(Played 21/10/25) The course is phenomenal. Without doubt the hardest but most picturesque I have played.
The service however, leaves a lot to be desired.
The boat and welcome were great. The pro told us that a food and drink cart would meet us on the front and back nine, the bar would have sandwiches and snacks to buy at halfway and to enjoy the day. Got to halfway and went to the clubhouse to get something to eat…. There was 2 cherry ripes and a couple of bags of peanuts. When we asked if there were sandwiches or hot food to buy, we were rudely told, “no” by the man at the bar. When I asked could we get some sandwiches made, “no” was the direct answer! Back out on the course for the back nine and no food/drink cart in sight. When I questioned the pro when we got back he said that the FB staff were busy…. The were less than 20 people in the whole club! For a venue and course of this caliber and for the price you pay ($250) you do expect to be able to buy some food for lunch during a 5 hour round. The other point being they know exactly how many people are on the course well in advance due to having to book, at least cater for that many people.
Enjoy the golf, take snacks.
Edit: Looking through some recent reviews, it seems this is quite common. Maybe a change in manager/staff required.
