Hammamhane Hotel

We stayed in one of the suites of the hotel, which was a charming, cozy and very spacious apartment. Although we didn't use all the facilities as we were mostly out exploring, there was even a kitchen with a kettle, microwave, fridge etc etc. Perfect for a longer stay as well. Great location to explore the city. Galata Tower walking distance (15mins), and, most importantly, the are in which the hotel is, is super quiet and artsy and perfect for a slow morning or evening away from the bustle and hustle and touristy parts. Feels like the "student" area from Istanbul - lovely.

Hammamhane felt more like our own stylish Istanbul apartment than a hotel. Our spacious suite was spotless and beautifully finished, with a level of care evident in everything, from the choice of furnishings and crisp bedlinen right down to the delicate fresh scent of the hand soap. Indoors and out, everything was so immaculate and perfectly maintained.||We loved the mix of contemporary and vintage furniture with artistic pieces interspersed among tasteful displays of Turkish artefacts in the common areas which gave the interior its distinctive character and homey feel. The warn and polite staff struck the perfect balance of professionalism, discretion and genuine hospitality, making us forget we were in a hotel and feel as though we were roaming our own private quarters.||Breakfast in the common area was relaxed and inviting, with attentive, personal service offered just when needed. The ideal location in delightful Cukurcuma put us in the heart of Beyoğlu, surrounded by charming cafés, bars, antique shops and boutiques, just a short stroll to Galata, Istiklal and Taksim as well as a ten-minute walk from the tram station.||What a calm retreat to return to after exploring the city! Hammamhane perfectly combines the privacy and comfort of home with the cordial service and welcoming atmosphere of an intimate boutique hotel. We left feeling like houseguests rather than hotel visitors and can’t wait to return!

Modern, clean hotel that is oasis of calm in busy Istanbul. Excellent location and breakfast also great. We visited the hammam next door which we also recommend. Staff all great- really responsive on WhatsApp and take time to give you recommendations and insights into Istanbul.

I feel strongly this is the best accommodation in Istanbul. Let me elaborate why:||- The establishment itself is very comfortable, with all amenities, excellent breakfast, AND the most incredible hammam ON-SITE.|- The location is peaceful, serene, and yet close to all major attractions by a few stops on the metro, or a quick walk depending on where you're headed. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, coffee shops, etc. Everything you need is in a small radius.|- The staff here are very helpful and happy to share resources about a great visit/stay.||This is THE hotel to stay at in Istanbul, and we will stay here for any future visits.|Thank you Hammamhane Hotel for an excellent stay :)

We travel to Istanbul once or twice a year and this is the best hotel we have stayed in. It’s clean, walking distance from Istiklal street and Galata tower but away from hustle and bustle. The breakfast is amazing and staff is really nice. The area is green and lovely. Highly recommended.

This place was close to everything in Istanbul. Beautiful and safe neighborhood. The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing.....they did above and beyond and met our expectations. I never had a hotel remember my birthday and they came out with a delicious birthday cake. Thank you for making our stay here amazing...we will be back soon.

Possibly the best hotel I stayed in Turkey. Right next to the historic Turkish Bath which you shouldn’t miss, on a quite local street in a very central crowded area. Walking distance to landmarks but feels very local. Incredible service, spotlessly clean hotel with the best Turkish breakfast.

Absolutely loved my recent stay at Hammamhane Hotel in Istanbul – a hidden gem I’d recommend to anyone!The location is unbeatable: just steps away from the lively Istiklal Street yet tucked in a quiet corner, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Many other major attractions are also within walking distance, so it’s incredibly convenient.The room felt like a modern, compact apartment – super cozy, stylish, and even came with a balcony that added a lovely touch. It honestly felt like a home away from home.But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. A huge shoutout to Haydar at the reception, who went above and beyond. We arrived early in the morning, and not only did he warmly welcome us, but he also offered a complimentary breakfast so we wouldn’t start our day hungry. Even more impressive, he arranged an early check-in for us since our room was ready. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.

Wonderful, small hotel in a cute neighborhood. Friendly staff, unique and comfy rooms, and a killer breakfast. Hipster and stylish, great music on their playlists in the common areas and relaxing patios. Did I mention the staff is wonderful? Seriously. No place I will stay on Istanbul.

This hotel is a gem! Would absolutely stay here again. Wonderful breakfast, kind staff, great location! The manager is fabulous. He even got me a cake for my birthday. Bilal was great, as was Ufuk, the kitchen and cleaning staff were also lovely. The rooms have washers! Can't say enough good things about this.
