Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Stuttgart. I’ve stayed at this chain before and generally find it reliable and satisfactory, and this location was no exception in many respects. The hotel’s location was convenient—close enough to the main sights we wanted to visit—and the overall cleanliness throughout the property was commendable. Breakfast was also a strong point, offering a good variety of options and plenty to choose from.
That said, there were a few areas that could be improved, particularly regarding the room set-up for three guests. The pullout couch, intended as a third bed, was not especially comfortable and didn’t provide the relaxing place we hoped for after long days of exploring. The mattress definitely seemed in need of an upgrade. More concerning, on our second night we discovered that the sheets on the pullout couch were torn and had blood stains—something that should have been noticed and addressed before the room was prepared.
Additionally, the room itself felt too small for three people and seemed equipped only for two, with details such as having just two coffee mugs and cups, and only a single small hook in the bathroom for towels.
Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but based on our past experiences with this hotel chain, we expected a bit more in terms of comfort and attention to detail.
