First stay at Hammamhane and am very pleased. Been to Istanbul at least 20 times. I would definitely stay again at Hammamhane. Staff were friendly, responsive and on top of things. Reception staff checked, rechecked, and reliably made arrangements for transfers, etc. Communication was clear, helpful and timely from time of booking to day of departure. No surprise charges nor nonsense. Turkish breakfast included and could have been better (didn’t have kaymak 😢), but had plenty of options, and was more than adequate. | Hotel is on same street as many antique stores, vintage shops, good restaurants. I was scrubbed down and cleaned up twice by the lovely hammam next door. The street down the road from the hotel provides access to a taxi stand, boutiques, pharmacies, conveniences stores, many good eateries. TomTom Kebab, Avlu and Lemonlu Bahce are three of my favorites eateries all about 5 minute walk away. 10 Minutes down the hill is the tram for a quick ride to Sultanahmet, the ports, etc. | I was in Room 28, a large studio which has small balcony sitting area and kitchen. Important considerations for choosing the place all exceeded expectations: strong wifi for work, good working and QUIET air conditioning during the sweltering summer, very clean/well cared for accommodations. | Room design was good for relaxation as well as work. Lighting was great, allowing for nighttime work without eyestrain. Swiveling television screen helpful for multi-tasking. Kitchen equipped with basics such as a sharp knife and good glasses etc. | Three large windows let in natural light but appear triple-paned and with black-out curtains, so room was peacefully insulated from street noise and conducive to sleep. Washer/dryer was easy to use and worked well. Shower pressure and water temperature controls all good.
