Nice temple with a lot of sculptures and ornaments typical of these temples. The roof area shines with an explosion of colours and architectural détails, unfortunately hard to appreciate in a full son. There is a nice udon noodles shop 50 m to your left when exiting the main te.ple entrance.

Hamasing Daitian Temple in Kaohsiung is a hidden gem that beautifully showcases Taiwan’s rich spiritual heritage. Dedicated to the Taoist deity Li Wangye, the temple’s intricate architecture, ornate carvings, and vibrant lanterns create a serene and captivating atmosphere. it’s a peaceful retreat where locals come to pray and visitors can experience traditional rituals. The temple’s connection to the seafaring community make it a meaningful stop for those exploring Kaohsiung’s cultural side.

This temple does not have a long history (built in 1950s) but it has paintings and calligraphy by famous Taiwanese artist. Check out the temple history showroom on the orange building next to the temple.

Beautiful Taoist temple with lots of artwork. Worth a visit with a local tour guide to appreciate historical details. The construction was funded by proceeds of fishermen ‘s catches.

Temple with many food vendors in the square, surrounded by the red colored two floors houses. Great dining experience.
