A 48-Hour Itinerary for Córdoba, Spain

"Hammam Al Ándalus offers a bath experience reminiscent of the 600 baths that existed in Córdoba during the caliphate. Located on Calle Corregidor Luis de la Cerda, it includes thermal baths and spa treatments such as a traditional kessa massage, ending with a relaxing massage using essential oils."

Pretty amazing experience! I get that Cordoba is full of amazing things to do and this is not a cheap experience but if you are here and it’s a rainy day… two hours of pure bliss and peace! We didn’t try the massages but the pools and the sauna are pretty spectacular! I also really appreciated how well stocked the showers and vanities are!

Google
A lovely experience to kick off our vacation! My only feedback is, if you’re looking to save some dollars the massages aren’t worth the extra amount. They were good and relaxing, but not the best we had ever had. Overall, we were happy with our experience: MIMMA30.

The people you meet make the best stories! This is a spectacular place to go, remarkable architecture, very professional service and a little oasis for yourself. Very clean, staff are amazing, everyone is respectfully quiet, you can sink into calm with all your senses! The products are amazing which you can sample or purchase. I visited the one in Granada last summer, then simply had to try Malaga and Cordoba- all are worth it! Plan to book ahead by a couple of days (or in high season book a few weeks ahead) and spend 2 hours pampering yourself in a place rich with history and self care!

This is a must - what an experience! I’ve never felt so relaxed and the massage was amazing… thank you Antonio! They have thought of everything even down to bags for your swimming costumes after the baths.

Stunning place, really sweet staff. We thought we had 1h30 in the Hamman but it s the entire experience so make sure you come early. Lovely products in the changing room. Will recommend this place for sure 💟

This is how you create a spa experience! Every time I go to a spa, any spa, I always come out thinking about a couple of things that didn't quite work for me or that could have been better....until I came to Hammam Al Andalus in Córdoba. The spa experience is an absolute 10/10 from beginning to end: the welcoming from the staff as you enter the front door, the temperature throughout the entire facility, the cleanliness, the design of the thermal areas and the bathroom, the quality of the water in the baths, the relaxing lighting...a truly relaxing experience for the body and the mind. This is the first time in my life where I truly enjoyed every single second of my spa experience and I left wanting to come back. Thank you for such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience!

We were some of the last ones in and did an hour massage and bath treatment. Absolute Heaven. Amazing and recommend.

IT’S AN ABSOLUTELY MUST! We make sure to visit each time we are in Cordoba. Nothing brings us more relaxation than Hammam Al Andalus. It’s like stepping back in time. The atmosphere, the music, the lighting, the candles, the tea, the different temperatures baths and the steam room make for a truly magical experience. In a world of social media, people everywhere and loud noises it is a welcome scape from the hustle and bustle. Silence and no phones allow you to really relax. We always like to finish with a 15’ scrub and 30’ massage. Yesterday Mari Ángeles was fantastic and very accommodating with my back issues. All the staff is very attentive and friendly. All the premises are very clean and new. Spacious changing room with amenities for you to use. We can’t wait to be back!!

Yelp
I'm the type of traveler where I won't feel guilty for having chill days. Yes, days where its okay not to be sightseeing and crossing stuff off the list. Days where you can enjoy a spa/massage, take a nap, and eat your way through town. This spa is hands down the most enchanting spa I've ever been to. The baths are like roman baths with columns, arches and marble floors. There are real candles throughout with non tacky relaxing music (soundtrack to fantasy video games). Its co-ed so everyone wears a swimsuit. They have a sauna room, cold bath, hot bath and warm pool. It feels like being transported back in time.

Yelp
What an experience. If there is one thing you must do after a long day of walking is to go here and experience the Hammam. My recommendation is to book this about an hour after dinner. They're open to midnight and dinner is usually at 9 or so - so wear yourself out and then indulge. Absolute serenity, peace and calmness will come over you. Lots of pools with natural spring water to soak in. There is an advisor who gives you a method of how to enjoy the baths. Warm, hot, cold then steam room. Do it! Your body will hate the cold bath but your mind will thank you. The facilities are top notch, clean, modern, and fully loaded. Shampoo, creams, towels - it's all in. Very reasonable price, friendly service, delicious tea and yummy chocolate. I paid €88 euros for 1.5 hours, including a 30min massage. As a Canadian - this was more than amazing! Enjoy!

Yelp
Was in the city for a day and thought to end our tour with massages. Online I booked for the wrong city only to call them and get in...but not for massages just soaking. Relatively convoluted location to find but once there they had decent service. The pools are incredible! Way better than Madrid by far much more exotic feeling. Wish we had time for massages but alas we had to get back to our bus to make it to our train. Still they what they could to accommodate my mistakes.

Yelp
We had a beautiful time at this Hammam. First we had some hot mint tea in the waiting area then we got directed to the locker rooms to change into our Swimsuit. Once changed, we went to the different baths, 3 of them with different water temperature. Amazing moresque interior around all 3 baths, where we relaxed and experienced the waters. Then we got our kessa session, witch is a wash with eucalyptus oil, foam and body scrub for 15 minutes. Then a 45 min massage with choice of essence oil. Finally we went back to the baths for a final relaxation. We spent a total of 1 1/2 - 2 hours (we lost time and space) for $180 total for the both of us. The personnel is very nice and attentive. Definitely a spa to go to. We will go again soon to the one in Malaga.

Yelp
Almost skipped out on this experience and I'm so glad we didn't! That was the best 1.5 hrs we've ever spent in a spot! The ambience, the spas, the massage, the tea, and the friendliness of the staff was the best you could've expected. Totally worth the money and if we get a chance we're totally going to come back! We are from the US and the experience was wonderful.

Yelp
Pretty bad compared to other baths/massages. Their layout wasn't very thoughtful as the hot baths weren't next to the cold baths. The change rooms for the guys were extremely small (only 2 change stalls and 2 showers). Our time slot probably had about 6-8 guys so you can imagine when we were all getting ready and leaving everyone had to wait. Massage was nothing special. Just came from Seville Aire. Www.beaire.com which was 5 stars compared to this place. Only good thing I can say is we got the student special for 25 euros per person with a 15 minute massage usually priced at 36 euros. Staff who were there was nice enough.

Yelp
Came here when I was on vacation, on the recommendation of a local friend. What an experience! Honestly it has spoiled me for any spa I could find in the US. The atmosphere here, in a historic building, is amazing. Long soaks different temperature pools felt so good after days of non-stop walking. The massage was great and I left feeling like I was floating on a cloud. Definitely worth the time and money.

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience! Tucked away around the corner from some old roman ruins... you would never know what's in the basement. The pools were wonderful and relaxing. Who do this again in a heartbeat. If I'm ever back I'll probably go twice!

Yelp
This place is a haven on a hot summer day. This was my first experience with an Arab Bath and Turkish Tea, and I loved it. I later visited Baños Árabes in Granada, but the Córdoba location is my favorite. Córdoba is a small town with rich history, and this place reflects it. The bath is a place to relax, to reflect, and to indulge in the moment. The architecture was also amazing. If you have the money, definitely splurge on this indulgence.

Yelp
Truly unique experience which takes you back centuries. The facilities were cleaning, the tea was excellent and the scrub on a marble table was like nothing I have experienced before. Really quite recommended.

Yelp
Beautiful Arabian baths. My body was beat down after two and a half weeks of traveling through Spain. During our Contiki our guide told us about this place and how many travelers came here to relax after so many days on the road and living out of a suitcase. We got a fantastic group deal for 28€ each. Probably some of the best spent euros on my travels. After checking-in and paying, I was handed my towel and given a wrist band. We were walked to the locker room where we put our belongings and rented a locker for 0,50€. A quick rinse in the shower and in we went to the room. The ambiance was quiet and the lights in the room were very dim. The facility consisted of three different types of pools: two cold, two hot and the main pool at a lukewarm temperature. They also had a sauna available. Every 15 minutes the massage therapists take a new guest. Once they called you up they removed your wristband. You will take your towel and lay it on the massage table of your selection. They will ask you what kind of massage oil scent you would like. I chose orange and was complemented many times on my scent after we left the baths. After about an hour and a half or two hours they let us know our time in the baths was over and we sadly had to leave. I felt like a new woman when we stepped out into the streets. It was an extremely rejuvenating experience and highly recommended to any traveler that wants to wind down.
