Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre

Very near to the main train station. Easily reachable with a direct bus connection. The check in and check out was very smooth and quick. There is a facility to keep your luggage in case you are early and still check in at the hotel. The lobby is nice with different seating arrangements. The rooms are neat and clean and the beds are good. We slept like babies at night. The people at work are very nice and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good and we enjoyed it during our stay. Overall experience was great I would say.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre for the first time, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The kindness and hospitality of the staff were outstanding. A special thank you to Miss Panagiota and Miss Jule for all their help during my stay—I sincerely appreciate their warmth and assistance. Whenever I visit Hamburg, this will be my hotel of choice. I can’t wait for my next stay!

Had a great experience here. Rooms were comfy, service was spot-on and breakfast was great every single day. There were a variety of items to choose from, including waffles, fresh fruit, cooked eggs, and so on... would definitely stay here again! Prices are a bit on the higher side if compared to other hotels in Hamburg, and connectivity to the city center could be a bit better, but you have a bus station nearby for leaving and one in the very front of the hotel for arriving.

Quiet, clean, good breakfast. Price reasonable. Location is close to main train station and easy to get to other places. On the way from hotel to main train station you may come across some drug addicts. They do not seem to bother anyone, and I was not afraid personally. But if you are a female travelling alone, keep that in mind if you walk late at night.

Very nice Hotel, the rooms are spacious and the bed is comfy (for my preference). The location of the Hotel is ideal if you are visiting the Theater am Großmarkt (Harry Potter) as it's just a 15 minute walk away. If you want to go to the city center of Hamburg it also just a short walk away, it looks much further away on google maps. There is an underground parking located around the corner from the lobby. Its bright and the parking spaces are large enough. The breakfast is also really good, especially the bacon first time I had a super crispy bacon in a hotel. Our room was on the 7th floor facing the street but it's super quiet.

Ok - as a new diamond member - I was a little peeved at getting a room on the third floor of a 9 floor hotel. However - the room was the absolute farthest from the elevator - so at least it appears they read my profile before I arrived. I also mistakenly thought that I hadn’t received a proper upgrade - but it turns out that at this Hampton, all of the rooms are basically the same. What I wasn’t expecting - was the incredible fast service that the only front desk attendant gave me after i complained that I couldn’t make the room cooler. He came up far faster than I expected and made the room cool enough to sleep. So I recommend this hotel and commend the great service here.

All good, nothing to complain about this hotel. You get a decent 4 star quality with new and well maintained facilities and all you would expect in the room, a decent free of charge breakfast and parking on site in the garage. Why not 5 stars? It’s a bit remote from the city centre and you better take a scooter or public transport to get there, the standard rooms are a bit too small, the parking garage with 24€ per night a bit too expensive.

Great location and within walking distance of the city. There is access to public transport with the 112 bus stop right outside the hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious with all the necessary amenities. The gym is spacious but could do with a little more equipment. Buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.

Stay away from this place. To call it "Hampton By Hilton City Center" is really false advertising. It is nowhere near the city center. It's almost on a highway. There's nothing but some random office type building around. No restaurants- nothing. Staff are rude and condescending. Really bad place. Yes, rooms are clean - but that's about it.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was very clean and well kept. Its a short walk from the Train if you choose to leave the airport this way, it was a 25 minute taxi ride when we back to the airport and cost 29 euro. The train took about the same amount of time and was 3.50 euro. All the front desk staff spoke very good English and were very helpful when needed. It was extremely cold so we didn't do much walking to and from the hotel but id imagine in the summer or warmer weather it would be a pleasant walk to the docks and city center. Cab rides to Miniutur Wunderland and the Dock area were about 9 to 11 euro. Do yourself a favor and get the MYtaxi app its their version of Uber and lift and is very handy.
