"Perfect for budget-conscious families, I like that the Hampton Inn & Suites (located near Vanderbilt University) is pet-friendly, has a large pool, and includes breakfast." - Matthew Kepnes

Parking lot was a challenge, the spots are very skinny and everything was very tight. We had to park quite a ways from the door just to maneuver a small minivan. When we entered, there was a young man at the desk who couldn’t help us check in. We waited for a lady to finish up with her break. We found out during check in that the parking isn’t included, it’s outsourced and is 35.00/day. Make sure you add that to the cost of your stay per day, when considering the value. We were given the keys and not any direction on where the elevators were located. We asked about an ice machine and were told it was on the 5th floor. It was actually on the floor we were on (not sure why they didn’t know that). When we got to our room, the first thing I did was shower (it was adequate) but the toilet continued running. I took the lid off the tank and realized through an investigation that the handle needed replaced. We only stayed one night, had breakfast the next morning and left. I have almost always gone to a Hampton inn in the past, but over the last few years they have been on a decline. I may be changing my go-to in the future.

My friend and I booked this hotel for a conference, as it was much more affordable than the designated conference hotels. Overall, it was a solid stay. The free breakfast was a definite highlight, with hot options like scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth, and there was plenty of parking available. The room was fairly basic, but the bed was comfortable, and I slept well each night. However, soundproofing was lacking — I could clearly hear both traffic outside and footsteps in the hallway. The TV lacked streaming options, and there was no in-room safe, which may be a drawback for some. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked with towels, though the shower knob was loose, even if the shower itself worked fine. The fitness center was adequate, though both treadmills were out of order during my stay. Thankfully, the elliptical worked. In all, a decent value stay with friendly service and a great location, even if a few amenities and maintenance items could use some improvement.

We stayed 4 nights in June. It's a great location, friendly staff. They had cookies, which is always good. They have a shop in the lobby with drinks and food, a microwave, and a few gift items. Restaurants are within walking distance. We did drive to P F Changs one night which is not far, but the Graduate, an Italian restaurant Valentino's and The Row (country cooking) are just across the street so all within walking distance. We would stay there again.

Google
Great location near Vanderbilt Medical Center. Make sure to ask for the parking code prior to paying. (Free for patients staying at the hotel), otherwise parking is pricey. Hotel is in a severe need of a refresh. Banged up walls, elevator thresholds, worn/dirty carpets in hallways. While a value hotel - Hilton should do better to keep them in better shape.

Employees were incredibly nice. Hotel is getting old. Had trouble getting the shower to work. The closet is really small. We neefd racks for luggage. Elevators are noisy at night. Breakfast was great.

This hotel is not worth the money! Even though the location is convenient to a lot of things, and that’s what you’re really paying for, the entire place is in dire need of a deep clean and a remodel. The furnishings and finishes are all in bad shape (see attached photos). Additionally, the bathroom sink didn’t drain, and you hear a lot of road noise (which is somewhat expected due to the area) at all hours. I would not spend the money to stay here again.

Google
The hotel location is very convenient with restaurants directly behind the hotel serving everything from tacos, barbecue, vegetarian and healthy food choices. Fine dining and live music directly behind the hotel. Kendra Austin was extremely professional and helpful. If you’re there, ask her for recommendations on anything you need in the area.

Google
What we appreciated was the reasonablye cost and 2 block walk to Vanderbilt University. One of the desk clerks was rude to me when I requested assistance with baggage as a person in my 70s who drove to the venue. This was available with a young man who worked there and was very helpful, but the rude clerk still has not been forgotten. I tipped the young man very well, but I shouldn't have been mocked by the clerk and her co-worker.

Yelp
This is one of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. The employee at the front desk barely gave a rip about anything. The motel is so run down. It's super dirty and in poor repair. The elevators were filthy and the floors had stains and cracked and destroyed tiles. Our room stunk. I think it was the A/C but I'm not certain. I didn't walk on the carpet in bare feet. The bathroom clearly had a leak on the ceiling above the toilet because typically could see the terrible repair effort. The toilet was reset crooked. People must always be slamming the doors because each door on our floor had a round chair legs pad stuck to it, I guess to help absorb some of the sound. We were there for only two nights and I would have left immediately if we had t have had to pay for the parking ahead of time. Parking ended up being $80. CRAZY. Don't stay here. Plenty of other better choices in the area.

Yelp
So the hotel is super clean - lobby, rooms, elevators - but this hotel is long long long overdue for a refresh. Our bathtub had seen better days - though clean, the acrylic or plastic (or whatever it's made of) was permanently stained. The water pressure is a disgrace - the tinkling shower was hot but everyone someone nearby flushed or turned on their shower, the water pressure decreased even more. BUT - the location can't be beat, and as far as hotels in the area go, the price is right.

Yelp
This hotel wasn't bad if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a couple of nights, but it is not the place to be if you are trying to work remotely. The internet was very slow even after getting the promotional code, and the outlets were so loose I had to keep wiggling the cord to get a charge. The outlet was better when I sat at the desk. On the positive, the front desk staff were great especially the girl who took her time to help me connect to the internet when the hotel pop up window wouldn't come up on my computer. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air worked well and the shower had hot water. Also it was close to downtown. Not necessarily in walking distance depending who you are, but Uber and Lyft got there quick.

Yelp
Central. Affordable. Dated. Centrally located hotel far enough off of downtown to let you sleep, but close enough to traffic to still keep you up at times. Hotel is basic and a bit dated around the ends with various in room items like lamp shades that need replacement and doors that block toilets across multiple rooms. Beds and linens are always clean, but mattresses could use a refresh. Proximity to Vanderbilt university and several Music Row destinations is great, with the amazing Midtown Café directly across the street for those seeing more than the usual Marriott breakfast sandwich.

Yelp
It is not my style to put negative reviews on a website before reaching out to the company. Please see my experience at your hotel. Our experience at Loew's Nashville. When we arrived, we were offered a bigger room, so of course we said yes. When we got to the room, the condition was a bit disappointing. We were shocked to see that our view was a rooftop HVAC system. This is information. I think should've been told to us when offering us that bigger room. I've included pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. See hotel pics. (Dirty stained bench at end of bed, multiple carpet tears, etc). In addition to the condition of the room we experienced an air conditioner that was so loud we had to have the television at a much higher volume and speak loudly over the sound of the system when running. When the air conditioner would turn off the TV would be way too loud. We also had a coffee maker that never worked. We had a bathroom sink that didn't drain. We let the person who cleaned the room know that it wasn't working, but nothing was ever done. For the first two mornings that we were there work was being done on the room next to ours starting around 7:15 AM. It wasn't the kind of noise or atmosphere we expected on our vacation. Regarding the valet parking, we decided to pay the $50 a day and yet The first two mornings when we were ready to leave, we had to wait additional time for our car, even after giving the attendants the required 20 minutes request time before showing up at the curb. That additional time was between 25 and 30 minutes of waiting at the curb. One time the lady came out and told us she couldn't find the keys to the car. When it was time to check out, we stopped at the front desk to confirm charges that were put on our room. They were accurate. The lady asked us how our stay was we politely recounted most of the issues with the room and the valet parking. She was kind and offered to remove the valet parking charges.

Yelp
I just had a 4 night stay at this property and I have nothing bad to say about it. We arrived on Saturday morning around 11am and our room was all ready for us, yesssss! We checked on in, got our complimentary water bottles, and went up to the 5th floor to our room. We had a king sized bed and the room itself was pretty spacious. We had a couch, closet, desk, and a big enough bathroom for two. The bed was comfortable and the AC/Heater worked great! On our first day there, it was raining outside and the friendly lady at the front desk gave us an umbrella to use without us even asking. This made our day, thank you! Walking in and out of the hotel was a breeze and the elevators worked pretty fast. The housekeeping employees were also very friendly as we bumped into them in the hallways a few times and they would always greet us. The area itself felt pretty safe (day and night) and the hotel is in walking distance to everything. I will definitely consider staying here again when in the area!

Yelp
check in Aug 27, 2025 Rm 130: heavy urine smell, someone obviously got mad at the hotel or got really drunk and urinated all over the room. It's reprehensible that housekeeping didn't flag this and tell mgmt to take the room offline. Tfd to Rm 511: Strong musty mold odor. Mold and mildew on BA walls and ceiling. BA wallpaper peeling. Bathtub stained and dirty. Drain stopper broken. No water pressure, flow actually stopped many times. Toilet broken, didnt flush, had to go to Front Desk level to use toilet. Common areas: Very tired and dated overall. Marijuana odor permeates common areas. Musty mold odors. Luggage carts falling apart. Exterior finishes and landscaping completely neglected, in need of repair and updating. This hotel barely doing the minimum to stay open. NEVER AGAIN.

Yelp
Stayed here last week for 5 days ended up getting sick here after day 2 because they didn't clean the ac vents. I'm back in LA still living with the consequences. The refrigerator regardless of turning the dial to the lowest setting ruined all the food I purchased by freezing it to death, including the takeout I ordered, snacks I bought from target. The breakfast is salty and oily.

Yelp
Upon check-in, there was nobody at the front counter. I had to wait a little bit for that. The bathroom shower was either a scalding hot or freezing cold, but could not be adjusted to the right temperature despite the number of calls I have made to the front desk. They kept telling me they're going to send engineering up and nothing happened. I called to follow up a few times and nobody seems to want to help me out. My pillow cover had some pretty nasty stains on it. I asked to have my room cleaned and that didn't happen. There are lots of other choices of hotels in this area. I would stay away from this one.

Yelp
Very good experience at this location. Met the Operations Manager, Jalen, on entry. What a welcome! Friendly, professional, and happy. I want this guy on my team!! He asked if we had a room preference, and I said, "Quiet, cool, and no kid sport's teams nearby." He laughed and offered us a corner room. Perfect. The room was quiet & cool, the bed comfortable, and everything was very clean. I wasn't too thrilled about the $25 parking fee, but otherwise, we'd definitely return. Cheers! RS

Yelp
We booked a double room at the Hampton Inn Vanderbilt at 10:47am on 5/3/25 through capital one booking. Proceeded to drive 5+ hours to get to the hotel around 6:30pm, only for the man behind the counter to turn us away due to "rooms being sold out as of 6am". He stated that it was capital one's problem and there was nothing he could do as far as lodging or refunds. This fiasco not only made us late to our concert that we drove in to see, but we then had to scramble to find another hotel which ended up being FORTY FIVE MINUTES AWAY. Not to mention it's been 3 days since and Hampton Inn has apparently marked us as "no show" so I'm out $382.11. Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. I will never book at a Hampton Inn and plan to let everyone know about. Additionally, we were not the only people who had reservations that the man behind the counter turned away for the same reasoning.

Yelp
On our journey across the country we stopped at a few hotels. I must say this was the nicest Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at! The Inn, in total, was well kept, tidy, with a very friendly staff! The breakfast are was spotless and well attended! My wife and I were very please with out choice to stay here. Keep up the great work!!

Yelp
When we tried checking in online it wouldn't let us and when we got to the hotel we had to wait ten minutes for a front desk person to check us in. Gave us a room on the first floor right next to the elevator...and our dog was with us so every time someone went up the elevator our dog barked. What's more, the WiFi is terrible with little to do speed. Felt like we got hosed on getting drinks from the little canteen they had there ($5 for a bottle of water?!). The toilet kept running through the night. We stay at Hampton Inns all the time and this one was the worst. They need to work on matching room with situation

Yelp
This is a warning to those considering this hotel...Do not stay here. We stayed here 3 nights with some friends, resulting in a very negative experience. I believe the last update at this property was done in 1996. Very outdated. The hotel has an obvious humidity issue that has not been taken seriously. Multiple blower fans running 24/7 in the hallways. All rooms only have a window unit to control the temperature. The entire property felt damp and hot. Please BEWARE that the hotel does not state you will be charged to park on their lot. In turn, be prepared to spend a whopping $45 a night on parking. The hotel just seems to be extremely run down and not managed properly. Additionally, I must share a brief moment of my stay....During the morning on our 2nd day at the hotel, I turned to my wife as we were getting off the elevator to get to our room and asked her: "did I accidentally book us a weekend stay at the local petting zoo?" I'll elaborate on this comment....Every other room seemed to have some type of animal barking or making noise. For all we know there could've been an armadillo next door to us!!!! If it hadn't been for the outdoor pool I would have given this hotel 0 stars. The pool was well maintained and was probably the cleanest area on property. Chlorine does wonders. Now, was I expecting a 5 star resort when I booked this place? Not at all. The price and overall experience was just that disappointing. Safe to say we will not be back.

Yelp
Possibly the worst Hampton Inn ive ever stayed in. Exactly one piece of the fitness cardio equipment worked. The floors are dirty. The wallpaper is peeling. The staff barely spare enough attention to check you in and are otherwise too busy on phones or talking to be bothered. It isnt worth half the cost.

Yelp
Filthy. Bed bugs. Broken elevator. Terrible terrible service. Staff acted put out to have to deal with guests. I received better hospitality at a McDonalds than I did from this front desk. Room lacked basic toiletries like hand soap. Housekeeping in the hallway said sorry, all out, tell the front desk. Maintenance laughed at me when they saw me coming off the stairs (broken elevator). Maybe instead of laughing they should be fixing the toilet that doesn't stop running, or finishing the tub that's gouged. The hotel neighborhood area looked sketch & I didn't feel safe. Parking was $20 nightly for an open surface lot with no visible security. Cannot recommend. Can't trust 5-star reviews from accounts with no reviews.

Yelp
Mold in our room. Smell was so bad, my eyes watered every time we walked inside. Had to check out early because of it. Was still charged full amount.

Yelp
I'm a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many different Hilton properties across the world. This was by far my worst experience and Hilton Corporate not this Hampton property tried to make things right. I paid $300 for a one night stay because I had a last minute work trip. My room was in the basement and shared a wall with the breakfast area. As I walked through the breakfast area a man stopped me and asked how I got in. Excuse me?! I told him I came through the front door. I felt uneasy because it seemed like random people were being let in and the security was lacking. I proceed to my room. Directly across from my door was their event space room. As soon as I walked up to my door, there was a table and a woman checking people in for the event and then a line of chairs down the hall with people sitting in them and talking. I go into my room and can hear everything and it's so loud that it feels like all of those people are in my room. No privacy whatsoever. I try to tune it out by doing work on my laptop only to find out the internet is not working. I'm on a business trip so how am I to do work when your hotel claims it has WiFi but it's not working. Then I hear what sounded like a light knock at my door. I open my door to find a man from the event across the hall leaning on my door and talking to the woman at the registration table. How inconsiderate and rude! I went to the front desk and was told there's nothing they could do as they have no other rooms. My point was that $300 a night is ridiculous for a room in the basement next to their meeting space. They didn't seem to care. I even called corporate who got in contact with the hotel and there was nothing that could be done. I also received an email that I would be hearing from this hotel's manager about the issue within 3 days. I was so annoyed I decided to leave the hotel for a few hours and eat and hope it would be quiet when I returned. I get back and it's about 7:30pm. The cleaning crew was in the event space cleaning and vacuuming which I could hear from my room. I tried the internet again and it didn't work. Around 9pm I still heard noise across the hall. I tried calling the front desk twice and no one answered. I felt like they were ignoring my call. I take it upon myself to walk across and ask them to please keep it down as I can hear them in my room across the hall. The next morning I leave the hotel and the two sets of automatic double doors in the basement are stuck open. The one set has a sign stating it must remained closed and locked at all times. You need your room card to get in for security. But no security while I was there. Any random person would just walk right in off the street and come to my room if they wanted. I never heard from the hotel's manager after three days so I reached out again to corporate and it was some auto responded telling me someone would reach out. It's been almost 3 weeks and I'm still waiting. I will NEVER stay here again. For $300 per night to be stuck in the basement with no security and no privacy is utterly ridiculous. And the room wasn't in great shape for that price either.

Yelp
How can I not enjoy my stay at Hampton Inn? There's a pool, a fitness center, and of course free breakfast. I stayed here for a weekend and the room and hotel was clean. The TV in the room was a tad small. The room I stayed in came with a pullout couch so it's perfect for families. The room had the basic iron, hair dryer, and refrigerator (no microwave). Parking is an additional cost, but there's plenty of parking at the hotel. Breakfast is in the basement of the hotel and they had fresh juice in cups and pitchers! Something I have not seen at other Hampton Inn's I have stayed at. Huge plus. Of course breakfast came with the basic cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles you cook yourself, fresh fruit and tea and coffee. What also set breakfast apart from other stays was that the they also had banana bread waffle mix! I was amazed. Breakfast closes at 10am so get there before. One of the reasons why I wanted to stay at this hotel was that is it walking distance from Music Row and a good enough distance where I won't be disturbed from the Downtown madness.

Yelp
I am a Hilton Honors member and selected this Hampton Inn based on reviews, location, complementary parking and included breakfast. We stayed four nights and the hotel did not meet our expectations. Positives Clean and comfortable room, complementary parking, good location near downtown, highway access nearby, staff was friendly Negatives Requested room cleaning on two different days and it was not done Hot breakfast items like potato's were cold No hot cereal. They had an oatmeal pot but no oatmeal Room was noisy from emergency vehicles. Lots of sirens during the night Telephone had static. An employee checked it out and was suppose to replace it but never did. The bathroom door has several areas of peeling paint.

Branko S.

Yelp
Very bad and dirty hotel. I had a quick short stay here and I'm grateful. Room is disgusting. Soiled carpet. Shower had no shower curtain. I brought it up to front desk and they simply said they would notify housekeeping. Room had a bad odor in it. That's all. Very dirty lobby and breakfast area as well. I was surprised because I stayed at many Hampton Inns in the past and had a very positive experience.

Yelp
Broken elevator, no coffee cups or plates at breakfast (they honestly said they were all out), no housekeeping unless you schedule it 24 hr in advance. Creepy (older white male) shuttle driver. He kept talking about the young girls in the shuttle and how good they looked and smelled. Then on the trip home he made more comments about other young girls.
google avatar

Desiree D.

Yelp
great location - 20 min walk to downtown. however, they also have a free shuttle. its usually by request. my complaint about this is, it needs to run later. i think on weekends its over by 9 pm and week days by 7 pm. hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and hit all of our needs. prices were pretty descent too. only thing is, they charged an extra fee for us to have rooms next to eachother with an opening door. staff was awesome, super friendly and helpful. easy check in and out. anything we needed, they were there with arms open. the free beakfast is honestly pretty good. they have omelettes, oatmeal, cereal, waffle, bagels, etc. juices and tea and coffee. to be honest, i think this was a better set up that most hotels. they even have a nice big room with tvs for you to sit in to eat at.
google avatar

Vicki H.

Yelp
This hotel is horrible. Not up to standards and no one cared. Broken elevators. Trashed in lobby and this was 7 am. No shampoo, toilet paper and NO shower curtain. We had no clue that you had to ask to have your room cleaned. Never again. Not worth the price.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Terrible service- no coffee in the rooms- extremely loud music across the street will be booming off the room window keeping you up until after 1:00 am.... I don't recommend this hotel for serious business travelers.
google avatar

Staci D.

Yelp
This hotel was okay. The location is wonderful. It's an easy walk to everything. Rooms were not ready by 3 pm and there was a whole crowd of people in the lobby on our first day waiting with us to be checked in. Not sure if it was a staffing issue or what but we weren't mad about it - just would've been nice to get to our room after a long drive but they were very nice and courteous. Breakfast had lots of selections and plenty of seating so that's a plus. In a room that sleeps 4 we only had 3 towels and 1 rag which was very weird to me. I went downstairs to get another towel and three more rags and they were only able to give me one towel. It was 2 hours later before we got rags. The toilet and sink were both leaking in our room (yes we told them and hopefully it's being repaired before the next guest). No microwave in room - hate not being able to bring leftovers from restaurants back to the room and be able to heat them up in the room to eat. There is a microwave in the lobby.

Yelp
We booked a room last minute so we didn't get to stay downtown and this location seemed pretty close. So I booked it. I checked in early on my phone, requested a 5th floor room because I read on another travel site that it was quiet and the street noise was minimal. I'm glad I did only an occasional siren was heard. I called and requested a second luggage holder, you know those things in the closet you fold out to put your suitcase on? The front desk associate said she would see if there were any available, when we got to our room it was there. Yay! Thanks! The one they brought in as well as the one in the closet were both dusty, I always bring sanitizer wipes with me so we wiped them down (as well as the remote, light switches and door handles, don't want any additional germs! ) The room was clean and comfortable, I was thanked by the Front desk clerk for being a Hilton Honors Gold member, and given a choice of a snack (get the goo goo candy!) The best part of the room is the blinds, yep, I said it the blinds! They are black out blind for sure! I woke up around 8:45 am and it was still dark in my room, I thought it was maybe 5 am. Loved it! We got in after 1 am from the airport so it was nice no it to be woken up by bright sun! The front desk staff are great and seemed happy to give us food suggestions and the shuttle driver was great too! Sadly the shuttle was always busy when we tried to get back to the hotel from downtown so we had to Lyft back twice but it's a $7 Lyft ride so not a big deal. We did not eat the complimentary breakfast because we wanted to eat at suggested restaurants in the area and once you've had Hampton breakfast in one city they seem to be the same everywhere it's nice to get out and try the local fare. Nice place, I'd stay again.

A L.

Yelp
Staff were accommodating and very professional. The carpet in the room was not very clean and the baseboard was missing in some spots along the floor. Otherwise I would say 5

Yelp
I love the Hilton Honors chain of hotels, and I've stayed at this location multiple times over the past decade with all great experiences, but this stay was unlike any other stay. I had been traveling all week and just in from being down in the gulf area (NOLA). As recognized as a Hilton Honors member at the front desk, they had me spin a wheel for a prize, and I won 15,000 Hilton Honors points, which was nice, but my luck was soon to change. I get in my room (405), and it appears as a clean and decent room. It was warm and stuffy in there, so I tried to adjust the AC, but it is not responding. Then it puts out error code (A2). I also could not find TV remote. When I decided to call the front desk from the phone in room, there was no cord from phone to handset which I found odd to be missing, so I called from the speaker phone option. The front desk was quick to send me up a remote, and the associate who brought it said he would contact someone to look at AC. Within about 5 minutes, another associate arrives at my room, reached under the AC unit and clicks something in which I assume reset the unit and it began cooling the room down. At this time, it was appr. 8 PM. The associate then reached back behind bedside table, and pulled up the phone cord, and an old paper cup. He reinstalled the cord into the phone, and said he would come back in a few minutes to make sure the AC was still cooling off, and I told him that it was fine, as I was going to go quickly to grab a bite to eat. I get back from walking to get take out from a restaurant down the street around 8:25 PM, and as my room was now cooled down, I ate and went to bed watching TV. At about 10:30 PM, I wake to a knock at my door. I get my bearings and answer door to see the AC maintenance associate back wanting to check unit. Extremely tired, I welcome him back in as it was feeling warm-ish again. He said that the error code was displayed yet again. He reaches back under unit, and resets it again. He was nice and asked if I wanted to change rooms. It was again cooling off, and I decided as it was late and I was very tired, I was just ready for him to go so I could get rested for the early day I had ahead. He apologized, said that he may need to replace the AC in the morning and went on his way. I awoke the next morning with it very hot and muggy in there, and when checking out, I told the lady at front desk the problems from previous evening. She clearly didn't appear happy to be there, and asked me if I wanted a receipt. I told her yes, so she handed it to me and simply said, "I'll let someone know about your room." At that point, I was ready to rush out to my car and kick on the AC, as I was already heavily sweating. Overall, I would highly recommend Hilton hotels, as out of all of my previous stays, this was only bad experience. You never know what is going on in someone else's world, and I'll stay there again. PS - I still haven't seen the 15,000 Hilton Honors point I won, however, they did add 2,396 points for my 1 night stay.

Yelp
This was the worst Hampton Inn hotel experience I have had. The operations of the hotel and staff need a lot of improvements. Our room was cleaned once in a week after numerous calls requesting cleaning, with staff saying things such as "we don't clean since Covid" or "we only clean when you request it" even though there are stickers in the room stating the rooms will be cleaned every other day. I called for a broken toilet flusher which was never fixed. When I called to have the ac checked out because it was musty and mildewy, I returned to my room hours later to find my room's door open. During the week, I noticed many room door's opened including the connecting room. When I reported this to the manager, he listened and said he would get back to me which he never did! After a week, when asking to speak to the manager again to get my room cleaned the staff literally yelled and lied to me in the lobby. After, another customer came up to me and said he just checked out early because he has had nothing but problems at this hotel. It is pet friendly and in a good location but don't expect much from the staff and definitely don't expect pool towels or having your room cleaned! There are a lot of great hotels in Nashville, I would stay away from this one!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at the Hampton Inn Nashville/Vanderbilt. The location was perfect, the weekend shuttle was helpful, and the staff was spectacular. James, the manager, was wonderful to work with when booking rooms for my group, and he ensured everything went smoothly throughout our stay. Omir was so helpful in getting what we needed for the rooms. The breakfast ladies were incredible! They went above and beyond to not only provide a delicious meal, but to make us feel welcome with their kind and bubbly personalities. Maid service was terrific, and the shuttle drivers were great as well. Thanks, Hampton Inn! I can't thank you all enough for helping me plan a wonderful and memorable birthday weekend for my mom.

Yelp
The hotel was clean overall but the floors in and outside the elevators were not. The shower handle was broken in our room. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Construction is going on next door which is loud and an eyesore. The room was clean.

Yelp
We just went here for my friends birthday, and we had such a wonderful time! It was right next door to the White Limozeen, and within walking distance of a few other great locations! The staff was extremely friendly, and the breakfast they served in the morning was spectacular! As strange as it may sound, I had been craving hotel breakfast for a good while, and this definitely satisfied what I had been looking for! The lobbies and restrooms were extremely clean, and our rooms were so nice! I'm so excited for my next stay with your hotel chain!

Yelp
Nope. Won't stay here again. Old. Smells. And my husband and I have rashes all over our body. Hopefully not bed bugs. The highlight was the breakfasts were good and fresh.

Yelp
Booked a room through booking.com with a confirmed room type and when I arrived I was given another room type and told that they don't guarantee room type since I didn't book thru them. They told me I should have called to confirm my room type. I received 6 emails from them within 8 days and not one said I needed to confirm my room type. No apology, nothing. I am a gold Hilton member and they didn't care about that either. I would NEVER recommend this property

Yelp
Four nights and just so run down for the money paid. Broken lights, towel holders, lack of lighting in general, no bathroom ventilation, hall rugs rarely vacuumed, not enough towels in room, over 75 degrees all wee and pool closed. Just needs a complete renovation. Pillows were awful. Room very stuffy and air conditioner was average at best. Seriously, this hotel was no better than a discount hotel in a small town. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. I expected so much better. Never again.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel because I'm a Hilton Honors member. The receptionist was good , the WiFi is faulty , and my only pet peeve is cleanliness. There's coach roach in the room . I woke up with a mini roach crawling. I killed it with my shoe . Eek ! I tried to tell the front desk and to tell management. She said the system is down , and that was all that was said . Uggghh. I just needed to go back home . I go to Nashville/ Vanderbilt area frequently because my daughter is a student at Vanderbilt. This one night stay is my first experience at the Hamptons Inn.

Yelp
Staff is great for the most part but don't stay here unless you want your vehicle broken into. There's pretty much no security cameras and no security guard walking the lot at night. Not gated so anyone can come in, break in and keep it moving. The same night 8 vehicles were broken into so that's pretty suspicious and not okay.

Yelp
We stayed in this hotel this weekend. The front desk folks are not helpful and not friendly. The cleaning service is very bad. Hotel is dirty, we stayed 2 nights and housekeeping did not show up in the second day. Location is convenient. Breakfast is good. A car windows was broken in the hotel around 2 am and nobody contacted the honor. I will not stay in this hotel again.

Yelp
Disappointed. Not the experience I was hoping for. This place looked and smelled old and musty. $20 to park after spending $95 to sleep. Small tv. No bathtub mat, Breakfast was disappointing, I understand Covid but other lower cost hotels had a hot breakfast. Won't stay here or a Hampton inn again.

Yelp
We called twice to see if we could check in early. In order to not be late for our event, we wanted to check in at least at 2:30pm when the check in time was 3:00pm. They repeatedly told us no... We ended up having to do a mobile check in around 7pm from the event we were in town attending. We were given a room number and a mobile key. Everything sounds good so far, right??? After our event around 12am, we were walking to the hotel with our luggage (stored in a friends hotel- Courtyard next block over) when we learned that our room was booked by someone else. The hotel gave our room away. They overbooked the hotel and gave our room away even after we did a mobile check in. After experiencing horrible customer service by employees all day, we now had no place to stay. Lorrie downplayed the incident and acted like going 5 miles to a green hills location was a wonderful solution to this horrible problem. Also, her extreme lack of attention to detail resulted in many other horrifying occurrences: taxi dropped us off at the wrong hotel and our *new room* was a single bed when we originally booked a double...one person in our group had to sleep on the ground bc of this. We booked this Hampton inn hotel room two months in advance with the intent to stay in west end. What a horrible experience. Ruined our night and following morning. I will never stay with Hilton ever again especially this location in Nashville. Do not stay here.

Yelp
Employees were always friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was very clean, and passed my walking around in bare feet test. Really liked the desk on wheels which could be moved in front of the window or wherever. This was our first hotel that had an automatic nightlight plugged in the bathroom, which certainly beats having to flip on a bright glaring light in the middle of the night. Their free breakfast offered from 6 AM until 10 AM was actually replenished and out until 10 AM. Minor gripe= Could use a larger laundry bag. Prefer a larger window, felt a bit claustrophobic, but we would definitely return. Outstanding employees, including their shuttle drivers, make a difference.

Yelp
Probably wouldn't stay here again. A big part of this was that the room cost over $300/night (because of a holiday weekend) and I feel like it was absolutely not worth that. The good. Check in was a breeze, the front desk staff were very nice. The location is decent, you're about a 20-30 minute walk from Lower Broadway and a shorter walk to Vanderbilt and Centennial Park (and the Parthenon). There were always plenty of Ubers in the vicinity. There is also a Hattie B's right near it and a couple of other bars that seemed cool. I caught the shuttle once and it was great, our driver (D) was a blast. The bad. The hotel is very dated. Our room was dark, had a view of a parking lot, and had kind of a musty smell. The temperature never seemed quite right. The shower head was also not working very well. While I never want to be too critical of a continental breakfast, nothing ever seemed too appetizing. The shuttle was hard to catch, I usually just paid for an Uber (averaging around $6-7) to get to Lower Broadway because I didn't want to wait. While Lower Broadway is walkable, I would not do it on the way back at night, there's parts that are a little dicey (especially near the interstate). No shuttle service to the airport kinda stinks though I paid $17 both ways on Uber which I thought was very reasonable.

Yelp
Worst Hampton Inn I have stayed at. Needs a good renovation. Toilet would not stop running. Hot water ran out fast. No microwave in the room. They had two very slow elevators and it was faster to take the stairs. The breakfast area and food was horrible. First of all it is in the basement. To get there you walked by trolleys of dirty laundry, a couple of ladders in the hallway. They have a poster in the lobby that shows what type of breakfast food they offer however what was actually there was pretty sad. Anemic tasteless scrambled eggs, green bananas. The microwave in the dining area was filthy. They do have a barely lit workout room in the basement, however the two TV's didn't work. One of the two treadmills did not work. As a female I was not comfortable working out alone down there.

Yelp
I'm a long time Hilton Honors member and whenever possible stay at Hilton branded hotels. I've stayed at their hotels all over the world. Hampton Inns are a good, value priced chain that typically covers the basics and this hotel is no exception. The rooms here have been partially remodeled, the beds and desks are new, the televisions seem to be reasonably new. The rest of the furniture like the love seat in the photo with my review are old and worn and the carpet is also old, stained and worn. I'm not a fan of either. The art on the walls was also very dated and the tub was old and was bowed in the bottom, it was also extremely slick with not mat or traction surface. The parking lot is good, they do have security that roams through at night. The breakfast is typical of the chain. They do have vending machines as there is no close convenience store. The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful, had it not been for them I'd have likely give this place two stars because of the grunginess of the carpet and furniture. I'd stay here again for sure but I'd hope they'd take care of some of the issues first.

Yelp
Rare hotel in Nashville that doesn't charge for parking! I did a detailed research and compared this one to many others on Orbitz. Make sure you tally in the parking costs when you compare this hotel to others because if you have 2 cars @ $20 per day for 5 days, that will cost you $200 just for parking! Yikes. You can take the free shuttle within a 2 mile radius and then take Uber/Lyft back to the hotel for $4-6. I suggest you drive to Parthenon though because parking is free and easy. Also, if you want to go touring after midnight (which I did), it's okay to drive because there is plenty of side street parking for free (especially on 3rd/Molloy). Excellent service! Breakfast = amazing! It gets kinda crowded in the breakfast area but it gets the job done. The servers are quick to refill as soon as something runs out and they are constantly on standby if you need anything else. A lady who was handicap basically had her own personal server (she sat down and made the server do everything for her, she even made the waffles which takes 5-6 minutes). I accidentally spilled an entire jug of ice right in front of the manager/supervisor and she didn't show any sign of annoyance. Instead she took the jug from my hand and said I'll get you more water. You won't see this in Chicago!!! Our pillows/bed were super duper comfy. Extra extra clean. Our thermostat though wasn't quite working. We set the thermostat to 60 degrees but the room temperature was consistently at 70 degrees. House keeping is super quick, but make sure you call early if you want something because I think housekeeping closes at 10ish. The free wifi works well enough to stream movies/music. You will be walking distance from many coffee shops, Pizza hut, taco bell and a bunch of other stuff. I thought this hotel was in a great location overall.

Yelp
Five stars for really courteous and accommodating staff! I can't say enough! Other than that, it is a typical holiday inn ...

Yelp
This place is A-OK. This place gets a solid 3.5 stars. The Good: It's affordable. In fact, it's one of the most affordable in the area. The rooms are simple and clean. The space is utilized very well. They did bring me a microwave when requested at no extra charge, which was really nice. The beds are comfortable. The gym has the makings for a very good workout. The only thing I'd suggest is some kettle bells and a bosu ball. Hampton has a decent breakfast in the AM, featuring yogurts, eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, boiled eggs, and/or a selection of breads and baked goods including waffles. Fresh fruit and a fruit medley area also available. The Bad: Not much in the bad department. The carpets were dirty, as evidenced by our dirty socks. Some of the staff was super friendly, while others....not so much. They had a fire alarm go off at around 0800. We all rushed outside (it was probably close to 30 degrees) but got to go in about 20 minutes later. I guess that there was a leak down in the basement. I think it was pretty awesome that the staff kept us updated, but it really sucked when the water got turned off post-alarm, and I couldn't take a shower after I went to the gym :( The verdict: This is a decent place. It's not fantastic, but it's good enough to lay down your head at night to rest.

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 nights (Thu-Sat) and I have to say - I was impressed! I thought it was a little expensive but everything was clean, and well functioning (except for the loose outlet in the bathroom but that just made it homey). The bed was incredibly comfortable. Great pillows, and I liked the nice little tray thing with beanbags and elastic so one could read or work on a laptop in bed -- I want one of those things! The bedding was fantastic - it was very comfortable and distinctly lacking in cat hair (a feature that would have made it more homey). The hotel was well insulated from outside noise. I could see the cars going by but couldn't hear them! Yay! The staff - Russell, TO, Craig (the shuttle driver) were all incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. The fitness room even has dumbbells! And towels! And water! The cons - well, I would love it if other guests would be more considerate. There was more door-slamming and shouting in the hallway than in a freshman dorm the first weekend a bunch of teenagers spend away from home. And - I'm not talking about teenage guests. People were LOUD in the hallway late at night and nobody held their door in hand to close it, just let it slam BAM! shut behind them. Folks were shockingly rude in their noisiness as they walked past where other people were sleeping. I didn't bother to look at breakfast - I'm vegan. I brought a shaker and protein powder because I don't expect anyone outside the Bay Area or Portland to actually know what vegans eat. And - no hot tub/jaccuzzi! There was a tiny excuse of a pool but not even a hot sauna or steam room? Bummer. I'd stay there again - but definitely rent a car because sidewalks are inconsistent in Nashville.
