Nice, affordable basic rooms. Right in town with easy access to shops and restaurants all in very short walking distance. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable. The room was very clean. Had a nice sized room refrigerator/freezer. I would absolutely stay here again.

Google
Positive: The staff were amazing. Very courteous, helpful, and just delightful to talk to. They are good ambassadors for Solvang and the hotel. We also liked having the bikes available. And finally (this is a funny one) I loved the sink. Negative: The front room #4 had street traffic starting around 6:00 am. But the staff was very good about switching our room.

This place is lovely! We stayed for the weekend in the king size room and it was perfect. Not only is the location great but also the staff. Emma who was the receptionist was so kind and warm she made us feel right at home. If you’re heading to solvang definitely check out this Inn.

The room is clean and meet our expectations. The furnishing match its price. It is not luxury but has the bit of Danish feeling. Impressive. It also has hot water kettle, fridge, microwave and instant coffee. Pretty nice. The service is fine and we did not interact directly with them. We used contactless check in and was given the password by sms. The location is very convenient! No breakfast, but across the street you have two great options (pastry and pancake) for breakfast. Definitely I would stay here again If the price is good.

We had a family suite in this little hotel in Solvang. The price was amazing for 4 people (if you don’t mind just having 1 bathroom). The aircon was the problem for us. It’s next to one bed and that bed got very warm but the warmness never reached the other end of the room where the other bed was. I slept extremely cold the entire night and caught a flu the next day. The housekeeping left unfinished drink from previous guests in the refrigerator. Other than these, everything else was lovely.

Perfect location in the heart of Solvang. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helped us find parking. Great rooms for the price. Would stay again.

This was our first time staying at the Hamlet Inn. We booked a King Bed using our Wells Fargo Rewards points, which uses Booking.com. |We called to see if we could check in early. The person on duty said yes, and the door code had been texted to us. No, it hadn't. We arrived at the property and found out the door code was texted to the Booking.com number, not our phone number, which was on the reservation. |We were given Room #4, which faces the main road through town. It was the noisiest room I've stayed in in the Santa Ynez Valley. You could hear EVERY SINGLE CAR GO BY and EVERY PERSON who was talking when they walked by our window. I might have well just set up a tent in the park down the street. (I used earplugs to try to cut down the noise, but it didn't help much. The sound went right through the single-pane windows.)|It turns out that if you book a room on the Hamlet Inn website, you can select your room, but using Booking.com doesn't give you that option, so you are relegated to the worst rooms. (As a rule, we don't use Booking.com or similar sites, but we wanted to use our credit on this trip.)|We had to turn off the room air-conditioner because the bright 'On' indicator shone straight down onto the bed. On the plus side, I only had to kill one ant in the bathroom.|The only reason this isn't a one-star review is that we were able to check in a half hour early, and the bed was comfortable, even if I didn't get much sleep.

Google
My wife and I recently spent a night at the Hamlet Inn. We enjoyed our stay and found the room clean and comfortable. The location was easy to get to and there was ample free parking. The whole town of Solvang was easily accessible on foot from the Inn. Definitely recommend the Danish breakfast at Olsen’s Bakery across the street. Other reviewers have noted road noise. While you could hear a little noise if you really listened, we didn’t find it to be an issue. I initially had a bit of a problem getting the room to lock. Turned out to be 100% me, but the front desk staff was super friendly and responsive. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again if we returned to Solvang!

Yelp
Stayed for one night in late October. Room rate with taxes & fees was just under $100.00. Thought we'd really be taking a chance on the quality/cleanliness of the room, but was pleasantly surprised. The room and property were clean & maintained. Very basic accommodation, but it was safe and clean. I wouldn't mind staying again. The walls were pretty thin so we could hear our neighbors listening to the Worldseries game, but once it was quiet hours, it quieted down. There weren't a lot of outlets, but for just one night it was fine. Stayed in Room 12. The room had a fun theme. In the morning we saw bicycles near the lobby that looked like they may be available to use for guests. The Inn is right across the street from a Danish bakery and a brewery restaurant.

Yelp
Best check in experience, I think more places should do this got a text before check in with the room code and a note to text the cars license plate number so you don't have to go to the desk at all. The place is nice on the west side of town. If I stay here again I would not want the same room, room #3 was small and the bathroom was very small which is an issue when you're 6'2" and the toilet is sort of crammed in the corner. It looked like the other rooms were laid out much better. The bed was too stiff and the fridge was noisy. Now none of these would prevent me from staying here again for the price I was happy. These were just things that stood out based on my experiences at several other hotels of similar price range in Solvang.

Yelp
For the price of this hotel it is great! Check in through your phone and there is a key pad to get into your room, which is super convenient because who needs extra key cards you forgot to return! Our room looked nicely updated with a huge shower. There is a closet area that had a mini fridge and coffee station. We had a couch and two chairs under a bar top that faces out the parking lot. Perfect seating if you need to work but the internet connection wasn't great. There's outdoor seating if you want to enjoy a glass of wine. We were bummed they are not dog friendly since it's such a dog friendly town, but there are a few other welcoming hotels nearby. Parking was great and it's centrally located off the main road, it's a short walk to all of the local tasting rooms, restaurants, shops and mission. And again, you can't beat the price!

Yelp
We stayed here for Christmas weekend, so price wise .. it was pretty pricey; but worth it. The location is very convenient. Close to restaurants, shops, park and more. It's also in a pretty safe area and we had no issues with parking. The front desk older lady was so kind and sweet to let us check in 2 hours earlier. She also gave us a 2 for 1 wine tasting passports and a few other recommendations. Checking in was a breeze. You can pre-register online and they give you the code to your room as well as charge your room the morning of. We were given room 11, and for a family of 3; it was perfect. It was basically a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom mini apartment (minus the kitchen) Includes basic amenities; 2 TVs, small desk, coffee, 2 bottled waters, mini fridge, soap, shampoo, etc. what you would expect from a small inn/motel. No breakfast or pool/jacuzzi; but they do have a small outdoor seating area and bicycles free to rent. Now the cons: we had 1 AC which located in a separate room that didn't work. Thankfully the weather was perfect and we didn't need it, but without opening most of the windows, it can get pretty hot and stuffy in the room. The beds unfortunately were not comfortable and at all. Neither were the pillows. We had to stack several because of how flat they were. Also not sure if there was a room with stairs, but around 1-1:30am we could hear very loud footsteps and our neighbors conversations which made it pretty difficult to get a good nights rest. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Mark R.

Yelp
Check in was easy and flawless. The room was spacious but a bit outdated. The small shelf in the bathroom was something I hit my head on twice. Also, I was not 100% comfortable nor sure if people on the street couldn't see us in the bathroom at night despite the obscure window covering. Also since no drapes or blinds to make it dark if either my wife or I got up late at night or early to use the rest room the street lights shined into the room--which was OK to use the bathroom without a light since the light & fan switches were on the outside. Grrr. The mini split system was very quiet and very comfortable as well as easy to control. No dresser so all our clothes were either hung up on an open bar with hangers or left in our suit case. A small couch to sit on was comfortable. There is lots of room for more furniture so why not have a small chest of drawers?? For the price I would stay at a nicer hotel. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay but won't be back.

Yelp
Great budget motel to stay in Solvang. It's right across from Paula's Pancake house and Olsen bakery. We stayed at Room #2 which was their smallest room but it worked fine for us. The room and shower were both warm and cozy. We didn't hear much noise apart from our neighbors coming and leaving. Would stay here again!

Yelp
Hamlet Inn is a cute little hotel in the heart of Solvang. We booked a 2 queen bed room and it was actually 1 queen & 1 king bed! The decor was minimalist, but pretty clean. There were maybe only two outlets and we didn't have a usb hub. The hotel had cords to lend, but not the hub to outlet connector (all hotels we stayed at during our whole road trip had usb outlets so we never needed to bring one with us). The stay itself was fine, but the walls and window sills could have used a little extra TLC (had dust). Pros: *Check in/check out was super convenient (via text) *The staff is also available and pretty responsive via text (during business hours) *Free breakfast vouchers are offered for the local bakery across the street (they don't leave in your room, you have to ask for it) *Price was affordable for in the heart of Solvang! *AC did its job and kept the room cool Cons: *Curtains were Not completely black out curtains *The entry door could have used a screen door, bugs flew in at night each time we had to open the door *Loud AC (yiu can't heart yourself think) I would stay again if vacationing in Solvang.

Yelp
Check Inn Booked a two-night stay through their website (which was cheaper than Booking.com, fwiw) for $199/night** for a quickie two-night stay. The Good: *Contact-free check-in; they email you the code to the room. *Hassle-free code to enter the room, which means no worrying about whether you grabbed your keycard before you leave. *You can text with the front desk instead of having to call or go talk to them. *Internet speed wasn't great, but we were able to stream without issue, never had connection problems, and the signal was strong enough that I was even able to use it at Paula's (across the street) one morning while we ate breakfast. *Fantastic location in the heart of downtown Solvang with everything one could want within 1/4-Mile walk at the most. *Pillows are large and sturdy *Highly recommend Room #1 (aka King + Queen View Room); you'll have some stairs to climb, but it's large, spacious, and no neighbors above, below or to the side of you. #PeaceandQuiet *Free parking *Great Solvang/Danish inspired décor inside the room and the exterior of the hotel itself. *Shower took forever to get hot, but the water pressure was fantastic. *AC/Heater seemed to work fine *Complimentary bicycle rental (didn't partake) *Mini-fridge in room The Meh: *Rooms are still carpeted, as opposed to hardwood/vinyl, which is fast becoming the norm even at the cheapest hotels. *42" Vizio TV was fine, but in our room (Room #1), it was positioned oddly between the two beds. *Bed was hard as a rock. Carissa and her son didn't seem to mind it, but I did. So take that fwiw. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *Check-in time 4 p.m awful late, but we were able to check-in at 2 p.m. thanks to their handy texting feature. *Lacks some amenities of most modern hotels such as an ice machine, gym, breakfast, etc. The Ugly: *Coffee is a complete joke. They have instant coffee packets w/ a hot water heater. Bring your own coffee if you're like me and need your coffee first thing in the morning. TLDR: 4.5* but would be 5* if the best was more comfortable. However, overall, it is a great place to stay when visiting Solvang. **These are offseason prices (November); I'm sure the price is much, much higher during the summer months.

Yelp
This inn is welcoming. clean, comfortable, conveniently located in the middle of town, next to the park, easy walking distance to everything, parking close to each room, ground level, and has rental bikes. Its a great value.

Yelp
Stayed in Room 12, and I loved it!!! The room is much bigger that the pictures they have on their website! It's super cute and well themed! It was nice and quiet too! I love that the door is by code, so there's no need to check in to get a key as they text you the code to your room. My only complaint is that the pillows are super flat, so I had to stack 2 of them to have it the right firmness. Overall, super loved this inn!

Yelp
We drove from Northern California down to Solvang for a relaxing getaway. Prior to booking with Hamlet Inn, we called them twice to confirm that they are dog friendly (we have a lab). Following confirmation, we booked the rooms. As soon as we got to the Inn, we were confronted with a rude lady who told us that they don't take dog and are not pet friendly. Then she claimed that we were lying about calling and that we didn't call their Inn. Now, we've had a dog for over 3 years and travel with him at least once a month. As any dog parent would know, you always confirm a place is dog friendly before booking and taking your pet. The worst thing wasn't that the Inn decided to give us conflicting information. Worst was that the lady was so incredibly rude that she didn't even once apologize for the inconvenience and continued to tell us were we lying and wrong. I will NEVER come to this Inn again and would not recommend it to any friends, family, pet parent or fellow traveler.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. $90 a night was super affordable, and it was the beginning of May, which I think is pretty peak season. The person at the front desk was super pleasant and accommodating, even when she was out of the office. The location was pretty central. Also, the room was beautiful, you can log in to your streaming services on the TV if that's what you're into, and the soaps/conditioner were super high quality.

Katie P.

Yelp
Nice, basic accommodations. It was very clean and large and the beds were comfy, but that's basically it in the room-- no other furniture. This could be a good thing if you have a pack and play to set up! A/C was old and not super effective (no fan) which made the room hot, but this is NBD depending on the time of year you stay. Soap smelled great and bathroom/towels were clean and basic. Check-in and parking were easy, and the location is perfect--right in the middle of the best restaurants + everything is walkable from here. All in all a very positive experience! I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Value option for Solvang The rooms are decorated in the Danish-modern style - so minimalistic, with only the bare essentials. We don't feel that the rooms were configured very well, there are very few places for you to store your things and the beds were placed in such a way that we had to dodge the light fittings, TV and bench top. The floors are plywood and tile, which is probably great for summer but we visited in winter, so they were icy. The reverse-cycle air-conditioner was very loud so we had to turn it off to sleep. On the plus side, the motel is in a terrific location right in the centre of town and even though there is contactless check-in, the staff are very quick to respond to any queries via text or Booking.com messages. This is probably the best value option if you are visiting Solvang on a budget

Craig W.

Yelp
5 stars for a small motel? Why sure. It's attractive, clean, and located right in the heart of town. The bathroom is good-sized and there's a mini-fridge, too. Best part? When other similar hotels and motels were going for a little under $200 a night, we scored a room here for just about $100, including tax. You can't beat that. So, yeah, 5 stars.

Katherine S.

Yelp
Such an amazing stay! Loved the communication before check-in where they emailed AND texted the check-in instructions to you. The room is very clean and comes with all the essentials (fridge, kettle, bottled water, tea bags and coffee, soap, towels...). There is parking available right outside. The location is amazing - walkable distance to everything (Paula's Pancake House is right across the street).

Colby D.

Yelp
My roommate and I checked in to the Hamlet Inn for a little vacation from work. We had both seen pictures of Solvang throughout the years and had always wanted to check it out...so we finally made plans to back in October. Since we were just staying for a few days and driving from not-too-far-away, we looked to stay in a cheap and comfortable motel that was within walking distance of the majority of stores. The motel that fit closest to our needs, and was aesthetically pleasing to boot, was the Hamlet Inn. The free bike rentals were a definite plus, especially during COVID. We opted for a room with two Queen beds, which included a mini fridge, a couch and coffee table, and a flat screen tv with cable. The bathroom was tight and only allowed for one person at a time, and the shower was quite small too (I would probably bring shower sandals). Overall the place was pretty clean, though we did have to request new towels because there was overlooked hair from a past guest on one towel. Management got on it right away though, and the rest of our stay was fine. This is the perfect place if you are traveling light, looking for somewhere just to sleep and shower, and like a themed room.

DJ. N.

Yelp
This review is ONLY for room #2 on the second level. Feels link a prison. The only window is tiny 1.5ft x 2ft and located at 2ft off the ground. If you turn on the light in the bathroom it lights up the whole room. Extremely small space. Bathroom was clean but the floor in the room was dirty. Great location. You no longer get a voucher for a pastry/beverage. You do get a discount for wine tasting. Loved the no contact check-in.

Karen D.

Yelp
I took my mom on a little trip and part of it was 2 days in Solvang. We stayed at the Hamlet in and just loved it. It was centrally located and our room was perfect. It was immaculate and so comfortable. The staff at the reservation desk were so nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Jane M.

Yelp
Convenient location, but very budget oriented. Not enough lamps or lighting in the room. Pillows are rock hard, There is no ice machine or other amenities. We paid way too much for 3 nights at Thanksgiving, but holiday rates were in effect.

Michael P.

Yelp
Cute. Quaint. Great place to stay. Right in the middle of the Solvang action. I love the little reading area as well.

Les S.

Yelp
My wife and I generally like to stay at Hadsten House or Hotel Corque when we are staying in Solvang, but for our most recent trip we needed a more family-accommodating place for our 6 year old. This place seemed to fit the bill because it has several units with two beds. Location and price are also great. It's centrally located in the heart of Solvang. I priced out few other places in the area but this one seemed to offer the best deal. It also gives you a voucher for free pastries and drinks across the street at Olsen's Danish Village Bakery, although the selection is limited with the voucher. It's one free pastry per guest and a choice of coffee, milk, or tea for drink option. Overall, I thought the place was quite good. The room we selected, unit 11, is on the corner of the place so it offered little more privacy. From the picture on the website, I thought the two beds would be next to each other, but they were actually separated with another room within the unit, so it was like having two mini rooms. Each room had a small flat screen TV but AC unit was only available in one room. The other room only had a heater. Bathroom was small but had all the necessary essentials and enough area to put all our toiletries. Shower was a bit cramped though, and the shower head was placed quite high so it was difficult to give our kid a shower. I did like having a small window in the bathroom. Not sure if all the units have one, or if it was just in our unit due to where it's located. Decor is minimal, Danish style, but very functional. There were plenty of places to place our clothes. I liked the numerous wall hooks to hang our clothes. Parking is available on the premise but doesn't seem like there are enough spots to accommodate all guests (when fully occupied). I counted about 12 or 13 units but only saw about 11 parking spaces. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. I took off a star because this place could use little more maintenance. One of the window screens was falling off on our unit, and the mini refrigerator in the room kept making loud noise every once in a while. My wife had trouble sleeping because of this.

Angela B.

Yelp
This place was amazing. We checked in for a one night stay. Key was already under the door for an easy contactless check in. We were even able to check in early to get out of the heat. This room was so cute , clean and recently updated with the cutest window desk so I could still work remote while here. Hotel is centrally located and in walking distance of everything !! Brewery and bakery right across the street. Hotel even had bikes for free to use for their guests. Will definitely be staying again .

Joan R.

Yelp
The decor is not senior friendly. The bathroom is very small and the toilet was so low that I had to hold onto the sink in order to get up from it. I also found the bed to be low as well.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Cute, themed room with free parking and contactless interactions. It was right across the street from local shops/a brewery and within walking distance to a number of other establishments. Would def stay again for a short getaway!

Meg M.

Yelp
With 20 or less rooms at this Inn you really get the personal attention you need, if you need it. Everything was contactless such as checking in etc. I liked that we could text the front desk office for things we may have needed or had questions about. The rooms are all a bit different, I'd suggest calling if you're concerned about which room is which etc before booking. We had no issues with our air conditioner it was nice and cool! We went in May, the weather in Solvang was perfect if not just a tad warm during the day. It was chilly at night. All in all we loved our room for our group of 2 adults and 2 kids and would stay here again. Parking on site was nice. Location was superb and in walking distance of all the shops. We did get free pastries from across the street from the hotel via vouchers. We had a large group staying here and there was definitely inconsistencies in which pastries they allowed for who. I'd rec the cheese danish!! This Inn is an excellent choice.

Barbara M.

Yelp
Overall...GREAT experience! We were in Room 11 and it was super cute, cozy and comfortable. What would have helped was a few more hooks in the bathroom for towels and a small broom for the room. There are hardwood floors and the floor got a little gritty from our shoes. It would have been awesome to have a small broom to quickly sweep up the grit. On the plus side: Emily was super helpful at the front desk. The hotel has bikes to use and she was only on her 3rd day of work and had never done the bikes before but did what she needed to do to set us up! She was very nice, friendly and helpful! The bikes were super fun! They also have this cute little gazebo with chairs and tables and we sat outside in the shade and played card games and enjoyed people watching. And you can't beat the location! And the rooms have a door code to enter so you never have to worry about forgetting your key! On the con side: Our room had 2 bedrooms...one near the front and one in the back. The back room had a door that closed so it was super quiet. The front room was exposed to some street noise and noise from the tv next door and I know my friend was bothered a little bit by the extra noise. Also, we were going to pay in cash and they don't take cash. They charged my friend's debit card that she had used to make the reservation on the first day we were there and she was caught off guard by that. Normally you are charged on the day you leave...or so we thought? The cons were not enough to make it a bad experience. We loved our stay and would recommend checking it out!

Singi D.

Yelp
Stayed 2 nights, it's definitely more of a motel than an inn. For $240 a night, it was not bad given the are prices, but very limited amenities. Free bike rentals, wifi coffee & pastry was a nice touch. I echo most of the positive reviews others have written. My only complaint is for the price, they really need to replace their linens more often. The white towels were frail, discolored and heavily used. They were clean, both sets I used, but not that fresh look or feel. This can't be that expensive. I was too afraid to check under the covers but bedsheets were very thin, not properly staying on the bed and discolored. Everything else was fine.

Barry h.

Yelp
Me and my Gf stayed here for the first time last year in June of 2022. What a charming little place! We LOVED IT! The lady at the front desk was Very sweet and nice! Asked if we could have an earlier check in and she accommodated us no problem! She even offered us noodles from the office when we went in search of food late night lol . Very generous! The cleaning ladies were very nice as well. This place is in the heart of solvang! It's near everything! Would definitely recommend ! Will be back!

Ko T.

Yelp
Unexpected pleasant surprise of how great this inn is. A last minute one night get-a-way weekend with my wife for my birthday. Booked it through booking.com for $164.90 a night all inclusive, I had no idea what to expect. I am glad we stayed at this place because the room was nice and clean. The lady at the reception was super friendly and helpful. We were offered breakfast voucher good for two of us at Olsen's Danish Bakery and Coffee Shop, across the street from this inn. The voucher is good for a pastry and coffee for each of us. I thought that was pretty neat to offer us like this. Much appreciated. Will recommend anyone to this inn and we will stay here again.

Lukas S.

Yelp
Stayed here while road tripping up the coast. The location could not have been better in reference to the town. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfy. The staff gave us a wine tasting menu with a discount to try what was around town. That was very helpful! There was a dog in the front office that was NOT happy to see us. But other than that great stay!

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Cute little Inn right in the heart of Solvang. Stayed here one night for my 9 year Anniversary. It's right across the street from the famous Paula's Pancake House. And within walking distance of everything. They also have bikes you can take out. They also give you a complementary Breakfast Voucher for Olsen's Danish Village Bakery and Coffee Shop. Didn't use it but it was nice.

Bruce H.

Yelp
Great bang for the buck. Clean and centrally located. Motel style with direct access to your car so it's great if you need to fairy lot's of stuff into your room. Complex is single story so no worries about someone clomping around above you. Rooms are stark but they are going after a clean scandia style. I saw a couple of complaints about the shower not getting hot; you can't peg the control all the way to hot, back it back a little, it will get hotter than you can handle. I've been hotel'n it for a while and have had the same issues before.

Paul K.

Yelp
I do know what no frills mean, but our stay at the Hamlet Inn wasn't the best, even for no frills. Here's a hint, try vacuuming, the floors were filthy. The couch had residue from god knows what. Patch holes in the wall, picture below. Noise level was extreme. Street and the heat/ A/C unit as other reviewers shared, does not bode well for a good nights rest. Bed was way too firm for my liking. Just fyi, some like beds that way. As much as I love that they offered coffee in the room, the creamer was very old and taste terrible. In all, they're smart for using "contactless" check in, we went to the office where the door was open and no one was to be found. My guess is they know how bad things are, and they don't want to here it from their guest. To charge what they charged for this questionably highly rated Inn, is kind of mind blowing to me. We love what Solvang represents and offers, but this particular place is one I'll avoid at all cost, literally.

Cindy G.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great stay here. Our room was cute, very clean, and nice amenities. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Allison H.

Yelp
Such a lovely experience! We were on the way home from New Mexico after my husband's uncle passed away unexpectedly. We could have made it all the way home, but I could see in my husbands eyes that he needed a night to just relax before we got home and back into the swing of our busy lives. We decided Solvang was be a fun little spot to rest. I found the Hamlet Inn on Priceline for an incredible mid/late week price, so I jumped on it. Of course, I checked out Yelp first to make sure the reviews were decent. They were. Right after I booked the room, I received an email from the hotel telling me that because of the Covidz, they modified their check-in process to be self check-in and the room key would be under the mat in front of our door. Awesome! When we arrived, we were able to snag a parking spot literally right in front of the room. The key was under the mat with a nice little note. When I opened the door, I was in love! We stayed in room 4, which had a king size bed with a Scandinavian style bench at the foot of the bed, a sofa, a built-in desk which had a view of the main street in Solvang. The bathroom was newly remodeled with a large shower. Everything was clean and fresh. My husband noticed the restroom only had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper in it, so I called the number listed on the information sheet. The woman that answered was super nice and came right over with extra TP. A few hours later, my husband whom refuses to courtesy flush (mega-eye-roll) clogged up the toilet, so again we had to call that emergency number to request a plunger. Without any hesitation and a cheery voice, the same lady said that she'd be over shortly with a plunger. I suspect she may have been the owner of this place. Now, I dont know if your believe in places having an "energy" to them. But let me tell you that this hotel room had a calming, peaceful and warm feeling/energy. I suffer from anxiety, but that whole night, I had not one ounce of anxiety about anything. Both my husband and I commented at breakfast how well be both slept and how rested we felt. 10 out of 10, go book this place!

Yelp
Cute place that's located right in the heart of Solvang. Very clean. The floors/bathroom seemed newly updated. Bathroom had a heating fan as well which is a cool bonus. Front desk staff was very nice. I'd stay here again for sure.

Yelp
Location was the best you could possibly get in Solvang.. room could use a little updating but still nice most people I'm sure.. parking lot was close to the rooms and was safe from drifters.. came with a breakfast from across the street..

Yelp
This is a cozy, beautiful inn at the center of Solvang. We checked in here on Jan. 22-23, 2021. We enjoyed our stay here, however, on the day that we are going to checkout-- we were unpleasantly surprised that someone was entering our room with her own key around 9:00 am. We informed the front desk and spoke with a certain Melissa and said she thought the room was not occupied. So, she gave the key to another guest. This should not have happened if the room occupancy was checked first. This is first and foremost important to ensure the safety of hotel guests especially during this pandemic. Hoping this would not happen again since we really love the location of this inn. Responsibly checking room occupancy before handing keys to hotel guests is vital to ensure safety.

Yelp
Perfect location, reasonably priced, reliable WiFi, safe, met all our needs!! This inn had everything we needed for a nice getaway to gorgeous Solvang. Breakfast of coffee, tea or milk and choice of danish across the street at Olsen's was included. Shower had good pressure albeit slow drain. There was a fridge and coffeemaker, a couch and a comfortable queen bed. They have bikes too and a slew of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We will most definitely return and recommend this highly!!

Yelp
10/10 recommend! I found this place on Air Bnb but ended up booking through their website. This was my first time booking a room (surprise for my boyfriend) and it was such a breeze! We stayed for one night and only paid $90! I expected a motel-style room for such an affordable price, but it was beautiful. Check-in/out was contactless which made our stay super convenient. I've stayed in many inns and hotels and was surprised to see this room had a fridge and microwave! (We like to reheat our leftovers in the middle of the night lol!) The best part was the inn is located right in the middle of town so no need to drive! We walked around so much and it was amazing. I highly recommend taking a night stroll as the town is completely empty but the lights are still on and it's just beautiful!

Yelp
Minimalistic and clean motel, offering an incredible village location, plus free bike rental, and best of all: all ground floor with nobody above! No stomps, no bangs, no booms, no 3am parades. Jen in front office is very accommodating, though they leave promptly at 10pm. Hamlet Inn. Get room 2B. Or not 2B. Update: the ground in the west wing feels like it is on one big piece of hollow sheet metal, so you will hear the echoing stomps of your neighbor's every footstep as though we're all staying on one giant tom tom drum. If that doesn't bother you, you'll love it.

Yelp
Every four five star review for the hamlet is true!!! This place is awesome and in close proximity of everything that is awesome in solvang! It is seven minutes from ostrich land in one direction and the Chumash casino twelve minutes away in the other direction. Not only does it provide a cute decor, it comes with free breakfast at Olsens and free bike rentals. Free breakfast gets you one Danish that comes with milk, tea, or coffee. Paula's is right across the street. We put our names down, chill in the room for a bit, and get back in time for our names to be called! The staff here is really friendly and helpful. We asked for a towel change and not only did they replace the towels, they also gave us more toiletries. This place is charming and equipped with a tv, ac, and a mini fridge! In the day time it's nice and cool inside :)

Yelp
I love everything about this cozy hotel!! Love the room and the ambiance! It's right in the middle of town so you can go everywhere by foot. The front desk lady was totally awesome!! Super kind and super helpful!!! The room clean and super nice!!! We had our parking spot in front of our room too. They gave us a coupon to get breakfast/pastries on the bakery across the street!! So a great hotel to stay right in the heart of this beautiful Danish town!!!

Yelp
This is the coolest most delightful value priced motel I have ever experienced. The mood is bright and energetic and the natural woods and simple lines of the furniture balance the bright colors beautifully. Every detail is charming and the modern leaning continues on to the bathroom fixtures. It also feels like one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever seen. Management is obviously caring and it shows. Hotel well located in downtown Solvang which is not particularly noisy, although the construction of the walls also seems protective of unwanted sound. AC works very well which can count in the summer months of Solvang. I landed here at the end of a 14 hour day spent with long distance movers in a tiny apartment on a 90 degree day, as I make my way to my new home. The difference between the way I felt last night (weary and drained) and the way I feel this morning (great!) has to be credited to my wonderful stay at the Hamlet Inn. Stay here-you won't be sorry.

Yelp
Came up for a getaway and try enjoyed our time. The room we stayed in had 2 sleeping rooms, each with their own TV (great for the kids). The rooms were clean and decorated in a nice modern Danish theme. The free breakfast is from Olsens Bakery and Coffee Shop across the street, a good way to still offer the service during Covid19.

Yelp
