Hampton by Hilton Freiburg

We stayed here for Christmas to visit relatives. The price was really good compared to the rest of the hotels. The room was nice, clean and large enough, the bed was comfortable. the only bad point was for me breakfast, one day there was nothing around and we had to call the waitress and wait until they refurbished the buffet. Parking was also expensive, around 20 euros per day.

Nobody is answering the phone calls, neither on weekends nor on weekdays. Interestingly, the SMM customer care claims that everything is working fine. Also, the pet fee for the 50 EUR during the 80 EUR stay is certainly noteworthy. What a "pet-friendly" hotel!

We recently stayed here for two nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and spacious, though we did encounter a small issue with the sliding bathroom door, which was difficult to move due to a defect. The breakfast selection was tasty and offered a good variety, but the high volume of guests, particularly from multiple tour groups, led to longer-than-usual waits at the buffet. Additionally, two out of the three coffee machines were out of order, which added to the breakfast wait time. On the positive side, the hotel features a convenient underground garage, and its location is excellent—just at the city entrance, yet within walking distance of the city center. This makes it a perfect base for exploring the area. The fitness center is well-equipped, ideal for guests looking to stay active during their stay. The lobby area is spacious and stylish, in line with what you'd expect from Hilton. All in all, a solid stay with a few minor inconveniences, but the location and amenities make it worth considering for future visits.

I stayed in this hotel before in december 2023, there I had an overall good experience. When I returned in december 2024 with my assistance dog, I got said "You have to pay for the dog" even though the website says "assistance dogs free of charge". Now I had to call the website where i booked the room to explain them what had happened and they called the hotel right away to fix it for me. The only reason I did not pay is because I stand my ground and said "No". >In the morning i heard from the reception manager that this is not their policy and that assistance dogs are always free of charge. Still wonder if I should come back or not. Another thing when I tried the cold water in the room I almost burned myself (Room 140).

For a one night stay, this hotel is very good. I would compare it similarly favourably with holiday inn express, courtyard Marriott etc kind of simple functional inn. ||Basement parking is lovely and secure. ||Receptionists are friendly and helpful. However, check the room numbers written on your key card before you go up, because one of the receptionists has really awful handwriting (even his colleagues says so) - as in, unbelievably unacceptably awful. But he is a nice chap.||Breakfast was American, of limited variety but filling. ||Overall excellent value here.

Terrible experience! 1-housekeeping service is outsource , no daily cleaning, they cleaned our room on third day with only tidy up, they didnt change even linens,only re-made the bed. Maids entering room withour knowcking on the door. Terrible towels, old, thin and very small. 2-Staff has no even uniform,non trained,only few speaks English. 3-i stayed in 9-10 Hamptons and never seen car park with fee, i talked another Hampton staff in another city, they said free park is brand standard in Hamptons! 4-No Gold-Diamond welcoming, not even a water in the room! 5-Their digital card is avail on Hilton app, they never gave it even you request on the app!! Overall disaster!

I have stayed at Hamptons by Hilton hotels several times in Berlin and in Frankfurt an I never had a complaint. Nothing was the same with this one. Entering the hotel I immediately noticed that public aereas were dirty especially the floor. Everywhere stains and it was sticky. Under the chairs there would be spider webs and especially under one a cockoroch was caught for three days it was there and nobody cleaned it. Now in our room, the floor was stained with something that could not be cleaned as when they cleaned our room one time only in the 6 days we stayed it was still there. Since it is pet friendly hotel there shouldn't be any carpets cause you couldn't count the stains which I do no know what they were from. I am a bit fussy with cleanliness but this was not even close and I was stunned as most reviews said that it was clean and some even spotless. The breakfast was good and that is the only thing positive I have to say.

Do not be conned this hotel is way out from the old town next to dual carriageway and derelict site bed too hard. Booked Expedia. 1.3 from centre. No its not need taxi or walk a d get tram. Not helpful staff. |Disappointed by this hotel location and surroundings. |I

On Princess for one day tour until May. 23 people, loads of rooms. As I pay for the entire party, I have the "we love you" plastic cards from most hotel brands. Used to be Diamond with Hilton, who graded my wife and me down as they do not credit me for group bookings. Also, reception says no status upgrades for HHonors members - as they are Hampton Inn, part of the Hilton group but with no obligation to honor the status. Fair enough. We canceled all further stays at the Hampton Inn on this tour. The hotel is OK, very clean, with great beds, and mediocre breakfast - basically what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. So if you are looking for a budget stay in the area, it's an OK place to stay, hence the 3 stars.

Great stay at this property. We stayed for a full week. The staff was pleasant and efficient and kept the property in great condition. The room was great, bed comfortable, pillows soft, and comforter was nice too. The shower was great, lots of hot water (at times it would go from hot to warm). Soap and shampoo were via pumps. Breakfast was excellent with a more than sufficient selection. Coffee from the machine was tasty too. The room had a safe and the internet was reliable. There was no noise feom the outside. We had no car and the tram station was a 5-7 minute walk. Excellent experience!

Nothing awful to say about this place! The Hampton inn by Hilton Friburg is one of the only chain hotels in the city and its really nice! I stayed here for 2 nights when I was visiting the city for work. I had a very pleasant stay here! The hotel location is a little bit away from the old town area, but it is walk-able. My colleague and I did it several times and it was not that bad. The Hotel is nice and the rooms are nice as well. Its your typical Hampton Inn Hotel. The beds were comfortable, the towels were soft, the bedding felt new. The staff that worked at the hotel was great, personable and kind. They offered great suggestions on dinner recommendations and were very friendly. The Train station is about a 10 to 15 minute car ride from the hotel. Its walkable but its not good if you have a bag with you. I would for sure recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area. I will prob be staying here again this fall. Check it out~
