Hampton by Hilton Freiburg

The hotel was good and comfortable for a one-day stay. Though the rooms were a bit small, they were cozy and well-maintained. The buffet was tasty with decent variety. Best part – it’s located right in the city, making everything easily accessible. Overall, a pleasant and convenient experience.

Rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds firm, fixtures modern and functional. Breakfast delivered a reliable buffet of hot and cold items. But checkout was a let‑down: the receptionist handled the gate tax brusquely, clearly wanted the interaction over fast, and didn’t bode farewell beyond a silent exit.

Nice hotel but very dated. First impression, Furniture in lobby is stained and dirty. Rooms are big and beds okay. I felt this hotel was very overpriced for the value. Staff never answered the phone each time I tried to call down. |Overall this hotel didn’t match the Hilton standard but was ok.. just ok.

⚠️ Do not stay here if you care about your family’s safety. ⚠️ This was the worst hotel experience of my life. In the middle of the night, strangers almost entered my wife’s room. She was terrified, my children were with her, and there was no one answering the phone. No security, no help, no response. She did not sleep the entire night out of fear. Imagine if those people had come in, no staff, no backup, no safety measures. A hotel with so many guests and only one person on duty. Completely unacceptable. To make it even worse, the hotel promised me a refund in writing. Until today, I have received nothing. First a destroyed night, then zero safety, and now broken promises. If you value your safety, your peace of mind, or even basic honesty from hotel management – stay away from this place.

The location is in the middle of nowhere but the worst part is the service-only two persons at front desk so you have to wait in a long long long queue for a check in or any simple request. Besides, the service line is always no one to pick up. In the end, I notice that there is only these two persons to serve all the guests in this hotel…. What a ridiculous service they provide…. Sadly, when I stated the facts to the hotel, their reply only further proved how poor their service is. Look what the hotel replied:)

The hotel is very nice and in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient to get to from the team line.|The rooms are large and clean. The pillows kind of were bad for me, but I like a more firm pillow and not many hotels accommodate that.|My room was located in a higher floor and after running the a/c unit for several hours, the temp had managed to go up. The window o my slightly opened and thus no air flow from there.|Being it was my first night in Germany and I wanted at least some sleep so we asked for a lower floor and were moved. The room was cooler, but be prepared to enjoy a bit of warmth as you sleep.

Excellent. Got upgraded as a Gold member, room was comfortable, and breakfast was tasty with many options. Location is actually pretty decent, long walking distance to downtown/Munster area but attainable. Walked to Schlossberg in around 45 minutes and took the tram back to hotel.

Absolutely terrible hotel. The room was very dirty — there was trash on the floor, the towels were old, had an unpleasant smell, and were torn. The lobby and the hotel restaurant were just as filthy. In the lobby, your shoes literally stick to the floor. Needless to say, there were no cotton pads or cotton swabs in the bathroom. No slippers in the room, of course. The rooms were obviously small, but having a double bed only 140 cm wide is simply unacceptable. I tried to sleep on the sofa bed, but it was so uncomfortable that the metal frame pressed into my back. The hotel is not only old, but also completely neglected. I had planned to stay for 9 nights, but I moved to another hotel after just one night.

On Princess for one day tour until May. 23 people, loads of rooms. As I pay for the entire party, I have the "we love you" plastic cards from most hotel brands. Used to be Diamond with Hilton, who graded my wife and me down as they do not credit me for group bookings. Also, reception says no status upgrades for HHonors members - as they are Hampton Inn, part of the Hilton group but with no obligation to honor the status. Fair enough. We canceled all further stays at the Hampton Inn on this tour. The hotel is OK, very clean, with great beds, and mediocre breakfast - basically what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. So if you are looking for a budget stay in the area, it's an OK place to stay, hence the 3 stars.

Great stay at this property. We stayed for a full week. The staff was pleasant and efficient and kept the property in great condition. The room was great, bed comfortable, pillows soft, and comforter was nice too. The shower was great, lots of hot water (at times it would go from hot to warm). Soap and shampoo were via pumps. Breakfast was excellent with a more than sufficient selection. Coffee from the machine was tasty too. The room had a safe and the internet was reliable. There was no noise feom the outside. We had no car and the tram station was a 5-7 minute walk. Excellent experience!

Nothing awful to say about this place! The Hampton inn by Hilton Friburg is one of the only chain hotels in the city and its really nice! I stayed here for 2 nights when I was visiting the city for work. I had a very pleasant stay here! The hotel location is a little bit away from the old town area, but it is walk-able. My colleague and I did it several times and it was not that bad. The Hotel is nice and the rooms are nice as well. Its your typical Hampton Inn Hotel. The beds were comfortable, the towels were soft, the bedding felt new. The staff that worked at the hotel was great, personable and kind. They offered great suggestions on dinner recommendations and were very friendly. The Train station is about a 10 to 15 minute car ride from the hotel. Its walkable but its not good if you have a bag with you. I would for sure recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area. I will prob be staying here again this fall. Check it out~
