amazing place to be . the blowhole was not very strong while we were there but it was definitely worth going . it was a few nice pictures within the videos because you never know when a good one is coming but amazing pictures and a good time . worth the visit . there is also a beach at the bottom , the water looks pretty aggressive so just be careful if you decide to get in the waves and current are very strong

Very beautiful spot to grab some photos! The blow hole was highly active and did not disappear. The cove beneath is absolutely stunning.

We loved coming here to see the blowhole. My 13yo took a side trail to the adjacent cove to do a little exploring. Be aware of tides if you choose to do that. Overall it was a neat, short stop if you're in the area. Be advised that the parking lot is small but usually you don't have to wait long for a spot as people aren't there for very long. The scenery is beautiful and makes for some great pictures.

This place is beautiful definitely bring a flashlight so you can walk through the tunnel. Go hiking on the sides there make sure you bring good walking sandals, not flip-flops to go check out where the blow hole is. Be careful, very strong waves. But again beautiful scenery.

Tucked along Oahu’s east coast, Halona Blowhole Lookout offers some of the most breathtaking views on the island. With plenty of free parking and just a short walk to the edge, you’re immediately greeted by sweeping ocean vistas and dramatic coastline. The blowhole is fun to watch—sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it’s absolutely worth it. While we were there, we even spotted a whale activating its blowhole, which was an unforgettable sight! Nearby, there are beautiful tide pools and a small cove with a beach that’s well worth exploring if you have the time. If you continue a little further past the cove, you’ll discover the Japanese Fishing Shrine—a peaceful, spiritual spot with yet another stunning lookout. Whether you’re visiting for extraordinary photos, admiring the scenery, or hoping to spot whales in the right season, Halona Blowhole Lookout truly feels like a slice of paradise you’ll never forget.

Very beautiful area. Parking is available but difficult due to the high volume of tourists taking pictures. There’s beach below wasn’t very crowded and the lava tunnel was very cool to see. The tide comes in strong toward the end of the day so be cautious of the waves if you swim. I don’t recommend climbing on any rocks near the water because of crashing waves.

Very cool! Watched people home down to the hole area and jump into water as well as swim from shore. 🌊 Waves are extremely strong and big--looked like a giant wave pool at a water park. Seems like it would be extremely important to be cautious and enter water at your own risk.

Another great lookout spot along the east coast of the island. There was a good amount of parking and no long walk to the viewing area. We were there at low tide so the blowhole wasn’t as impressive, but you could still see mist coming up through it. The view overall was great and also gave us the idea to stop at the beach down the road to poke around for a bit.
