Walkable to train stations, close to many shops, restaurants, bars and attractions (zoo). Room is standard but clean and well kept. Breakfast particularly really good. We read the reviews about the rooms facing the train tracks so we opted ones facing the courtyard and they were noiseless.

Google
The rooms are a bit outdated and you can hear the trains if the window is open. The breakfast had a good variety of choices at the buffet which was a good plus. They have a water filter that you can only use when you are having breakfast and not in the evening unfortunately. There is no safe in the room, nor a refrigerator.

The rooms and location were fine. My room was very close to the elevated train tracks, but the sound proofing was very good and I barely noticed the trains. However, I would think twice about returning here because the breakfast was so poor and depressing. As compared to European hotel chains, the breakfast here had very little fresh fruit, no eggs made to order and the cheapest paper napkins that could be used. The whole ambience was more like a middle-value American motel than a European hotel. Because of this I would probably choose a different hotel next time I am here.

Google
Great locations, lots of breakfast menu, however, when we enter the room for the first time, there was an used tissue and a bag of tea on the table. Aside from that, the room is quite large and comfy

Google
Great hotel! Convenient location near the Zoo (and the 100 & 200 buses for sightseeing). Breakfast was excellent. The trains are audible in the rooms (ours overlooked the track) but caused minimal disturbance and definitely didn't impact on sleep. Would certainly return / recommend to others.

Stayed in this hotel with friends for my 40th birthday in December. Had an amazing time.|Check in was smooth, easy, efficient service. |Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Only noise from very busy trainlines outside. When 3 passed at once lights would flicker, but didn't effect our stay. Heard no other noise in hotel.|Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and large spacious dining room, never felt rushed.|Location great, short walk to shops, restaurants and U bahn station.|Only negative was hotel bar staff, who was slow and inconsistent with prices. Never charged same price for a drink- keep an eye there.|

When we got here I think it was happy hour in the bar it was a great reasonably economical good food I believe we also had a snack here maybe at the end of the night very late at night before closing period beautiful lobby. The owner's breakfast in the morning for Hilton members was varied and delicious

Stayed first time in a hotel in Berlin. Fantastic experience. Sandra, Torsten and Max made sure of that. Very nice rooms, great breakfast. Will recommend.

Yelp
We went with this hotel due to the close approximately to the subway lines, restaurants and shopping area near by, which was added plus. The staff were friendly and checked-in without any issues, the staff member explained everything during the check-in. The room - three people stayed in a room with a queen bed and a sofa bed, which was already made before we got there. However, with the sofa bed made, the room was very hard to move around. I don't get why they don't have shower doors or curtains in Germany, the only thing that prevented the water from flooding the bathroom floor was the glass that covered the half of the shower. The sofa bed was very soft, so for folks like me who like hard bed, it's was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was included... the menu items were the same every day we were there, but they have a waffle machine with two different flavors - original and blueberry during my stay.

Yelp
The hotel is close to Tiergarten and all tourist attractions. Its in a safe neighborhood, rooms are clean and service is excellent.

Yelp
I'm familiar with the Hampton brand of hotels from my trips to the USA and this is their first hotel in Germany I got a good price through Expedia, which was a nice bonus. It's located a 5-10 minute walk from the Zoologischer Garten station transport hub, making it a very convenient location to stay. The express train from Schoenefeld Airport stops here as does the express bus service to Tegel Airport. The U2 and U9 Unter-Bahn lines also run through here and many buses stop at the big bus terminal just outside the station The building is very modern as is the decor. Although a train line runs directly next to the hotel, the sound-proofing is amazing - I had a room literally next to the train tracks and I heard nothing The receptionists spoke fluent English and check me in many hours ahead of the official check in time as I had caught an early morning flight from London, which was a nice touch. They were very helpful with directions and recommendations The room was comfortable with modern decor and in good condition. As expected, there were limited English channels but I was able to keep in touch with the news and sport. Wifi is free and the reception was good throughout the building A buffet breakfast was included in my package and it offers a good spread of hot and cold items. The staff do work hard to make sure that the food was topped up Besides my contributing to Paris Hilton's inheritance, I can't think of a bad thing to say about this hotel and I recommend it whole-heartedly for a visit to Berlin

Yelp
Summary based on one multi-night stay: -good location 7 minutes easy walk from Zoo station; 5 minutes walk from 109 bus stop from TXL. U and S bahn nearby -many restaurants nearby -ok security. Elevator requires key card, though adjacent stairs unsecured -quiet room on courtyard -ok fitness center -air con ok and quiet, but analog setting -no safe, refrigerator, or microwave, which are common in Hamptons -friendly staff, more than competent in English -better than average buffet breakfast -better than average internet -ok prices for this area -in-room coffee and tea -not enough electric receptacles next to bed. Generally not enough electrical receptacles. -water bottles not replaced -towels hung up by Housekeeping, not replaced Recommended in this area

Yelp
Excellent hotel in very good location. Uhlandstrasse metro stop is about 2 min walk, same as the bus stop for Tegel airport bus. Plenty of restaurants available in next blocks so you don't have to deal with big crowds right at near hotel. Hotel room as very good size, clean and new. Breakfast was great and free! Sometimes the price goes over 100 euro but often it's less. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Stayed here while on a business trip to Germany. This Hampton is the first in Germany and has been open for about a month now. It is my understanding that it has been operating very well thus far. The hotel is seemingly located on an off-the-path type street, however it is close to many shops and a plethora of restaurants... I almost like to think of this area as comparable to New York. The hotel has a nice, spacious modern lobby. As an American visiting Europe for the first time, you notice how much smaller everything is - the elevators are narrow and the rooms are tiny. I believe they are about a foot narrower than a typical US Hampton Inn. However, the rooms are nice, bathroom is nice and spacious; has an adjustable shower hand. Beds are twin-size and I believe the largest bed they have is a queen by request. Flat panel tv in the room, but I think it is like 24". Breakfast is amazingly crowded and busy. Offers most of the same items as the US brand, both hot and cold items - but I also noticed the offered cheese which I haven't seen in the US yet. They also opened up the meeting rooms to accomodate all the people in for breakfast. All in all, I'd love to stay here again. The staff is super friendly, young, and knowledgable. The hotel is located in a great area just within walking distance from high-end shops.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights back in September on our way through Europe. We were looking for an affordable, yet quality name brand hotel in the heart of West Berlin, and this Hampton by Hilton was a perfect choice! For all of you English speaking travelers, you will be happy to know that the staff are bilingual, though it never hurts to try a little bit of Deutsch. The check-in process was breeze, and I would recommend asking for a room away from the S-Bahn tracks facing into the courtyard. The rooms are comfortable, modern and clean. We ended up losing our European plug adapters and the front desk was happy to provide us with a replacement for each of us to borrow during our stay. Each morning their is a full German breakfast "Fruhstuck," which I recommend filling up on before your adventures in the city. You can even sit outside on the terrace if the weather is nice. Public transportation is extremely close by bus, U-Bahn (underground) and S-Bahn (overground) throughout Berlin. I highly recommend the Story of Berlin museum with the underground Cold War bunker that is only a block away on Kurfundstendamm Strasse. This is also a great area for a late night stroll. After a full day of touring around the city don't forget to check out the bar. We met a wonderful Australian couples to share travel stories and the bar staff were relaxed and offered great advice about local places to visit. They have great drink prices and even locals Germans are known to frequent it. Overall, if you are a traveler looking for comfort on a budget in a great location, check out this hotel!

Yelp
We ordered our stay just looking around on a hotel website. This came up, and we thought: Yeah, sure! The hotel had a really nice location, just 2-3 minutes from the main street of (West-) Berlin, Kurfürstendamm. Also, the rooms looked nice and clean, and best of all: The price was really good! We were definitely expecting something way higher, with dates in the main season for European vacations in general. We arrived at 9.30, 5 1/2 hours before the actual check-in time. But, as we stated this when we ordered, we got to check in. The room was perfectly clean (like the rest if the hotel), the view towards the street was really nice and they had even made the extra bed ready prior to our arrival. As we were terribly tired, this was everything we could have hoped for! The breakfast was great with all kinds of foods, the staff was polite, service-minded and helpful and we had a great stay!

Yelp
I stayed two nights and this is the most chic Hampton ever. Good breakfast and great night host (shout-out to my dude Felix). The folks at the desk weren't the perkiest...but it's Berlin. The last night I was there they kept serving us beers until breakfast and even ordered a pizza for us (if we paid)...so I give them lots of credit there. It's an easy choice for business travelers on a budget who are Hilton club members. The area of Berlin ist cool, aber offensichtlich kein Kreuzberg/Prenzlauer/das andere gentifrizierendes Vorort. Enjoy and say hi to Felix the night manager if you get a chance. www.thekalamabooze.com

Yelp
This is a very impressive Hampton Inn property and the first in Germany if I understand correctly. The staff were very friendly and the public areas & amenities exceed the Hampton Inn properties typically found in the USA. In addition to the typical breakfast area (which was large, modern and overlooked and interior courtyard/garden) there was a public lounge with staffed bar and library/business center. The rooms were average sized but if the sleeping area seemed smaller, the bathroom seemed larger. Location is a block or two from S-and U-bahns as well as the tony shops on the Ku-damm. I would happily stay here again just to explore the neighborhood and its many restaurants.

Yelp
We got a great deal on this room for $90 Euro... so good that the front desk couldn't even believe it. We were in a great part of Berlin and close to the UBahn. The hotel was very clean, up to date, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again! The breakfast was decent for a complimentary continental.

Yelp
Lovely, quiet room--you won't regret staying here. Close to the U bahn. The hotel is pretty green, too, the hallway lights only come on when you walk down the hall. Light fluffy pillows. Do watch out in the shower, though it can be slippery. Good breakfast, hot or cold, with lots of options. Friendly staff. Excellent business center which helped get an important document printed, too, no charge.

Yelp
Great location, facilities are average but the staff get a single star for a total lack of customer service. I couldn't even get them to sell me coffee, which is not available for free outside of breakfast time. Buy water for walking, they told me to drink the tap water instead of selling me water which not so conveniently is sold at the bar. I travel a lot but will pass on this place the next time.

Karen T.

Yelp
Nice, clean room, pretty much to Hampton standards. Excellent location and busy breakfast.

Yelp
Stayed for five days in September 2015. Great staff. Clean. Quiet ( ask for courtyard room). Highly recommend .

Yelp
An excellent hotel! Centrally located in Berlin near a metro and a bus station. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was delicious and included in the room price(!). The staff was also very helpful. Great value. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely use it again on my next trip to Berlin.
