Hamptonne Country Life Museum

Not large, but a thoroughly engaging living museum centred around a 17th- and 18th-century Jersey country house, offering a glimpse into everyday life of the period, complete with livestock throughout the grounds. A most pleasant place to visit, particularly with the Jersey Heritage Pass.

It was a lovely place to visit the staff were very friendly, it was nice to be able to see what it was like in years gone by and also to see jersey calf’s, it was a lovely day out, would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different to do and it’s great for the kids

Arrived in time for a free guided tour, which was excellent! Got to sample the cider made on site. Lovely to see chickens able to run free and do chicken-y things like scratching for grubs. They've done a fantastic job renovating the site and bringing it to life. Well worth a visit!

Best day out in a long time! I hadn't been in years, and wondered if it would be as great as I remembered from when I was a kid. I actually think I loved it more now! Beautiful historical buildings, so many gorgeous animals to appreciate- feeding the chickens was the best! And the staff were so lovely. I can't wait to go back

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit - very interesting and brilliant to walk around. The chickens & baby chicks wondering around all over the place made it even better! Definitely recommend a visit.

Surprisingly enjoyable visit. Didn't know what to expect but we caught the bus from St Helier & walked down the small lanes to the farm where we were welcomed & immediately offered a guided tour. First stop was the cider barn with complimentary tasting. Then a tour of the farm buildings showing life through the centuries. Dave, the brilliant guide was interesting & entertaining. A few farm animals to see, chickens to feed & on our visit several week old chickens to ooh & aaah over ❤️. The hard working staff are volunteers & you can tell they are very proud of their museum. There is even a lovely lady showing you how to make bonnets. Sadly we didn't have time to visit the tea room as the buses only run once an hour. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Lovely historical rural buildings for a quick visit. There are a few farm animals to see and a short film about wartime Jersey. Demonstrations and a free tour are available.

Absolutely loved this experience. So much we visited twice. The history is amazing but to be amongst the free roaming chickens and wonderful lands was brilliant. Friendly and informative staff and free car park.
