A more quiet little corner of the Versailles palace gardens that is only accessable via the Trianon or Petit Trianon entrances so tickets required! It is a fake peasant village build for the entertainment of Marie-Antoinette within the English Garden. Like a weird hobbit village! On the side are other typical garden features of the time.

Absolutely magical and unlike anything else at Versailles! The Queen’s Hamlet feels like stepping into a village – with charming cottages, a lake, and a peaceful countryside vibe. You can also find some animals there like rabbits and goats. It’s incredible to think this was built for Marie Antoinette as her personal escape from court life. The downside is only that you can’t enter the buildings. The area is perfect for a walk, with beautiful photo opportunities. Don’t skip it – it’s a true highlight of the Trianon Estate!

Magical small village at Versailles! It's just a short walk away from the Petit Trianon but so worth it. It felt like a completely different world from Versailles even on the same grounds. Make sure you don't miss this.

It is said to be the ideal village dreamed by Marie Antoinette. It felt unreal and like a fantasy world. It was very picturesque and beautiful, but extremely far! It takes about 40 minutes on foot from Versailles Palace.

A fairytale-like farm surrounded by gorgeous gardens and grounds. The farm animals and the buildings were amazing. Very gorgeous setting

What a lovely place, definitely set aside some time to take a walk there and admire when you're in Versailles! Adorable buildings and a small lake, the place is breaming with bridges and decorative architecture. Also, peaceful and almost empty compared to the main complex

Nice place to walk around step back in time. The grounds are massive. Google Maps helps tremendously with navigating the property. Much quieter area than the palace. Nice to get away from the crowds.

Yelp
Part of the estate of the Trianon at the Palace of Versailles. This is the Queens Hamlet commissioned by Marie Antoinette as a fashionable farm or sanctuary for herself. The grounds are absolutely quaint, peaceful and well designed to look like real country side. The lake is super cute and all the buildings surrounding the lake are created for function and style. Loved this place!

Yelp
This is off the palace of Versailles. It is adjacent to the smaller manors, private villas, and was part of the estate of King Louis VI and Marie Antoinette. You'll find pigs, goats, rabbits, and other farm animals. The goats are my favorite. This farm was a totally fake farm created by the queen just for fun and for her personal entertainment. Wow, it seems like she lost her head even before she lost her head. Great place to venture out though if you're sick of the gold-gilded rooms. The catfish in the pseudo-brook are the fattest I've seen, as they are fed a steady diet of Croissants by the constant stream of tourists.

Yelp
Cute, Despite Not Being Authentic Yes, it was created to appear as a working village for the benefit of the queen. Despite that - or because of it - this is a glimpse into the life of a prominent figure in French history.
