Hamad International Airport

I visited this airport as a transit passenger while flying with Qatar Airways. Overall, the experience was smooth and pleasant. Surprisingly, the airport was quite crowded even at 2:00 AM. A few downsides: there weren’t many lounges available, washrooms were harder to find compared to Dubai Airport, and the lighting in some areas felt a bit dim and dull. Still, a decent transit experience overall.

Nice airport. Well maintained and multi brand stores available in the airport terminal. Great indoor view. The airport is extremely busy as it's preferred transit for many travelers travelling specifically to Europe or American countries.

Great airport! Very easy way to navigate around. If you have time go to gate C to experience the forest in the middle of the airport. Qatar has a great stopover program, so if you have a chance...do it! Doha is great and definitely worth the visit!

One of the finest international airports I've visited. The airport is spacious and beautifully maintained, with a modern yet welcoming design. Cleanliness is clearly a priority—washrooms are spotless, and the entire facility feels fresh and hygienic. The staff is friendly and helpful, making navigation smooth even in such a large terminal. You’ll find plenty of luxurious outlets, diverse food courts, and ample seating areas to relax. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus and works reliably throughout the airport. A special highlight is the well-kept garden spaces, adding a refreshing touch of greenery to the travel experience. Whether you're transiting or starting your journey here, this airport offers a blend of comfort, luxury, and efficiency.

This airport can be overwhelming due to its sheer size, but it is perhaps the best airport I have been to thus far. I was there twice while waiting for my onward flights, and my short stays were quite comfortable. Everything is spacious and there is no chance of crowding especially in the early morning. There are lots of stores and coffee shops that are open even in the wee hours of the day. Restrooms are clean. Waiting areas near the gates have USB-C chargers so you can power up your device. Excellent airport for layovers!

Such an excellent airport! One of the best and largest airports in the Middle East. It has all what travellers may need. Smooth procedures. Very practical design. Helpful and cooperative staff. Clean, tidy and well maintained.

When I was told the Airport ranked number 1...I wasn't surprised. I flew Qatar more than a decade ago, and wow...so much upgrades. Lounges for Economy $64 for 6hrs to shower and freshen up, Free Hotel for 8hrs and more...I can go on and on...and if you do have a long layover...go on a bus tour with DiscoverQatar...and thank me later. Temperature is great...AC is great compared to Hot Humid Temps outside

Very clean. Non complicated signage. Very helpful airport personnel-- from greeter to security to ground personnel. Very impressive. The lounges are also good and friendly. Not too much food variety but all served were acceptable and nicely done. The transfer smoking lounge is impressive compared to many countries. Air filters, good sitting and clean spacious room space makes smoker become conscientious and not litter. Overall a good airport.
