Hamad International Airport

It’s absolutely gorgeous airport, the green space is still one of my fav. spot here. You can find a whole lot of luxury brands, restaurants, cafes, and lounges. If you have a long transit and want to take a quick nap, look for quiet rooms there are no. of them scattered all around the airport, you can get some quite time/ get to have a nap if needed. Though make sure not to disturb people around the room with your music and always turn your phone to silent mode. There are staff all around who are very helpful ask away your question and queries.

To say that Doha is not bad a place to be delayed is an understatement. Such a lovely, friendly, and amazing airport. There are so many amazing food and drink options but we loved the pizza best! There’s so many different pieces of art to see as well. Not ideal being delayed but the airport kept us massively entertained to say the least.

1 of the most exquisite Airports in the World. The Duty Free is so competitively priced you wish your personal allowance was unlimited. Clean throughout and all the staff are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to assist you. We needed a wheelchair for our elderly disabled mother and 1 colleague fetched a wheelchair immediately.

It's a beautiful airport, perfectly air conditioned against the outside heat. It's clean and staff were polite in my interactions. Free wifi. Prices for food and drinks were high. There are a number of paid for lounges which seems to be the expectation if you have a long stopover. There are numerous kiosks and maps to guide you.

I visited this airport as a transit passenger while flying with Qatar Airways. Overall, the experience was smooth and pleasant. Surprisingly, the airport was quite crowded even at 2:00 AM. A few downsides: there weren’t many lounges available, washrooms were harder to find compared to Dubai Airport, and the lighting in some areas felt a bit dim and dull. Still, a decent transit experience overall.

We had 3.5 hours to kill on a layover and the airport was a lovely place to do it. If you can look past the consumerism, there’s some lovely spaces and interesting art. It can be quite a distance between gates, but there are some travellators to assist in making the walk a bit easier. I thought Singapore was a beautiful airport but Hamad is definitely just a little better.
