. The workers were dressed in 1920s costumes too. Overall I'm glad we went and we had fun. But I don't know if it's worth the price- we won't go back if it's there another year.

I was forced to go here against my will Be warned, you are clearly just making a donation to Eastern State financially. If you want to help support them then go and enjoy yourselves. If you don't care about that, then save your money and go elsewhere. This is not supposed to be a scary night out. The setup was confusing as I was told you can't go back to certain areas. At the time, we didn't want to drink right away, so we skipped some places. We upgraded to VIP to "skip the lines", but also to get access to Al Capone's speakeasy and some other free drink. The first "free fifteen dollar" drink was soda, wine or some cocktail. You could get a snack too. I went with a wine, contemplating how my life brought me to being at this place. A friend was going to get a water, but they said that's your free "fifteen dollar" drink, so in keeping with the theme, I think she just died of thirst there. Al Capone's at the end was the best. We hung out in cells, played blackjack, there was a tarot reader, and just a nice chill way to kill some more time.

First, shout out to the guy who was manning the line to the room with the rules. You really had us fooled when you were hyping up the event talking about how there was Live music! Dancers! A speakeasy to chill from all of the excitement! I think by live music, he was referring to the two guys who were banging on a metal trash can and one of those drum shaped cones you see at construction signs. And by dancers, he meant the people dancing to basic pop music wearing generic skeleton costumes you can buy at Target. Biggest waste of $80 in my life! Yes, $80 (for VIP). For $80, you get to skip the lines so that you can go through less than 30 minutes worth of lame attractions faster and so you can have really basic drinks. Drink #1 was a vodka cranberry I could have made at home. There was no attempt to even give the drink a name that would match the spirit of Halloween. Literally just a "vodka cranberry". The second drink was a hard seltzer. The options were either that or a basic local beer. On Halloween a couple days after going to this, I saw people walking down the street in the skeleton costumes the "dancers" were wearing and was filled with a combination of PTSD and anger over my wasted $80. The only semi-cool thing was the speakeasy but really only because it was in former jail cells and because of some of the history of the jail that they shared. But I would have preferred to go to Eastern State on a normal day to get the full story. There were a couple visually interesting and artistic attractions but nothing was even remotely scary or eerie. From what I've heard, Terror Behind the Walls was much better than this. Will not return unless they bring back Terror Behind the Walls

Went this past Saturday and it was so much fun! I love that you can just explore the areas now and not just get pushed through a set path. Plenty of places for snacks and drinks and the creeps were top notch. Spent 4 hours total. 10 of 10 would recommend!

I came here with a couple friends and it was a blast! I totally recommend opting in for the glow stick/touching experience, makes it 100% worth it. The staff/scare actors were absolutely wonderful, totally awesome, you could just feel the energy and how everyone was just having a good time. The actual haunted attractions-- which are set up as separate houses that you could pick and choose to enter--were not scary, in my very novice opinion. I will admit, I was a little disappointed with some of the attractions, there was definitely some wasted potential in areas. Either way, if you're a fan of all things horror, there were some pretty cool animatronics and gore type things. As for lines/wait times, they're divided up by ticket times: you have a 7:30 ticket, you wait in the 7:30 line. I got there at about 7:40pm (for an 8:00 ticket) and waited in line for about a half an hour mainly because I was so early. I got in at around 8:10ish then waited in the security line for about 5 minutes. Pretty efficient given the crowd, but I don't know if that night/time just happened to be quick. I would recommend going at least once with a group of friends but I probably wouldn't go again mainly because of a general lack of non-'scareage'.

i feel like it gets worse and worse every year my 5 year old wasnt even afraid. I feel like they can do a lot better and it is turning into a waste of money. We will not be attending going forward.

It was awesome when it was terror behind the walls. When they changed to Halloween nights they really ruined it. I went for years but its not worth the price anymore

I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I miss terror behind the walls and I hope this Halloween night thing isn't permanent. Each haunted house that was labeled "scary" took 3 minutes max to walk through. There were about 3-6 actors in each who seemed just as confused to be there as we were (since we paid $50 a ticket for nothing). Also every other "attraction" is actually just food and drinks for you to spend money on overpriced things. There is no fear factor at all and there's even a safe word to get the 4 actors to stop trying to scare you. Like why are you at a haunted attraction if you need a safe word. No thanks. Also don't buy the VIP pass. The vampire lounge was the most pathetic thing I've ever walked by, there was 1 actor who was just leaning on a fence so I don't know how that was labeled scary. I don't know about al capones cell. I'm really hoping this isn't permanent and only until the pandemic is under control or else I will never be going back.

Reading the other reviews, I wonder if those writing the reviews have ever liked anything in their lives. They certainly don't seem like they are written by people that like haunted houses or even enjoy a good time. For those of you that understand that lines are a part of going out and that professionally done haunted houses cost money: this is a fun time. I went with the girlfriend and kept the kids at home, which I would recommend. This is more of a date night/adult group experience for me. You can bring the kids, but, I think the attractions are bit too disorienting with flashing lights and intense jump scares- but that's just me. There were plenty of folks with kids there if you wish to bring them. The actors, make up, sets, and props are all super cool. Plus, the building itself being an old prison from the 1800s really adds to the experience. Do all the haunted stuff. Hang about and get a few drinks and get serenaded by a wonderful cast of characters. Take in a beautiful view of the city. Enjoy yourself.

Wow I had fun at this event. Not sure why they had timed admission, because your time there is not limited. There was somewhat more crowding this year. The lines to some of the events was long - but ultimately worth it. The 'spook' actors interacted with some of us. If you saw them first, they were less likely to interact. They liked to shockingly surprise you. Some of the actors were better than others at staying in character. One guy with a club had the glow necklaces wrapped around it, intimating he had killed that many visitors. When I gave him mine, he snatched it and gave me an insane grin. I was also 'grabbed' by a Prison Dentist who pretended to pull out my teeth - My friend, However, who did not wear a glow necklace, complained that the knives and scythes came too close to her eyes (can't verify, I was too busy having my teeth pulled out). Prices for beer, soda, etc keep going up. Yes, it's happening, but it's becoming a burden and resulting in our buying less. Bottom line, loved it. Plan to go back. Hope it doesn't get crazy expensive like the NY Renaissance Fair.

Haunts were well done but short. The actors were great! Lots of other things to do including a short historical tour, a section where spooky stories were told and a fun area with people dressed as skeletons giving performances. Despite the rain, it was crowded so that meant larger groups but that is to be expected as you get later in the month. We still had a great time.

I wish i can rate this 0 stars . all i'm going to say don't waste your time and money , it was not scary at all , every attraction took like 2 minutes to get through and they sent everyone in at the same time. so basically you saw the actors scare everybody in front of you so there was no scary parts at all , everything was anticipated. there was places to drink and eat but everything was terrible and overpriced. a slice of tiny pizza was 8 dollars. honestly i thought this place was going to be worth the drive and amount of money but don't go there. it definitely was a waste

Well, Terror Behind the walls was a fantastic haunted house in a great location. This Halloween Nights rip-off is not worth a free admission let alone $50. The actual haunted house parts all together was less than 10 minutes. Don't waste your time and money unless you want to buy overpriced drinks and lame themed "lounges". Pleas go back to the old format, this current thing is abysmal.

i was here before covid when it was terror behind the wall and it was incredible. i go up and down the coast searching for the best haunted houses from Halloween horror nights to here and this place was always a staple until now. I have put multiple people on the trip here because it was out of this word again until now. to say was once a fan and long time goer has now been removed breaks my heart. i wasn't scared once. the ambiance itself being in an abandoned prison gives them so much to work with which they should've taken that and done better. i spent 2.5 hours to come here and i wouldn't spend money to do it again. I'm disappointed i expected more it was laughable with little to no actors go back to terror behind the walls and make this place great again or go back to daytime tours.

They ruined this event. It was a flagship haunted event year after year. Lines around the building. They then cut out more than half the haunted attractions and added what exactly? Projections on the ceiling of a cell block? S'mores? $14 cocktails? I have been coming here diehard for over 10 years this will be my last year. I went tonight and was totally let down. I make the trip from Boston and sadly it's no longer worth it. Bring back terror behind the walls. If you're in the area goto Pennhurst, Bates Motel or Fright Factory instead.

Sadly place is going down hill. We went previous years and had an awesome time and we we're genuinely scared. We were so excited this year because It had the potential to be great especially with the new bars that are open inside along with the roasting marshmallow stations. We were highly let down when they let you walk in in huge groups through the haunted house it kind of ruins the scare and the fun of it. Also a lot less actors then previous years, shorter exhibits but ironically pricing of tickets went up. Decent time with good friends but would not go back or recommend.

I felt I did not get the full value of my purchase since I could not see all the attractions before they closed, even though I arrived at the proper time that was indicated on my ticket. There were long lines, so it took a while to get through some of them. I was then told some of the attractions were no longer open and I needed to leave. I feel that the ticket purchase price was misrepresented since it did not indicate that I would not be able to see all the attractions due to long lines and closing time constraints.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I went tonight (a tuesday night) and had a great time. I was skeptical since I had read the reviews on here before, but this definitely exceeded my expectations. I am from Florida and go to Halloween Horror Nights every year, and in my opinion, this was better. Being a tuesday night, there were short lines and they actually waited to let you in so you could be apart from the group before. Usually at Halloween Horror nights, it's so packed in the houses that you can't even walk through at a normal place and there's traffic. The special effects and acting was awesome, I was very surprised considering that it's not by a huge company like Universal. We went to one of the houses with a small group and we were the last ones to go in for the night, and it was one of the most awesome things I experienced. The whole crew went in with us and went through with us scaring us the entire time. They were shouting in my ears and one of the girls was even on the floor touching my leg. The location makes it even scarier and they use that to their advantage. Nevertheless, I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun halloween activity. This was very creative and one of my favorite parts of my trip to pennsylvania. Just make sure to wear the necklace to make it more fun (so they can touch you and etc.) and try to go on a week day!

Halloween Nights at the Eastern State Penitentiary is amazing! I love the changes made for Covid! The penitentiary itself is amazing. The actors, dancers and singers are very talented. I was signing (ASL) to my friend and ghouls who knew sign language came out to "haunt" us. The special effects were very cool. We LOVED The Speakeasy at Al Capone's Cell. Talented and funny performers! We had a great tarot card read, a spooky cocktail and a chance to play Black Jack "for our souls". Everything is included with your VIP ticket. It was a great time, in a great Philly neighborhood. You can choose the scary stuff OR opt for the more fun Halloween-prison themed stuff. Don't miss it!

Just Horrible, its not scary, but its also not fun. Its not worth the time or money, so avoid it.

I really wish I had read some of these reviews before going to this. It definitely not worth the $49pp ticket price. It seems more geared to adults since a lot of the attractions were bars. But even the stuff that was supposed to be scary wasn't.

I came here in 2017 and had an amazing time and a great scare. I came with my 3 friends and had a completely different experience. First off, it was way to crowded and not even a little bit scary and I get startled pretty easily. Also, there were only 4 "scary" attractions and then the rest was just food and drinks, which is not what we came here we came for the haunted attraction. Honestly couldn't possibly be more disappointed because I used to love this place. Complete waste of $50.

Seriously just wow! I like what was done this year so much, I walked through with a great mindset not expecting it to be the exact same as terror and it was awesome! If you aren't the loser that pays to go to a haunt and then points out the actors ,and uses the safe word when you don't need to then says (that wasn't scary) then this is the place for you. There's now a way to skip the scares if you need to I thought that was nice because my one friend didn't wanna go anymore, she tapped out when the guy in front of us got spooked so good he POOPED his pants in tricks n treats scary hallway! We had an amazing spooky season s'mores and booze filled evening. I learned about the need for action with the increased incarceration rates at the fair chance beer garden. I think it's important to realize what's going on, I think this historical place should never become a Walmart one day. The VIP bars were everything beautiful singing ghouls in the speakeasy and vampires serving you wine? Super cool. The pretty cellblock exit with the lights was a nice walk to take a moment to realize how free we are. Go and enjoy this festival
