We stayed at a nearby hotel and this place restaurant was at such a convenient spot for us, especially with a 1 year old. The food , staff and service was top notch. Don’t forget to check the menu of the day. They have such a good variety of fish and delicious sides to go with it. Enjoy with a nice white wine. Recommend this restaurant!

Every time i am in Hamburg, this restaurant is a fixed evening dinner since years! Situated on city centre, you can eat excellent fish dishes "Hamburg art", at reasonable prices. A visit is a must!

Friendly & fast service combined with delicious & fresh food! My wife and I wanted to have quality sea food before our departure. We found this place shortly after we started our research. With an e-scooter, the location is round about 8 minutes away from the central station and if you walk back, you can enjoy the beauty of the city. As I said, the food is super tasty, the service was nice and quick and our two meals were really big! We would absolutely visit this place again!

Second time at this place. No disappointment. It was as great as the first time. I ordered a one liter heff weissen beer, Pretzels and pork nickel. The skin of the pork was so chrispy and delicious, it was the best park. I definitively recommend this restaurant.

Good hardy traditional fish dishes. Good and fast service on a Thursday evening. Easily accessible location near metro. We ordered the Hamburger Pan Fish and Coley Fillet in beer batter. Both were tasty and substantial portions.

Went to the restaurant with my work colleagues on a Sunday evening the food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The seafood is fresh and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will eat there again if I am ever in Hamburg again. I visited the restaurant again a year later and the food was excellent.

We really liked the food and also the waiter and waitress were very polite and nice.

Specialized fish place, I don’t like fish that much so order the Turkey Steak. Came in with very full plate with vegetables and potatoes. They had an English menu, but both waiter and cook (I believe the owners) barely speak English. I got a good « German » local experience and cozy location. I love to encourage local.

A hamburger in Hamburg. You know you wanna do it. Easy service with an tablet computer kinda contraption at the tables. Open space is bright and happy and a small bar downstairs completes the look. So many options (with an english menu too) to customize your burger however you want! Pro tip from this American: get the shoe string fries with it and enjoy.

Food was delicious! Portions were very satisfying. Cozy atmosphere and reasonably priced. Menu was available in English for those that travel as well!

Loved this place! It was cozy and chill. We wanted to try some local food and some dishes suggested to us by a tour guide earlier that day were Labskaus and Pannfisch, so that's what we ordered. The portion was huge! I was told scary things about how strongly Labskaus would taste but I really liked how flavorful and rich the dish was. The Pannfisch was also really well made. The fish itself was a bit dry but the sauce made up for that. Great first impression of Hamburg's local food and would definitely come here again to try other things on the menu when I have the chance.

Never imagined the food in Germany could be this good. Service was great even if there was a language barrier.

I had a late lunch during a very quiet time, so I have no idea how the service holds up on a busy Friday night or anything - but I had a lovely meal. The Duckstein was well-poured, the rösti was crispy and not greasy, the portion of ham accompanying it was generous, the mushroom-cream sauce pleasant, and the Tirolean apple streudel I had for dessert was superb (warm, flaky, judiciously spiced, served with ice cream, thick whipped cream, and a few raw apple and orange slices). I'd give it five stars if the menu were more inventive and/or the prices lower, but for a little slice of Hamburger cuisine on a street it's a real pleasure to walk down (the pedestrian-only Colonnaden), you could do a great deal worse!

It was good food and the advice was friendly. They did their best with English speaking guests and it was appreciated. I would return if I'm in Hamburg again. We had the salmon and whitefish, as one had the rump steak. All were good.

Very disapointing meal. Went there based on the write-ups. But: fish was far too cooked, sauces tasted just like out of the packet, sides were tasteless. Friendly but slow waiters.
