I have a general rule of thumb that any pub that charges more than $30 for a Parma should be approached with caution. We didn't order the Parma ($32!), but this rule still holds true: $16 "pork belly" (pictured) involved three slivers of porchetta offcuts with some sad, flaccid bits of potato. All other dishes were similarly disappointing: $22 for an undersized margherita pizza, Korean chicken ($16 entree) ok but overcooked and dry. And $28 for a cheeseburger and chips? C'mon guys.. taking the mick.
Bar staff were also curt and argumentative, seemingly happy to serve flat postmix coke and get uppity when pointed out. And this was early in the night before the crowds had even built up. I get it might be tough finding qualified staff on the busiest weekend of the year, but if you're going to charge big city prices then your customers will expect a certain standard.
We tried this place out five odd years ago and left underwhelmed then too. Won't ever be heading back with plenty of other options around to give a go.
