Hampton by Hilton Berlin City East Side Gallery

Really lovely hotel in the east side gallery part of town. Round the corner there’s some new restaurants and an Irish bar as well as Starbucks, five guys, McDonald’s etc. Within five minutes walk is a mall with several shops and a small supermarket which was really handy. The metro station is about ten minutes walk away and we used it loads of times while there, such a good location. Hotel itself is very clean and modern. Plenty of continental style food at breakfast including a waffle machine! Cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and croissants. Breads and cereal. A selection of hot foods which vary each day but it was a selection of bacon, sausages, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, beans, mini hash browns as well as some other things like couscous and vegetables which I can’t say I sampled myself. Coffee and fresh juices. In the basement is a small gym. Rooms very modern and clean, really great choice of hotel in a good part of town.

Just another chain hotel, but the location is convenient for exploring the city and cultural events in the former East side. Feet from the 1.3km section of the wall, it offers a view of history. At night it reminded me of my first visit to Berlin in 90 when the wall still stood, but was fractured and crossable. Our heater was broken and we asked 2x for service with no results. Otherwise, clean and as expected.

The hotel is very pleasant and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is good, although it can sometimes get crowded. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is excellent for walking along the river and visiting the gallery. Parking is not always easily available.

Booked into The Hamptons at Hilton on the 22nd October 25 and was blown away with the experience, from walking in and being greeted by the concierge to booking in, was given our room and the experience was amazing. Fantastic quality of room, bedding and extras, breakfast was free and the choice of continental breakfast was great. We left on the 24th October 25 and was able to leave our luggage with the concierge until about 4pm when our taxi arrived to take us to the airport. All in all it was a fantastic experience, until the next time.

The hotel is located at a great location at the East side gallery. Breakfast is great and provides good choices. Parking situation is strange. The parkhouse next to the hotel costs 30 euro per day. But you may park in nearby shopping mall for 14 euros per day too.

The hotel is not perfect, but it is good value for money. I recommend choosing a room with a view of the Berlin wall via the mobile app. Good metro and bus connections to the city center and the airport. Comfortable bed and pillows. Polite staff. Adequate soundproofing. Sufficient breakfast selection. Clean room.

The location of the hotel is great, but that’s pretty much it. Considering it’s a Hampton by Hilton and the price I paid (€189 for one night for one person!), I had high expectations, but unfortunately I left feeling quite disappointed. The furnishings and equipment are pretty standard and not particularly high quality. I have experienced much better in cheaper hotels. I was also disappointed with the service. I asked for a late checkout and usually one or two hours after the regular checkout time isn’t a problem, and sometimes it's free. Here, however, they charged me 16 euros for the first hour and 60 euros for two hours.

This is a large, modern hotel conveniently located on the east side of the city and within 5 minutes walk of two stations. I had a 7th floor room overlooking the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery and River Spree. It was well appointed and soundproof, despite being next to the lift shaft and close to a busy road. ||The staff were excellent, letting me check in two hours early and store bags until the early evening after check out. ||There were a few niggles that made me only rate the hotel four stars. Firstly you had to ask reception each day if you wanted the room cleaning or new supplies such as tea, coffee or toilet paper; there was no provision for daily automatic room servicing. The breakfast buffet was rather average and the air con in the room was inefficient.

Whatever you do, don't stay here!!! I would give zero stars if possible. I checked in during a heat wave and the air conditioner in my room didn't work. The heat was terrible, so I asked to switch to a room with working A/C. The staff refused & also said they couldn't give me a fan. All they could offer was earplugs to block noise when I opened the window, which didn't help at all. Terrible staff and hotel!
