We attended a delightful whiskey tasting with Amelia. She is so passionate and knowledgeable that we were glued to her every word. Our specific tasting was an SMWS (Scottish Malt Whiskey Society) range. Delicious! It's definitely a must do when you're in or around Hermanus. It was a fantastic experience.

I took my mother to try their legendary croissant and we were warmly welcomed by the owner to shelter by the fire on a wet, windy day. The coffee, croissant and atmosphere were so lovely that we stayed for breakfast and did not regret ordering the BEST rosti with Eggs Benedict and smoked trout. Perfectly balanced flavours with hints of caper and diced tomato to freshen the dish..7/5 stars compared to the same dish I tried recently at The Station, and at The Marine. Truly the best breakfast I've ever eaten.

Hame's Mothers Day breakfast made for a very special & delicious start to the day. The food was perfect - both in taste & portions, yoghurt, granola and berry cup, scrambled egg with bacon / trout on the crispiest and lightest potato rosti, rocket & roasted baby tomatoes and a teatime stack of treats (pain au chocolat my favorite) served with mimosas & filter coffee. The welcome was so warm, it felt like you were in a home and the service was impeccable. It was my first visit...and I am sure it is the first of many !

We just loved our first dinner at this excellent restaurant in Hermanus. We were greeted by the lovely Becs who hails from Brooklyn, New York. This set the tone for a beautiful meal in a relaxed, atmospheric, setting. Take a look at my photos to see an excellent food presentation which mirrored the quality of the meal.

We had an amazing whiskey tasting pairing, with Becks - a very vibrant, knowledgeable and energetic host. She gave a very detailed history and breakdown of each bottle, answering our questions while opening us up to new experiences. Truly a hidden gem. Looking forward to going back!

Had a great Sunday brunch with my parents for Father's day. The American lady who served us was amazing and a real ray of sunshine. She's also really cute. ;)

The BEST breakfast in South Africa/anywhere!🥹 Loved our first visit here and will be a regular when in town. From the service from Becks to the food and the unique atmosphere. It has it all!

My favourite place in Hermanus! Quirky, original with lovely staff (love Becks!) They cater for vegans (vegan croissants with vegan butter as well as vegan options for bfast and lunch) sitting outside in the courtyard is lovely. Incredible pastries. Hame is home :)
