Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre

Pleasant, clean and functional hotel near the centre of Hamburg. |Rooms are okay with decent air conditioning and comfy beds. We had an odd number room, all of which I believe look out to the busy road outside - so don’t expect much of a view. The noise wasn’t too bad though. |The TV had 1 English channel (BBC news🙄) and didn’t have smart channel functionality nor mirroring. |The staff were all super friendly and helpful and spoke very good English|At Breakfast there was a good choice of hot and cold food. |You can walk to Hamburg centre, or the dockside (Minatur Wunderland) in around 20 minutes but PLEASE stick to the main roads - on arrival at the main train station Citymapper directed us through August Bebel park, a park that was clearly a drug exchange zone, junky hangout and was full of very sketchy people. Not the greatest of welcomes to the city. |Use the Freenow app to book cabs around the city - it works well. |There is a large supermarket (Eska?) and pharmacy very close to the hotel. |Overall, it’s a modern and pleasant hotel on the outskirts of the centre of town

My recent stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located and very clean. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The included breakfast was a great bonus, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg

We enjoyed our 7 night stay at this Hampton. At the front desk, Sandra, Yiota and Nilo all went out of their way to make us feel both welcomed and appreciated. Huge shout out to those three! Breakfast buffet was good, but on some mornings it was hard to find a seat.||Our room, #902 was small, but nice and quiet. We did request that our room be cleaned twice, and they did a good job. Bathroom also small, but functional.||We used public transport during our entire stay, and we found that it was between a 12 and 15 minute walk to the train station. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood.

Overall a good experience. The hotel was located a 10 minute walk to central. The accessibility of the bus stopping outside the hotel from town. The hotel was clean tidy and staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good and the generL surroundings is calm and quiet. The only downside was the pillows . Too soft and just not comfortablefor a good night's sleep.

The extra bed that they arranged for us was uncomfortable it creaked with every movement. No one can sleep in there. We didn’t use it and managed to squeeze comfortably on the larger bed though. We also didn’t bother to have the xtra bed removed since we were only staying for two nights. The room lacked extra cabinets or shelves for storage. Breakfast buffet had enough choices. The area is small and can be really crowded but all people seemed level headed, patient and in a good mood during the times we ate there. They also have plastic utensils for little ones. The food tasted okay, but I would also consider eating brunch somewhere in a nearby restaurant, maybe, because prices are comparable and the options can be redundant if you are staying longer. On the other hand, service was friendly. The staff at the buffet exuded good vibes and the staff at the reception was very good at their work.

Very close to Hamburg Central Station. Staff are friendly, helpful, and mostly English speaking. Breakfast serving area is small, but seating area is spacious. Room is good, can’t complain. 10/10 water pressure

We enjoyed our stay here. The check in was smooth and quick. And the staff recommended great places to eat. It is an easy walk to Central Station and also easy walk to Speicherstadt. The bed was comfortable. Also we needed something printed for our travel the next day. They allowed me to email it to them and printed it for me at no charge. Great friendly service. The breakfast has a lot of options and plenty of seating.

Very near to the main train station. Easily reachable with a direct bus connection. The check in and check out was very smooth and quick. There is a facility to keep your luggage in case you are early and still check in at the hotel. The lobby is nice with different seating arrangements. The rooms are neat and clean and the beds are good. We slept like babies at night. The people at work are very nice and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good and we enjoyed it during our stay. Overall experience was great I would say.

Stay away from this place. To call it "Hampton By Hilton City Center" is really false advertising. It is nowhere near the city center. It's almost on a highway. There's nothing but some random office type building around. No restaurants- nothing. Staff are rude and condescending. Really bad place. Yes, rooms are clean - but that's about it.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was very clean and well kept. Its a short walk from the Train if you choose to leave the airport this way, it was a 25 minute taxi ride when we back to the airport and cost 29 euro. The train took about the same amount of time and was 3.50 euro. All the front desk staff spoke very good English and were very helpful when needed. It was extremely cold so we didn't do much walking to and from the hotel but id imagine in the summer or warmer weather it would be a pleasant walk to the docks and city center. Cab rides to Miniutur Wunderland and the Dock area were about 9 to 11 euro. Do yourself a favor and get the MYtaxi app its their version of Uber and lift and is very handy.
