Hammam De La Rose - Marrakech

Unfortunately, my experience at Hammam de la Rose was very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. From the beginning, I felt like just another number in a rushed schedule. There was no real care or personal attention — I was mostly left to figure things out on my own. The actual time spent in the hammam was barely three minutes, which felt incredibly rushed and impersonal. The massage that followed was very average and lacked intention or presence. It felt like a “next, please” kind of place rather than a relaxing or special experience. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially considering how much they charge. There are better, more authentic options in Marrakech.

The Hammam De La Rose was recommended by friends who’ve been there before as one of the best private baths in town. The booking experience was very easy just calling the day before. We went for the Tour of Morocco package, including bath, scrub, mud massage, and 1hr-relaxing massage afterwards. The venue was easy to find in a very nice Suq that is worth exploring for higher-end shopping than in other areas of the Medina. The Hammam venue is quite nice and upscale. We didn’t like the service though also comparing to previous experiences in Turkey and Hungary. The Hammam staff were loud and too chatty outside the bath room as many other reviews point out. This made relaxation harder. I wasn’t too surprised about how they communicated during the bath process as I experienced elsewhere that Hammam personnel are often not too skilled in foreign languages. I wouldn’t called them rude but direct, quite different if you’re used to a fancy SPA in the U.S. or Europe. But it reckon it part of the Hammam experience. However, we didn’t like the noise also outside the spa massage area with other noisy tourists and noisy personnel (-1 star). The venue management should be more careful about this and dedicate some rooms for breaks to their own staff so they don’t bother the visitors. My masseuse was good, she changed the relaxing massage into a tonic one once I asked her in French. We also use the rooftop terrace at the end, which is a perk. The whole experience and expectations could improve if the front desk staff explained the process to new customers. Overall, it felt too expensive for service they provide (-1 star).

For someone who really knows what the real moroccan bath is , this is a very average one The whole experience was so quick for what you pay However staff are super friendly and the place feels luxurious

We had a great time at the hammam. After4 days of walking the Medina, we took the stress free package. And that was really good, at a fair price. Would recommend

Very average experience. The ladies are very friendly and the hammam experience was decent although I seemed to have a trainee. The massage was perfunctory and cut short by half the time booked. We had 4 massages and none up to scratch. You can do better. This place is very conveniently located for tourists but is not the best Morocco can offer sadly.

For the hijabis. Its a shame because the treatment was nice but rushed. But as a hijabi i was really angry as before the service i asked if there would be men and Mariam, at reception, said no. So when i got changed into my robe i left without my hijab assuming there would be no men. The treatment went well little rushed. I left the treatment room and went downstairs there was men. I was not wearing my hijab and didnt have the hood of my robe on as i was told there was no men. I had to quickly put my hood on and the treatment lady rushed me to the changing room. I went to the reception after to tell then what happen and they were very defensive and after i had explained that they should have told me clearly, as a woman who wears hijab, there wont be men in the treatment room BUT THERE IS MEN AROUND. Mariam was not understanding my frustration and gave me a fake apology to end the discussion. Nice treatment not nice reception and accurate information.

It’s easy to find. I got four seasons- 900 dh. It’s a bit pricey compared to others. If you only want Hammam, you might want to go other places. But you get a scrub glove as souvenir. The massage was soft but decent. The lady did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate with her. Maybe you can ask the front to arrange who can speak English. The front person is very flexible and friendly. I felt awkward when I saw a man was working inside. I was wearing bathrobe but naked. So I felt uncomfortable. Also, it was a bit cold while I was getting massage. Hence 2 stars.

Went for a 4 seasons couples package 30 min Hammam (thorough but not too rough). And massage each. All perfect. Very happy. Will return.
