Super well taken care of when we were here, with all meals provided and sufficient rest time in between game drives. Highlight of the stay was definitely the game drives where we had a super experienced safari guide, Nicolas (we managed to see 4/5 of the Big Fives with him whooo). During the game drives, the hotel is connected via the radio (?) with two other hotels so that they can share intel as soon as they spot an interesting animal/sighting. You can also see many of the animals from the rooms. Food was delicious and the staff provided great service. Room is super clean and housekeeping was excellent. Do expect some insects here and there as you’re in the wild ;) Room for improvement: - Although there was a walkie talkie in the room, we were not able to reach the front desk with it. And we only realized it was because the front desk had their walkie talkie silenced (?). For the guests’ safety, it would be better if the walkie talkies could successfully connect us to the front desk in case of any emergencies esp at night. - The outdoor showers had no blinds and was super cold especially at night, would be great for guests’ privacy if blinds can be installed. - For a five-stars lodge, we felt that the standard of staff service could be improved. For example, the staff did not proactively check on the guests for refills of coffee/tea/orange juice during the breakfasts, which is quite normal for five-stars accomodations Overall still a very enjoyable stay here and we would highly recommend this place :)

We spent 3 nights here as part of a package via Luxury Escapes and were very impressed. The property is very private and has just 6 tented suites, so a maximum of 12 guests. The rooms were great, very comfortable beds, cosy outdoor deck area and I loved the outdoor shower. 3 meals a day plus morning coffee and afternoon tea included, very high quality food, we enjoyed every meal. 2 game drives per day in the morning and evening with very knowledgeable guides. We were very lucky and saw the big 5 plus many others during our stay. Kruger and Hamiltons exceeded all of my expectations, I would definitely recommend.

Coming to Safari was always a bucket list item for me, and Hamitons provided a great experience to my time in Kruger. Everything was perfect! The food was incredible. I think I gained 5 pounds! The safari adventures, both early morning and later afternoon, were well done by a very knowledgeable person (thanks, Kingsley). Our Tent (room) was comfortable living. The "boardwalk to this location was interesting! Everything was well done from start to finish. I would not hesitate to come back again to Hamiltons. Thanks, Hamiltons, for a great time!

Breathtaking, magical and unforgettable. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could stay forever! Our rooms with private plunge pools looked out on elephants, giraffes, hippos, Cape Buffalo, crocs and lions we. We were lucky enough to see the big 5 (yes a leopard as well) in the first 2 days!! Nick our safari guide was a legend! 5 star service all the way staff were friendly and always attentive! The food was AMAZING we are coming back!!

This is a truly elegant, stunning lodge with gourmet meals, excellent service and an old world atmosphere. Candlelight dinners on the verandah with linen tablecloths and vases of roses. A river in front of you and animals coming and going all day to the waterhole. An elevated walkway passing elephants, giraffe and antelope on your way to your room. Exquisite and highly recommended.

I stayed at Hamilton’s Tented Camp for three nights in July as a couple, and it was hands down one of the most incredible travel experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for the ultimate authentic-but-luxurious South African safari experience, this is it. From the moment we arrived, the staff made sure every detail was taken care of. Warm, attentive service managed by Thomas that went above and beyond without ever feeling forced. The tented suites are absolutely stunning—spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It’s all the adventure of being in the wild, without sacrificing a bit of luxury. The camp offers two safari drives each day (morning and evening, about 3 to 3.5 hours each), and you’re right in the heart of Kruger National Park the moment you leave camp. No long drives from the park gates—it’s all happening right there. You genuinely feel like you have the park to yourself, and the early morning drives gave us the first chance to spot the Big 5 before the crowds even entered the park. Huge shout out to Hali the safari guide who is a true subject matter expert in tracking, all things bush and just fun guy to hang out with. The food deserves a special mention. We came in with realistic expectations, but the chefs at Hamilton’s blew us away. This isn’t “camp gourmet” this is actual fine dining, three times a day, with carefully thought-out menus and multiple options at every meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. If you have the budget, staying here is miles ahead of the typical lodge experience, whether it’s outside the park or even one of the other lodges onsite. Hamilton’s delivers the kind of once-in-a-lifetime luxury safari that you dream about—and then actually exceeds those dreams.

This experience is unlike any other! I lett not wanting to say goodbye to any of the staff or guides! We could all take a note from this book! How can all of these animals live in harmony together, but we humans can’t!? I will never ever forget this experience or these people! Thank you to our guide Nic, you are truly an amazing human! Thank you to Silence, Jan, Thomas, Daniel, and everyone else! I feel like a piece of my heart was left here, and I hope I come back to it one day!
