Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach/Oceanfront

I recently stayed at this hotel for a quick beach trip, and overall I had a positive experience especially with the staff. Check-in at the front desk with Sue was smooth and welcoming. The hotel staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. There was also a gentleman working during breakfast on Sunday morning (I didn’t catch his name) who was especially helpful and attentive. Yeah, I don’t have a red shirt and long hair. Service like that truly makes a difference. That said, there were a couple of downsides. My oceanfront room had a noticeable wet dog smell, which was disappointing. Also, the $25 per night parking fee feels excessive. I’ve chosen to stay at this property for quick beach trips over the last 10 years, and unfortunately, the parking situation alone will likely keep me from returning. I also want to note that the hotel is currently under renovations (it is the off-season), so that’s something to keep in mind when booking. While I’m not disappointed in the staff at all they were amazing the added costs and room issue were enough to make me reconsider staying here again.

This was a great stay. Seems like every room is ocean view, which is cool. Steps from the beach, it’s a great location. The pool was closed when we were there, but it looked nice, with a lazy river, hot tub, and a food truck kind of thing. Staff was all very nice, helpful and accommodating. The onsite restaurant was tasty with great views and lovely service, we were there for taco Tuesday featuring $6 margaritas! We had the carne Asada, which was delicious with big tender chunks of beef. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn style with scrambled eggs, etc one day, and biscuits and gravy the next. I just wish they had non-pork protein options. Room was big, clean and spacious. The heat/ac unit wasn’t working when we got there but they sent someone up right away who quickly got it going. The fitness Center is nice with dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, a pulley machine with pull up bars, they even had a box, but we didn’t feel safe using it because the ceiling is low. Great stay.

We are sharing this review because our check-in experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome at the very start of our vacation. When my husband and I arrived, we warmly greeted the front desk associate, Michelle. We were genuinely excited to begin our trip. Unfortunately, she did not return our greeting, did not make eye contact, and her tone felt cold from the beginning. There were no other guests waiting at that time. My husband proudly serves in the U.S. military, and he politely asked about parking fees and whether any military discounts were available. We fully understand that policies may not allow discounts, but the response we received was abrupt and dismissive, stating that “no matter who you are, you have to pay.” The tone made the interaction uncomfortable. The situation escalated when she repeatedly emphasized that “we don’t profit, you booked through a vacation company,” in a defensive way. For clarity, our reservation was booked through Hilton Vacations, which made her reaction confusing. She continued stressing that they do not profit from such bookings, which made us feel as though we were being blamed for how we reserved the room. It almost felt as if she was personally offended by the booking method, as though she owned the property and the money was coming out of her pocket. There was also confusion about documentation. She insisted on a paper copy of our booking confirmation, although Hilton Vacations had clearly told us that an email copy was sufficient. We calmly offered to provide any information needed. In the end, she simply took my husband’s name and phone number and completed the check-in without requiring the paper copy. If the process was that straightforward, it is unclear why it was initially made so difficult. As an Asian couple with accents, we could not ignore how differently we felt treated. The lack of basic courtesy, defensive tone, and dismissive behavior left us questioning whether bias played a role in the interaction. We do not make that statement lightly, but the experience genuinely made us feel singled out and unwelcome. Despite everything, we remained polite and respectful. Guests should feel welcomed and valued, especially at check-in, which sets the tone for the entire stay. We sincerely hope management reviews this situation carefully, addresses the behavior described, and reaches out. Every guest deserves professionalism, respect, and equal treatment.

While right on the water it is in a run down bag part of town. If you didn't plan on going anywhere you'll be ok at the hotel, I do not recommend walking anywhere, you be approached for money. The rooms are run down, not thoroughly cleaned, like the was pee on the toilet seat! The carpet is tore up and dirty as well. The view though is amazing. Lastly while the hotel is a good rate you have to pay 25 day parking, if your flying in your better to Uber or Lyft where you need to go.

Upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. Loved the full size kitchen. Not a fan of paid parking even with the 50% discount for staying. They lock the doors to the pool and outside gates at night. We didn't know that and was a small inconvenience when taking our dog for a walk before bed. The free breakfast left much to be desired. Not sure if being off season had anything to do with it but even our dog wouldn't eat the eggs or sausage we didn't want. He literally spit the food out. Other than that, check in was great. Room was clean with comfy beds. My husband loved the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. Great views of the ocean. There weren't any luggage carts when we arrived and only a few upon check out. Would stay again now that we know what to expect and for it being dog friendly.

We spent four nights here in December 2025 and I wish we had chosen another property. Soon after we checked in, I started looking for other area options. 1. Condition- The room was in rough shape. The carpet was frayed, the ceiling was peeling, etc. The outlet at the bedside table didn’t work. 2. Cleanliness- Of the four nights we stayed, we received cleaning services one time and only one of the two beds was made. The room was clearly not cleaned thoroughly prior to our stay. There was even a previous guest’s beer left in the fridge. One of the bed’s blanket had an ugly brown stain. 3. Breakfast- I don’t think I’ve seen a less appealing breakfast scenario. There was very little offered. One morning the two hot items dishes were both completely empty. 4. Other- Overall, the hotel was very loud. The layout is a bit confusing. Nearly every guest brought a dog. The parking is very expensive and not included in your room charges. The hotel is old and in need of renovations.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Hampton Inn lately, but my past few stays have been disappointing. We checked in on Christmas Day for a two-night stay and were immediately disappointed by the cleanliness of the room. The floors, furniture, and surface areas were visibly dirty, which is unacceptable for a brand that’s usually reliable.||On the positive side, breakfast was decent, and parking was discounted to $10 per night due to the off-season, which was appreciated. The oceanfront view was great and was easily the best part of the stay.||Overall, the view and a few small conveniences didn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness. This stay fell well below expectations for a Hampton Inn, and unfortunately continues a pattern from recent visits.

Nice Hotel....Location is a bit farther than anticipated from the action, but still walkable. My room was spacious and fresh. Amy at the Front Desk checked us in and was fantastic. Stephen in the restaurant were great and has a great menu for all. Flatbread and Wings were my go to at the restaurant in the hotel.

Warm , Kind, Professional and Friendly We arrived early and with my Hilton Honors we were able to book into our room early. Everyone was so very kind. I did not realize how tired I was but I saw the bed and had a nice little nap. Some days are like that since chemo stole my strength. I go with how I feel these days. Bev and I picked the coldest day of the year to come to the beach. We were not deterred. The view of the ocean from our room was stunning. I opened the sliding glass door just to take in the ocean breeze and smell the fresh salt air. I closed it shortly after as I did not want to heat "all of Myrtle beach " ...as my dad used to tell me as a child. I was totally refreshed. I think Bev was exhausted as well. She took a quick nap on the couch. I watched a few brave folks walking the beach. ( It was cold and windy outside... remember? ) the sun was high up in the sky and not a cloud in sight. The water was constant motion as the waves danced upon the sand. Bev and I went downstairs to the REEL restaurant next to the lobby of this Hotel. Dave greeted us with a warm welcoming smile. Bev decided on a Pina Colada and I just wanted water. Dave created such a beautiful drink for Bev with whipped cream and dressed with a cherry and a huge slice of pineapple. Drinks arrived and we placed our order. Hayden was very professional and welcoming at the same time. He brought our meals to us made by Chef Manika. Both of our dinners were perfectly prepared. She did a wonderful job. Dave and Hayden work so well together. I could tell they really strive to make sure their guests enjoy themselves. Each one made sure we had everything we needed. Hayden was kind and chatted with Bev and I. We were not rushed and the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal experience. The next morning at breakfast ... Michelle greeted us warmly. She helped me carry my tray and get everything I requested for breakfast as my hand shakes a bit. I'm sure if I attempted to carry the tray half my food would be in the ocean and the other half on RT 17. She was very kind. Al and Gail were so friendly. Bev and I enjoyed speaking with them. Al has a great sense of humor and Gail's smile lights up the room. The breakfast choices are too many to name but if you go away hungry I'd say it is your own fault. Be sure to make time for breakfast here. I would be amiss if I did not mention Sharhonda. She worked behind the scenes..or text in this case. We felt like we had our own private connection to anything we needed in the Hotel. Contact Sharhonda and things got done. I ran out of shampoo in my room and Al arrived promptly to replace it. For Easter weekend, we opted out of a big dinner and egg hunt for a weekend at the beach. We wanted a place that had suites large enough for our group (5 adults and 2 kids) and had lots of pools/water activities to keep the kids busy. This Hampton Inn definitely fit the bill on both fronts. Our two bed/2 bath suite had a great setup with a king room and then another room with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds which is rare for hotels (plus a pull out couch). While they also have the beach, I think they have 7 pools or something like that. There were regular pools, lazy rivers, splash pads, indoor and outdoor options, and a jacuzzi. We did have a beautiful day Saturday, but I heard the pools were all still pretty cold so I didn't partake. We actually spent most of the day at the beach relaxing in the sand. Some other things I liked about this hotel stay... *Breakfast was great and included in out stay. I don't generally care if a hotel has breakfast but for 7 of us, it made a difference being able to run downstairs instead of getting everyone out to eat somewhere. *The hotel was recently renovated and seemed very updated and clean in the rooms. *This hotel is close to central Myrtle Beach making it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Some things I didn't love or could use improvement... *They were still renovating so there was a mess down by the pools and you had to navigate around fences to get access or find the bathrooms. Better temporary signage is needed for sure. *No bottled water. Hilton brand gives status members free waters at check in or in the room. Not only were they not available, you could not even purchase a bottle of water. They said they were completely out in the whole hotel. That's an easy fix and should be remedied with a trip to the store. *Even though I asked about parking passes (and they had ran out), it was never mentioned that I'd be charged for parking (which would have been a great time to mention it). It was $15 a night which is fine, but it was a surprise on the bill. When I called to ask about it (marked as miscellaneous fee on the receipt, not parking so I didn't know), they were pretty rude over the phone about it saying it and just said it was listed on the website. Overall, I'm still giving this stay 4 stars because the things that I was annoyed by were small and compared to the rest of the stay, there was way more good than bad. I've also stayed at a lot of these hotels for similar trips or guys trips I plan in Myrtle, and this is definitely one of the better stays we've had. I would book again in hopes that they've resolved some of the issues.

TL;DR: Recommended. Clean hotel with good access to the beach. Multiple pools and free breakfast. ***Accommodation*** This is one of better maintained Hampton Inn with pleasant ocean views. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free coffee throughout the day and hot breakfast until 10 am. Large dining hall for breakfast, and we always found empty tables. On-site parking at no additional cost. Special parking spots (30 min limit) near the entrance for check-in. ***Beach*** The beach was easily accessible and beach towels are available for guests. Grab them during check-in. Beach chairs and umbrella are available for rent from a third-party vendor on the beach for $45/day ***Food and neighborhood*** This hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar. There are not a lot of walkable food options. But multiple options for restaurants with driving distance. We maximized our time in water and got our food delivered for lunches. Drove to town for dinners. There is Walmart Neighborhood Market located within one block of this hotel. Note that this is just the Neighborhood Market and not a full-fledged Walmart. ***Overall*** I recommend this hotel for a beach getaway. For the price point, it is a good beach front property.

Fantastic location, great breakfast buffet, really superb bar & restaurant (Reels) and really nice and helpful staff. Beach access and 7 pools!

First, I'd like to compliment the staff here at this Hotel - everyone I encountered on our short stay was LOVELY and went above and beyond (applause/applause/applause!). The VIEW is GORGEOUS. I mean HEY, you're right on the beach & it's really exquisite - that is the MAIN bonus for this location. I will say that the breakfast was good, with plenty to offer and the eating area was big & clean. They also (like most Hampton's) keep coffee, hot water, coco & hot tea available 24/7. Also, very pretty holiday decor. The DECOR - was sooooooo dated. It wasn't "unbearable" and the linens were all very clean & beds were very comfy (much more important those things). The carpets need replacing (please please please get LVP in these rooms!) and the furniture is so incredibly dated and worn. Again, it wasn't "unbearable", but when I pay over $340 per night it should not be so OLD (cracked tile floors with back grout, toilet seats, showers....OMG the toilet seat looked like it was from the 80's - that was a little gross). An added pet peeve - NO STREAMING?? There was on-demand available but the system is SO antiquated and you can't even tell what season/episode an icon is so you could spend hours just trying to find the episode you left off on in a series. It's been my 'rebellion' lately that if a hotel doesn't have updated STREAMING then I'm NOT STAYING THERE AGAIN. My hotel stays are almost always leisure, and we like to watch our Netflix or Hulu program in the evenings or stream a movie. It's just not OK in today's world to not have better tech - it's not difficult & most already have smart-tv's or access to devices. I shouldn't have to haul my FireTV Cube around with me on a trip.

Within minutes of checking in a Cockroach just came in from under the front door and walked around the bathroom. He left and went into the hallway because he couldn't find anything to eat. Then the regular roach the next day. Front desk employee asked me which roach I saw and then she said the palmetto bug is the state bug. Never knew that.. disappointed and disgusted at the same time. I kept all my bags zipped and off f the ground at all times and a towel at the entrance of my door when I was in the room.. Pest control issue. Indoor pools didn't look clean at all and we saw the pool cleaner doing something with the outdoor pool and not cleaning the indoor pool.

We just finished up a week long stay here. The hotel is beautiful and clean. We loved the common spaces on the lobby floor. This was perfect for enjoying our take out or for game night with the kids. Due to Covid there were some changes made. Instead of a warm continental breakfast they had brown bag options such as prepackaged bagels, muffins and cereal. They were also not offering room cleaning during our week stay. You can call the front desk though and ask for clean towels and trash removal. We just had to deal with the sandy floor. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Super clean, very friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous views and nice breakfast. What a great family destination- plenty of things for the whole family to enjoy! Who doesn't love fresh cookies after 4:00PM in the lobby?! Large lobby areas to enjoy gatherings with friends and family.

The master bedroom in the 2 bedroom unit is almost flush with the ocean, just amazing! The remodeling of the rooms looks fresh and modern. Tristin at the front desk was professional and provided outstanding customer service! We will be back for sure.

Still a good place to stay when in Myrtle Beach. We haven't been for a few years and decided to go for a few days recently. Since COVID is still going on, they don't clean your rooms during your stay, but you can request towels, toiletries, etc. Here's the Good and the Not So Good from our stay: Good: 1) Rooms were clean and I appreciated that they don't enter your room during your stay. We'd put our trash out in a garbage bag each day and it would get removed fairly quickly. They also would pick up any dirty towels we put out. 2) If you need fresh towels, you can just go ask at the front desk and they'll give them to you, as well as toiletries. 3) They are serving their free hot breakfast. The items change most mornings - i.e. Cheese Omelet and Sausage, scrambled eggs and links, etc. They also have Bakery items, cereals, juices, fruit, yogurt, etc. You can eat in the dining area, take it to your room, or sit outside on the veranda in a rocking chair. 4) Beautiful views - we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite and were on the 6th floor. You can rock in your chair and people watch and listen to the waves. Very relaxing. 5) They have a bar by the pools that is open approximately 11-4 each day. Several days they also offered Hot Dogs and Chips, as well as frozen and unfrozen drinks, beers, water, soda, etc. 6) Pools and Lazy River were clean and not overly crowded. 7) Plenty of seating most days, as well as tables with umbrellas and chairs. 8) Easy beach access - they have 2 foot bridges that take you over to the beach. You can also rent Chairs and umbrellas from the Lifeguard at the beach. Not So Good: 1) I miss the outdoor snack bar. It use to serve hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, etc. They do have a bar and it does sell Hot dogs most days. I understand it's not open due to the labor shortage (too hard to find help). Hopefully it will be back. 2) It's really noisy at night - every night between 9pm and Midnight, people were setting off fire works next door and along the beach, but it was mostly the hotel/motel to the right most nights. We enjoyed watching them, but if you want to keep your door open, expect loud booms on and off for a few hours. If you have young kids that go to bed early, this could be a problem. Although, in a suite, there is an interior bedroom, that is somewhat isolated from the noise. 3) The pool towel situation - they don't have a clear policy for towels. They are supposed to be at the pool level on shelves. Some days they are and some days they aren't. Also, they are pretty much gone very early. I think because of this, one day there was a person on the pool level you could ask for a towel. On two other days, I had to go to the lobby and request towels. While I was able to get towels when we needed them, having to look in 3 separate places to get them was frustrating. 4) Elevators are pretty slow during peak breakfast hours and late afternoon. The older, south tower only has 2 elevators, while the North tower has 3. I recommend staying in the North Tower for better elevator access and updated rooms. We've stayed in both, but the elevators were frustrating this time, so I will request North Only in the future. Tips for if you go and are a first timer: 1) There is a Walmart Neighborhood Market just up the street (up 17th) at the corner of Kings Highway. Great, inexpensive place to stock up for the week. They also sell alcohol. 2) There are a ton of beach shops nearby. Our favorite was Whales. Go up 17th to Kings Highway and turn left...it's just up on the left. It has a much nicer selection than Eagles. You can get Wave Boards at most beach shops for a couple dollars, as well as beach toys and beach towels. 3) If you want to go out to eat and avoid the crush of Boardwalk on the Beach, go to Market Common. Take a left on King's Highway and then a right (after a couple miles) on Farrow Parkway. This leads into Market Common. There are helicopter tours on the right before Farrow Parkway. Also a nice Aviation Park with replica planes. Once in Market Common, there are shops and many decent restaurants: Nacho Hippo, Gordon Beirsh, Honey Tupelo, etc. Also a great Poke area if you have kids that Pokémon Go. 4) We didn't see it this trip, but on a previous trip we went to The Pirate Show and really enjoyed it. Especially fun if you have kids.

After spending four nights/days at this location I decided to write a review. Let me just say that this is a great location! The entry is very welcoming with a kind of southern-country/beach theme (if there is such a thing) with plenty of seating to play a board game, have a relaxing conversation, read a book or just watch the waves. Upon getting to the room it was clean, had plenty of towels and a great view of the beach. We had a suite which was great as it had room for sitting down and having a meal as we were a party of four. I didn't however understand why they had two microwaves. Anyway, I digress, the bed provided a comfortable night of rest and the shower temperature and settings were awesome because I love a nice hot shower. Now, what I didn't care for was the fact that the bathroom floor didn't appear to have been cleaned in weeks. I understand that it's COVID so daily cleaning is a thing of the past but, after calling the front desk and asking for four towels and face cloths then having two hours elapse and not receiving them we had to call again. When maintenance came to our room they brought us three towels. We had to inform him that this was incorrect so he brought us an additional one shortly after. (-1 star) The pools were all dirty and had a tremendous amount of sand in them. There are also no "indoor pools" as they are actually outside and simply covered. The only warm pool was the hot tub which had opaque looking water in it so no, I didn't dare get in. (-1 star) The parking lot was always full of trash. Even the entry ways were full of trash and cigarettes butts. I will never understand why people just throw trash on the ground, I can only assume it is a lack of "home training". I digress again. Nevertheless, clearly the hotel is short staffed or no one was scheduled for exterior cleaning and pool maintenance. (-1star) Overall, as I stated above this is a great location! With a little updating and TLC this place could receive more stars.

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Myrtle beach. The location was perfect for activities and many restaurants are in walking distance. However, you definitely need to use your car to visit many other attractions. There was ample parking in the parking garage connected to the rooms. Our beach front room was clean and our daughter enjoyed the free daily cookies and popcorn in the lobby. We enjoyed are trip so much we are thinking about making this our yearly spot for a few days to get away. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

This review is hard, so consider this more of a 3.5 Star Review. Booked a very expensive room as other Hilton's were booked up. Supply and demand economy at it's finest. We only learned the reason our room was extremally expensive was because a major county music fest was going on that weekend. We have spent less $$ for 5 Star Resorts with ocean front views in Hawaii. Would had been a 4 star review but that was a turn-off after finding that out. The staff was very friendly. Free parking was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean, layout was a little strange though. 2 Bedroom but only 1 bath. There was a shower/tub combo and then a really tiny shower behind it. Not sure who's idea that was, but it was a poor one. The pools were nice, and mostly clean. Hard to keep sand out when guests are actively rinsing their feet and other items in them before they go back to their rooms. Can't blame the hotel for those inconsiderate people. The pool bar was terrible. Drinks aren't horribly expensive but they contain VERY LITTLE alcohol. Not sure what I'm paying for then. This hotel is NOT in the nice/safe part of town. Not much in the area which has it's perks as it's not too crazy, but be careful when walking around after the sun goes down.

FAYE STCLAIR deserves 10 stars!!!! Back story: I used Booking.com to get a hotel for a short weekend stay with a late arrival. When I got to this place I was concerned because it looked run down but I proceeded to check in even though the site pictures were a total LIE and went into a room that was funky with sheet rock dust EVERYWHERE. When we open the door there was a crusty dirty towel on the floor at the door and both the beds were about to fall down. Refusing to stay there I demanded a refund and checked out. Now I'm roaming different hotels now at 1 a.m. and ended up at HAMPTON INN AND SUITES BY HILTON. I am huge on customer service and I was pleasantly greeted by FAYE STCLAIR. She then asked how are you doing? I shared my dilemma and she listened. She then went above and beyond to accommodate us! I was put in a room that matched the customer service. This hotel is VERY CLEAN, well maintained, great amenities and the ocean view... beautiful!!! I am now a rewards member and will always lodge here because of the great experience I had at the Hampton Inn at Myrtle Beach. FAYE StClair thank you for saving our much needed weekend!!!!!

This is a fairly large complex situated just south of the center of Myrtle Beach. Building itself features two towers, one is North and one is south, served by a central lobby. There is a private parking garage with ample space, and outlets on the second deck for electric vehicles. But there is no charging station itself, so bring your own cord. The building is oceanfront and the beach is extremely nice. The hotel features numerous pools both indoor and outdoor and two lazy Rivers. Each tower has its own breakfast area but in the offseason only one breakfast area is open each day. Food is typical Hampton. Not great, but adequate. During the week there was plenty of seating. On the weekend, it was packed and they had trouble keeping food available. Each tower is served by two elevators which go to the top floor, number 14. The physical plant itself is okay, maybe needs a slight renovation to take care of worn carpets, etc. Bathroom has some mold in the shower. Walls are very thin. You can hear anything people in the adjoining rooms say as clearly as if they were in your room. Staff is all friendly and helpful. One odd thing, there are Hilton reps in the lobby who will buttonhole you and try to get you to visit a nearby timeshare. Didn't appreciate the sales pitch in my hotel while on vacation. Digital key is available but you still have to check in with the front desk before they can issue the digital key due to local regulations. The neighborhood around the hotel has a Walmart but not much in the way of restaurants. What sets this hotel apart from most others is the large, bright and airy public spaces. My rating system is three stars for places to which I would return, four stars for places at which I would like to be a regular and five stars for places to which I would drive out of my way. This hotel has me a bit conflicted. It's a perfectly good hotel, I'm just not sure I would return based on the value and the location and dealing with the noise of other guests.

Literally steps away from the beach. My family and I decided to run away from home for Christmas and this was the perfect getaway. The staff was friendly and the views were amazing from our oceanfront suite. Luckily, they didn't have the typical COVID box breakfast. A wide variety of options were available for the self service, bag & go, complimentary breakfast. Muffins, instant grits, cereal, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice, and coffee, just to name a few things. Our suite was very clean and spacious with a balcony view of the beach. The best part was watching the sunrise in the rocking chairs. I'll definitely return.

We were in Myrtle Beach for one night and was fortunate enough to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites at 1803 South Ocean Blvd. We were met by Tristen at the front desk and she was great! Assisted us with the check in process and made it an enjoyable experience! Beach access was easy and breakfast was nice! Would definitely stay again mostly because of Tristen and accommodations! Thank you

We just got back from a short vacation with our children. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay. Pros: -Room was clean and housekeeping does not enter during your stay. If you need anything extra, just ask. -Morning breakfast every day and had a decent assortment. The hot options changed every day. -Staff was friendly and very helpful with questions -Shuttle to bring you within 5 mile radius of hotel -Great location, south of the boardwalk and the more crowded area of Myrtle Beach -Great kids pool area Cons: -Pool towel situation needs better organization. People were grabbing more towels than needed and then the supply was gone for others -There needs to be a pool area attendant. Kids taking lazy river floats to use in main pool, people smoking next to a "no smoking in this area" sign, kids jumping in an already crowded pool

The pools are filled with trash, like dirty diapers and plastic bags for days. No one is cleaning them. There's cigarette butts all over the pool area. Our room was marginally cleaned, some remotes in plastic, others not, dirty dishes in cabinets, etc. The location is amazing and the potential is there, it's just not coming together.

Good hotel. Although, a little bit expensive for what you get. A buffet breakfast is served to all hotel customers. This hotel gives out cookies and lemonade at 4PM make sure you stop by when they are warm and fresh (flavors are various they have Peanut butter, Macadamia, Chocolate dough with white chocolate chunks, chocolate chip, and raisin). I recommend grabbing a bowl from the south tower breakfast area and just grab a whole bowl of them. Check out the 14th story on both the North and South tower for a relaxation lounge that I though was really cool. If you are driving make sure you bring some umbrellas and chairs, as the beach is not owned by the hotel and you have to pay to receive chairs and umbrellas at $40 dollars a day. The beach is a lot more peaceful after 7PM and is open all day. A few things that should be considered or added is more security around the hotel's premises. Some homeless people walked in and cussing and started eating some of the breakfast. Also, the south tower needs to be renovated, their is only 2 elevators for 14 stories with each of them having lots of rooms, the wait should be handled.

I had a 3 day stay and was without a tv for 2 of those days. I called he front desk to request an engineer come to the room to try to fix it. Lady said he is on the way. Never showed. The next day I went tothe front desk and asked for an engineer, her repsonse was, "He called in sick today". They didn't have any rooms to move me. Eventhough I am a Diamond member, all guest deerve better! UNACCEPTABLE

First off the staff is very sweet, and super accommodating. We drove 13 hours, and paid a good amount for a few days for February vacation. They wanted to put us on the first floor with not much of an ocean view, and once I explained how long we drove, the women at the desk understood and stuck us on thr 12th floor. Absolutely amazing views. Breakfast was great, simple food, always hot and fresh. We lucked out and got gorgeous weather and were able to use the pools and sit on the beach one day! The rooms are definitely dated, but once you drive up and down the strip, you'll notice this resort seems to be very nice compared to others. Firm,but comfy bed. Carpets could be newer, but not anything to complain about. Overall this a great place to stay, you get what you pay for! We can't wait to come back.

Hotel beyond nice! Heated pools four or five of them. Nice workout center and business room. Free on demand movies loved that. ONLY problem I had was that there was a sign on front desk as soon as you come in. The sign was saying how committed they were to being safe from Covid and how mask required but NOT one employee had on a mask. Matter of fact the only people that had on one..guest in lobby included were me and my husband. The guy in the room beside us woke us up at 3 am with nonstop coughing. I guess he wanted to make sure that we heard him because as we were leaving he began to walk down hall coughing violently without covering his mouth. I will definitely be back but not while the pandemic is still here. Honestly, I was ready to go as soon as we got there because I didn't feel safe at all. I can't take anything from the beautiful hotel, nice hammocks, pools and much more!

Nice hotel on the beach, was in a busy area and parking garage is somewhat difficult. Not easily accessible to unpack/pack. Many guests did not follow covid guidelines and would crowd in elevators not wearing a mask. House keeping staff didn't speak English. We enjoyed our stay, but there are more affordable options with more amenities near by.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here, the rooms are clean and comfortable, even the sofa bed was very comfortable! The price was reasonable for being right on the beach. It also has two outdoor pools, a wave pool, a kiddie pool and a jacuzzi. Even with it being during COVID they serve a very nice continental breakfast. We didn't partake but they serve fresh baked cookies at 4:00 pm every day. The only downside was that you have to rent your beach chairs and umbrellas. We felt it was a little pricey at $65 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for 2 days. Definitely worth staying here!

This hotel is beautiful. The lobby area has a beautiful bay window with amazing ocean views. There are TONS of sitting areas to sit inside or on covered balconies and view ocean. Indoor pools as well as outdoor pools and lazy river. Our room had such an amazing view of the ocean. We were in a double queen room. The room itself was clean and sufficient for our needs. It isn't fancy and "modern" but wasn't worn down. Parking garage is a bit tight for larger vehicles. Would definitely stay here again. Due to covid there is no "hot" breakfast but there was plenty to choose from.

Clean, good location, and affordable. We didn't really interact with the staff so i can't say much on it. I recommend it.

Decent Hampton Inn in Myrtle Beach, right on the beach. The entrance is a little challenging at first to figure out, and the parking garage is tight. But there is parking right up front of the hotel. Interior is comfortable and accommodating. My room was large enough, and had everything you expect. But it is a little dated in feel. I did not have any breakfast, nor any other interactions with staff other than at check in. Would I return, sure.

Just came back from a 7 night vacation stay at this location. Before I begin, just wanted to give full disclosure on 2 things: 1.) When travelling with family for week long summer vacation, we usually stay at resort through HGVC (members for over 20 years). 2.) We frequently stay at Hampton Inn for shorter weekend getaways, this was first time staying with Hampton Inn for a full week. We had the 2 BR / 2BA Oceanfront suite (master bedroom had King size bed, second bedroom had Queen bed and bunk beds which the kids got a kick out of!) On our last trip to Myrtle Beach in 2019 we stayed at HGVC resort, Ocean Enclave to use our Club Points. This year waited too long to book with Club Points (somewhat challenging in Covid climate) and was unable to secure resort with HGVC Club Points. Initially disappointed that had to pay out of pocket, but it was money well spent. When compared to resort at Ocean Enclave, this room was pretty much comparable for 2 BR / 2 BA suite. Terrific oceanfront views with private balcony, great poolside area with multiple pools to choose from, and just steps from the beach! To be honest, I think we enjoyed the poolside environment here more than Ocean Enclave. As we've discovered recently at other hotels in current Covid climate, no housekeeping service during your stay, but if you need anything just let them know. Everything went seamless with this - at one point switched out towels, just leave dirty ones outside door and they leave a sealed bag of fresh towels for you! In addition, housekeepers in hallways that are cleaning out vacated rooms are always helpful and accommodating with providing anything you need (toilet paper, bathroom toiletries, etc). Staff is incredibly courteous, polite and friendly. Special shout-out to Pam - always hustling to make sure breakfast items are promptly refilled, and after breakfast wraps up, she is down at the pool making sure fresh towels are readily available! Her vibrant energy always put a smile on our face! Downstairs lobby / lounge / dining area is gorgeous - certainly the nicest I have ever seen for a Hampton Inn! Typical Hampton Inn breakfast was awesome as usual - hot trays of egg & sausage, make your own waffles, muffins / danish / breads / bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, and various juices. Coffee / tea is available 24/7. One nice perk about this location is that they offer a complimentary shuttle. Did not take advantage of this since we drove down, but it is certainly nice to know in the event we decide to fly down and stay here again. Shuttle takes you anywhere in 5 mile radius, and that certainly covers a lot of ground for great dining / shopping / attractions (Broadway At The Beach, Market Common, Sky Wheel / Boardwalk, Myrtle Beach State Park), plus they offer the shuttle service to/from airport! If you drive there like I did, there is plenty of onsite parking. For extra wiggle room and plenty of spots, go right to the 3rd level (rooftop). Another quick tip - no need to come down with a ton of food for your stay...there is a Walmart Neighborhood Market right down the block. Full sized supermarket including beer / wine, with the great Walmart prices! Overall this was a terrific experience and the suite exceeded my expectations. We will certainly be staying here again when we return to Myrtle Beach. Awesome job, Hampton Inn & Suites!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time on our visit. We had not visited here in a number of years. The hotel and rooms are very clean. No smoke smells. Pool area is clean too. The staff was very helpful! Highly recommend and we will return next year! Idea location. Close to restaurants and other activities. C Jones

I've visited friends staying at this hotel and I've stayed here for business so I was somewhat familiar when I planned a family getaway for the weekend at this hotel. I booked the 2 queen room with no view. The room was very clean and had a microwave, refrigerator, small balcony and small bathroom. The room had rocking chairs on the balcony which is a nice feature. The lobby is spacious and the views of the beach are very nice. When we visited it was during the pandemic and the governor had all pools closed, but they were still being cleaned and had tape roping it off. They also were not allowed to set up the breakfast buffet so the staff had put together grab n go bags with a water, apple, nutri grain bar and muffin. The coffee stations were still in service. My only complaint is the location, it's very noisy in the evening, especially on the balcony as you can hear all the noise from ocean BLVD. The street access to get to the hotel is pretty much bumper to bumper so it's a bit of a hassle to leave to go the nicer restaurants, which are a few miles away. Overall I would still recommend this hotel for the price and beach location. Our family enjoyed this establishment!

The amenities here are endless!!! Several pools, hot tubs, water areas for kids, gym, directly on the beach!! Breakfast was great! Michael at front desk was great!! Room was very nice with fridge. Will definitely come back.

Perfect spot for a beach vacation!! If you're going to the beach and want someplace that's totally relaxing then this is it! Be sure and request Oceanfront not Oceanview thru the hotel. Room was perfect and listed as oceanview which I thought would have been total view but we ended up on the end of the hotel with a partial view. Had a balcony with 2 rockers. Airport shuttle thru this hotel plus a wonderful hot buffet breakfast each morning. Lots of cozy family areas to eat, play cards or just sit and relax!! Cookies and lemonade each afternoon. Many pools and hot tub and just a few steps away from the beautiful ocean!!! Would definitely stay here again!!

I stayed at this terrific hotel a couple of years ago and loved it so much, I only wanted to stay here again on this visit to Myrtle Beach. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated in a very beachy, nautical way. I loved the rockers on the balcony and the beautiful clear ocean view. This place is the best. You have choices on how you want to cool off, with multiple pools, hot tubs and lazy rivers on the property. I can't forget to mention the comfy hammocks in the pool area. I loved kicking back in the mornings on the free wi-fi while enjoying a full, hot complimentary breakfast. The parking garage is another plus. I'd give this Hampton Inn & Suites more than 5 stars if it were possible. I'm already planning a return trip to Myrtle Beach and you can best bet I'll be staying here again. Loves it!!!!!

Clean rooms, good staff, quite location and decent breakfast. I have stayed here several times over the years and they remain consistently good.

Staff was beyond amazing. Everyone was kind, accommodating and professional. Rooms were immaculate and I am a snob about clean rooms. Beach is beautiful. Breakfast was hot and had a lot of options. Lots of beautiful sitting areas around the hotel to read. Literally steps from the beach. Small pools outside for the kids to play in and a great family resort. Gym was small but adequate. We will absolutely be going back.

Stayed here Easter weekend and it wasn't quite what we expected. The hotel itself was nice, albeit dated. The rooms were clean and customer service was acceptable. You're literally on the beach so the view is superb. A few cons: 1. The showers are somewhat small. 2. The pillows are horrible; very flat which made for a bad night's sleep. 3. The area has numerous hotels lined up on the same street and some appear to be seedy with suspect guests hanging out front. At times, some of them even blocked the entrance/exit to our hotel. 4. The streets were very congested and it took a long time to get to short distances. The streets are also poorly lit at night. 5. The elevators were very rickety and seemed unstable.

Bad location. The area seems a little rough. Our room wasn't ready at 5 pm due to lack of help. Went down to the pool area and it was pretty dirty and unappealing.

Pleasant desk staff. Very nice & efficient... Allowed us to check in early & had a room available... Could do without the concierge, who wants to sell you an ownership package.. Had to shut him down.. They have a variety of pools, indoor, for everyone... The free breakfast is nice, but somewhat lacking... Except for the sliced almonds & raisins; everything has an after taste... The eggs are not quite real, the fruit may be out of a can... taste not quite right... The banana was good, the boiled egg not bad... Yogurt, well it's packaged & full of sugar... No meat, on a Keto diet, not a good thing... they had the usuals otherwise; oatmeal, pastries (mostly packaged), bagels & cook your own waffles.... all carbs, unfortunately... Cheese for your eggs, pats of real butter, sliced almonds, black & blonde raisins... Seating areas excel, window seats to watch the surf, couch & chairs near a propane fireplace; cozy... makes the other areas feel cold... USA Today papers to those registered guests...

Two night stay first night we walk in and put things up wipe down counters and things to find a baby roach. Day two we get ready to walk out the door there was one on the wall, later that evening we go to bed with a roach on our head board and in the bath room there were two more. Who wants to be with the roaches???? This Managment feels that it is perfectly ok to be among them. When they ask questions are they big??? WTF man really. Roach infested hotel see the pics bel

Second year in a row my wife and I have stayed here in January/February. We really enjoy coming here with friends for a few days. The hotel is not an a "Typical Myrtle Beach" resort but has a nice home feel about it. The hotel for the two years we have stayed has always been well kept up and the rooms are well maintained. Housekeeping is in and out very quickly so long all day weights for fresh towels or bedding. Breakfast is always good and great variety. Parking deck looks small, but plenty of parking in the off season. Although ramps up and down deck are a bit tight. Hotel is less than 5 miles from restaurants and entertainment. But there is no bad view when your room is oceanfront and I enjoy the rocking chairs on your porch.

Both times we've stayed in Myrtle Beach, we've stayed at the Hampton Inn Oceanfront. We had paid for this stay with points Upon check-in they even acknowledged that we had been there previously (5+ years ago!), and let us know about some of the updates since we were last there. My kids enjoyed the free cookies, and I enjoyed the awesome view of the ocean from the front lobby. There was ample parking in the parking structure. There is also a new Walmart a block away for all of your beer drinking needs. We were up on the 10th floor with an Oceanview. It was stunning and my wife and I spent some time out there enjoying the scenes. Our room was clean, but a little tight for our family of 5, but we were going to be sleeping here, not living here. Only downside was that the AC unit keep leaking condensate (water) on the carpet. Initially, I blamed my messy 7 year old. Breakfast was good. Since my kids and I were up early to beachcomb, we were among the first at breakfast. The food was typical Hilton Fare. The pools were still awesome. We didn't spend as much time in them as last time we were here, but the covered ones are a godsend to shelter us from the mid-day sun. We did not use the spa or the gym on this visit.

Not a bad hotel in the Meath type Hilton properties. However, don't expect any amenities to be close by. And the shuttle is extremely limited. The staff was very nice. The room was fine, nothing fancy but clean. They need a good restaurant nearby to make me stay here again. And expand the shuttle service- to not service the boardwalk is crazy.

Amazing Very clean rooms especially the bathrooms. They could scrub the bathroom grout better but that's just the way I am at home. The gym is fantastic. It's clean and has a lot to offer. I love that they have a water dispenser because I didn't have a water bottle. They also offer towels which is another huge plus I looked at the pool and it seems nice. We are here for the beach so I doubt I will be in the pool. The breakfast is nice and has a good variety of food. Also good food for the kids. I wish we could stay here longer on vacation I would have given this place 5 stars, but I cannot I called last night to get a few more pillows since we are a family of 5 and we didn't have enough. I called and they told me to come to front desk. I've never had to go to the front desk for anything I'm used to having someone run it up to my room. I was already in pjs and I spent my son to get it. Other than that I am enjoying my stay here.

Sadly this place has taken a spiral nose dive. It needs cosmetic work as well as staffing. We had several issues from food on the headboard, shoes sticking to the carpet so bad that they had to clean the carpets while we were out after asking 3 different times, tile on the pool laying in the middle of the walkway, people smoking marijuana by the pool and when we notified the front desk to at least come survey the pool area tidy never sent anyone, and the tables in the breakfast areas chipped up that they had a signs on the table that said to be careful broken glass instead of simply taking the table out of the area. I heard the property was purchased back in November so who knows if they plan to update or simply allow it to continue falling apart.

Was super excited to have a brief getaway. Clean environment and friendly staff always helps. They were very good about reminding people firmly yet nicely to wear masks in public areas. I'm a Hampton/Hilton fan anyways so that may in fact add some lean to my review, but I will not hesitate to put a dirty place with poor service on blast if not out of my sheer disappointment.

I liked this Hotel. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good and very convenient. The elevators are fast, the bathrooms worked as they should. The parking is a little strange at first, but very convenient once you figure it out. I personally like the location, because you can walk to Walmart to resupply.

This hotel is great and reasonable for a family. Great service, nice pools, beachfront and the suite was perfect sized for our family. I would highly recommend this property.
