We had an upstairs room with private restroom and it was great. My wife and 4 year old were happy. Great location fresh fruit straight from the backyard. Kitchen has all u need to reheat food or cook or store it for the night. Other guest were not even noticed, everyone minds their own business. Room doesn’t have A/C but plenty of fans kept us fresh. Take mosquitoes spray if you plan on being outside. Recommend if you’re planning to spend one or two nights in Hana.

Homier than a hotel, this was more like an old-fashioned rooming house – kinda funky but in a good way. Rooms are not large and the bed was a little squeaky but we appreciated having a mini fridge and the private bathroom across the hall was clean and spacious. No ocean view but the property is centrally located off the main road and was clean and felt safe. Complimentary coffee & tea in the shared kitchen was a bonus. We enjoyed this budget-friendly place and were happy to support a small business in beautiful, historic Hana town. This is a great value in a pricey area and definitely provides local vibes.

The upstairs room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a mini-fridge with filtered water jug. The room and the private bathroom (en-suite in our case) felt clean and well maintained. Even without air-conditioning, the fans and cross-breezes were cool and comfortable at night. Location is ideal just a short walk/drive to beaches, food trucks. The host was welcoming and helpful.

Excellent short stay in Hana 10/29/25, great location, awesome room #3, absolutely love your self-serve kitchen with full refrigerator, great coffee choices, and options to prepare a meal. Host Bear was most gracious in our many questions about the area & planning our day, nearby food truck recommendations, etc. We slept great our 1 night in Hana, definitely recommend a comfortable night here in a clean, safe Inn without breaking the bank! Mahalo!!!

Great location close to the Hana Bay beach park, clean rooms with simple setup. The host welcomed us during check-in and shared useful information about nearby restaurants and things-to-do. We stayed in room 8 that includes an en-suite bathroom but no air-conditioning, and it was warm and humid throughout the day/night. The kitchen/living spaces downstairs are shared with other guests. Great stay overall, would recommend to anyone passing through Hana and looking for a place to stay for a night or two.

It was so great to stay here at Hāna Inn Maui. Melissa was so kind and always helped a lot where to get foods, where to hike and all the stuff. It was so great to have talk story with Melissa. Also room is very clean and I have everything I need in my room. Lanai was also great to feel breeze and I also met some amazing guest from all over the world here at night. I definitely come back here near future. Thank you so much for great time here, Melissa!

Wonderful overnight if doing the Road to Hana. Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable rooms and all you could ask for when stopping over on the Road to Hana if coming from the West side. (very much recommended that you do this drive AND stay over before returning the following day as not to rush things!). We are 2. Couples and stayed in rooms 2 and 3. Both ground floor. One en suite, one with its own bathroom opposite the room. All amenities provided and the ‘communal kitchen’ with tea, coffee and complimentary oats for breakfast was an unexpected bonus. Highly recommended.

This place is perfect for a night in Hana if you’re looking to unwind after a long day. It’s quiet, peaceful, and has such cozy, relaxing vibes. I’m giving it 5 stars not only for that, but also for the excellent customer service. While the rooms don’t have AC (very common in Hana), the staff went above and beyond to understand my concerns and make sure we were comfortable. Thanks to their kindness and attentiveness, we slept well and had a great stay. Highly recommend!
