This is going to be a multiple post because I can’t do a google post on Hallstatt itself. Let me begin by saying Hallstatt is a beautiful village located on the Western side of the see. This can easily be a 2 day trip . But we managed in one . So much history and beautiful, And bizarre things to see here . Let’s start with the Marktplatz. Panoramic view point overlooking the alps and the Hallstatter see . Than the Salzwelton underground mine that I very highly recommend because it’s so much fun . And educational. But tons of fun . Don’t forget to visit the tourism office to get your bearings. Than up the mountain to the PFarrkrche Catholic Church that overlooks the entire village. Than there is the Hallstatt ossuary , Or other wise known as the bone house at St Michael’s church. Expect small fee,s. Very cheap. And the food is as you would expect, Far exceeds anything you can buy in the United States. Very kid friendly. Probably one of the best places to take a 6 year on up kid . I’ve traveled all over the world and this is a favorite place I will go back to . Any questions feel free to ask . As I have not filled in all the pictures yet .

This place is kinda cool kinda not so cool. Cool because of the view but not so cool due to the crowd, not enough parking, very hard to find halal food, everything is expensive and roads are narrow. You must get there early in the morning if you want to find a good spot without many ppl to take pictures and walk around . After 9.30am , you would not be able to walk around as there would many tourists.

A beautiful area to explore, the sparkling lake, quaint villages and tall mountains create a most magnificent and eye pleasing setting. There are boat cruises departing every hour from Hallstatt, or one can rent small boats, paddle boards or giant swans to enjoy the view from the water.

This popular little town is amazingly beautiful, we did a day trip from Wien and didn’t regret it. Took the folicular up and view was spectacular to say the least. Had a great time.

One of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen in Austria and Europe. The lake is surrounded by mountains from all sides, everything is green over there. If you take the funicular to the top, you will find the salt mine which I highly recommend as a 90 minutes experience. From the top you can see all the lake. I used the stairs back to the lake, it almost took me 1 hour to go down. The view of the houses on the lake is really beautiful. It will be a nice place to spend Honeymoon in the summer

The tour to Hallstatt with Salzburg Panorama Tours was truly wonderful. Hallstatt's beauty, with its stunning mountains, serene lake, and quaint village, left me amazed. Our guide, Sonia, was fantastic; her friendly attitude and deep knowledge made the trip memorable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Austria's scenic landscapes. [Note: I have posted a similar review on Google Maps for the tour company, which is why it was flagged as repetitive]
