Hampton by Hilton Berlin City East Side Gallery

The location of the hotel is great, but that’s pretty much it. Considering it’s a Hampton by Hilton and the price I paid (€189 for one night for one person!), I had high expectations, but unfortunately I left feeling quite disappointed. The furnishings and equipment are pretty standard and not particularly high quality. I have experienced much better in cheaper hotels. I was also disappointed with the service. I asked for a late checkout and usually one or two hours after the regular checkout time isn’t a problem, and sometimes it's free. Here, however, they charged me 16 euros for the first hour and 60 euros for two hours.

This is a large, modern hotel conveniently located on the east side of the city and within 5 minutes walk of two stations. I had a 7th floor room overlooking the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery and River Spree. It was well appointed and soundproof, despite being next to the lift shaft and close to a busy road. ||The staff were excellent, letting me check in two hours early and store bags until the early evening after check out. ||There were a few niggles that made me only rate the hotel four stars. Firstly you had to ask reception each day if you wanted the room cleaning or new supplies such as tea, coffee or toilet paper; there was no provision for daily automatic room servicing. The breakfast buffet was rather average and the air con in the room was inefficient.

The hotel is not perfect, but it is good value for money. I recommend choosing a room with a view of the Berlin wall via the mobile app. Good metro and bus connections to the city center and the airport. Comfortable bed and pillows. Polite staff. Adequate soundproofing. Sufficient breakfast selection. Clean room.

I needed a hotel for the evening before I left the next day close to the area I was already at. For the price, I'm fairly certain it's hard to beat the product offered by this hotel. I debated between this and my other choice, the Indigo next door, which I've always found to be a strong brand. Having come from a neighboring hotel "Michelberger" for four days with no air conditioning, Hampton East Side Gallery was a complete change.||Check in was perfect and standard, meanwhile there was no room to check me in a bit early at Michelberger at all. ||In order of what I appreciated the most given the comparison|1. 1/2 the cost of the Michelberger for a far superior product|2. Working air conditioning in Berlin Summer|3. Breakfast included for everyone and doesn't try to charge people 22 euros for a few slices of cheese like Michelberger|4. Clean room, everything looks new no dust on the bed frame (unlike Michel Berger)|5. Quiet. At Michel Berger my room was hot and stuffy forcing me to open a window, which then drew in loud noises next to the train tracks and party goers in the area|5. Upgraded to a room with a good view|6. Stored my luggage for a day safe and sound||There's a bus station right outside the hotel. But tip: Plenty of scooters to rent for $0.10 - $0.30 a minute and you can scooter to the subway station if you don't want to walk. For an extra 9 minute walk to the subway station I would say well well worth it.

I had a very pleasant stay here! The rooms were very comfortable and mine had a beautiful view to the East Side Gallery, the river and the Berlin Wall. The beds were very comfortable and I could easily catch some good night sleep. Breakfast was very good! Very different choices for a buffet with even the choice for making your own pancakes. Totally recommend having it. You can also sit to watch the beautiful view of the East Side Gallery. My only issue was that the telephone for the reception never worked. But taking that issue apart my stay was pretty lovely.

Standard Hampton value. Location is great if you are attending a concert in Uber Arena / Music Hall. Restaurants and shopping mall next to the hotel so all the necessary items are in reach! Rooms are average good. Air conditioning is weird. It's in it coldest setting during very warm weather but it does not cool down properly. This same thing was with other Hampton hotels so dunno if they are controlling it somewhere so rooms cannot. Breakfast was okay but quite heavy side. I would love to have more fruits and vegetables but it did it's job anyway. If you're having business to the east side on Berlin, come here. It's value for your money but a bit distance to all the attractions

This is a nice hotel, very well located in front of the East Side Gallery and right behind the Uber Eats Arena, a rail station and the East Side Mall. ||It is the standard Hampton Hotel, with clean and small rooms (although they don't have daily maid service). The wifi works well. The TV is useless with only german speaking channels.||The breakfast was very good I would say better than most hotels with breakfast included.||Overall we stayed seven nights and the overall experience was very good.

Excellent room, wonderful view. Fantastic location. The prices here are fair, the service is impeccable, and the breakfast buffet is quite enjoyable. I stayed here for 2 weeks and very much enjoyed my time. Thank you Hampton Hilton 💜

Whatever you do, don't stay here!!! I would give zero stars if possible. I checked in during a heat wave and the air conditioner in my room didn't work. The heat was terrible, so I asked to switch to a room with working A/C. The staff refused & also said they couldn't give me a fan. All they could offer was earplugs to block noise when I opened the window, which didn't help at all. Terrible staff and hotel!
