This place is beautiful. We came to see the blowhole and noticed this cove down below the viewing area. Surprisingly it was not crowded. We climbed down to it and really enjoyed it. Be careful the waves were pretty strong on the day we went.

Halona Beach Cove is a secret slice of paradise tucked between lava rock cliffs and turquoise waves. The golden sand, dramatic shoreline, and cinematic vibes make it unforgettable. Perfect for a scenic escape, photo ops, and soaking up Hawaiian beauty. A little adventure with a big reward. 😎

The view is stunning. The blue of the sea is gorgeous and I couldn't wait to get in. There is a sign saying it is dangerous and a restricted area but people were happy to risk their lives climbing down the rocks to get to it. So worth it! There's a cave at the back too, very instagramable. The water was crazy, the waves were crashing. The cliff side was beautiful, seeing the layers of rock. We went a couple of times. It did get busy at one point.

So beautiful and stunning views!!! Car ride there isn’t for beginners but so amazing.

Nice stop. Short little hike down some rocky areas. Well worth it though.

A beautiful stop, a little difficult to get down to it from the road. If you can make it down, its a great spot, it was awesome to be able to swim in a spot like this.

Pretty little cove beach. The waves are a little stronger here, but ok for good swimmers. Some fish and coral can be seen snorkeling. Has a little cave/tunnel nearby. Parking lot get full fast but found a spot fairly quickly. Going down from the parking is via rocky and steep hill so take your time.

Of all the beaches we frequented around Oahu, Halona Cove was by far the most fun and exciting. We spotted the cove while driving along the highway and decided to make the trek down from the scenic lookout. While the beach itself is limited in space, it more than made up for in huge, crashing waves. The waves are quite strong by the beach, and get larger and more violent as you swim further out into the cove. I swam close to the mouth of the cove and experienced massive waves from all sides (Note: it can be quite dangerous to swim outwards and not recommended for safety reasons). A little out of the way, but definitely worth the little detour.

Yelp
Sightseeing at the edge of Honolulu, Hawaii... Also known as Eternity Beach, Halona Beach Cove is a natural phenomenon that is unusual and beautiful. It's basically a secluded beach in a volcanic cove. There's a steep, sandy, rocky, uneven pathway down from the road. It looks challenging to climb back up! Free parking is available at the Halona Blowhole Lookout parking lot. Halona Beach Cove (also known as Cockroach Cove) is most known as the site where the Beach scene from the movie, "From Here To to Eternity", was shot. This beach was also in the movie, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and the television shows, "I Dream Of Jeanie" and "Hawaii Five-O".

Yelp
Strong waves, pretty turquoise sea water, nt easy to get down to the cove. Not save to swim but a good place to see the ocean and Halona blowhole.

Yelp
This magical place! Halona Beach Cove goes by a few different names (Eternity Beach and Cockroach Cove), but they are all one in the same. This stunning cove is located just below the famous Halona Blowhole and right outside of the ever so popular Hanauma Bay Preserve. It can be accessed from a short but steep set of stairs that lead from the Halona Blowhole Lookout parking lot. Once you're down there, it'll feel like you're in another world. The cove has some of the most clearest water that I've ever seen. If you're admiring the cove from the viewpoint, you'll instantly notice its' signature aqua hues. Since it's a cove, the sandy portion of the cove seems to stay a lot warmer than your typical beach. However, the wind from the coastal bluffs is really strong here, making for significant waves and a fun place to swim. Because the water is so clear, you will find many people snorkeling and deep sea diving right from the cliffs. It's also pretty shallow so you'll witness many people swimming. On the rocky sides of the cove, you'll be able to enjoy some great views of the Halona Blowhole and the beautiful sights and sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks. Although this is a popular spot, it still remains very peaceful. You'll be able to find a nice spot to relax and admire the cove. The views are absolutely magnificent here, and it feels like something straight out of a magazine. You can capture some amazing photos here. Such a lovely spot and an excellent alternative to the nearby pricey and often overcrowded Hanauma Bay.

Yelp
This is serious beauty! It looks incredible but you need to be careful with currents and waves! They get crazy! The viewpoint is nice too! We were lucky to see a monk seal chilling on the beach

Yelp
I visited here and hiked many trails on 09/13 during my first visit to Hawai'i & posted a vlog! Search "Nikko Gandia Travels" on YT. Tried to see the blowhole but it was low tide. Check to see if it's high tide when you plan to visit. At least there's a nice cove on the right side.

Yelp
HAWAII 2020 ADVENTURES #11 - FROM HERE TO ETERNITY A former coworker commented to me that I have an "old soul" due to my fondness of old, classic movies. Most movies today will be dated however classic movies stay fresh. Two years ago I visited Hawaii for the first time. Prior to my trip I read the novel "From Here To Eternity". In fact when I was in the Big Island at the condominium I was staying I watched the movie version on TCM during Memorial Day Weekend. The most talked about scene from the movie was the love scene between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr at Halona Beach Cove. I wasn't sure when I would visit Oahu again but I bookmarked this beach on my bucket list. This year I came back to Hawaii where I stayed at Oahu for 2 days. I visited to this beach on the day before Thanksgiving. That day was also my last day in Hawaii before I flew back to the mainland. When I arrived at Halona Beach Cove I was shocked that the beach was at the bottom of the lookout. I couldn't tell that from the movie. To get to the beach you have to walk on sandy, rocky slope. I didn't have difficulty walking down. However I couldn't imagine in 1953 how the cameramen would carry their equipment. The beach isn't big. Even though the body of water isn't big as normal beaches the current is quite strong. This beach is an underrated place to swim due to the small beach, which means this area won't be overcrowded. From my perspective if you want a peaceful time to yourself the best time to go to this beach is early morning just after sunrise. As my former coworker said, "I have an old soul." I'm not ashamed to admit it. Yet for a small beach why do old and young people drive to Halona Beach Cove? Mostly it's because of that famous movie of 1953 that won the Oscar for Best Picture. If I go back to Oahu I'll come to this beach again to swim and unwind. Hopefully there still be a young Deborah Kerr look-a-like waiting for me.

Yelp
Super small section with very limited parking but beautiful views. The Halona Beach Cove is located right next to Halona Blowhole so there are a lot of people coming and going just to see the Blowhole. Halona Beach Cove is shaped like a heart! Cute little Beach Cove to visit. While you're visiting, might as well take the time to see the Blowhole as well. You get to hit two bids with one stone!

Yelp
Hi guys! I cannot believe I never went to this spot before: For those of you who have not been to this fun little cove if you are interested in checking out this spot make sure to get there early and check tides/weather beforehand. Parking is hard to find if you get there late morning so make sure to plan on getting there early. Wear hiking shoes since there is a rocky walk down to the cove. I found it easier hike down to the beach cove by using the right side area for the hike down rather than hiking down the left side but the walk back up is a breeze. Down at the cove there is a rocky area with dusty gray/black rocks, a sandy area, a cave and of course a beautiful beach area with undeniably clear blue waters. Would I suggest this spot for a rookie swimmer for purpose of swimming? Not sure about that there are other areas with calmer bodies of water. Would I recommend this place for dipping your feet in, enjoying a gorgeous peaceful and serene view of mountains, clear blue water and a cool blowhole? Absolutely! It was so much fun and a unique experience for sure :) Photo credits to Photographer @ brad.a.shultz

Yelp
1 star. This beach sucks. They charged us but we didn't get in, they also didn't give us a refund. The guy was also giving us a hard time, and was a bad worker.

Yelp
Just beautiful. I think this was the highlight of our trip. We actually didn't even know what this was but just happened to drive past it and found it. Loved swimming in it and there is a small cave thing as well. Tip: Don't swim too far or you will get sucked in and could die... The waves are strong and you could hit a rock. Pro Tip: Bring a towel! There is no place to take a shower after. Follow me on Instagram @willeatfood

Yelp
We parked at the blowhole parking lot and walked down here. It is really so pretty. The current is really strong though so I wouldn't swim here. But, just to be here is really nice. Ok I would go in the water, but I would definitely be careful with children. Don't underestimate the water. It's awesome being here though because you get a sense of the power of the ocean.
google avatar

Nikki K.

Yelp
The tide pools here are awesome! There's a small cave that goes through the sea cliff, too- I suggest bringing a headlamp or flashlight!

Yelp
The most prettiest and bluest water i have ever seen. This beach is like a hidden treasure. Its small, kind of like your own private beach. Many people come here to watch the blow hole on the other side. When the waves aren't so rough there's a tiny cave under the rocks. There's also a an exit/entrance cave behind one of the rocks. Waves come pretty strong from the side, its fun to jump off from one of the rocks.. just be careful. I definitely loved this beach it was so quiet and beautiful.
google avatar

Yelp
It is a very nice beach with soft Sand next to the blow hole. There is a small parking but always packed. There is a short hike down go the beach from the parking lot. Even if you are not planning to hang out here, it is worth a stop at this famous beach seen in many movies, 51st date and recently the Pirate of the Caribbean IV.
google avatar

Yelp
Sooo beautiful and worth the trek down the rocks!! I did some snorkeling and was able to see lots of fish and coral! There were children and people of all ages when we went. Please remember to keep Hawaii beautiful and pack out anything you pack in!! :)
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Pretty beach! I'm surprised more people don't walk down to the actual beach, most people just hang out at the lookout where the tourbuses park. The little cave in the corner would be cool, except it smells like pee, I think homeless people must hang out in there. There's also the blowhole nearby, but it wasn't super active when we were here.
google avatar

Lera F.

Yelp
This little beach is absolutely gorgeous!!! We were thrilled to stumble upon it :D It's even been featured in a film, From Here to Eternity. It's covered on both sides by hills, making it a little cove indeed, surrounded by black rocks. Bright blue water and some trees on the short path leading down to it. A truly idyllic place!!
google avatar

Yelp
You'll reconotice this beach in 50 First Dates, or From Here to Eternity(which is why its also called Eternity Beach). On a very nice day, you can score one of the best spots to soak up the sun. Halona Beach Cove is a very scenic spot with crystal clear water with a cool spot to jump off of , have some honu(sea turtle) sightings and you can even do a little bodysurfing too.To get down to the cove, you must brave the "Stairs to Eternity". There are no railings, and use caution when going up or down to avoid serious injury. As beautiful as HBC is, there may also be hazardous conditions. Don't be that stupid haole(tourist) and think you're Michael Phelps and jump into the rip currents!!! (This idiot was VERY lucky to swim out of it!) Another note to all visitors...as much as you want that picture perfect shot to show all your folks back home, DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK TO MOTHER OCEAN!!!!(Unless you want to be swept out to sea and possibly end up on the evening news) people were getting very close to the ledge, and the water was pretty rough... As we were chowing on some Char Hung Sut action, we watched another idiot in bikini and flip flops climb the jagged wall to the top which was very stupid and pointless, but luckily she didn't get hurt either....enjoy your time here, just don't do stupid things that could get you injured or killed!...ALOHA!!!!!

Yelp
Probably my favorite spot on O'ahu. A friend and I stopped at the Halona Blowhole Lookout and I noticed there was nobody down in the beach cove. Although my friend didn't want to make the hike down to the beach, I managed to convince her (honestly, it's NOT bad at all) and we got the cove all to ourselves. Honestly, I don't really care either way about the fact that this spot is often used as a location in movies or video shoots - although you can see why location scouts or whatnot would be attracted to this spot. All I know is that it's a beautiful little cove and I would have LOVED to spend more time there. If I ever get back to O'ahu? I know one of the first places I'm going. :)

Yelp
Great find just south of Honolulu. Bring your blanket, beach towel, food and beverage and just hang out. The currents are vigorous and there are rocks underwater, so only for good swimmers. Beautiful is an understatement.

Yelp
Literally one of my favorite coves here on the island. the day we went, we were the only ones there. It felt so private and the water was a bit choppy. However, we brought a packed lunch and just decided to enjoy the views. I don't know how much I recommend swimming here but it is super pretty. also please be careful coming dow the hills.I scrapped my knee a bit.

Yelp
Located right next to the Halona Blowhole, the Halona Beach Cove is now one of my favorite spots in Hawaii. I've been to the blowhole before (the last time I visited Hawaii, which was 5 years ago). How did I miss the cove last time?? I have no idea. You don't understand, this cove is so beautiful! There's a small hike down to the beach itself. But it's oh-so worth it! Different shades of blue water contrasted by dark brown rocks. BREATHTAKING, just breathtaking. Even the sand was beautiful! Large grains of pale sand. Too bad the water was chilly the day we were there. It would've been nice to have a beach day there. It's very private. Well, except the fact that people visiting the blowhole can look down and see you. So, it's private enough. If you plan to stop by the blowhole, make sure to go down to the cove!

Yelp
Also called Cockroach Cove and Eternity Beach (one of several by the same name). Super fun spot to jump in the water, snorkel, rock climb, or explore. It's just a small cove right off the freeway beside Halona Blowhole Lookout. Pretty small, and often has a lot of people around, but really neat if you haven't been. Known for being a filming location for part of Pirates of the Caribbean (don't ask what part or which movie because Im not sure), lots of people go here to swim. However, my fiancé and I just tried the spotlight activity: adventuring through the cave. The cave goes from the rock ledge in the middle of the beach, under the highway, and out of the rocks to the other side. It gets progressively smaller until you pretty much need to crawl at the end or you will bash your head on overhead rock projections. Once side of the cave is a sandy beach, while the other side is super green, full of vegetation and bushes and rock formations, and flowers. There is an overgrown trail once you go through the cave that leads back up to the freeway. Pretty neat! You can also climb up several rocky slopes to catch better views, but make sure you have the right shoes because it will be slippery and wild. It was a lot of fun, and I would love to go again! Word of advice to the excited reader of this review: if you want to go through the cave, have some sort of light. If you want to climb up the rocky ledge on the other side of the cave, have sufficient shoes for climbing. Otherwise, the overgrown trail on the other side is easy to trek with slippers. Have fun and take chances!

Yelp
Get here EARLY. This place will fill up with people fast, but it has the very best tiny beach on the island. The waters are stunningly clear, the parking lot offers easy access, and you get the best view of the blowhole. I'd spend every day there if I could!
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Family and I drove around the whole island during out stay, and enjoyed the quick viewpoint detour at Halona. A lot of soft sand that gets close to to water. Blue waters and big waves!
google avatar

Christian S.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots on Oahu so far. Definitely worth the short trip from Honolulu. The rocks can be difficult for some to navigate down to the beach. If you're unable to get down the rocks though the view from the parking lot area is just as epic.
google avatar

Leslie O.

Yelp
My absolute favorite beach in O'ahu - just beating Kailua! The beach is absolutely beautiful. On a high tide day there are fun waves to body surf. On a chill day it's like a magical pool where you can just swim, dive in from the rocks and enjoy. Absolutely stunning beach. Park either at Sandy Beach and walk over the blowholes or park at the lookout (scenic view) and hike down the right side to the cove. Super easy short hike.
google avatar

Yelp
Just another beautiful place to hang out at when visiting Oahu. Nice little cove where you can go for a dip or suntan. I usually walk around the cove and watch the waves, the blowhole or honu swimming in the ocean. Really a beautiful place! As others have mentioned it is also called Eternity Beach because the movie From Here To Eternity was filmed here. Love it!
google avatar

Charlene M.

Yelp
I have vacay'd on this island several times and I love going to this beach the most. I like to pull the From Here To Eternity pose every time. It's the Hollywood starlet screaming to get out! Kinda treacherous to get down to, but totally worth the hike. Sea turtles inhabit this area, too, so one swam up on me and almost gave me a heart attack!!! Damn that guy could swim fast. Quiet, beautiful and lots of fun rocks to jump off of into the great blue water. Bring your camera to take pix and snacks, cuz they don't have a snack bar or civilazation anywhere near.
google avatar

Nari L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this cove. I bring visitors here all the time! The view from the top is amazing but the view from the bottom is also amazing! I always see sea turtles and last time i was there i saw a monk seal chilling on the beach!
google avatar

melanie l.

Yelp
This cove was off the road on the way to makapu'u lighthouse. The BF and I pulled over to the parking lot and decided to hike down the cove and took some beautiful pictures. If you have a spare moment I say stop by and chill right by the the sandy area and just watch the wave hit the rocks. I left my heart in Hawaii!
google avatar

Elisë K.

Yelp
Nice little hidden gem between the blowhole and lighthouse hike. You have to hike down here, but bring your boogie board or snorkel gear! The grains from the black rocks makes black sand mixed with the white sand. You can climb on the rocks and jump in the water. When we were there, we saw a pregnant woman with a dog and girl doing yoga on the rocks for a photo shoot. It was beautiful! PS This is the spot that was in the one scene of 50 First Dates after Henry (Sandler) knocks himself out golfing and dreams he is walking down to get his golf ball and Lucy (Barrymore) is there holding it walking, toward him.
google avatar

Mia M.

Yelp
When we first arrived on island and drove to the blow hole, we saw a nice handful of people down at the cove and honestly, I was too scared to go down. Even if you're a tourist, don't be afraid, you're missing out on something beautiful. This beach is also known as Eternity beach, since that movie from here to eternity was filmed here. Parking is ample since its in the same area as the blow hole parking. If you're facing the water, there is the "stairs to eternity" on the right, over the small wall, which is more of just a jagged path down to the cove. When crossing over, it is not dangerous but just be careful. There is a lot of broken glass and such scattered along the path of rubble and rocks. Take your time and before you know it you'll be at the beach. The beach itself is gorgeous, and when you're down there it is never crowded and feels like its your own private hidden beach. We have climbed over the right hand rocks onto the other side, but only when the water is placid. Otherwise those rocks might be a little dangerous since they are wet and there is no real footing. If you go to the left towards the blow hole, its flatter and safer than the rocks on the right, but it could be dangerous at the blow hole itself. Just use your best judgement and don't mess with the rocks/water if it looks dangerous.
google avatar

Jordyn P.

Yelp
Out of the million things I did on my trip, this was by far my favorite. It's like a crazy wave pool and make sure you bring goggles so you can look at all the cool rainbow fish underwater and all the sea turtles. But don't go in that weird tunnel there's literally like 40 roaches on the wall I damn near had a stroke when I saw them
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
FORGET THE BLOWHOLE. Just park, and walk straight down here. This has to be the most peaceful, relaxing, and secluded little spot to sunbathe and just chill out! I believe it's also called "Eternity Beach" because it was featured in an old movie "From Here to Eternity" (1953) that Frank Sinatra was in Worth checking out when you're cruising down the Kalanianaole!
google avatar

Diandrea S.

Yelp
Gorgeous place! When I first showed up it was pretty crowded, but over time people started to leave. Some people came to swim, others to tan on the beach, and the rest just to take pictures on the rocks and near the water. Stepping into the water I was quickly knocked over by a giant wave. But not all waves were as bad. My one advice is to stay away from people. Even though I had got my balance and new how to swim through a wave, others who were less fortunate were getting pulled in the current and had hit me multiple times. I would suggest bringing snorkels and goggles because I did see a turtle, but without goggles I couldn't really see it well (only when it poked it head out of the water did I see it clearly). Even if you're not into swimming this place is great to relax and walk along the rocks for great pictures. There were a lot of hermit crabs on the rocks and it's always fun to play with those little guys. Overall great and fun place just to chill and relax (or to get smacked by waves and people). The hike down isn't too vigorous and I did see people climbing all over the other rocks and cliffs (if you have sensitive feet like mines bring good foot wear to climb the rocks).

Yelp
Great little beach hidden near the blow hole lookout.
google avatar

Glenn L.

Yelp
After taking lots of beautiful pictures from the lookout, My friends and I ventured down this steep rocky hill to get to Halona Beach Cove! It was pretty scary going down on a rocky path, so be careful! Once again my friends from Hawaii made it look so easy lol. This beach is pretty chill. Perfect spot to tan, relax, and play in the water! I'm not sure if this is really a private beach or not, but because it isn't so big and it's not as crowded as other beaches, I guess it gives people that "private" beach feeling!
google avatar

Kathryn N.

Yelp
Our fav place on the island!!! Parking is not the best but the view from the top just doesn't I justice to the views down in the cove! A must visit!
google avatar

Bonnie H.

Yelp
A really nice little spot! Not many people here, which is great! Beautiful water and there was a turtle floating around.

Yelp
Ill let you yelpers in on a little secret: this is my favorite beach on the island (as of yet, at least). If youre like me, and you love adventure or just need that little rush of jumping in the ocean without much of a large crowd around, then this is your beach. Its a small little cove, thats located at the bottom of the lookout point for Halona Blowhole. There is a parking lot that you can park in, but like others have mentioned, be careful about what you leave in the car. Luckily, I havent had a problem as of yet (*knock on wood*). Now the way you make your way down (and the way I recommend) is by a little path thats right past the entryway of the parking lot. It is a little bit of a hike/climb down (which isnt bad at all), but take it from someone who gets a little worried while climbing rocks; it is well worth it! Because its a small beach, it can get crowded at times (which is rare). People go there for a variety of reasons; to just relax and tan on the beach, for the photographic scenery or to jump off the rocks into the ocean. What I like about it is that its just deep enough for people to jump into to get your adrenaline rush, but be sure to jump in when the wave comes! A good place to jump into the ocean is hard to find these days, since they fenced off other places -_-. Now if its low tide and you jump in, you could get really hurt. Ive been here a bajillion times, and there were multiple times where ive seen sea life :) There are a lot of turtles that swim around at this cove. We've even seen a seal swim in and try to relax on the sand (until the wave took him back away hehe) ^____^ The Breakdown: Pros: -Beautiful scenery -Good place to get a little adrenaline rush and jump off a rock (its not as scary as Waimea Bay either) -Sea life! -Not as crowded as other beaches Cons: -The parking there can be a little sketchy at times -A little climb down but well worth it -No bathrooms/showers; need to go down a little further to Sandys for that Go and check it out for yourself! Im sure youll love it :)

Yelp
Hidden gem. Mesmerize by its beauty. I will never forget this place. I jump off the rocks and totally forgot about my oakleys. And dropped them as I splashed in the ocean. Couldn't recover them. I gave up and took it as a lost. It was all worth it. But wait... after about 20 mins this guy with the snorkel gear came out of the water with them. I told him I'll give him 20bucks for them and he politely refuse and said 'aloha'. I think that was really cool!
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
The cove is very peaceful, which is ironic because of how powerful the waves/tide is. It's much calmer and quieter here than Haunama Bay. There are pets here, but they can be a nuisance. There is a nice little cave too that goes all the way through/under to the other side of the roadway above.

Yelp
I absolutely love this area! Whether you're visiting or a local, this is definitely somewhere along the east side that I would stop at. - You park in the upper lot where you can take in an amazing view of Poseidon's home first. - Then you make a very easy climb down. There's an entrance near the street where the railing is. It's totally manageable even by kids, but if you're handicap then be careful because the rocks can be kind of slippery (since they're smooth). Once you're there, set down your beach towel and soak up the sun! This location is great because - since it's a cove, the wind doesn't get to you as much. - the sun hits nicely - there are fishes and sometimes turtle to WATCH (NO TOUCHY!) - the water is very clear and beautiful - the sand is clean of trash and cigarette butts ( LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY KAYKAY) - if you're a nerd like me, there are some tide pools that form if the waves aren't crazy and it's a steady day out in the water. You can watch all the fishes! - there is rock area to lounge on, explore, and even do a small jump off of - if the water is calm, it makes a cool snorkeling spot BUT be careful if you aren't too confident in the water. Since you're basically surrounded by rocks, you can easily hurt yourself if the water is rough. The currents DO get very vicious at times and the swimming can be hard if you're not good at going with the flow. So just use your best judgement and don't try to impress anyone. Other than that, enjoy this amazing spot and please remember to kokua and not litter :-) There's a trash can available back up at the parking area!

Yelp
Talk about a diamond in the rough, literally & figuratively. When I first looked down into the cove from the lookout, I couldn't figure out how I was going to get there. It was surrounded by rough rocks and the trail to go down didn't seem safe. Once I saw 10 year olds playing and having a good time, I knew I had to force myself! I am petrified of heights and more importantly breaking my nose. My friend, with her bad knee, was super confident and I decided to trust her on it. The trail is super easy and easy to navigate. There are tons of flat rocks to place a good footing, and I went with flip flops, and grab other rocks for support. The closer I got into the cove, the more excited I was getting! Once into the cove, my friend and I found the perfect spot to place our beach towels and soak in the sun for a little bit. We were glad to see that there were not that many people so we could truly enjoy a little secret getaway adventure. We made our way into the waves that were being thrown across the surrounding rocks. I have to say I felt like a turtle being washed ashore and dragged into the waters, but it was SO much fun! My friend and I had fun talking, getting splashed around, and best of all, being able to take in the beauty. I am so glad we stayed a bit longer to catch the dipping sun. The orange glow, the waves crashing onto the shore, and just the stillness beauty made it a perfect way to end the day. There is also a cute little lava tube that takes you to the other side of the highway. I think the mouse we saw freaked me out a little to try and go explore it. I can take the eerie darkness, but I can not be mouse meat. Parking Address: (Halona Blowhole Lookout) 8699 Hawaii 72, Honolulu, HI 96825 Yelp Review #71

Yelp
Beautiful little beach in a nice little cove, some days when nobody is around - it is nice and quiet but usaully a lot of people up at the parking, never get totally private. Very rocky steep little hill to get down to the beach. Big waves outside of the cove usually. I love just floating in the ocean in the cove. This is located on the south of the parking for Halona blowhole parking. Swam with turtle a couple of times. YELP 365 - 15/365

Yelp
Great place to visit if you get there early! The sunrise was beautiful and the hidden cave was super cool. Rocks are shop so bring sandals!

Yelp
Whenever I think of a "hidden beach" on O'ahu... i think of this place. It's located just below the Blowhole scenic view. If you walk towards the roadside, you'll find a pathway to go down. Go down to get to the beach cove. Going down isn't too bad, but as always you want to be careful and take your time. Before you know it, you're already down there. The times I've been here, it hasn't been crowded. There is a bathroom that his man made into the mountain, but it smells... bad. You can get closer to the blow hole when you reach the beach, BUT DO NOT GO NEAR THE BLOWHOLE! It is dangerous and there have been deaths where people have been sucked into the blowhole... Again DO NOT get near the blow hole!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Love this little find!! Aka "From Here to Eternity Beach" The scene from 50 first dates where lucy says "looking for your ball?" was filmed here ;) Clear waters, lightly trafficked, low number of beach goers. A little climbing down but worth it!
